Summary
Akira Kurusu never became the Trickster.
He was supposed to.
But the power meant for him was stripped away—stolen by Yaldabaoth, the false god behind the Game. Without a Persona, without allies, Akira spent two years in the shadows of the world: one in juvenile detention, and one in isolation, forgotten by society and rejected by his own parents.
Alone, discarded, and numbed by depression, Akira spent his days addicted to video games, retreating from reality—especially into Persona 5, a game he loved even when it hurt. He never made friends. He never believed he deserved a second chance.
But the Velvet Room still remembered him.
They gave him everything: his Personas, his memories, his items, his power—and a second life in a world that never judged him. But Akira, hollowed by guilt and self-loathing, never once believed he deserved any of it. Still, he agreed to help—not out of duty, but because he wanted to see these people, the ones who gave him hope in fiction, live real lives.
