Chapter Text

Yoko was in full scheming mode because when your bestie's spiraling over her goth-coded situationship, you don't just sit back and vibe. No. You act. She'd had enough of Enid moping around like a love-struck golden retriever with glitter withdrawal.

The holiday break had been... an experience for Yoko, and she does not want to go through that again. Wednesday, being the Addams she is and not a slave to technology, had opted for raven-delivered letters like they were characters in a Victorian horror-romance. Romantic? Sure. Also deeply unsettling, because imagine a raven coming at night to your window, tapping the glass frantically, of course, one would panic, but this is Wednesday, and

Enid, naturally, recognized the raven with a tied scroll on its leg and wrote back.

But every time the raven was in the air, she'd vent to Yoko about the painfully slow exchange rate between conversations. Still, she waited. Every time. And she always replied, with whatever means necessary, because this wasn't just for anyone. This was for her Wednesday. The girl who plagued her mind as she wrote to her. The girl whose words cut deep in her heart forever burned in her memory, you could say Wednesday had some influence on Enid, especially the WWWD, What would Wednesday do? She admired the girl to a great extent.

Plus, she owes it to Enid. The girl has helped her get with Divina, another siren in Bianca's group, if Enid can play matchmaker, so could Yoko. All she had to do was gain concrete facts to shove in Enid's face or she could just do the worse and hypnotize Enid, but who was she kidding Wednesday will probably drive a stake through her heart while smearing garlic paste in it, before she could ever lay a finger on Enid, you know what? Wednesday could even feel the intent and stop Yoko, and that's the scary part, anything that involves Enid, she will be the first to know even if they were miles apart.

An idea flashed in Yoko's mind, and that's when she started writing a careful, detailed plan.

Phase One: Blink Watch 24/7

Yoko might have gone off the rails a little with this, but all is fair in love and war; she was sure that the Greek goddess of love, Venus, was approving of her plans in the sky. It wasn't about proving humanity. It was about proving human emotion, that emotion, my dear readers, was Wednesday's emotion for Enid, in Yoko's mind, " What emotion? I don't know, but something is better than nothing.' Every micro-movement-level, Yoko swears she will catch it all like the true vampire she is, as well as a gossip queen who thrives off information like blood.

She recruited Ajax, who, let's face it, was made for a poorly disguised spy mission, but unfortunately, the only one crazy enough to join this excursion. Bianca called her mad, and well .....Eugene just thinks Wednesday is now capable of showing human attributes. So Yoko was left with Ajax, a poor choice, but she had no options like zilch, so it was this or nothing, and she would rather have something. However Ajax was as suspicious as a human pretending to be an animal in a zoo; it was ridiculous and noticeable.

He had a pair of tinted glasses, a phone camera held suspiciously sideways, and was peeping at Wednesday. Yoko rolled her eyes back as she saw this scene, mentally complimenting why the goddess of Venus was not on her side, 'Why me, why Ajax" is what she kept thinking about. She had to physically drag the snake-haired boy across the courtyard to a nearby bench to have a... good chat with him

"Ajax, for the love of Venus, I texted you 'BE SUBTLE'. Do you call this subtle?" Yoko vented out

"Huh- Venus? Ummmmm dawg relax I'm sure this Venus will love this, and subtle shiiiiii this is subtle, no one can tell, matter of fact I am the definition of subtle."

"Please, you're the definition of a lousy excuse! Honestly, if chaos had a face, it would be yours." Ajax snorted her comment, "Yo bro! You're the crazy one who suggested this, I'm just following what my heart tells me for my gal Enid. Team Wenclair for the win!!!!!"

Yoko was taken aback, is she crazy? I mean, sure, she knew that, but this coming from the boy who ate washing powder because he mistook it for sherbert is calling her crazy. With bewildered eyes, she said, "Excuse me? Do you have soap in your mouth or would you like some sherbert?'

Ajax's mouth dropped as he heard that, "Excuse you, that was one time and you know it, plus anybody else would have mistaken it too!!" "Yeah, yeah, keep telling that to yourself, maybe get another rinse cycle while you're at it.. God knows you need a cleansing detox."

"You know what, I may need a break to detox, but at least I'm not a consistent bloodsucker for the human anatomy, yet your failing biology as a vampire, tell me how?"

Someone started approaching them due to the two's loud bickering.

"Easy does it, guys. What's the racket? The bees seem to be agitated from this abuse." Eugene butted alongside Enid.

"Ummmm guys, what's this I hear about videoing Wednesday, ughhh...I can't believe this, did you forget my words I told you guys, so uncool." Enid, who is blatantly getting annoyed at the two's buffoonery, "Yoko, I told you this is a bad idea, and Ajax, it's kinda sweet you're helping and in for that, but oh Ajax, not this time."

"Hey! How come the ex bf gets a 'sweet Ajax' and I get 'Yoko no'?" Yoko said in a mocking tone.

"Maybe it's because he is the one who didn't come up with this plan???" Enid said while gesturing to the whole mess of a show.

Yoko started to feel bad for not listening to enid but in her heart she was screaming that she should've excluded Ajax and done this for herself , as Enid clearly did not like the plan and Ajax just joined because he is Ajax, Yoko started her plotting in her mind but to her demise Enid caught that "Im plotting" face she knew that face oh too well.

" Yoko! Let's no more-" Enid was cut off as a certain raven head appeared, interrupting her lecture. " I felt a strange pair of eyes as I walked. Naturally, I assumed that it must have been coming from here. And I'd say my instincts were correct, I don't pose that as a question because I know I am, so would you all like to explain yourselves, or do I have to deduce the reasoning behind this?" Yoko hated how accurate Wednesday's senses are, especially since she is a normie, was she even a normies, she did say something that meant Addams are their own occult anyways, not the topic at hand, she then began to ponder how to swerve the conversation, if she can even do so with Wednesday as her judge.

Enid jumped in as she saw Yoko's face, "Hey! roomie, your senses are absolutely killer, you know, like they should recruit for a spy force!!" Wednesday looked at Enid with a smug expression for the compliment, "Mhm, I'd rather operate outside the confines of governmental incompetence."

Yoko was glad Enid butted in, times like this proves her point, Enid is a great distraction as Wednesday's focus is only on her.

Wednesday only cares about Enid!

As the two started to immerse into each other, Yoko knew it was time, (You thought I forgot the rest? No ways! They just always make themselves as background characters as the Wenclair universe starts to appear in front of them, they know less than to interrupt them. They know Wednesday couldn't care less about their so-called commentary or opinions on literally anything.)

Yoko saw her opportunity as she slowly grabbed her phone, flash and sound were both off, the angle was perfect, all she had to do was to hit record. Which she did, she doesn't care if she is shameless or a bit bonkers.

Without a flicker of emotion, Wednesday's gaze brushed the phone, her awareness veiled beneath meticulous stillness. Whatever scheme the pale girl was nurturing, Wednesday couldn't yet decipher, but she intends on figuring it out ... or, in her mind, to introduce just enough chaos to make it interesting.

But for now, it would have to wait as her smittenness with a certain vibrant girl took hold of her time, and her mind was filled with persistent thoughts that were caged in her mind, dangerous to the outside but yet too radiant enough to be set free. Enid was locked in her mind, and there was no key to let her go.

Without warning, Wednesday grabbed Enid's hands, it was firm and intentional, astonishing Enid in the process, as it was usually Enid who always initiated some form of desire for physical contact, it had always been her reaching first, offering touch like a question, and hoping Wednesday might answer. Arms lifted or palms waiting, these moments had been hers to initiate. But not this time. This time, the tables were turned, and Enid did not mind it at all, not one bit; in fact, she reveled in it. Because, for once, it wasn't about waiting. It was confirmation that the desire wasn't one-sided. Then again, this was just hope speaking, hoping that it was a confirmation and not some fluke she saw through rose-tinted glasses.

Wednesday led Enid away from the group, but Yoko already saw what she needed to note down.

Phase one complete

Phase two was simple, OVERANYLYSE the video, Yoko was good at analyzing, and it helped that she was a vampire, as she can pick out the finer details that normies cant, its not her fault God created her that way, she giggled to herself as she the wheels in her head started to turn, Ajax and Eugene just a shared a concerned gaze as they silently agreed to back away as to avoid getting involved with a delusional fan.

In Yoko's head she was drafting up how put what she found in words, however she needed help but the two had already left alone and Bianca will probably say something on the lines of, "If I wanted to waste my time, running on a baseless theory I would go on a males podcast, (a/n you know which type I’m talking about) i am one to win and succeed with facts not with delusion." So she's out of the picture, leaving Yoko one person she could trust, someone who was too in love with her to say no, Divina.

"But babe, this is for the greater good for mankind," Yoko quacked out.

"I don't care if it's for the greater good for me, let alone mankind, I am so not messing with Enid's bodyguard of a friend," Divina grumbled out, feeling tired of Yoko's antics.

"Listen, I get that, but you're the only one-"

"Only one because everyone is smart enough to not be this ridiculous, come on, blinking, has your no blood diet gotten to your head?" Divina interrupted

"Please, Divina, one time, please! I'll do anything in return, you're the only one I have."

Divina pondered for a moment and cautiously asked, "Anything?....."

"Anything, and if I go back on my word, I promise you on my coffin right here you can drive a stake in my heart."

"Jeez, I'm not like Wednesday, we don't have to go so far, but fine, however, you better do as I say when it is required of you."

"Yes, ma'am." Yoko then saluted Divina in agreement.

Yoko started explaining to Divina her plans, "Ok, where to start, so we all know that Addams is batshit crazy but because of her lack of expressing human emotions. She doesn't feel like the rest of us. If she does, it's like watching static dance across an old TV there, but warped like im still not too sure if she even has the capabilities of doing so but in my research, i found her to be showing emotions in a very vague and indifferent ways, like romantic but if you were lovers in a slasher film who survive each other long enough to fall in love. Call it emotional taxidermy... feelings, preserved. Love, dissected. Still very much alive, just... differently."

Divina looked intrigued at Yoko, "Wow, and they say love is dead."

"I mean, for Wednesday, love is probably dead, but that's a good thing.....I think," She whispered the last part to herself.

"Ok, so we got that out of the way, what does this have to do with blinking?" Divina said while trying not to sigh at the word blinking.

"So we all know Wednesday does not blink right, unless sleeping or like twice a week, whatever, I don't care, but you get my point?"

"Yes, we all know that unfortunately... too many staring contests lost."

Yoko continued to explain, " Ok, in Ajax's words, 'vibe with me', entertain my words and thoughts, Wednesday doesn't blink because she feels the need to see everything like she doesn't trust anyone? Like blinking may make her miss a betrayal, or like some bizarre way of showing she is emotionless, but yet during the Hyde incident, she does the impossible and we all saw that girl fully close her eyes while also hugging, emphasis on hugging another human, another human, which is ENID!"

Divina started to wonder if she was the dumb one, like you know how people say, 'Your partner is a reflection of who you are.' Because if she pulled a girlfriend like Yoko, a passionate, intense, borderline terrifying gf(Not Wednesday terrifying tho), what did that say about her? Anyways ,she knew Yoko made a good point. This is Wednesday we are talking about, a girl who would flay you alive if your split ends grazed her hoodie. Blinking, trusting, hugging? That wasn't in her default settings. Except... It happened. And Enid was the anomaly that made it possible. But it was still far-fetched even for her. Even if she tried to justify it, she couldn't; she seriously thought Yoko lost the point.

"How about this, my dear intellectual babe of a girlfriend, as interesting as your research is, why don't we scra- I mean, we can write down a draft of this right? And maybe just maybe not tell anyone about this, let's keep this between us, hmm?" Divina said as she held Yoko's hand, as she gently kissed her cheek. Looking at her sweetly, hoping her persuasion is working because she doesn't want to see Yoko be seen as a crazy wild vampire.

"I guess you're right, this was crazier than I thought, I think imma stop that no blood diet and focus on my other points, but I'm keeping this in my back pocket, 'Desperate times call for Desperate measures'"

Divina was glad her gf listened to her, otherwise she would've really gone mad alongside Yoko. But she knew she couldn't stop the girl even if she could.

Report:

Mission one failed, but I am on to you, Addams. You better count your days, as I will make Wenclair happen, whether by fire or knife

 Yoko’s theories

1. Blinking? (ridiculous, I know, but idc) Crazy idea, but keeping it for a just in case.

2. Wednesday only allows Enid for hugs and physical touch

3 . Wednesday smiles? at Enid(need to see if that girl actually even smiles)

4. is a hypocrite( like, tf you mean I can't borrow your pen but Enid is allowed to borrow your prized possessions, I smell favoritism).

5. to be continued

Next mission coming soon
