Chapter Text

Mark Grayson was not having a great day, in the sense a villain who he thought wasn’t a villain has come to mess up his life along with his new brother and mothers. He was holding his family hostage making Mark pay for something, Mark isn’t entirely sure what yet though. To make matters worse as well, Angstrom Levi would open dimensions with different time speeds just to confuse him and make him confused about this fight. So right when the portal opened once more, Mark was ready to hit Angstrom, until he flung his mom in the flight path.

Mark narrowedly misses hitting his mother, before being tossed into yet another dimension, but this one felt stranger then the rest, but he couldn’t place it until his back hit something hard.

Ugh, when will this cat and mouse fight end?! I rub my back a bit and try to take in my surroundings, I then notice how high up I am. How bright everything is as well, almost like a children’s show. I rub my eyes a bit until a voice starts to complain, “Hawkmoth!! This guy is in the way of my fun!!”

Hawkmoth?

I look up and see a little girl holding a doll. She looked insane looking, bright blues and purples, with black accents. I could only stare at her before a yo-yo makes the scene grabbing the kids wand. “NO FAIR! THAT UGLY DISTRACTED ME!”

Ugly?! Me?!

I put a hand on my chest offended that this kid called me ugly. But then she gets a purple like ooze around her, turning back into a little kid. She starts crying for her mommy, that’s when a ladybug figure showed up. “Oh it’s okay Manon! We’ll get you to mommy okay!”

“Okay Ladybug!”

This Ladybug figure looks at me and says out loud, “Chaton-“

“On it my lady!”

The second voice came from behind me, I quickly turned around and see a cat boy. “So, what’s your deal, swimsuit boy?”

I feel the offense come back, “I could ask the same with the whole leather suit get up cat boy!”

The cat puts a hand on his chest and does a playful scoff, “I’ll let you know that this is top of the line thank you very much swimsuit boy!”

I take in my surroundings one more time, noticing that we are at the base of the Eiffel Tower. “But for real swimsuit boy-“

“My names Invincible-“

He chokes on a laugh and then starts outwardly laughing at me, “what kinda person names themselves ‘Invincible??!!’”

“Better then Chaton-“

“I’ll let you know my name is Chat Noir- thank you very much!”

We have a stare down, “So where did you come from?”

“My living room? I was fighting this guy who can open portals and he shot me here.”

The cat boy nods and starts to walk around me, “that sucks, are you from New York? With the team there?”

I look at him confused, “Sorry I should elaborate a bit more. I am from another dimension-“

“Oh cool! Well shoot, that might mean a Hawkmoth from another reality got you. Shoot. Oh well, if my lady is great in this universe she’s great in all-“

“About that. I don’t think you guys exist in my universe.”

“Man, that's a bummer. Guess not every universe can handle my paw-someness.”

I rub my eyes and then a voice cuts in, “Chaton!”

The cat boy perks up instantly, “Meow-Lady!”

He rushes over to the polka dot lady who keeps a close eye on me. They both walk over while Chat Noir explains everything I told him. She sighs and I hear some beeping coming from the cat boy. “Thanks Kitty, meet me here in six okay?”

He salutes and rushes off. I watch him bounce away on a staff and when I go to look for the polka dot women she is right in my face. “Another world huh?”

I nod, feeling nervous all of a sudden. “I guess I’ll believe it, you haven’t asked for miraculous or gotten a butterfly mask…”

She walks around me and my nerves spike again. Something about her is much more intimidating than the cat. She suddenly grabs me and we go flying through the air.

I start to scream when we land near the middle. She lets go and walks over to a red and black item. “What the fuck-“

She gasps when I say a bad word and I quickly correct my language, “sorry, the hell was that?!”

“I needed to grab my lucky charm from the akuma battle.”

I am still so confused but she picks up a doll that looks like me covered with ladybug patterns. “I guess my lucky charm was right once more-“

“Your what-“

She suddenly throws the doll in the air and calmly says, “miraculous ladybug!”

I watch as the doll turns into millions of ladybugs and fix any damage around us. Some even attacked me, and when they were done I noticed that my busted lip was healed. She smiles as the last one goes into her yo-yo.

She turns to me and chuckles, “you must really not be from around here with that expression on your face!”

She flicks her yo-yo like a phone and starts typing. “What was that?!”

She doesn’t even flinch at my question, still typing on her phone as she responds. “That was my cure for after battles. It fixes any damage during the battle, restoring it to its prime state.”

I look at her and she closes her phone and that’s when I hear steps land behind me. It was the cat boy again. He starts to circle me and then says to the big lady, “He does look like an Olympic swimmer right?”

She nods and comments on how my outfit is doing nothing for my hair. I get offended once more until the ladybug woman then comments, “Definitely good handiwork went into it though. No seams visible and you can tell the designer put their soul into this costume.”

Awe, I lower my guard once more feeling appreciative for Arte and his work. “Alright ‘Invincible’ let’s try to get you home yeah? Do you have any powers that could help or…?”

I look at the women and shake my head, “I don’t have any powers that would help with this situation… miss?”

“Ladybug, call me Ladybug.”

“Ladybug, nothing I have will help.”

She sighs and comments, “alright, time to find someone to weld the rooster-“

“Excuse me?”

Chat Noir quickly appears next to me, “she’s talking about jewelry that gives us our powers. She has the ladybug miraculous which brings luck and tools for battles along with fixing the damage afterwards.-“

I look at him with shock, “you wear pieces of jewelry that hold this power?”

He nods, “yeah! My power is the power of destruction!”

I feel my eyes widen as the Ladybug girl sticks her hand in her yo-yo once more.

“She is looking for the rooster miraculous right now. It has the power to give you any power as long as it isn’t the miraculous-“

“You sure know a lot about these powers, must’ve been a hero for awhile-“

“Nah, I’ve only been Chat Noir for five months. Same with My Lady over there.”

“Woah, okay.”

They seem a lot more together than I was during my first few months. Ladybug was still digging around her yo-yo so I decided to look around their Paris with my eyes. I notice how they are on lots of billboards promoting safety and how the other half of billboards have a boy modeling. Speaking of which, that boy looks a lot like Chat Noir. I call him over and ask, “why are you modeling-?”

He slaps a hand over my mouth, “that isn’t me-“

I easily pry his hand off my mouth and point at the ad again, “that is clearly you-“

He goes pale, “you’re an alien.”

Huh? How the fuck did he? “How did you-?”

He quickly leads me farther away from the bug, he looks over his shoulder seeing Ladybug still absorbed in her yo-yo. He turns to me quickly.

“Because only non-humans aren’t fooled by the magic protecting our identities.”

Oh. Crap.

“I am so sorry that I-“

“It’s fine, just don’t say anything about that billboard being me because Ladybug can’t know-“

“Why not? Aren’t you guys partners?”

He sighs and starts to explain how because of their situation with the emotional terrorist and the terrorist powers. If one of them is compromised they don’t want the other to be, so they could have a winning chance against this Hawkmoth guy. Wait, that just brings more questions now.

“Then how can you fully trust the other then? You can’t know any private stuff about them to form that connection so how do you both-?”

“We just do. We don’t need to know who the other is or the other person's life to trust the other person. All I know is my lady would kill for me and I for her.”

How?? I could barely trust Eve with a lot and I know lots about her, so how do these teens trust each other that much?? “Aren’t you guys like twelve-?”

“I’m almost fifteen, thank you very much.”

“Omg, that is so much worse.”

“You know what Mr. Imma judge these two for trying their best! You look stupid!”

Chat Noir turns away and I can see I accidentally struck a nerve. I apologize behind him and notice Ladybug placing a strange ring on her finger. “Change of plans Chaton, you are gonna wear the snake and I rooster.”

Chapter Text

“Any reason why my lady?”

“In case this goes wrong you need to rewind time and let me know. I can’t trust anyone else with the mission right now considering our current situation.”

He nods and I watch him put on a bracelet and say, “Sass, Plagg unify!”

His hair gets blue accents and his leather gets scale accents along his suit. The blue scales shimmering in the sun. I look and see how his eyes have a greener look as well, how his mask is more tilted and scaling detail on the edge. “That is the coolest thing ever!”

He starts to flex and show off and then Ladybug calls hers, “Tikki! Orikko! Unify!”

I watch as her hair gets orange feather-like highlights, feathers like bows in her hair replacing the red from earlier. Her mask gets a slight change with a beak, orange and red merging together in the suit. I didn’t know how she made it work but somehow she looked fine. Chat Noir inspects her new outfit, “purr-fect my lady! Love to see how they merge with you!”

I watch her face get a little red, “you flatterer, you don’t have to do this every time I merge a miraculous.”

I watch the two of them interact how comfortable they were with each other. Sure there was some ‘romantic’ tension from Chat Noir towards Ladybug, but they both seemed like great friends. I watch them interact a bit more, the two of them reminding me of William and I when we were young. Ladybug then calls out, “alrighty, let’s get going okay?”

I nod and head over to them. She holds out a feather like pen and draws a circle in the air. Chat then says, “yo-yo!”

She does immediately, “invincible save that lady!”

Mom! I rush in and notice how Angstrom is tied up with the yo-yo. I rush to mom and then hear Angstrom shout in pain. I turn around and notice that Chat Noir hit him with his batton. The green circle around my mom disappearing. I quickly fly her outside and call Cecil, “get here now!”

I throw the phone at mom and head back in to deal with Angstrom. Only to see the portal closed and Ladybug in her normal outfit feeding the chicken while Chat Noir keeps him in place. I quickly punch Angstrom and Chat gasps. I go wild until Ladybug's voice cuts though the air like a knife, “STOP!”

I turn around and notice how terrified the both of them look. I feel my chest tighten looking at them. Ladybug retransforms and I hear her mumble something before looking at Angstrom. Angstrom then starts to yell, “YOU ROPED A CHILD INTO THIS!? INVINCIBLE YOU MONSTER! YOU HORRIBLE-“

I was about to punch him again when Ladybug then said, “give him to me.”

We both look at her in shock. She turns towards Chat who nods approvingly. She deunifies and reunifies once again. “I took away that stupid power of yours-“

“You bitch! You don’t know what he’s done-!”

Chat Noir looks like he is going to kill Levi and honestly me too. No one gets to call a nice respectable young lady a bitch. I was going to step in but she speaks up, and she writes something on his forehead. I watch him revert back to that man who called out to save me before being deformed by the explosion. He looks kind and confused. His head is still there but he looks around terrified. “What did I do?! I didn’t want to make my empire in bloodshed!”

Ladybug hugs him and writes something again. “Your powers are yours again. You weren’t in the right mind but I wanted to make sure you were safe.”

He hugs her and she smiles hugging him back. I just look at the scene in shock. Chat Noir heads over to me and says, “sixty-seven.”

“Sixty-seven?”

“We failed sixty-seven times, Invincible.”

What.

“He either was killed by you or killed others. Ladybug gets instant transfers from my updated plans in her earrings. We wanted to help and keep everyone safe and we did.”

“But you had to see yourself fail-“

“Yeah, but that is just the price of being a hero, Mark.”

“How did you?”

“Your mom shouted it at twenty five.”

I watch as Ladybug throws her feather pencil and shouts, “Miraculous Ladybug!”

I watch as Angstrom waves goodbye and fades away with the bugs. How the house starts to repair itself. I rush outside and watch it surround my mom, Cecil standing next to her looking shocked as her bones snapped back into place. Making it seem that it was never broken. Ladybug heads out with Chat Noir, they look at me and my mom. Ladybug helps the last ladybug back into her yo-yo as it shuts.

“I’m sorry there was no vengeance Mark. What he did to you and your family was awful and I’m sorry that he couldn’t even apologize before I called the cure-“

I hug the small teen tight, “thank you. Thank you for everything.”

She hugs back and Cecil then asks, “what the fuck was that?!”

Chat Noir quickly speaks up, placing his hands over Oliver’s ears, “now put some sugar over that salty language! There is a child present!”

I hear mom snort and Ladybug calmly walks over to him. “Hello, my name is Ladybug and this is my partner Chat Noir-“

He looks at me and Ladybugs head snaps to look at me upset that Cecil just brushed her off. “Angstrom sent me to a different reality where these two reside. They were more than willing to help me and now they are here.”

He nods, “that was an interesting power you have there Ladybug-“

“I couldn’t have solved this issue without my Chat Noir.”

She is standoffish with him so, I grab Chat Noir who is playing with Oliver and place him next to her. Cecil looks at the both of them, “Are you going to be staying long?”

“We can, only if Mark wants us too.”

They cling onto me, “I think Cecil just has a few questions if you both don’t mind.”

They let go of me just a bit, “Great. Two more anomalies to chart.”

Cecil turns around and they start to make faces at him. I clear my throat and they both stop but not before letting out an annoyed huff. They both reluctantly follow Cecil away from me.

Chapter Text

I follow behind the strange old man, upset that he is treating us like a threat still. He teleports us to his base of operations and I quickly file the snake and rooster away. Not wanting him to take them in the worst case scenario.

We are walking though white halls, people in lab coats staring at Chat Noir and I. We make faces back and they look at us like we are childish and I mean we kinda are being childish, but they started it!

We finally sat down at a desk with two chairs. A man standing next to the old guy. I put my feet on the desk trying to show my disrespect towards the old guy. Chat Noir sitting improperly in his as well. Legs spread and half way down the chair. The old man sighs, “okay, I see that you aren’t happy with me and that you don’t like me.”

I nod and Chat Noir verbally agrees. He rubs his trembles and mumbles something. Chat's ears go into airplane mode and gets a sour look on his face. I follow his lead. The two of them look at the grumpy duo in front of them and the other man who looks nicer asks, “Why did you help Invincible?”

“Because he was lost and beat up. We couldn’t just let him wander around. Plus he helped us with our villain of the day.”

“Your villain of the day?"

“Not that it would interest you old fart but we have an emotional terrorist who turns people who are upset into super villains and they try to kill us.”

He seems to get upset with us blatantly disrespecting him. “And how did you get Invincible here?”

“We used magical jewelry-“

“Harhar-“ the old guy slams his hands on the table, “you two stop bull shitting me before I lock you both up for disrespect!”

I raise a brow at him and scoff. I straighten up a bit and decide to use my confidence that would be usually reserved for putting Chloe in her place, “you realize we haven't bullshitted you the hour you’ve had us?”

He looks shocked and Chat cuts in, “Sure we have been rude as hell but you were rude first.”

I nod and the other decides to speak, “Listen, I'm sorry if Cecil offended you in any way. It’s just you both came out of nowhere, took down a high level threat, calmed down Invincible and fixed all the damage that happened in that area. We are just trying to figure out what happened.”

I smile at the glasses man, “I like you.”

Cecil scowls deeper but I start to ignore him and start out the tales of Chat Noir and I. At the end I go into my yo-yo and pull out a dvd for the movie that was produced. “If you have any other questions, watch this.”

“Why do you have a movie? About yourself?”

“Listen I have friends who don’t know I am a super hero and they love this movie!”

“Also! It was a blockbuster thank you very much!” Chat Noir cuts in with.

“Exactly, they had the famous Adrien Agreste voice in it along with Kagami Tsuguri the famous fencer!”

Chat and I start talking about animation and voice acting. Finally Cecil cuts in once more, “okay I get it! Just shut up oh my god. This is why I didn’t have kids.”

Chat and I slump back down in our chairs again. Proud that we got him annoyed, suddenly he gets a call. We can only hear one side but he shoots up and rushes out. We are left with the friendly one, so we quickly straighten up and put on our nice faces. “You two are weird, you know that right?”

We both nod.

He lets out a sigh and explains if we would be willing to help out in the future if they are in a life or death scenario. I nod and create a small charm for him, chat also grabs the charm and we both think about letting the charm be a signal to come here.

We look at the charm and I hand it to the man. “When this charm is crushed we will get pinged in our miraculous and rush over.”

He gives a small smile and puts the charm on the desk for now. “Thank you. Now do you both want anything as a thanks for helping today?”

Chat speaks up, “yeah actually, you all seem to be really good at knowing everything is happening. Can we get your help to track down our terrorist?”

The man nods and says he can come and do a stake out. We both crack out a smile and the old guy- sorry, Cecil comes back and notices the charm on the desk. The man explains what it is, “Thanks for getting the information Donald-“

“Donald…”

They look at the both of us as we say Donald’s name. “Please get them out of here.”

“Yes sir.”

I was standing around the GDA waiting for Cecil to bring Ladybug and Chat Noir out. Until he sends a message that he is going to get them acquainted with the Guardians of the Globe and send them off there. So I rush over to the base, seeing Rex first. “Hey! What are you doing here Mark? Coming for a good old visit huh? Wanna beer?”

I was going to decline when Cecil and the miraculous duo showed up in a blinding blue light. Rex looks at them and says, “who the fuck are these kids?”

Ladybug looks at him with a scrunched up face and Chat notices the beer in his hand and gives him a disgusted look. Samson comes over and kneels down to their height, “are these new recruits Cecil?”

Ladybug looks at him and immediately gives him a huge smile. He holds out his hand which they both gladly shake. Cecil starts to talk, “Technically they are but they aren’t globe material. They are from another world and I wanted you to know for the future in case we need them.”

Chat Noir waves at everyone and Monster girl looks them over. “They look awfully young to be heroes, are we sure they are qualified?”

“I destroyed the moon once-“

“Chat I told you to not talk about that.”

“But it was so fun to know though!!”

“You where akumatized though!!-“

He did what? “You could’ve easily talked about how your kwamii killed the dinosaurs or sunk Atlantis!!”

“You what?”

Robot was the one to ask, “but that is nothing compared to your kwamii getting so hungry she caused pompeii!”

They start to bicker so I give them a look and they quiet down. The guardians look at me and the two teens quickly apologize to Cecil for being brats. I smile and Monster Girl continues, “I take back my comment about them being too young, they seem hard core.”

Ladybug seems to get brighter and she reaches into her yo-yo retrieving the rooster quicker than earlier. She puts on the ring and Rex makes a comment about what that was supposed to do, she transforms and he stops talking. Rae quickly came up and talked to them, looking them over and calling them cute. Ladybug blushes and Chat Noir gets all smug. Cecil seems done though because he then says, “Just leave already.”

Ladybug blows a raspberry at him before opening a portal and walking through it. I watch Cecil’s eyes get a flash of anger before settling once more, Chat then turns to me. He hugs me quickly and then rushes off, blowing a raspberry at Cecil as well. The portal closes behind them. “I sure hope we don’t see those two again soon.”

Cecil teleports away and Samson starts to ask me questions about the two. Oh how much chaos those two caused in four hours. But I hope I can see them again soon, not for an emergency but I have a feeling they are gonna be great.
