Chapter Text

"OK I'm calling in the favour". Harry looked at Draco, Draco had lent Harry a pot of ink, 9 years ago. Harry had said 'thanks I owe you one'. Draco carried on "I need you to look after my son Scorpius, I'll drop him off tomorrow". Harry blinked he wasn't aware that Draco had a son. Draco looked completely undeterred "my parents aren't available, I've told score about you, champion of the wizarding world. He says you sound fun. More fun than the GP'S. That's what he calls my parents, the grandparents, GP'S".

It was the next day that Draco brought his son to Harry's. He was 6, and an absolute delight. Draco hugged his son who excitedly asked "is Harry going to do fun Muggle stuff with me?" Draco grinned "he sure is". Draco turned to Harry "he's fascinated with muggles".

Scorpius grinned "so what's a blanket fort, and can we do that?" Soon the whole house was a giant blanket fort. The only thing Harry had used magic for was to get more furniture, blankets, and more pegs. They'd had lunch in the fort, and were now watching a film with popcorn and drinks, and had a nap.

Draco had arrived using the Floo Network. He looked over the vast array of blankets, that were like a maze going out of the door. Crouching down he made his way through the maze of blankets. He followed the sound of music that he could hear. On a mass of pillows was Scorpius fast asleep. He was covered by a blanket. He looked so peaceful.

It was amazing how big the, Draco assumed that this was a blanket fort, Scorpius had mentioned the term, but he hadn't been sure what it was. The maze of blankets stopped and Draco entered the kitchen. By the sink stood Harry. Draco coughed, and Harry turned round grinning. "Oh hi Draco, would you like a drink?" Harry proffered a bottle of vimto."

As they sat at the kitchen table. Harry spoke "I didn't know you had a son. Where's his?" He didn't finish before Draco answered "she was called Astoria. I loved her. She was always very frail, but pregnancy was particularly difficult. She died when Scorpius was 4. He has very few memories of her". Draco seemed to be thinking carefully before he spoke "I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not."

Draco picked up his cup "it's warm." Harry nodded. Suddenly a voice came from the hallway "is it vimto time?" Scorpius padded into the kitchen. His hair was stuck up in odd angles. Harry passed a mug over. His little face broke into a huge smile seeing his Dad. There was excited chatter about the blanket fort, and a full tour.

Scorpius happily ate some biscuits "next time Harry's going to teach me how to play the bagpipes the Muggle way, we saw a video of someone playing the bagpipes". Harry looked at Draco then at the young boy, who grinned "I mean obviously I hadn't mentioned this to Harry, but i figured it would be fine, also dad, we need to get some bagpipes". Harry smiled "OK, bagpipes, I'll look for some instructional videos. I think it's quite a difficult instrument to play, but I'm up for it".

Draco and Scorpius left. Harry looked round the room. He'd always wanted to make a blanket fort, and now he had. Maybe if this was a regular thing. He'd dreamed about doing lot of normal kids stuff growing up, the list was endless.
