Chapter 1: What happened to Zoro?

Chapter Text

“Let go of me! And give me my swords back!” yelled Zoro. He was restrained, his wrists were handcuffed tightly, and were also restrained with thick rope. His ankles and waist were tied to the chair as well, fully restraining him. The more he fought against the restraints, the tighter they became. Zoro’s hands were going numb from the constraints, as his fingertips turned slightly purple. The handcuffs were made with such metal that they could block the user from using quirks. While Zoro doesn’t have a quirk the specific metal still made it so he felt sluggish and found it hard to move. His vision was blurred and his ears rang.

He was in what looked like a dark, abandoned, shack. There was only a little light that came from candles, and the environment was dry and dusty. Occasionally the sounds of rats scurrying about were heard. There was graffiti on the walls, and even the floor. Besides Zoro’s chair there was a worn down desk, with multiple holes in it that looked like they were made by knives.

“Maybe we should tape his mouth shut again again,” sneered Dabi as he tossed the tape up and down, “his waffling is getting irritating.”

“You know we can’t do that, we need him to talk,” replied Shigaraki, a dark smile appeared on his face as he stared at Zoro; “If he doesn’t talk… then we’ll make him.”

“I don’t know how I got here, how many times do I tell you! Just let me out so I can go back to my crew,” growled Zoro, as he continued to struggle against the rope. He winced as he felt some blood trickle down his wrist.

“Your existence in this world is proof that the Sunpoko - the device that can make someone travel between dimensions - is real. You expect us to believe that you, a pirate from who knows where, don’t know where it is when you used it to come here?” said Shigaraki as he grew more irritated. The green haired buffoon of a pirate wouldn’t talk! It was starting to get on his nerves.

“You know…I don’t think he’s lying about being lost, I mean, it’s a possibility that he didn’t even know what a Sunpoko was until we started questioning him,” added Toga with a sly smirk on her face. She was playing around with a knife, ready to use it to threaten Zoro if Shigaraki asked her to.

“What are you suggesting? That he somehow found the one-and-only Sunpoko in existence, that there’s any stories off, and ended up in our world…coincidentally? Toga, do you know how low those odds are?” replied Dabi in a defensive tone, raising an eyebrow skeptically. Toga shrugged in response.

“She’s right, you know! Maybe listen to people for once…” grumbled Zoro under his breath. Hearing this Dabi shot him a cold glare and created a small blue fire as a threat to silence him. This seemed to backfire, as Zoro immediately started to bicker with him.

“Wait. Dabi, she could be right. We need to consider the possibility that he genuinely doesn’t know how he got here. He did mention that there were pirates in his world, it’s very possible that this was all a trap that he fell into that another pirate from an enemy crew had set up…” Shigaraki mumbled under his breath. He had a hand on his chin as he pondered. The bickering between Zoro and Dabi continued in the background.

“But who would trap me and send me to some random universe?” asked Zoro with a very confused and flustered look on his face. He glanced towards his swords in the corner and thought “If only I had them right now…I could use them to break free of this stupid chair and these stupid handcuffs.”

“But he has to know something about the Sunpoku, that damn device is how he got here in the first place!” shouted Dabi. He started to get a bit irritated and annoyed at how badly this interrogation was going. It was practically a massive failure. He turned to Zoro and glared at him. “Do you have any recollection of how you ended up in this world? Any information you can give?”

Zoro smirked at him. “I suppose there is one thing…but what do I get in return?”

Dabi clenched a fist and his glare darkened. Right as Dabi was about to respond to Zoro, Shigaraki cut him off. “If you give us any information, even if it’s just one sentence, we’ll set you free. But it has to be valuable.”

“What!?” replied Dabi and Toga with a confused expression on their faces.

“But you said I could play with his body after! I got the table ready and everything!” whined Toga, clearly not happy with the fact that they were setting Zoro free. She threw the knife she was playing with at the small broken table in front of Zoro. Zoro couldn’t help but shudder…he didn’t know much about Toga, but he could tell that she was insane. Her “playing with his body” certainly meant something horribly torturous.

“Shut it you two this might be our only way to get any information about the Sunpoko.” said Shigaraki as he gave them a threatening look. Dabi gave in reluctantly as he grumbled to himself, and Toga scowled as she crossed her arms.

“I probably can’t set myself free because of the stupid material the handcuffs are made from, and I can’t feel my hands anymore…” Zoro thought to himself as he sighed and looked up at Shigaraki. “Fine. I’ll tell you one thing. One thing only.”

“Deal.” Shigaraki nodded with a somewhat satisfied look on his face.

“Last I saw the Sunpoko was in a big forest near a waterfall. There was a sign saying ‘Nachi Falls.’ There, that should be specific enough for you to know the location of where I last saw it, right?” asked Zoro, raising an eyebrow.

“Nachikatsuura huh…” mumbled Shigaraki to himself with a thoughtful expression on his face. “Very well, this narrows it down to a city at least…if it’s still there. Dabi, free Zoro just as we said we would.”

Just as Dabi was about to free Zoro, a voice called out from behind everyone.

“Nachikatsuura huh? Seems like the work I came here to do got done before I needed to do anything.” said an amused voice. After turning around, the people saw no one other than Sasuke. Sasuke was staring at them with a grin on his face, with a hand on his sword.

Chapter 2: Naruto's Mission

Chapter Text

“Naruto! C’mon the Hokage called us, she’s waiting you know!” shouted Sakura knocking at Naruto’s door. Naruto lived in a small apartment with a grayish green door, when Naruto opened the door it was clear how messy of a person Naruto was. There was a huge stash of instant ramen on the floor, and two decks of cards on the table. “You should really clean up after yourself you know!”

“Geez calm down Sakura she called us there at eleven, it’s still 10:45 we have time” said Naruto with a smirk on his face.

Sakura growled and grabbed his wrist and started running towards the Hokage’s office. “It’s common courtesy to show up around ten minutes early if the Hokage is calling you, moron! Show some respect! I ought to slap some sense into you…” Sakura continued to grumble the whole way there. “Kakashi sensei better not be late as he usually is.”

After a couple minutes they arrived at the Hokage’s office. The building was huge, and had red and orange walls. It had multiple floors, and a place on the roof for people to gather. Sakura knocked at the door in the building that led to the office, and walked into the room after she got permission. They were right on time.

“Where is sensei?” Naruto asked, looking around and not seeing Kakashi.

Sakura sighed and rubbed her temples, “He’s late again, isn’t he Tsunade-Sama.”

Tsunade, the Hokage laughed. “Seems so. Let’s hope he arrives within the next five minutes.”

Tsunade was sitting at a huge desk, and the room had a ton of windows. The desk had a poster with the symbol of the Hidden Leaf Village on it, and two huge stacks of paper. After waiting a couple minutes Kakashi arrived, waltzing in through the door calmly.

“Wow, what’s up with the angry look Sakura?” he asked nonchalantly with his hands in his pockets.

“You’re late!” yelled Sakura. Kakashi just stands there as if he is used to being berated by Sakura, while Naruto tries to calm her down.

After a bit of watching the commotion with an amused expression on her face, Tsunade called them to pay attention to her. “Hey guys listen up!” she shouted.

The others don’t pay attention to her as Sakura continued to argue with Kakashi, as Naruto stood in between them.

Irritated, Tsunade slammed her hands onto her desk. “I said listen!”

Sakura silenced herself and looked apologetic as she and the others turned around to face Tsunade, the Hokage. “Sorry Tsunade-Sama…” Sakura apologized with a sheepish expression on her face.

Tsunade cleared her throat. “Now then, time to get to the serious matter. I have a mission for you guys, Naruto specifically.”

“Me? Alone? Woah what even is this mission,” grumbled Naruto wondered as he looked at Tsunade with a curious look on his face.

“We have received information that in mainland Japan, where the heroes are, a strange man has appeared. He claims to be a pirate from another dimension, and was last seen a week ago. People think that the League of Villains has abducted him, and is using him to get information about the Sunpoko…” started Tsunade. At the mention of the Sunpoko, Naruto stood up straighter.

“The Sunpoko? Isn’t that a children's myth?” asked Sakura with a perplexed expression. Naruto nodded as if he was going to ask the same question.

“While the Sunpoko is treated as a story…this evidence, if true, could contradict that. It could very much be a reality,” said Kakashi.

“As you all should know, it would be disastrous if the League of Villains, or the Akatsuki, got their hands on the Sunpoko. So, I have decided to enroll Naruto into UA. He will join class 1-a, as they’re the class that has the most encounters with the League of Villains,” continued Tsunade as she crossed her arms.

“Huh? Just me?” wondered Naruto at the same time Sakura said “Huh? Just him?”

Tsunade sighed. “Yes, only Naruto. We need as many ninjas in the village as possible as we could get attacked by the Akatsuki any second now. It would be safest to send Naruto, as the Akatsuki are after him since he’s a Jinchuriki. If they do attack the village, it is better that Naruto isn’t here so that they don’t take him.”

“I suppose that makes sense…” replied Kakashi as he ran a hand through his gray hair.

“Alright! I’ll do it!” said Naruto enthusiastically as he gave Tsunade a thumbs-up.

“Tsunade-Sama, are you sure that he can handle this alone…this mission seems serious” worried Sakura as she shot a concerned glance in Naruto’s direction.

“He will be fine. He’s a tough person, and has gone on worse missions before,” replied Tsunade as she grinned. “He leaves in four days. Naruto, start getting ready.”

“Yes ma’am!” Naruto replied with a big smile on his face.
