Chapter Text

“See you tomorrow, ____.”

That was the last thing Paige remembered before blacking out……wait, she could barely remember anything.……

Paige immediately jolted up and looked around, confusion filled her as she saw that she was in a classroom, and for some odd reason, it had no windows.

She went to leave the room but felt herself stop when she noticed someone sound asleep on top of two desks.

Looking closer, Paige could make out that they had long pink hair, a headband/visor, and wore a business-like outfit.

“E-exscues me miss?” Paige said, trying to wake them up, and they did.

They immediately jolted up “W-where am I!, Who are you?!?!?!” they shouted in confusion.

“My name's Paige and I’m just as confused as you, I just woke up here too,” She informed them, and they sighed in relief, but were still a little cautious around her.

“My name is Susanne Haltmann, but you can just call me Susie, Let's go and try to look for an exit,” Susie said.

Paige nodded, and they both walked out of the classroom into a hallway.

“Hey, I think I see an exit.” Paige pointed toward a glass door that revealed the outside, and they both ran toward it and pushed it open.

They did manage to get out, but soon realized they were on an island.

Sure, it was big, but still.

“M-maybe we could just s-swim,” Paige stuttered, but Susie stopped her.

“Let me check something.”

She then grabbed a random rock and threw it into the water.

“BOOM” Water erupted from the explosion and got on Paige a little.

“W-what the hell is going on?!” Paige asked out loud, and Susie looked at her calmly.

“We can't be the only ones here, Someone kidnapped us and made sure any possible escape methods are useless, Just follow me,” Susie stated and started to walk off somewhere, and Paige quickly started following her.

Soon, they found a bar on the beach and thought nothing of it, well, until they heard someone rummaging through glass bottles.

Both Susie and Paige cautiously walked up to it, and Susie called out, “Who’s there?!”.

a guy with spiky brown hair and……. pitch-black eyes?, Came out from the back of it, drinking out of a bottle of Smirnoff, “Didn’t expect anyone else to be here,” He replied and took another drink right out of the bottle.

“Hi, I’m Paige and this is Susie, what's your name?” Paige greeted happily, and the guy stared at her before replying, “It's Tom.”

“Nice to meet you, Tom, We’re looking for others, Do you wanna come?” Paige asked, and Tom said, “Yeah sure,” before grabbing another bottle of Smirnoff and hopping over the bar's table.

They started to walk again, and this time they ended up at the entrance to a gym.

“Maybe there are more people in here?” Paige suggested, and Susie opened the doors, to their luck, there were five others in there.

A tall-looking woman with long platinum blond hair and a cyan-colored dress.

A very scared-looking guy with overalls and a green hat with the letter L on it.

A pink-haired child who looked like they were around eight years old, wearing a pink sweater with stars on it.

A guy with black hair with red streaks in it, who looked like he was annoyed as hell.

Lastly, there was an odd-looking, shortish guy with slicked-back black hair; Paige couldn’t tell if it was hair gel, grease, or a combination of both.

She didn’t want to know, and he also had shades on, one lens being pink and the other yellow.

“Could you guys go talk to them while I go and find others?” Susie asked, and Paige nodded while Tom grumbled, “Yes”, “Thanks,” she said before leaving.

“Man, I do not want to talk to that weird-looking guy, He looks like he lives in a garbage can,” Tom said.

“Which guy? Paige asked, and Tom pointed to the same guy that she also thought was weird-looking.

“I’ll go talk to him if you want,” Paige suggested but secretly hoped Tom would.

“Thanks, I’ll go talk to the scared-ass-looking guy,” Tom said before walking off.

Paige sighed, then started walking towards him, “Uhm, hey, my name's Paige.” He slowly turned towards Paige, then greeted her “GREETINGS [[Page]], I’m SPAMTON G. SPAMTON, [[Number 1 Rated Salesman1997]]”.

“I’m sorry, what?” Paige asked him in confusion, but she was interrupted by the annoyed-looking guy she had seen earlier.

“Don't even try talking to that buffoon, everything he says is absolute garbage.” he broke in.

“Who are you?” Paige questioned him and replied, “Shadow,” before walking over to one of the corners to stand by himself.

Paige quickly waved off Spamton and went over to the pink-haired child.

“Hello little one,” Paige greeted them, and they happily started spurring out “Poyo” multiple times.

Having no idea what poyo meant, Paige just greeted the child, “What's your name?” and the child smiled brightly, “Kirby.”

Paige smiled, “Kirby, that's a cute name, my name is Paige.” Kirby immediately started to try and say her name.

“Paii….Paiiggg…..Paige!Paige!Paige!” Kirby repeated excitedly after managing to say her name right.

“Come on Kirby, let's go talk to the pretty girl over there,” Paige said, and alongside Kirby, both walked over to the tall woman.

“Excuse me miss” the woman looked over at Paige with a warm smile “Yes?”, Paige then asked her “What's your name?”, I’m Paige and this is Kirby” Paige gestured towards Kirby and Kirby responded with a loud “Poyo!”.

“I’m Rosalina” Rosalina responded, after she responded, Tom walked over to them to tell Paige about the Green hat guy.

“I see you talked to Luigi,” Rosalina said and Tom nodded then froze.

“Wait how do you know that?” he questioned her in suspension.

“We’re from the same universe and we worked together before” Rosalina answered and Tom nodded.

After they both finished, the entrance opened and Susie walked in with six others.

First was a very tall-looking skinny guy, he looked kinda creepy.

“That guy looks like a child molester” Tom observed and both Paige and Rosalina glared at him, “Tom, that's rude” Paige responded.

The second was a young-looking girl with platinum blonde hair tied up in a ponytail and she was wearing a white-themed dress.

The third was a guy with a lemon for a head, he immediately just walked up to where she and the other 3 were, “I’m Topper, you guys seem like the most normal people here, so I'm gonna stick with you” Topper said and went to stand next to Paige and Tom.

“Pfft, have you seen that guy over there?” Tom asked and Topper shook his head, Tom pointed towards Spamton.

“I just got a heap of laughs from this, he looks like he lives in a freaking dumpster,” Topper remarked and Tom agreed “That's what I said”.

The fourth person was another girl with purple hair and she was wearing a purple tailcoat and white pants alongside pink sneakers, she immediately just walked up to shadow which made Paige suspect that they probably knew each other.

The fifth person was a guy with blue skin and white hair and he was wearing a royal blue suit with epaulets.

He started making his way towards them making Tom grumble, “Oh you gotta be kidding me”.

“It is I, Rouxls Kaard! The Duke of Puzzles in The flesh” Rouxls boomed.

“Damn you are tall as hell” Topper noted then looked at Rosalina “You too”.

"Anyone showeth thou're hands if thou're interested in a relationship," Rouxls said out loud, which caught them all off guard, then got a 10-minute glare from both Tom and Topper.

“.......”

“Seriously?.... that's the first thing you’re going to ask?,....absolutely fucking not” Tom responded and Paige and Rosalina nodded in reply while Topper responded by saying “Thanks for the offer, but I’m not into cucking.”

“I shalt ask The others, and then I shall come back to see if thoust hath changed thou're minds,” Rouxls declared, then went towards the other side of the gym.

“I really hope we’re not stuck with a bunch of weirdos” Tom sighed.

The sixth person was a short woman with yellow hair tied into a bun, she was wearing a white collared shirt underneath a green vest, a blue mini-skirt, and brown shoes.

“At least she looks normal,” Topper remarked and Tom nodded in reply.

“I’m going to sit on the bleachers until we know everyone is here” Paige informed the others before going to the top of the bleachers and just sitting down.

“Poyo!” Kirby blurted out as they followed her and sat down next to her.

“Oh hey Kirby” Paige replied, “I’m waiting for the rest to get here if there is any left” She added then just zoned out for a while.

“Slam”

Paige immediately went back to reality after hearing the heavy entrance door slam, then noticed that Tom and Topper were sitting next to her.

“When did you guys get up here?” She asked in confusion, “You were in a much better place than here is all I can tell you” Tom replied.

“Looks like there are six others, hope they're the last” Topper observed then the three of them started to look at the last six.

“NO!” Tom yelled out in anger, Paige and Topper looked at him in confusion “What?”, Tom pointed towards a guy in a red hoodie with a hairstyle making his hair shaped a little like horns.

“What's wrong with him?” Paige asked in confusion.

“That's Tord, he’s damn communist and I hate him” Tom replied in anger.

“Let's just ignore Tord and look at the others,” Paige suggested.

Tom sighed and nodded, but he was clenching his fists.

“Let's just get this over with,” Topper said before adding

“I see a guy….with a CRT TV for a head

a middle-aged looking man

a weirdo in a hazmat suit-

“I think he’s an exterminator but I could be wrong.” Paige interrupted him.

“Ok, I don't care, let me continue

a fantasy princess and a

somebody in a mecha suit,” Topper finished, then stood up.

“I’m going to go outside and find another escape route,” He informed the others, then added, “Wanna come?” Paige nodded, while Tom decided to stay.

“Alright, let's go,” Topper said, then started walking down the bleachers with Paige and Kirby.

Paige saw Susie standing by the door, “Hey Susie” Paige greeted her with a smile.

Topper didn’t even bother waiting and went to open the door, but it wouldn't budge.

“Did you lock the door?” Topper asked Susie, and she shook her head, “Uhm, no, it should be unlocked”.

Topper tried again, and it still didn’t budge.

“Well, it's lock-!” The lights then abruptly turned off, leaving the only light being the glow coming from Toppers' hair and the soft glow from the TV guy's screen.

After a couple of seconds had passed, the lights on the stage at the very back of the gym turned on.

Everyone turned their heads toward the stage in confusion.

All of a sudden two robotic bears spouted from somewhere beneath the stage.

The moon-based one spoke first, “I’m Monoluna” and the Spade-themed one didn’t speak so Monoluna just said their name for them

“And this is Monospade they are just shy”......”, Anyways, our dad will be here soon” Monoluna added.

“Can we leave now?” Topper asked not wanting the be stuck in whatever this place is.

“You can't leave,” Monoluna replied.

“Why is that exactly?” Susie spoke up.

“Because you're going to play a—” Before Monoluna could answer Susie’s question, Monospade interrupted her and ominously hinted.

“You’ll see in a little bit, it's a surprise.”

“That does not sound good” Tom grumbled, After a couple more seconds had passed, another Robotic bear shot from it.

This one had one side white and the other black and it had an ominous red eye on the black side of it.

“Who the hell are you?!” Tord, Topper, Shadow, and Tom all shouted out at the same time in confusion, “The one, the only, Monkuma! Nice to meet’cha,” Monokuma greeted the confused students.

Both Monoluna and Monospade stared in glee, “Yay, our father is here!” Monoluna shouted with glee.

“Normally, I’d be mad at you guys for brainwashing them but some of them already have tragic backstories.” He whispered the last part so only Monoluna and Monospade could hear it, “But you guys are too adorable to be mad at.”

“Listen here you build-a-bear reject! Susie yelled at Monokuma, making him glare at her.

“First of all, I’m no Build-a-Bear or a Teddy bear, and show some respect 'cause I’m your headmaster for the Ultimate Deluxe Vacation for Ultimates.”

“Vacation?” Paige asked in confusion, to which Monokuma happily answered her question, “You lucky 20 were chosen to spend the rest of your lives here, away from the horrible despair-induced world, and live the rest of your lives here…..Forever”.

Tom Shrugged

“You know that doesn’t sound too bad”.

Monokuma let out a laugh. “But that would be boring, I want you guys to participate in a Killing game.”

“A fucking what?!” Topper shouted in confusion and anger, he just wanted to go and see his daughter, Clover, he then added, “Well, we sure as hell won't play”.

Monokuma stared him down, “You don't have a choice, there's no escape, there's no boats or planes, in fact, if you swim out of bounds you’ll just blow up”.

Monokuma froze “I almost forgot, if you break any rules, the exiles will exterminate you,” Monokuma added before freezing.

“Oh, I forgot, you all have monopads, which some of you already noticed, but click on the rules and it’ll show you them.”

Paige turned on her monopod, she then clicked on the rules, and read them.

Rule 1- Students must live on the islands for the rest of their foreseeable future

Rule 2- Once a murder takes place, all remaining students must participate in a class trial.

Rule 3-If the blackened is exposed, then they alone will be executed

Rule 4-If the blackened is not exposed, then all other remaining students will be executed while the blackened survives and lives

Rule 5-The killing game will continue until only 4-5 people remain

Rule 6- Nighttime is between 10 am to 8 pm. Nothing on Island Two will be open, the bar, Gym, and auditorium will be closed then, but the beach is always open

Rule 7- Violence towards Monokuma is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate execution/death. Monokuma will never directly commit a murder.

Rule 8- Do not damage your Monopad.

Rule 9- The body discovery will play when 3 or more students find a dead body

Rule 10- You are free to explore the campus with minimal restrictions on your free time

Rule 11- Any student who violates these rules will be exterminated

Future rules may be added to the Headmaster's convenience

Paige stared in disbelief.

“Class trail?”

both Monoluna and Monospade then jumped in at her question, “Ah, yes, the class trails.” Monoluna said, “It's when one of you ultimate nobodies kills someone, you all face off in a class trial, and if you vote correctly, then you guys live, well, besides the blackened, they’ll receive punishment, “But if you vote incorrectly, then all you guys besides the blackened die.” “What's the-a-punishment?!” Luigi asked, shaking. “Simple, it's an execution, " Monokuma replied, which made him start freaking out. Looking closer, Paige found all the student cards and decided to quickly look at them, so she knew the rest of the other's names.

Chapter Text

Paige looked at hers before quickly moving to another.

"Oh, hey, it's Luigi," Paige smiled.

"She's cute"

"I met him earlier"

"She looks cool"

"Hey, it's Kirby, their becoming one of my closest friends."

"Mom told me to never judge a book by its cover, but this guy looks really unsettling."

"He looks cool, I think"

"It's Susie, she's kinda cute......"

"I think I owe Dexter an apology".

"She looks so cool, I wanna be her friend"

"She's also very pretty"

"Oh, it's that guy from earlier."

"It's the guy Tom doesn't like....I wonder why?"

"Oh its Rosalina, she's really cool and pretty"

"Its Tom, I'm pretty sure we're friends"

"Its Topper, he's really funny, I think we're friends but I'm not sure"

"He talks really weird, he's kinda weird looking, but like in real estate agent way"

"They look so cool"

😳 "He looks really cool......I hope we become friends"

After looking through all the student cards. Paige brought her attention back to where Monoluna, Monospade, and Monokuma were.

“I’ll give you guys a couple of days before the first motive,” Monokuma finished, the lights then turned back on, and all three of the kumas were gone.

“W-what did he mean by m-motive?” Lillie choked out in fear and confusion.

“Don't panic, we’ll find a way out,” Susie comforted her. 

“Hey, the door is unlocked!” Topper called out to everyone. 

Quickly, half the people inside, including Paige, evacuated outside. 

Paige decided to look at the time on her Monopad and saw that it was 12:43.

“Might as well enjoy myself before anything else bad happens,” Paige mumbled to herself before walking down to the beach.

When she got down to the beach, she sat down and listened to the soothing sound of the crashing waves.

“Poyo!” Paige sighed when she heard Kirby say that with glee and sat down next to her.

“Do you like the sea, Kirby?” Paige asked them, and they nodded in reply.

Paige smiled, and they watched the ocean together.

{~Time skip~}

“E-e-excuse me?” Paige jolted awake to someone tapping on her shoulder and talking to her.

Paige looked at them closely and saw that they were Luigi.

“I was checking up on you, and I found you two passed out here, so I got a little worried,” Luigi explained.

“Oh, thank you,” Paige thanked him, then added, “What time is it?”. “It's 11:52 at night,” He answered in reply. Paige froze.

 “Dang, well, I’m going to my dorm,” Paige informed Luigi.

Luigi nodded.

 “Wait, what about them?” he pointed toward a passed-out Kirby. 

“I'll take them with me,” Paige said before gently picking up Kirby and carefully carrying them to her dorm.

Paige gently tucked Kirby into her bed (as in Paige's bed).

“Well, I’m sleeping on the couch,” She whispered, turned off the lights, and triple-checked the locks to all the windows and front door before finally heading to bed, or well couch.
