Fallen from the sky

Summary:

In which third-year Sakura, top dog of Furin, falls back into the past. Everyone is confused.

Chapter 1: Dropped like a tetris block

Summary:

Hiragi and Umemiya help someone and receive quite a surprise.

Chapter Text

Gut feelings are not to be ignored, eer. Umemiya Hajime has known this very well, ever since he was a young boy. You needed to trust your gut if it told you that something was going to happen. Some times, it could help you survive. Other times, it would bring some surprises.

The sound of someone crashing onto something broke him out of his concentration. His head jerked forward, looking around. There was a groan on pain that came from an alleyway. He shared a look with Hiragi, who looked at the alley as well. He heard the sound, too. Umemiya didn't hesitate on walking towards it, concern and trepidation on his face. If someone was hurt, then the culprit wouldn't be too far away, right?

They found someone laying on their side, wearing a Furin uniform. Which made the situation even more serious for them. One of their own was hurt. Umemiya picked up the pace, jogging over to them and kneeling down. "Hey, are you okay?" he asked, gently setting a hand on the person's shoulder as Hiragi did the same. The person, a boy around their age, groaned, his slicked-back black and white hair all messed up from, most likely, fighting.

Huh. His hair kinda looks like Sakura's and mine.

It was an innocent thought that rang throughout his mind. Really, he didn't think too much of it as they turned the boy over. His nose was bloodied, but it didn't look broken. His eyes were squinted, as if trying to shield his vision from the sunlight, which he did by instinctively bringing an arm up. "Fuck..." he grunted.

"Well, he's conscious, so that’s good." Hiragi murmured under his breath, shoulders slumped slightly "Hey, kid, are you alright?"

"No, I got dropped from the sky like a damn tetris block." the boy groaned "At least I didn’t hit my head but it still fuckin' hurts..." he added. Umemiya wanted to laugh at the analogy, because it was so out of nowhere. But he didn't, because this was a serious situation.

"It's good that you protected your head! What do you remember?" he asked, quickly checking the boy for injuries. He seemed to have a few bruises on his upper body, which is what he can see.

"Uh- fuck gimme a moment- Big gang fight." he said, and that just made both third years freeze "Some assholes tried to take over Bofurin. Tamon Squad and I went an' kicked their asses..." Okay, that definitely was not right. There had not been a gang fight ever since the war with Noroshi. Hiragi glanced at the boy with a frown.

"And what happened?"

"We kicked their asses, obviously. They never had a chance." the boy boldly claimed, reaching the arm that was on the ground up into the air with his fist closed, as if he was punching it "But then a hole appeared on the ground... And I had to kick some first years away from it an' I got sucked in." he added. Umemiya frowned.

The story didn’t add up. There were no recent big fights between gangs that included Bofurin, and there was no way the boy is mistaken because he is wearing the Furin uniform. So what the hell is going on?

The boy dropped both arms back to the ground as he slowly sat up. His eyes were mismatched, black and blue on the right and gold on the left. Just like Sakura's. The uniform jacket had a tail coat on it, but it almost looked... more rugged? As if burnt off for cool purposes. The shirt under it was a pale yellow, with a band name on it.

"...Huh. You look like one of my juniors." Umemiya absentmindedly commented, blinking. Because there was such an uncanny resemblence between Sakura and this boy. But the boy’s eyes widened slowly upon seeing them both.

"Umemiya-senpai?! Hiragi-senpai?! Why do you both look young, like when I first arrived at Makochi?!"

...

"WHAT?!"

"You're telling us you are from two years into the future." Hiragi repeated. The boy, Haruka, he insisted on being called that by the way, nodded. Umemiya gaped at the boy, because Haruka looked... totally different than the current Sakura he knows.

This one stands relaxed yet ready to fight, hands unclenched yet still remaining in his pockets. His hair is styled like Umemiya and his coat is the same as his- which he finds absolutely awesome, the thought of having made such an impact on his junior.

You wanna know the reason why Umemiya has such a hard time believing that this is his little brother Sakura? The height. Haruka was taller, around 180 cm. He's grown too tall. He didn’t want him to grow so much.

"It sounds hard to believe, but I can prove it to you." Haruka assured "I could tell you events from this year that have happened in detail, like the battle with KEEL or the brawl in the Red Light District."

"I-It's fine, I don't think it's necessary." Hiragi sweatdropped, waving a hand "We're just- y'know- processing it all. The fact that you're Sakura- er- Haruka, from the future."

"I don't blame ya, honestly. But it's the truth." Haruka said.

"So, what's it like in the future?" Umemiya asked with a curious smile.

"Well, I became the top of Furin once you graduated." he began, Umemiya's face lighting up at that "It was definitely difficult at first, because I did not know what the fuck I was doing. Luckily, I had the others by my side, helping me each step of the way and I could never be more grateful for it." he admitted "If you tell them that I will actually punch you though." he quickly threatened, cheeks lightly flushed. Umemiya chortled at that, but nodded.

"You have your big brother's honour." he flashed a grin.

"We should probably get back to the school." the idea that Hiragi suggested was a good one. Besides, the others would be so surprised to see Haruka! And they'd get to know so much things about the future, too! Umemiya was fully on board. They looked at Haruka, who's face was scrunched up, as if debating on whether or not to go. But he let out a sigh, relenting.

"Sure..."

Chapter 2: Too tiny

Summary:

The Four Kings are too tiny for Haruka to handle.

Chapter Text

"Oh yeah no, it definitely feels weird seeing the school like that. It's cleaner in the future." that felt like a personal blow to both third years. Like, an actual, personal blow. Hiragi watched how Umemiya crumbled slightly, sulking at the words. The blond sweatdropped. Haruka just stared, confused.

"Is he okay?" he asked, concerned.

"Ah- Yeah. You know how he is." Hiragi said dismissively, a bead of sweat rolling down his face "A little bit dramatic."

"Yeah, Umemiya-senpai has always been like that." Haruka sweatdropped "Though I guess you get used to it..." he added.

"Absolutely. I can assure you that it is true." Hiragi huffed. He can say this from experience of knowing this idiot for two years already. Despite the dramaticisms, he was a caring person, one you can always rely on. There wasn't a better person to be the leader of Bofurin. It made Hiragi wonder how Furin is with Haruka as the leader.

"So! How's the future Furin like? I wanna know all about it!" Umemiya chimed, excited as they walked into the school grounds. The rest were on patrol, so it was empty. Mostly. Hiragi was sure that the rest of the Four Kings were still inside, doing whatever.

"Well, we've got our own Four Kings." Haruka began "Suo became the leader of the Tamon team this year, after Kaji-senpai was during his third year," okay, now Hiragi's heart is squeezing because- Kaji. Kaji became the Tamon King. Like him. It's actually really sweet. What the fuck.

"Kiryu became the Jikoku Team Leader, Sugishita became the Komoku Team Leader and Tsugeura became the Zojo Team Leader. They've all also chosen their own advisors, too. Then Nirei became my own advisor-"

"Your own advisor?" Umemiya cut off, curious.

"He's our info master, and also one of our most valuable members. Suo is usually around him whenever he goes to collect information about other gangs." Haruka explained "He's there to help me with some responsibilities, like alliances and territory discussion stuff, 'cause sometimes it just gets too much for me. He's better at that. Sugishita also helps whenever he can." he continued as they made it up to the second floor.

"That's so sweet! You've got yourself some reliable kings, huh?" Umemiya beamed.

"I'm surprised Sugishita and you are getting along." Hiragi commented, brows raised slightly in amusement. Last he remembered, those two would be at each other's throats, with some weird, one-sided rivalry kinda thing. He didn't pay much attention to it, knowing he'd just get irritated by their constant arguments, so he would only step in if it got worse.

"...He's peaceful." Haruka admitted, cheeks burning up slowly "It's nice to be around him. He kinda mellowed out in the middle of our second-year. Some stuff he didn't really tell anyone but Nirei, but Nirei promised him to keep quiet."

"Oh? Sugishita and Nirei got close?" Hiragi asked.

"Yeah. You can see them together at least like once every day. It's like- that one thing on the fucking- the tiktok thing-" Haruka stammered "The whole... 'yapper and listener'? I don't know..."

"...Why do you have tiktok?" Hiragi sweatdropped.

"It's 'cause Kiryu insisted on me getting it to see what the others do! He said I didn't need to post anything, and I don't, I just have it! And now he won't stop fuckin' sending me videos of- of cats and say it's me! It's clearly not!" Haruka exclaimed, face flushing fully as he dug his hand into his coat's pockets, taking out his phone. He aggressively typed in the code and unlocked it. Huh, he got security stuff for it, Hiragi noticed. That, and also the case around it.

The phone's case was rather simple, but cute. It's black and white, of one of those Sanrio characters he heard one of his classmates gush about. Pocchacco was his name? He didn't really remember it. He'd ask later for confirmation on the name. Umemiya did coo at it, but he got smacked on the back of the head by Haruka and he stayed sulking.

The kid (Sakura or Haruka, he's always gonna be a kid to Hiragi, he can't lie there) opened the social media app, immediately going to his dms and huffing at how long it took to load. The image of an older-looking Kiryu with a cat filter was the first one to pop. He tapped on it, and Hiragi inched closer. Their messages were filled with videos of cats and arguments that went back and forth.

"But you're like a cat, Haruka- OW!" Umemiya winced when he got hit again.

"Shaddup!"

"Stop embarrassing the kid, Umemiya." Hiragi sighed, bringing a hand to his face and running it down, clearly exhasperated. He was considering popping a Gaskun-10 into his mouth, or a few, just to soothe his stomach.

"Sorry! But it's true!"

"What's gonna be true is your face bashed in!"

They soon arrived at the door to the rooftop. "Yeah, no, Sugishita insisted on keeping the garden on the rooftop, but smaller. We take turns, though it's mostly him and Nirei who take care of it." Haruka explained to them, the words bringing Umemiya relief, "Sometimes, when you visit, you help with taking care of it. Honestly, we really appreciate it when you come."

"Ah, I'm glad to hear that!" the current leader of Bofurin sighed in relief as he opened the door. The sun shone brightly, almost blinding them. The rest of the Four Kings were there, chatting happily. Though they turned to the group when they heard the door open.

"Ume, Hiragi! Hi!" Tsubaki waved happily, a smile on his face.

"Who's that?" Mizuki asked, looking at Haruka curiously.

"Alright, so. Don't freak out."

"Why are you starting with that?" Momose asked.

"It's something really- really hard to believe. So." Umemiya stepped aside, revealing Haruka to them "We may or may not have met Sakura from the future, and we brought him here." he smiled. There was silence for a couple of seconds.

"WHAT?!" Umemiya covered his ears, Haruka did the same. Hiragi didn't, he just sweatdropped.

"Sakura from the future?! For real?!" Tsubaki gasped, running over "Oh my god, he's gotten so tall! And his hairstyle's just like yours, Ume!" he gushed, his eyes brightening up in joy. Haruka squirmed, like a cat, and recoiled back slightly, but he didn't seem like he was about to burst.

"He looks like a model." Momose smiled "If you'd let me, and would like, I could paint you."

"Uh... I'll consider it."

"That's a win for me!"

"Someone from the future... It sounds unreal..." Mizuki murmured, a small hint of excitement in his own tone. Ah, he probably was comparing it to an action series he liked, maybe. They all did sound like they believed them, though. Which was good. It meant he didn't need to ramble his ass off.

"T-Tiny..." Haruka murmured.

"Eh?"

"You guys are too tiny..." Haruka repeated "Most of you are almost 200 cm in the future... This sight feels wrong." he said.

"...We got that tall?? Really??" Tsubaki questioned, surprised.

"Yeah... Well, except Momose-senpai. He got up to 167 cm."

"...You're just a little baby..!"

"NO I'M NOT- TSUBAKI-SENPAI, STOP!-"

Notes:

Btw future people will be referred by their names in the fic. Haruka calls them by their first names in his POV, but he still gets embarrassed saying it out loud so he just says their last names.

Chapter 3: The prettiest future boy, according to Tsubaki

Summary:

Haruka is roped into getting his nails and make-up done. Meanwhile, his kings and advisor are trying not to panic. I also sprinkled a wee bit of angst somewhere there

Chapter Text

Seriously, he doesn't know how he got here. He'd just been talking with the previous Four Kings one moment, and then the next? Tsubaki-senpai is pulling out a make-up case with sparkling eyes, and Momose-senpai had pulled out his sketchbook, ready to draw him. Haruka sat in place, completely dumbfounded. "You're going to look absolutely stunning, Haruka-kun!" the long-haired boy smiled brightly, already pulling out foundation.

"I don't have a say in any of this, do I?" he asked, already knowing the answer to that question.

"Nope~!" Tsubaki beamed "Our tiny Sakura would never let me do his make-up!" he sighed dramatically, beginning to apply foundation on Haruka's face. The other's gaze saddened for a moment, but it was so quick, you wouldn't be able to realize it unless you hadn't focused super hard on his expression.

"Past me would have found it embarrassing, yeah." he sweatdropped.

"Which is why you not squirming around and running means it's the perfect chance!" Tsubaki smiled brightly.

"That's 'cause future you got Kiryu into all of that! He takes so damn long to do his make-up right before patrols and it's so annoying." Haruka huffed without any maloce "And now I'm his damn test subject! He put white lipstick on me once and he still teases me about it!"

"White lipstick exists?" Hiragi asked as he tilted his head, clearly confused by the revelation.

"Apparently!" Haruka exclaimed, wanting to throw his hands up in the air. But that'd mean he could hit his second favourite senpai. So he stomped lightly on the floor instead.

"It does, yes! There are infinite possibilities when it comes to different shades of lipstick!" Tsubaki added as he finished applying the foundation, moving onto the eyebrows as two pencils dangled in his hands "But Hiragi's not the make-up type at all, so I'd rather not bore him with that." he hummed, beginning to do Haruka's eyebrows, his wrist moving with clear precision and experience.

"You also got Nirei into it, too, so now I get double teamed!" he pouted.

"Eh? Nirei, and make-up?" Umemiya asked, surprised "That's a combination I never thought of." he admitted, rubbing his chin. Yeah, Haruka did not think of it either until Nirei began to show up with make-up whenever he had gotten beat up. He covered them up and did not let any of them see them, and it was so annoying because it felt like the brunet did not trust them! Haruka knew that Akihiko cared about them. Haruka knew Akihiko knew he could tell them anything. But the boy- god, he wanted to smack him on the back of the head for being a stubborn idiot. He can rely on the top dog and four kings.

"Yeah, well now it happens! And none of us can convince him otherwise. I swear, he just shows up with a make-up that makes him look like a super model but it hides his freckles, and it's so annoying! I'm not used to Nirei without freckles!" he continued to complain, deciding to just not say anything about the true reason. They didn't need to know. The future them already did, so they didn't need the past kings to know.

"No way! Nirei-kun without freckles is not Nirei-kun!" Tsubaki gasped as he recoiled in what seemed like pure horror "There's no way! His freckles are so cute! Why would he cover them up?!" he had a brief panic until Umemiya placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Calm down, Tsubaki! I'm sure that future Nirei doesn't always cover his freckles!" he assured.

"I hope so! His freckles bring out his adorable factor!" Tsubaki pouted, going back to finishing the work of Haruka's eyebrows. Once that was done, he searched through his bag.

"You said Kiryu-chan does your make-up often, yeah?"

"Mhm."

"What does he usually do?" Haruka paused at the question. What did Mitsuki usually do to his face when it came to make-up? Well, apart from getting tickled by the brushes, that is. Did Tsubaki want to imitate what Mitsuki did whenever he persuaded the heterochromatic teen to get his face all dolled up?

"He found out that yellow eyeshadow apparently goes good with my eyes? I like black or brown better because they're darker and discreet, but he says that the yellow brings out my features more, or something like that." he explained "He also doesn't do blush or contour or however the hell its called- he says me blushing is enough to give colour to my cheeks." he's embarrassed by the last part, yes. Because he's gotten better at controlling his blushing problem! Now it's only when his romance sensor, as Hayato and Akihiko call it, goes off.

"He's right, the yellow would bring out your features more." Momose nodded.

"Ah, well- I do have brown with me, so I'll put that on!" Tsubaki smiled. Haruka nodded, watching how the other grabbed a brush and the eyeshadow colour. Out of instinct, the heterochromatic teen closed his eyes, allowing the other to apply the make-up.

"Ooooh! Lookin' good, Haruka! Tsubaki's doin' a good job!" Umemiya smiled.

"Thank you, Ume!" Tsubaki beamed, cheeks reddening. Haruka felt his 'romance sensor' go off, cheeks reddening. God dammit, stupid sensor! He hates this so much! It's so annoying, especially because they're engaged in the damn fucking future! Aaaaaaah, he wants to rip his hair out!

"Haruka? Are you alright??" Hiragi asked.

"YeAH!" he choked out, voice cracking "EVERYTHING'S FInE!" Umemiya laughed heartedly at the reaction. Stupid sensor, always making him embarrassed! He's so close to just- throwing himself off somewhere so the stupid thing would stop!

"Isn't our little brother just the cutest!?" he beamed, reaching a hand and ruffling the heterochromatic's two-toned hair once Tsubaki finished with the eyeshadow.

"I'm not cute!" he protested "And stop that! My hair's gonna get all messed up because of you!" he added.

"You style it like Umemiya-shi." Mizuki pointed out.

"Yeah, and? It's his fault." Haruka huffed.

"My fault?!"

"Yeah! You kept styling it like that whenever you came during my second year and you made me adopt the stupid habit, and i hatre it!" Haruka exclaimed, flustered.

"How cute!" Tsubaki cooed in joy.

"It's such an Umemiya thing to do." Hiragi sighed, a tired smile on his face. Haruka huffed, because his senpai was right. Umemiya's smile had brightened so much more, it was almost blinding.

"No touching my masterpiece!" Tsubaki lightly smacked Umemiya's hands when the other reached to squish Haruka's cheeks, pouting "I still need to put lip gloss on him and paint his nails. And after that, we have to let it dry for a moment."

"Sorry!" Umemiya sweatdropped, taking a comically large step back. Tsubaki hummed in content, taking some light pink lip gloss from the make-up case. He tilted the heterochromatic boy's face up, carefully coating his chapped lips with a light pink, somewhat sparkly coat. Haruka remained absolutely still during that process, like a statue. Experience from Mitsuki was enough.

"You look good with make-up." Hiragi hummed once Tsubaki was done. Haruka just looked away, sweatdropping.

"Of course my little brother looks great!" Umemiya grinned.

"A masterpiece!" Tsubaki joined in, clapping his hands in joy "But I have to paint your nails now. Do you want a specific colour?" he asked.

"...Can I pick multiple?" Haruka asked.

"Of course! Which ones?"

"Pink, red, orange, yellow and blue... 'Cause they're the same colours as the hair of my kings and advisor." he answered, voice growing weaker and cheeks flushing slowly. There were a few moments of silence, everyone staring at him in surprise. It almost felt weird to be stared at.

"YOU'RE SO CUTEEE!!" Tsubaki squealed, wrapping his arms around Haruka in a bone-crushing hug.

"AUGH-"

"He got- He got sucked into a hole?!" Akihiko gasped loudly in disbelief and fear, staring at the winded Hayato, who nodded.

"Yeah. Saved... Saved some first years..." the red-haired Tamon king answered, taking deep breaths "We took care of the gang, though."

"That should be the least of our current worries." Mitsuki shook his head "What kind of hole just- just sucks someone in and disappears?" the Jikoku leader murmured, running a hand through his long, pink hair.

"It's like an urban legend... So creepy..." Taiga shuddered, face pale.

"Akihiko-kun, grab your phone and call him." Hayato ordered "If he doesn't pick up, continue either calling him or spam him with texts."

"Will do!" the brunet saluted, quickly whipping out his phone.

"He always keeps his phone on silent when it comes to fights..." Kyotaro whispered, brows furrowed "He turned it off just before entering the scrapyard."

"Not for us five." Mitsuki countered "The personalized notifications Haya-chan helped him set up always work, even when on silent." they all waited in silence as Akihiko anxiously held his own phone, the rings of the phone audible.

Then.

"Nirei!"

"HARUKA-SAN!"

Chapter 4: A call from the future

Summary:

Haruka sets the phone on speaker so the past Four Kings get to listen to the shenanigans of the future Four Kings and advisor.

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Tsubaki had finished painting his nails on one hand when Haruka felt his phone vibrating inside his jacket's pocket. He paused, taking his phone out. He blinked, looking down at it for a moment before realization dawned on his face upon seeing who was calling him.

My favourite person

It was Akihiko. It was Akihiko! Akihiko was calling him! Holy shit, his phone worked in the past! It wasn't like those digital books that Mitsuki read every day. His face brightened as he quickly accepted the call while receiving curious glances from the top 5 of Furin. "Nirei!" he sounded too excited, but honestly? Being away from his Furin, from his kings and advisor was not a good experience to have.

"HARUKA-SAN!" Haruka physically recoiled at the loud voice that came from the other side. Yup, that was definitely his Akihiko.

"Don't shout, I had the phone right against my ear!" he exclaimed, putting the phone on speaker just so his ears would not have to suffer.

"DON'T SHOUT?! DON'T SHOUT??!! HARUKA-SAN, DO YOU WANT TO GIVE ME A FUCKING HEART ATTACK?!" Akihiko shouted into the phone "YOU GO WITH THE TAMON TEAM AND HAYATO-SAN TO STOP THE GANG AND HE COMES AND TELLS ME THAT YOU GOT SUCKED INTO A FUCKING HOLE LIKE NOTHING BECAUSE YOU SAVED SOME FIRST YEARS?!" the ramble the brunet was going on was loud, fueled by a mix of anxiety, disbelief and rage. Haruka let him, because he knew better than to interrupt his oh so precious advisor. He glanced at the others, seeing the way their faces were filled with nothing but surprise or awkwardness.

"Akihiko-kun, maybe we should calm down-"

"HAYATO, SHUT UP!" Hayato quickly shut up. Ah, Akihiko must have also put it in speaker mode, then. He didn't even use the honorifics.

"I know, I did something stupid." Haruka sighed, feeling bad for both the four kings, who had to bear witness to the advisor's rage, and Akihiko, for triggering his worry.

"YES YOU DID! DO YOU REALIZE YOU COULD HAVE ENDED ANYWHERE ON THE FUCKING PLANET?! YOU COULD HAVE ENDED INSIDE THE EARTH, FOR ALL WE KNOW!" the blond insisted, clearly exhasperated. Haruka sweatdropped.

"Uh, good news is I did not." he informed.

"Aki-chan, let us take over. You should get some water." Mitsuki's gentle and sweet voice was somewhat audible, and there could be noises of someone fumbling around echoing. Haruka waited a few seconds.

"Haruka." that was Kyotaro. His quiet yet stern tone was obviously audible.

"Sugishita." he greeted back.

"Are you okay?" the Komoku King asked, clearly concerned.

"Just bruises from falling from the sky. But I'm alive." he assured.

"Yeah, that's obvious. You picked up the phone and are speaking to me." Kyotaro deadpanned, making Haruka huff "...But I'm glad to hear that you're not seriously hurt. Akihiko would have gone into a rampage."

"Not only him."

"Hush." Kyotaro huffed, sounding embarrassed for a moment. Haruka swore he heard Tsubaki squeal as silently as he could.

"Haruka-kun, where are you? We'll come find you." Hayato's voice came next, clearly sounding worried between all that calm.

"Yeah, so uh, about that... You guys might not be able to." Haruka sweatdropped.

"Huh?? What do you mean!?" Taiga's loud voice reached the phone as well. That meant that Mitsuki had to be with Akihiko. It... made sense. If it wasn't Hayato who was calming down the brunet, it was either Kyotaro or Mitsuki.

"So. Don't freak out."

"Don't fucking start with that." Kyotaro growled.

"Shut up. I got sent into the Furin from two years ago." there's a thick silence that followed after the heterochromatic teenager uttered those words. It's an uncomfortable silence, and Haruka wanted it gone.

"Sakura Haruka I swear to god." Hayato began, a tired tone taking over for a moment "If you're actually in the past, Akihiko-kun is going to lose his mind."

"I have proof! I'm literally with the Umemiya-san and the Four Kings back in our first year!" Haruka exclaimed.

"That is true!" Umemiya confirmed.

"UMEMIYA-SAN?!" both Kyotaro and Taiga let out, clearly surprised.

"Howdy!"

"Don't just chime in!" Hiragi scolded.

"Hahah! That's just such an Ume thing to do!" Tsubaki laughed.

"What does that mean!?"

"Oh my god-" Kyotaro choked out. Yeah, he did not sound too good. He sounded like he was in a panic. Which, in all honesty, Haruka didn't blame him at all.

"Just what kind of hole did you fall into??" Taiga questioned.

"Akihiko-kun's going to end up getting an aneurysm at this point." Hayato murmured.

"Uh- We're sorry?" Momose chimed in, confused.

"No, it's fine. I assume that was Momose-senpai who spoke?"

"Yeah."

"It's fine, Momose-senpai. Akihiko-kun just... happens to get stressed easily. It's a sort of habit, per say." Hayato explained "Ever since he became Haruka-kun's oh so trusted advisor in the middle of our second year at Furin, he's been doing the 'paperwork' part of being a leader, let's say. Communicating with other gangs, arraging meetings, looking over our first and second years, setting the patrol routes and groups, all of that. It's like he's become a miny Hiragi-senpai."

"I'm right here, Suo." Hiragi deadpanned. It's not that he didn't appreciate the comparison between Akihiko and himself, no. He just did not like the fact that he's unintentionally been called a nanny. He's not a nanny. And he glared at Umemiya before he could say anything.

"My point still stands." Hayato shrugged "We simply try our best not to set him off. Akihiko-kun is an important member of Bofurin, after all. Facing his wrath is like facing Satan himself."

"That's a stretch." Kyotaro deadpanned.

"I'm sorry Kyotaro-kun, but could you remind me who was the one who got scolded for tanking several metal pipe blows to the ribs?" Haruka shuddered at the memory, remembering Akihiko, who was standing on his feet, looming over Kyotaro, who was on his knees, head ducked down apologetically.

"Hayato, you can't say anything! You got hit with a bat twice because the enemy came from your blind spot!" Taiga chimed, and the heterochromatic teen could imagine the annoyed smile Hayato had on his face.

"Taiga-kun-"

"We're back~!" Mitsuki chipperly announced, meaning he and Akihiko were back.

"Is he calm now?" Mizuki asked.

"...Was that Mizuki-senpai?" Akihiko asked.

"Yeah! Haruka got sent back in time two years ago! Isn't it cool?!" Taiga beamed. Ah, the sunshine he was. Haruka swallowed.

"...This is my thirteenth reason why."

"Was that a reference-"

"NO IT WAS NOT SHUT UP-"

They set up a video call as per Akihiko's request, just so they could see if Haruka really was at the Furin from the past. Almost immediately, Tsubaki was blown away by how different Haruka's friends looked.

Mitsuki's pink bangs were pushed away by some hairclips, sporting the same expression. However, he had light make-up on that consisted of eyeliner and pink lashes, as well as some cute stickers on his cheeks and forehead, his uniform consisting of a pale pink shirt with a red bow, similar to Tsubaki's own bow. His hair went slightly past his shoulders.

Taiga's hair remained on the same fluffy, voluminous style. His face, however, looked different. He had scars all over it. Above one of his eyebrows, across his nose, two on his right cheek and one on his left cheek. He was also missing one of his lower teeth.

Kyotaro's hair had grown longer, almost waist-length. His bangs were being held by some clips, similar to Mitsuki's own hairclips. His expression was softer, yet he did look a little bit more tired.

Hayato's hair had grown, but his bangs were uneven. His right bangs were longer, reaching past his eye, while his left ones were pushed back. He had the same earrings, but the eyepatch was different. It was black, yes, but it now had Bofurin's logo sown onto it, the colour was a somewhat darker shade of red, between ruby, or berry.

But the most changed one was Akihiko. Instead of blond, his hair was brown again, with some thin strands of hair coloured gray that were barely visible. The only reason they knew was because Hayato playfully pointed it out, which earned the redhead a smack on the back of the head. Akihiko was the other person wearing make-up, wearing more than Mitsuki. He had a pale yellow eyeshadow on and some lip balm, apart from full-on foundation on his face.

"Aaaaaah, Tsubaki-chan-senpai got to do Haru-chan's make-up~!" Mitsuki beamed "He looks divine!"

"I know, right!" Tsubaki grinned "You all look so handsome!"

"Thank you, Tsubaki-san." Kyotaro politely responded. Ah, always the polite boy!

"It's a shame Kyo-chan doesn't let me do his make-up." Mitsuki sighed. The other immediately pulled a face at the thought.

"Mitsuki-san, leave Kyotaro-san alone." Akihiko laughed softly, the sound more tired than the boy gave away "I already tried. He didn't like it."

"You tried?" Momose asked.

"On our second year! Back when Akihiko-kun was one of the few people that could approach Kyotaro-kun without getting growled at." Hayato chuckled.

"I don't growl." Kyotaro murmured. Aww, how Tsubaki wished he could hug him!

"It's nice to know Furin's under the right hands." Umemiya smiled softly.

"Of course!" Taiga beamed "We're all grateful to be under the command of such a virtuous person like Haruka!"

"Haru-chan's the best~." Mitsuki nodded in agrement.

"Haruka's not you, Umemiya-san. But that's not a bad thing." Kyotaro nodded, the smallest hint of a smile on his face.

"Haruka-kun's working hard and motivating us. It's only right we do the same." Hayato chuckled.

"We've gotta do what we can to support Haruka-san, after all!" Akihiko smiled brightly "He's the kindest person ever! The greatest friend to have! A great Furin leader! A-"

"Alright, you don't gotta ramble about your thoughts!" Haruka exclaimed, his face flushed red.

"Aha! Sorry!" Akihiko chuckled, not sounding sorry at all.

"Hey, how's the future us?" Hiragi asked, curious.

"Eh? Do you really wanna know? Wouldn't it be better not to spoil it?" Kyotaro asked, surprised.

"It'll be fine! It's not like it can be bad!" Umemiya grinned. The future five shared a look with each other, then they looked at Haruka. The heterochromatic boy nodded.

"Alright. In that case, let's leave the best for last." Hayato smiled. He glanced at Mitsuki, who smiled, clearly excited for this.

"Momose-senpai and Mizuki-senpai have both gotten into college! Momose-senpai is studying art and taking commissions to pay for extra things for himself."

"Woah! Way to go, Momose!" Tsubaki cheered. Momose shyly smiled.

"Mizuki-senpai's gotten into the animation branch of the same college! I heard he's training under a really famous animator!" Hayato smiled. Mizuki's eyes widened at that, a small twinkle of joy appearing in them.

"Woohoo! Nice one, Mizuki!" Umemiya cheered.

"Hiragi-senpai's going with the education branch. He's taking the elementary one because he thinks that children are easier to handle." Akihiko continued. Hiragi blinked, surprised. Him, going for the teaching branch? Really?

"How unexpected of Hiragi-shi." Mizuki commented.

"But it's interesting! I'll be rooting for you, Hiragi!" Momose smiled.

"Tsubaki-chan-senpai started working at Keisei Street with Shizuka-chan and the rest of Roppo Ichiza!" Taiga grinned "He's makin' a big name for himself!" Tsubaki smiled at the thought of working with his friends at Roppo Ichiza and his sister. Not only that, but he really looked forward to being closer friends with Suzuri.

"Sisters stay together, huh." Hiragi smiled.

"Umemiya-san decided to start working as well. He has a garden of his own." Kyotaro smiled "He's also helping a lot with the orphanage and at Pothos. He drops Kotoha-chan food he harvests that people don't buy." Umemiya grinned. The thought of helping his sister with growing his own food as a job, and also making Makochi happy, was very nice!

"I could not see something else for Ume!" Tsubaki beamed.

"Well, it was either he becomes a gardener or a teacher at an elementary school." Momose smiled "Both jobs fit him!"

"Don't forget the big thing." Haruka added.

"Big thing?" Hiragi repeated, confused.

"Ah, right!" Akihiko gasped, a big smile on his face "Umemiya-senpai and Tsubaki-chan-senpai are engaged!" he beamed. There was a long pause, the words settling in. Tsubaki's mind finally processed those words, eyes widening slowly as a coat of pink spread all over his face. Ume and him?! Engaged?! Huh?!

"W-W-W-W-We're-" Umemiya stammered, his face reddening as well. He couldn't believe it! He was actually going to marry Tsubaki?! For real?! What?!

"Wow! Congrats!" Momose exclaimed.

"That's quite early, huh?" Mizuki hummed "Perhaps Umemiya-shi could not contain his overwhelming love for Tsubaki-shi."

"O-Oh you! Stop!" Tsubaki exclaimed, clearly embarrassed.

"I hope they know what they're doing. They're 20." Hiragi spoke, clearly worried.

"Don't worry, Hiragi-senpai." Hayato assured with a teasing smile "Haruka-kun and Kotoha-san made sure to give Umemiya-senpai the stern talk before he proposed! So you don't have to concern yourself with something happening!"

"Eh- H-Haruka?" Tsubaki blinked surprised. The mentioned teen was already red.

"...You're my favourite senpai after Kaji, and my big sister, so... Of course I had to make sure the person that was gonna propose to you was sure of it..." he said, rubbing the back of his neck. Tsubaki's heart skipped a beat at those words. Oh, Haruka was just a sweetheart!

"Besides, Umemiya-senpai's also my brother, so of course I had to give him the talk! Kotoha was there too because I needed back-up!" he added. Tsubaki's smile widened as he lunged.

"OH, YOU'RE JUST THE SWEETEST!"

"AUGH-"

"TSUBAKI-SENPAI PLEASE DON'T KILL HARUKA-SAN WITH YOUR HUG!!"

"Perhaps we may be too late."

"Wait- Kaji's your favourite senpai?" Hiragi asked, surprised.

"NEXT QUESTION-"

Chapter 5: Whoopsies

Summary:

A rather unexpected guest comes to the roof.

Notes:

Yeah I found out two days ago that Sasaki's first name is Naohiro, so future Sasaki is gonna be referred to as Naohiro. And yes, Naohiro will appear because I have a bias and he's my baby (as are Furin and Shishitoren and Roppo Ichiza)

Chapter Text

The conversation with the future top dogs was very enlightening to Umemiya. He learned a lot about the future of Furin. For example, just at the beginning of the third year, they'd allowed girls in just recently. He'd been concerned about how they were getting treated, but they'd reassured him that they're getting the respect they deserve. Makochi had also grown bigger, and Tsubaki had joined the Roppo Ichiza, too. They were all working hard, and the leader of Bofurin could not be prouder of his kouhais and his kings.

"Alright, I'm back!~" Mitsuki smiled "The third years have been informed of the situation and we've succesfully calmed down the first years~." he announced.

"That's good." Haruka sighed, relieved "Thanks, Kiryu."

"No probs, Haru-chan! I gotcha!" he beamed.

"Alright. My phone's dyin', so I'll call you guys when it's charged." he told them.

"Please do! We can't afford losing contact with you right now!" Akihiko nodded aggressively "And don't get into trouble, please! I'm begging you, Haruka-san, you're a magnet for trouble!"

"Yep. He sounds like Hiragi-shi." Mizuki commented. Hiragi sighed, but Umemiya just smiled. It was good. It seemed like both Kyotaro and Akihiko were Haruka's Hiragis there, huh.

"Well, Akihiko-kun is the one who has to hold him, Kyotaro-kun and Taiga-kun from running in like adrenaline junkies. It's very sweet how he does his best to look after both his year mates and the juniors. Almost parental." Hayato chuckled.

"I know damn well you're not implying what I think you're implying, Suo Hayato." Akihiko grunted "Why can't you let that go..?"

"Let what go?" Tsubaki asked.

"Nirei got called mom once by one of the first years during our second years. The joke never left." Haruka explained briefly, trying his hardest not to smile at the memory. But he wasn't succeeding at that, because Umemiya could see the upwards curve of his lips,

"By Sasaki-kun, nonetheless! Remember him, Umemiya-senpai, Hiragi-senpai?" Hayato chimed in.

"Sasaki? He joined Bofurin?" Hiragi asked, surprised.

"Yup! When he saw these three, he lunged at them out of excitement and began ranting!" Taiga smiled "We were confused until Akihiko-kun explained it to us!"

"Awwww! That's so cute!" Tsubaki cooed, hands cupping his own cheeks with a big smile "Like a big brother!"

"Mother, in this case." Mitsuki teasingly remarked. There was an audible smack sound that came from the other side, and Umemiya sweatdropped. Because it had been a very loud smack. Like- really loud.

"Goodbye. Keep calm, don't cause chaos, look after the first years."

"You should NOT be saying that to us, Haruka-kun. Especially knowing that your-" Haruka ended the call abruptly, cutting off Hayato mid-sentence. He sighed, turning off his phone and bringing a hand to his face, as if he was considering death or something.

"What an eventful call." Momose spoke, breaking the silence.

"We learned a lot from the future!" Tsubaki nodded.

"It's chaotic." Hiragi said "But at this point, coming from Furin, it's not weird at this point." he added, a tired smile on his face. Haruka let out a small chuckle.

"Yeah." he nodded.

"But you've certainly got yourself reliable people." Umemiya smiled softly, gently patting Haruka's head "And I know I can let you take over what I began." he added. The way Haruka's eyes shone at those words, and the way he leaned onto the headpats, it melted Umemiya's heart. Oh, he was so happy. His little brother was just the cutest.

"GROUP HUG!"

"WHA?!-"

The door to the roof opened, and everyone froze.

"I'm glad that Haruka-san is okay." Akihiko admitted once the call ended, slouching on the couch that was on the roof. Mitsuki patted his back, as if to try and take away negativity.

"Yes. We are, too." Hayato nodded "I thought my heart would jump out of my chest when I saw him fall into the hole. The ancient spirit in my eye was terrified, too. It appears it grew attached to Haruka-kun."

"Just say you cherish him as a friend the normal way, Haya-chan." Mitsuki sweatdropped.

"Where's the fun in that?" Hayato smiled.

"Typical Hayato-kun!" Taiga laughed, aggressively slapping the shorter in the back "Ya don't stop goofin' around!"

"But, I'm curious..." Akihiko began "How will the past us react to seeing Haruka-san?" he asked, looking up at the sky. The others paused, turning to him.

"Are you worried?" Kyotaro asked.

"Of course I am!" Akihiko exclaimed "Not just about Haruka-san... It's just that- What if something happens in the past that changes the future?! You know, butterfly effect thing that Mizuki-senpai explained to us?!" he asked.

"That is concerning, yes." Hayato hummed, brows furrowed "Though, judging from the time, I'd go ahead and take the gamble that this is a little bit after Akihiko-kun's conversation with Kyotaro-kun, and before the summer vacation. Which means we have not met Momijikawa-kun, either." he guessed.

"It did look like it, yeah." Mitsuki nodded "But..." he trailed off, brows furrowed.

"...WE SHOULD HAVE ASKED THEM!!" Akihiko loudly lamented, throwing his hands up in the air in despair before bringing them down to his face, dragging them down as he cursed under his breath.

"I think Aki-chan's gonna get more gray hairs." Mitsuki sweatdropped while Kyotaro pet the brunet's head.

"Is everything okay?" a voice asked. The group turned around, seeing Naohiro looking at them with concern.

"Sasaki-kun! Everything's fine!" Taiga assured his squad member.

"Ah, but- N-Nirei-senpai sounds stressed." Naohiro insisted "If- If there's anything I can do to help, then-"

"Seriously, Sasaki-kun. Everything is fine." Hayato assured, walking over and patting the second-year's head "Don't worry your little head, okay?"

"...Okay."

Kaji stared with confusion at the sight before him. Umemiya and Tsubaki were crowded around an awfully familiar boy with mismatched hair styled like the leader of Bofurin and heterochromia. They were all staring back at him, like if he grew another head or something. "...The fuck?" he let out as he removed his headphones.

"GAH- GET HIM OUT!" Umemiya yelled, and before Kaji knew it, Tsubaki and him were charging directly at him while Mizuki and Momose tried to cover the boy, to shield him from his vision. Hiragi just awkwardly stood off to the side, unsure of what to do.

"HUH?!" the second year let out, confused as the tall third-years lunged, hands about to set on his shoulders.

"IT'S FINE!" the boy shouted, the third years stopping their movement. Kaji blinked. The hell? The boy sounded like Sakura. Like, an awful lot.

"A-Are you sure?" Tsubaki asked, looking back at the boy in surprise.

"Yes! It's fine! It's not like it's the worst, anyway!" the boy insisted "It would be worse if it was Suo or Nirei."

"What is going on??" he questioned, feeling left out. Momose and Mizuki glanced behind them, the boy nodding, before they moved back. And Kaji was met with black and gold eyes. His brain registered the person almost immediately.

"...Sakura??" he questioned.

"Yes, and no." the mismatched boy sighed "I am Sakura, just... from the future."

"...WHAT?!"

"Don't shout! Close the door!" Tsubaki kicked the door closed while Umemiya pulled Kaji inside, much to the second-year's confusion. They basically sat him down in front of the taller Sakura, when did he get so tall?, who sat almost... nervously? For some reason?

Then they began to explain to him the events of what happened: How Umemiya and Hiragi had found the future Sakura (who insists to be called Haruka because it's weird to be called by his last name by people he's let in) laying on the floor, what happened, how they brought him to Furin, the call with the future third years, everything. And it was a lot of information to process. Haruka looked sheepish and apologetic.

"To be honest, the plan was just hiding on the rooftop during school hours, and help with the garden and stuff." the mismatched-haired boy sighed, rubbing the back of his neck "But it's not absolutely solid..."

"Yeah, 'cause Sugishita's gonna come here." Kaji hummed.

"Shit." Hiragi cursed under his breath "Alright, we need to make the roof off-limits to anyone except us five and Kaji." he began.

"Huh? Why me?"

"Because you came in without us realizing anyone could just barge in." Hiragi deadpanned. Which, okay, yeah, that was fair, Kaji didn't have anything to rebutt that. He merely sighed, pulling out another lollipop because the one he had before was not in his mouth anymore. Lord, give him patience. He's going to need it. Badly.

Chapter 6: Meowruka returns

Hi guys-

Chapter Text

"So I just have to drag others away from the roof if they try to come up." Kaji repeated slowly, as if to fully process the orders that he'd been given. Hiragi nodded in response. They weren't really 'orders', persay. They were just some safety meassures to ensure that Haruka was not going to get spotted by everyone else. Kaji had already stumbled upon him by accident. Who else would do that? Nirei? Suo? Maybe Sakura himself? They could not have this situation repeating again. They already fucked it up. They could not fuck it up again.

"I know it's not a lot, but Umemiya insisted we shouldn't let Haruka get spotted without him wanting to reveal himself. Sugishita comes up to the roof a lot, so we have to keep him out of here especially." he explained, watching the second year nod in understanding. At least, it was easy in theory. In practice, however, he didn’t know how it would work. Would they just have to hope and pray or something? He hoped not.

Hiragi glanced over at Haruka, seeing Tsubaki finishing his work on the heterochromatic third-year's nails. Tsubaki was practically beaming, and Haruka was looking at his nails with such big, sparkly eyes that Hiragi couldn't help but mistake him for a tiny cat looking at something he adores.

Almost immediately, he slapped himself, startling the second-year. Kaji looked at him, concerned, because the sudden slap was not something he expected. "Are you-"

"Don't. Just- Don't ask." Hiragi sighed, bringing a hand to his face. He did not need to imagine Haruka as a cat, or the first-year version of Haruka as a cat. It might be too adorable for him to handle. Annnnd, his stomach is starting to act up again. Great. He needed his medicine right now.

"Perfect." Momose smiled, and that was when the Tamon team's King remembered that Momose actually wanted to draw Haruka. The taller leaned closer after popping two pills of Gaskun-10 into his mouth, peering into the boy's sketchbook. Only to deadpan the moment he saw the most adorable, cartoonish-looking black and white cat with the biggest sparkly eyes, staring right at him. Hiragi felt a bead of sweat roll down his face. This was not really helping at all.

"You know," he began, and Momose turned to look at him "when you said you were going to draw him, this was not what I was expecting." he commented. The Zojo King just smiled brightly.

"He's got the cat energy." he merely said, flipping the page on his sketchbook to a clear one, beginning to draw again. Hiragi just sighed, resigning to the fate that the Tamon team's kouhais were basically... cats. Or cat-like. Was that why Sakura was assigned to his team? Because of his cat-like tendencies? Did Umemiya just have that power of foresight, or something?

"...I think you're right." Hiragi sweatdropped. Momose just beamed in response as he began to draw a non-cat version of Haruka.

"Are they fully dry already?" Haruka asked for the third time in a few minutes, practically bouncing on his seat from having been sitting down for so long. Tsubaki couldn't help but chuckle at this behaviour, finding it cute. He looked absolutely restless, like he couldn't sit down on the seat for much longer before he'd go up and look for trouble, just like Sakura.

"Yep! They're now fully dry!" Tsubaki nodded once he inspected the nails. The future leader of Bofurin let out a happy sigh, beginning to flick his wrists, probably from soreness. But he was smiling, looking at the nails with such a softness in his eyes that was so unlike Sakura. But it was very pretty to see. The long-haired boy smiled. Haruka looked happier.

"You know, Haruka, you look really happy compared to you in your first year at Furin." he began. The boy blinked, surprised by the sentence and the topic.

"Huh?"

"Like, happier than current you here is. You're happier, you're smiling more. And it makes me happy." Tsubaki smiled softly. Haruka blinked again, eyes widening slightly. But then his shoulders sagged, and he relaxed.

"Yeah, I guess so." he said quietly, looking down at his nails with a look that just screamed melancholic "Makochi's just a better place than my old town." Tsubaki's gaze softened. He was glad about that. Seeing the boy happy made Tsubaki happy. He reached out a hand, patting Haruka's head softly. He immediately leaned into it, like a cat, and Tsubaki bit his lower lip to avoid squealing too loud. He was so cute. It was so unfair! He was absolutely adorable! Tsubaki wanted to adopt him so badly! He's so cat-built, it's insane!

"YOU'RE SO CUTEEEE!!"

"AUGH-" Haruka let out when Tsubaki launched himself at him and trapped him in a tight bear hug "T-TSUBAKI-SENPAI-"

"Tsubaki, you'll kill him!" Hiragi exclaimed, while Ume laughed brightly. Tsubaki let him go after a few seconds, watching how Haruka deflated, soul escaping his body. The Jikoku king quickly grabbed it and slapped it back into his body, watching Haruka flinch and hiss, like a cat.

"Please don't crush his spine..."

"I didn't mean to!"

"The hole is gone." Hayato crossed his arms, a frown on his face, and his smile gone, completely vanished. He was taking this situation seriously. Akihiko frowned, hands laced together. They stood in front of the warehouse, the supposed location of the fight between Tamon and the gang.

"I've practically scoured the entire area. No sight of the hole." Hayato continued, sounding both annoyed and exhausted.

"For fuck's sake..." Akihiko murmured under his breath, feeling his hand twitch "Just- What kind of hole appears and just- Just sucks people into the past?!" he exclaimed, throwing his hands up into the air.

"Like a fucked up urban legend." Mitsuki added with a frown on his face, tugging up his Furin jacket so it wasn't hanging off of his shoulders. He felt cold. So did Akihiko, who was way too stressed to function properly right now. Haruka was in danger! Well, not literally, since he's with the past Furin. But he's still in a very bad situation!

"Yeah, an urban legend that just fucking sucks people in," Akihiko sucked in a breath as he uttered the sentence through clenched teeth "and now our leader is in the fucking past and shit could hit the fan!" his voice continued to raise until it cracked, the stress of the situation getting to him. The past could change! The Furin Umemiya built, and the Furin that Haruka has struggled so hard to keep from being changed could change! Anything could happen! What if Haruka accidentally changes something?!

"Aki-chan, deep breaths, okay?" Mitsuki told him, hands holding one of the brunet's. Akihiko let out a shaky exhale, blinking. He hadn't even realized that he was not breathing right. He nodded, taking long, prolonged breaths to steady himself.

"Sorry."

"It's fine." Hayato shook his head "This situation is rather stressful. I don't blame you for being worried." Akihiko nodded. Everyone was stressed. They wanted the leader back.

"Let's focus on finding the hole before it causes more damage." Akihiko exhaled "Call your respective advisors and tell them about the hole and the situation. It's better if they know, too, but we can't let all of Furin know right now." he dug out his phone "I'm going to call the senpais."

Chapter Text

"Eh? Nire-chan! Hello! It's been a while since you called me!" Choji's cheerful voice reached Akihiko's ears once the third ring of the phone was heard. The brunet flinched for a moment, phone away from his ear. Choji was a very loud person, both in real life and through the phone.

"Hello, Choji-san." he greeted politely.

"Wha- I told you already! You gotta drop the honorifics! You're my little brother!" Akihiko could practically hear the pout on the shorter boy's tone, and he merely sweatdropped. The Shishitoren leader had, somehow, decided to pseudo-adopt the brunet as his little brother. Yeah, he... doesn't know how it happened, either. It happened during his second-year at Furin, and now this is his life.

The brunet merely sighed, trying to mentally steel himself. "Are the key members of Shishitoren there?" he asked.

"Eh?" Choji let out "Well. Sako-chan is on a study session with some of his classmates today, Wani-chan still has a fever from two days ago so he can't come, and Numa-chan and Arima are both, uh..." he trailed off for a moment. Akihiko blinked, brain slowly working. He had a small thought.

"...Making out?" he asked, his tone hesitant.

"Not this time, thankfully." Choji said with a quiet laugh. Ah, okay, nevermind then. That was good.

"Then?"

"They went out shopping, and I think Tsubaki-chan is with them!" Choji explained "Um. Kame-chan may or may not be sulking a little bit."

"...'m not." Akihiko could hear Jo's muffled voice. It was quiet, and somewhat sad. Ah.

"Please tell Togame-san that Tsubaki-senpai is not going to steal Kanuma-san. He's not even in Furin anymore." Akihiko said, letting out a quiet chuckle.

"I've been trying to tell him." Choji sighed "Anyway! Nire-chan, why did you call me?" he asked, curious. Akihiko toook a deep breath, running a hand through his brown locks.

"This is really urgent. I'm scheduling a meeting with the gangs." he revealed "With Shishitoren, Roppo Ichiza, GRAVEL... and Noroshi." the last name was still able to send shivers down the brunet's spine. He heard Choji let out a quiet gasp.

"A meeting with all of us..?" he asked, surprised. Akihiko hummed quietly.

"Yeah. I'm really sorry if it's an inconvenience, but this is really important. It's regarding Haruka-san." he revealed.

"Eh? Sakura-chan?? What happened to Sakura-chan??" Choji asked, concerned.

"Something happened to Sakura??" Jo asked in the background, as if he'd been snapped out of his sulking.

"It's difficult to explain what happened through the phone. It'd be better to do it in person, and to the other gang leaders." Akihiko told them, his voice calm "If you could give me any days that both you and Togame-san are free, that'd be great."

"...We're gonna be busy in the weekend because we're helping with the festival." Choji began "So, this week would be alright as long as it isn't the weekend."

"Got it."

"Nirei." Jo called softly "Sakura. Is he okay?" he asked, the concern in his tone was very obvious. Akihiko blinked, but he should have expected it. Jo had grown fond of Haruka. Really, really fond.

"At the moment? He is. He's not hurt." he assured with a soft tone.

"He got sucked into a hole and ended up in the past." Sakae repeated, a look of disbelief in his face. Taiga nodded.

"Yep."

"And the hole... is not there anymore." Izumi whispered, hands already trembling.

"What. In the flying. Fuck?!" Masaki exclaimed, utterly confused.

"Haya-chan, Aki-chan and I went to check. It's gone. Completely gone." Mitsuki nodded "Believe me, none of us would have believed Haya-chan if we had not called Haru-chan and he'd picked up."

"This is reaching levels of absurdity I had not even imagined could fucking exist." Sakae sighed, bringing a hand to the bridge of his nose "You're telling me. My god damn boyfriend. Our fucking leader. Is now in the past."

"Two years ago, exactly." Hayato nodded "When Umemiya-san was still in his third year."

"In that case, he'd need to be careful." Yuri sighed, a hand fiddling with the sleeves of his hoodie, a frown on his face "Who knows what could happen if he changes something there."

"I know, and that's what Akihiko-kun is especially worried about." Hayato nodded.

"So... until he gets back, what will happen?" Motoki asked, unsure.

"We've yet to discuss it," Taiga began "but we were thinking of having Akihiko-kun actively filling Haruka-kun's position up until we manage to get him back." he said.

"Of course, it'll be a collective decision between us four Kings and Akihiko-kun that we have yet to discuss with him, since he's busy organizing meetings at the moment," Hayato added "and we also wish to receive your input in this possible decision." the vice leaders looked at one another for a second.

"I suppose... Nirei seems like the safest option." Kiyomasa stated "He's one of the more intelligent Furin members. He has a lot of information, too."

"Th-There is a reason why Haruka-san opted to make him his personal advisor." Izumi nodded.

"I'm okay with that decision. But I'm more worried about leaving Nirei alone." Motoki admitted "Knowing how much information he has, small gangs could target him. I know he knows how to fight, but..."

"We know." Mitsuki nodded "Again, this is not a decision to make lightly, we're all ready to discuss the pros and cons. It's just a temporary, possible solution."

"Whaddya think, Sakae?" Masaki asked, looking at the taller of the two Zojo vice leaders. The boy stiffened upon being called, not having expected it.

"I don't like this. At all. I don't like that Haruka is suddenly in the past because he fell into a god damn hole." Sakae exhaled, crossing his arms "...The faster we find a way to get him back, the better. So, whatever plan you guys have, I'm in. Whatever it takes to bring the idiot back." he said.

"That's good to know." Kyotaro nodded.

"Thank you, Sakae-kun. Your help is greatly appreciated." Hayato smiled.

"How did the phone calls go?" Mitsuki asked Akihiko, who was sitting down on one of the benches on the rooftop. He looked exhausted by now, phone discarded on the table. Both the Jikoku and Komoku kings had gone to check on him after talking with their respective vices.

"Well, the first three were calm, though Togame-san was a bit pushy when asking if Haruka-san was okay." the brunet began "Shishitoren also asked if they could inform Kraken about this, considering their most recent partnership, which is a whole can of worms that I don't think I'm ready to touch. At all."

"Sounds like messy drama." Mitsuki hummed as he sat down next to the brunet.

"Yeah, judging from Togame-san's tone, it probably is..." Akihiko sighed "GRAVEL and Roppo Ichiza have busy schedules but they promised to make time."

"And... them?" Kyotaro asked, face scrunching up. The brunet sighed.

"...How does Haruka-san put up with Endo?" he let out a groan of annoyance "Seriously! That guy is just- just- UGH!" he let out, slamming his notebook onto the table once. Mitsuki flinched at the sudden violence, while Kyotaro placed a hand on Akihiko's shoulder.

"Calm down." he merely said. The brunet shuddered, bringing a hand to his stomach for a second before releasing a breath.

"Sorry. I tried my best to be polite, but..."

"Banjo, for the last time, you cannot try and convince Takiishi to drink alcohol-"

"I beg your pardon?"

"Hmm? You're little Haruka's friend! What was your name again?"

"Endo-san-"

"Ah, I forgot it. But I definitely remember your voice and face! The little pathetic hamster-faced blondie."

"...Excuse me?"

"Yeah! The little chipmunk-shaped, hamster-faced blondie with the notebook!"

"...Okay, I'm not even going to comment on that. Listen, when can I meet you and Takiishi, along with the other leaders?"

"Huuuhh? Why would we meet up? Is this to check if Noroshi is being good little boys? I already told Haruka that he had mine and Takiishi's word."

"No- Good lord, we just need to discuss something important."

"Hmmm... What do I get in return?"

"What?"

"Well, I don't just meet people, y'know. I need to have reasons for it~. Ya willin' to pay?"

"Are you trying to extort me?"

"What? Nooo~. It's called business."

"Look, this is regarding Haruka-san. It's very important that-"

"Alright, tell me when and we'll be there."

"Wh- Really??"

"What? Don't sound surprised."

"...I dislike you. Greatly."

"...I can see why you're so done." Mitsuki sweatdropped.

"Thank you." Akihiko sighed "I swear, I'll end up like Hiragi-senpai..." he murmured, bringing a hand to his face.

"Speaking of." Kyotaro spoke up "We have to tell the third years, too."

"...Can I just, like. Sleep?" Akihiko asked.

"We'll tell them, Aki-chan!" Mitsuki assured.

"You mean you'll make Hayato tell them." Kyotaro deadpanned.

"Yup~!"

"Just after Noroshi?" Haruka asked, raising a brow.

"Mhm. The war just ended and we finished the celebration." Tsubaki nodded "Which means Ume should not be moving around so much because he's still recovering from his fight." he added, smiling tightly. Umemiya let out a nervous laugh at that, while Hiragi looked unsurprised. He actually grabbed the leader and just pulled him to the hammock so he could lay down and rest. Haruka sweatdropped.

"That's such an Umemiya move..." the two-toned teenager sighed, rubbing the back of his neck.

"What does that even mean??" Umemiya asked, but his voice was far, so Haruka pretended not to hear him.

"But at least I have a specific date right now." he continued, noting it down on a scrap of paper that Momose lent him "It's better than wondering when in time I was sent." he sighed, folding the scrap and slipping it into his pocket. So that meant that soon enough, Sugishita would come and talk to Umemiya about stuff, and then would come the beach. So that meant that the school was off-limits.

"I think you can stay here as long as no one notices." Tsubaki told him "I don't think anyone would be sneaking around in summer. No one would be dumb enough!"

"Don't underestimate how dumb some people can be." Haruka merely shook his head. People could be idiots. Really.

"I agree with Haruka." Hiragi sighed "And we have a prime example right there on the hammock." Haruka snorted, bringing a hand to his mouth to muffle his chuckles.

"I don't think you should put Ume's endearing tomfoolery with people being genuine idiots." Tsubaki tried to defend him, waving a hand.

"You only say that 'cause you're gonna get married to him." both Haruka and Hiragi said at the same time, which caused the Jikoku king to blush furiously.

"Y-You both!"
