I don’t want to be A Hero!

Summary:

She woke up on The Pavement with, only, Scattered Memory Fragments telling Her what had happened.

She didn’t Know how She got There or Why, but, She couldn’t, just, let Them Die. Well, She could, but, She didn’t want to be Involved in A War. So, Obviously, The Solution was to Stop The War Entirely. Oh, Yeah. And Maybe, get rid of Some of Those Annoying Heroes, Villains and Government Officials, too.

Chapter Text

Everything hurts. That was The First Thing She noticed as She twitched Her Fingers weakly, opening Her Eyes slowly, letting Her Head fall to The Side.

White. She blinked, Once, Then Twice. No, Her Hair was still white and She could see green in there, too. What? She had Auburn Hair. No, it’s, always, been White with Green Tips. Wait, where are Her Glasses? She couldn’t see without Them, but, She wasn’t wearing Them and was seeing fine. Was She wearing Them? It didn’t feel, like, She was. She gently touched Her Face. Yeah, no glasses. She was alone. She’s not allowed to be alone. No, She was always alone. She was, also, Outside. She barely left Her Room, let alone Go Outside. That’s Not Right! She went Outside All The Time to watch Fights. Wait, what? Why would She Actively look for Fights? She doesn’t like conflict.

She carefully sat up, Her Curls falling around Her. At Least, that was the same. She looked down at what She was wearing… A School-Girl Uniform? Why was she in a uniform? Let alone one that looked, like, one that came straight out of an Anime. She hadn’t been to School in Years and even, then, She didn’t have a uniform. No, She was, just, about, to enter High-School.

Then, She remembered. Take A Swan Dive Off The Roof of The Building. No, I don’t believe That You can be A Hero without A Quirk. “Well, Frick!” The Now, Izumi Midoriya, muttered. “Okay, so, This is AU, obviously. She Jumped directly after All Might left. It’s, presumably, only, been a few minutes. Bakugo will kick The Bottle at any moment, releasing The Villain. I need A Plan.” Izumi brought her hand up and used her nails to play with her bottom lip as She muttered. “Damn It! I have to Fight that Thing, because, The Heroes are Idiots! If I don’t Bakugo might Die, Kiri, won’t get The Confidence to become A Hero, and I won’t get One For All! Which I have to, because, Everybody Else’s Body will Reject It!” She let out a high pitched frustrated scream into her hands. “Okay. Okay, okay, okay.”

As if right on cue, Explosions started going off in The Distance.

“Where am I going?!” She shouted, annoyed, as She ran through The Streets. Of all The Things to crossover from Her (Presumable.) Death, it had to be her Terrible sense of direction. At Least, She had A General sense of where to go. Follow The Explosions and Yelling. OG!Izumi’s memories helped a little bit, but, not a lot. Like, giving someone A Map, but, not, teaching Them how to read It.

There!
A Crowd surrounding A Large Slime Thing, fire everywhere, Heroes being Useless, Bakugo suffocating to Death, and Mini-Might watching in The Crowd. Canon worked Pretty well, but, can She actually do That. One way to find out. Just, think of It as Extreme LARPing.

Step One: Get Past The Heroes! Not-So Surprisingly Easy! Done!

Step Two: The Eye! Apparently, Fem!zuku, Actually, carried around Pepper Spray! She wondered if OG did and it was, just, Never, shown, Anyways! Done!

Step Three: What was Step Three, again? She thinks it’s, just, try to get The Slime away from Bakugo’s Face, so, He can Breathe. She can’t remember, so, She’ll, just, do that! Done?

Oh, He looked, so, Happy to see Her. Not. “Why The Hell Are You Here Nerd?! I Don’t Need Your Help!” He shouted between gasps for air as He was finally able to breathe again. “Would You rather I let You Suffocate-Drown?! Whatever The Hell that Thing was doing to You?! Because, I can still leave?!” Izumi retorted, catching him off guard, clearly not expecting her to talk back.

He didn’t get the chance to say anything in response, because, at that moment. All Might finally came, just, as She expected, defeating The Slime Villain. It continued as it did in Canon, Bakugo (She should, probably, start calling Him Kacchan.) was praised for His ‘Bravery’, All Might was accosted by The Press and He (Or She in this case.) was scolded.

Tuning out The Heroes, She wondered how She was going to get to Her and Mamadoriya’s Apartment with Her sense of Direction. Oh, They’re Done! She noticed and walked away in what was, hopefully, the right direction. If this goes according to Canon (Which, according, to Her scattered Memories are pretty much the same accept for her appearance, name, and Death/Resurrection. She really needs to get All of Her Memories sorted, She’ll do it tonight.), Then, Kacchan, will find Her, say something about not being weak, not needing to be saved and how he isn’t going to apologize. After, that, All Might will Pop-Up (Like, a jacked up ‘Jack in The Box.) out of an Alleyway, regress into Mini-Might and offer Her One for All as well as to train her as His Successor (Not very well, but, I guess it’s The Thought that counts.). Hearing running behind Her, She stopped and looked back. And Lo, and Behold! ‘Tis Katsuki Bakugo, Right on Time. As He Yelled out his whole spiel. She, just, looked down, like, She was scared and recited song lyrics in her head. Oh, He’s Done! She thought it would go on longer, She stared at his back as He walked away. “Hm.” She hummed turning, only one thing left, then! Of immediate importance, At Least. As She walked, She saw an Alleyway and slowed, slightly, watching The Alley discreetly through Her Curls, her head down as She tightly clutched The straps of her yellow backpack. “I am Here!” All Might shouted, coughing and shrinking immediately after. Even, though, She was expecting it, She still fell backwards with a small squeal. Clumsiness, from both sides still wins in The End, she supposed.

“Um, are You okay?” She asked, slightly concerned. He was bleeding. She knew he was, but, still. “Oh, Yes! Yes, I’m Fine! Thank You for asking! Are You? You fell.” He reassured Her, asking if She was okay after her fall. “Huh? Oh! Uh, Yeah. I’m fine. Thank You.” She told Him, getting more comfortable on the ground, not bothering to get up. “Is there Something You needed, Mr. Might?” She wanted Her Dolls, but, She’ll settle for fiddling with the straps of her bag. “I was wrong.” He stated, bluntly. She glanced up at Him through Her Hair, before, looking back at Her Hands. He continued, unbothered by her silence. “I wanted to Thank You. If You hadn’t acted, I would’ve, just, stayed in The Crowd, watching as a helpless bystander, but, then, I saw You. A timid Quirkless girl run to help without hesitation when No-One else did. The Best Heroes I know of, are The Ones who went to help on instinct. You gave Me that motivation. You can become A Hero.” “You’re Welcome.” She told Him. Wait. Is there, something, I’m supposed to say here? Oh, Right! “And Thank You. For saying that I can become A Hero. No one has ever said that to Me before.” True. For either Lives. It was Certainly a first for sure.

He huffed out a small laugh, seemingly amused. “Well, then, I am honored to be The First. Listen, I told You earlier that I got this wound fighting A Villain a few years ago, but, I didn’t tell You why.” He said, lifting the bottom of his shirt slightly, to reveal the wound All for One gave Him. “He was after My Quirk.” “Your Quirk.” She repeated, softly, looking at the injury, like, She didn’t already know all of this.

“My Quirk is Special, It can be Passed Down. It was given to Me by My Master and to her by her’s and I would like to give it to You. I will, of course, train you, as well.” “Okay.” She accepted, easily, finally getting off of the ground and fixing her skirt. “Um, can You help Me get Home? I’m really bad with directions, so, I’m kind of, just, wandering around. Oh, Also, We’re telling Mama Everything. I’m not going to Lie to Her. So, You can explain Everything to Her.” She told him, bluntly.

Chapter Text

Well, They managed to successfully make it to her apartment. Somehow. She, then, proceeded to mercilessly abandon him with her (New?) Mama with Orders to tell Her Everything as She went to The Bathroom.

The First Thing She noticed when She saw Her new form was. “I look, like, A Teenage Nahida.” Which, yeah, anyone who had ever played Genshin would see a resemblance, but, also, the noticeable differences. (So, probably, No-One in This World. She should, probably, look that up.) Mainly, She didn’t have Large Elf Ears and which, while, slightly pointy were not very noticeable, and She still had Bright Green Eyes, but, had No Flower Pupils, She, also, had freckles. Not to mention The Age, She was, like, A Mix between Nahida and Rukkhadevata. Pretty, but, trippy. Especially, since, it’s nothing, like, what She’s Supposed to look like, At Least, her body shape (Curvy. Yay, for early puberty.), height (Short.) and curly hair is the same.

Huh. She never noticed how much She looked like a female Yoichi with freckles. Does this mean Dad for One is Canon?

The Third Conclusion She came to was, She was going to screw with Everyone and see if Anyone realizes it and She wasn’t going to do it alone, She had Plans of Corruption to put into Motion.

Wait. She still has, like, a year before UA. Does this mean that She has to go to School? And, Oh,Yeah! Isn’t She bullied? Well, this will be… Interesting. When I was Little, People gave up trying to bully me, because, it never worked. Yeah, You need to talk to Mama, about, That or We may have Major Problems before Canon even happens.

They should be finished. She decided to go check, walking back to The Living Room. However, She stopped as A Picture caught her eye. She grabbed The Picture from where it was half-hidden, among other photos, a younger Inko smiling softly at a laughing White Haired Man who was holding a giggling little girl, A Young Izumi. “Knew It!” She Muttered, as She placed The Picture back, continuing on her way to The Living Room.

“I have Returned.” She Announced. “How did your talk go?” She asked Her Mama, completely ignoring The Hero. “Did he tell you everything?”

“Yes, He did.” Inko reassured, smiling. “From giving you a Quirk to training you for UA.”

“Oh, Good. He did. Mama can I start Homeschooling, until, UA?” She (She really should start referring to Herself as Izumi Midoriya. Or Deku, if Kacchan has any say in it. But, no way in Hell is That going to be Her Hero, Vigilante or Villain name. She hasn’t decided Her Alignment, yet.) asked, bluntly.

“What? Why?” Izumi’s Mama questioned, confused. “Because, everyone hates me.” Izumi stated, blinking innocently at Her. “What, about, Katsuki?” Inko asked, hopefully. “He’s The Worst.” Was Her Matter-of-Fact response, ruthlessly crushing that hope.

Inko looked at her daughter, messy curls, dirty uniform, bruises, singe marks and something that she was fairly certain was dried blood. “Okay.” She agreed. “I’ll get it set up.”

Izumi nodded, satisfied. Before, turning to the quiet Number One Hero. He flinched, slightly, at the sudden attention. “Tomorrow. We’re going to The Doctor. The one you said knows, about, One for All.” She told Him.

“Huh?” He asked, confused. “Why?” She stared at Him for a moment, before, sighing in disappointment. He looked at her offended as she began to explain. “I’m A Girl. That means that you can’t train me in the same way that you would a boy. Otherwise, You could cause irreparable damage. So, We need Her to give your training plan her approval.”

“Ah.” He muttered in embarrassment at having not realized his mistake. “Understood! Tomorrow We will go see Recovery Girl! A-As long as that’s okay with You, Mrs. Midoriya?” Geez, what did Mama do to Him?

“That’s okay with Me. You do that and I’ll get You set up with Online School.” She approved. “Okay. Thank You, Mama.” Izumi said, Smiling.

                         ~Time Skip~

Meeting Recovery Girl was cool. Especially, when She scolded All Might and praised her for her forethought. Saying most heroes are Idiots who wouldn’t think of getting A Doctor Approved training plan, especially, for A Quirk as volatile as One for All (Looking at you, All Might.).

In The End, She’s still cleaning The Beach, but, The Side-Training Montage that she barely remembers is different. Beginners Gymnastics (Which will get more Advanced as she gets better.) and Dance-Dance Revolution, along with Stretching and Yoga (Which Her Mama had decided to join her for.).

Since, She had started Online School, She had come to a rather large amount of Free Time. She had decided, since, She had reached her limit of exercise (God, She Hated Exercise!) for The Day to wander and, hopefully, learn Her surroundings and get lost less often.

She was walking past A Bridge, when She Froze. She did Not, just, see who she thought she saw. She turned slowly, Nope! Still There! What The Hell?! She thought, staring at The Candy Cane Coded Todoroki sitting (Laying? Whatever, semantics.) in The Grass under The Bridge.

I guess I can move up some of My Plans. She thought, smiling mischievously.

“Hi!” Shouto’s eyes shot open at The Voice that came from directly above him. Outlined by The Sun, The Originator of The Voice, a girl his age, seemed to be glowing.

She giggled and sat down criss-cross next to Him. “So, trying out for The Part of The Troll under The Bridge? I fear You may be too Pretty for The Role.” She informed Him.

He blinked at Her confused. “I… don’t Know what that is.” He told Her, hesitantly. “That’s okay. I can tell you if you want. People usually don’t get what I’m talking about.” She told Him, unbothered.

He stared at Her, before, nodding. Soon, She was explaining Pre-Quirk slang, sayings and references to Him. With Him, occasionally, interjecting with questions.

Izumi got up, stretching. “Where are You going?” Todoroki asked, confusion and panic, just, barely showing through his usual monotone. “Home. The Sun is setting soon.” She said, looking towards The Setting Sun. “Same Time, Tomorrow?” She stated more than asked, smiling down at Him.

As She started walking down The Street, She heard him shout. “Shouto! My name is Shouto! What’s your name?” “Ah! I’m Izumi! I’ll see You, Tomorrow, Shouto!” She wasn’t even trying to phrase it as a question.

“I’ll see you, tomorrow, Izumi!” Was His response. She giggled as She waved goodbye, Well, That was Unexpected.

                  ~Another Time Skip~

“I’m staging an intervention.” Izumi declared, staring at Shouto. She continued before He could speak. “I get that You don’t want to use your fire in a misguided boycott in the belief that it’s, actually, your fathers fire! Which it isn’t! It’s Yours! But, You are hurting yourself! Not Your Father! So, We are going to come up with A healthy way of rebellion and screwing with your Father that doesn’t end with You having Hypothermia!” She informed Him, firmly.

“What, exactly, do you have in mind?” He asked, knowing she already had plans and wouldn’t let him escape or change the topic as he often tried whenever this topic came up. (Arguing was futile, he had learned.).

“You are going to watch This! It’s A Pre-Quirk Era show!” Izumi told Him, setting a laptop in front of Him. “‘Avatar: The Last Air Bender?’” “Mm-hm!” She hummed, nodding in confirmation as she messed with his hair.

She had learned Via Google, that This World was essentially, just, A Future AU of Her OG World. Which meant, almost, everything was still there. She, just, had to look to find it. (Wonder if They ever Finished One Piece, maybe, I can look That up.)

“Hey! How attached are you to The Color (Colors?) of Your Hair?” She asked Him, suddenly, looking at him with a look in her eyes and a smile which he had learnt meant that she wanted to mess with people.

Chapter Text

Hitoshi didn’t know how he got into this situation. Sitting at A Beach with two probably crazy people.

Watching a tiny girl drag a fridge two times her size across the sand towards a truck (Occasionally, stopping to pick up something that caught her eye and, either, throwing It away or putting it in a bag.) and someone he was pretty sure was Endeavor’s son (Wasn’t he supposed to have Red and White Hair?) re-enacting the movements from the show that was playing on his laptop on a piece of sand, that The Girl, Izumi, had already cleared.

Oh, right. It’s her, fault. Izumi. Though, he did have to Thank Her for stopping his bullies (More like terrifying Them, but, Still.), before, dragging Him here.

“Why are You, just, sitting there? Think of The Devil. Izumi stood in front of Shinsou, hands on her hips as she looked down at where he was sitting on the curb, which separated the sand and the concrete.

She had been both surprised and unsurprised to accidentally find him. She knew he was bullied and that most people saw him as someone with A ‘Villain’s Quirk’, which is honestly ridiculous. It’s Not What you have, it’s How you Use It.

So, when, she saw him getting pushed into an alley as she was on her way to meet Shouto at the beach. She decided to move Another plan up.

The Bullies were likely trying for The Hero Course, We can use This. The Paranoia of being caught and it being put on their records is worth more to Them than Hitoshi is.” She muttered, grabbing a bunch of rocks and beginning to climb The Fire Escape.

The Thing about alleys is, They Echo. You can never quite tell where a sound is coming from. So, when They started hearing an undecipherable voice coming from Everywhere and Nowhere. They were unnerved, but, thought it was, just, one of The Others playing a prank. Then, They started hearing noises and things in The Alley (Cans, Bottles, Broken Clay Pots, General Garbage and Recyclables.) started falling or moving.

Hitoshi at this point had been forgotten as he watched his bullies flee. “Hi~! Are You Okay?” He looked up, not expecting to hear a girl from above Him.

Izumi watched from where She was sitting on The Fire Escape, smiling at Him. She waved with her free hand, before at her other to see if there were any rocks worth keeping from what She had grabbed (And thrown.) earlier. She separated three and pocketed them, tossing The others. Before, She climbed down to Hitoshi.

“I’m Izumi. Come on.” She told Him, grabbing the strap of the taller boy’s backpack and dragging him along.

She refused to say anything else the rest of the trip (She wasn’t risking him using His Quirk on Her and using it as a chance to escape.), not answering any of his questions. They finally stopped at a mostly clean beach, where a black haired boy was waiting. “Hi, Shouto! This is Hitoshi, I found Him!” The Boy, Shouto, just, nodded in acceptance and said in complete monotone. “Okay. Hi, Hitoshi.”

Wait. “How do you know My Name?!” He asked, staring at the girl who had essentially, just, kidnapped him and was, now, digging through trash. “It’s on Your Bag.” She told Him, He looked at His Bag and sure enough, there it was. His Name.

Which leads to Now. “What do you mean?” He asked Her, tiredly. “Well, you want to go to UA. Don’t You?” Izumi questioned, rhetorically. “So, why aren’t you training?”

“Who would train someone with A Villain’s Quirk?” Hitoshi responded raising an eyebrow. “Bzzzt!” She made An ‘Incorrect!’ Buzzer Noise, making an X with her arms. “Wrong! Does this look, like, conventional training to You?” She asked him, She waited for him to shake his head, before, telling Him. “Come with me.” Walking off without waiting for a response.

Izumi led him to a skinny blonde man who was sitting on a bench not far from them. “Mr. Yagi! I am need of Your Assistance!” She informed Him.

“Ah! Young Izumi, how can I be of help?” The Man barely blinked at the presence of a strange boy that he had never seen before next to Her. He appeared used to Her Antics.

“He wants into The Hero Course. He doesn’t have A Physical Quirk and most, People are Stupid and think He’s Evil, because, of His Mental Quirk. So, He needs a training plan.” She told him, bluntly, pointing at Hitoshi.

“Oh, is that it? Of Course! Anything to help an aspiring Young Hero!” Hitoshi blinked in disbelief, before, turning to Izumi. ‘Boom!’ She mouthed at Him, making An Explosion with Her Hands, wiggling Her Fingers as She made An Invisible Rainbow around her with her hands. Ending with her standing with her hands on her hips, smirking triumphantly at him.

                         ~Time Skip~

It was, only, a few days left. The Entrance Exam was here (Well, for Her and Hitoshi. Shouto’s was tomorrow.). Now, They were all standing on The (Now clean.) Beach as she pointed at A Whiteboard.

“Shouto! I don’t know what you’re up against in The Recommendation Exam, but, Beware of Other People! They may have a grudge against Your Family!” Izumi informed Shouto, who nodded solemnly.

“Hitoshi! We are taking The Regular Entrance Exam! Despite, popular opinion and regulated rumors! There are more than one way to get past The Practical Exam!” She started writing on The Whiteboard. Explaining as she did.

First: Villain Points! Destroy The Robots!

Most often used for Physical or Destructive, Quirks. Though, not always. If You see an opportunity, do It. Otherwise leave it for someone else.

Second: Hero Points! AKA The Hidden Points!

You will be focusing on This! Help The Wounded! If You see someone struggling Help Them! Help people Dodge if You think they are going to get Hit!

Do You Understand?” She asked Him, pointing at the rules for emphasis.

“Oh, Uh, Yeah! Yes!” He nodded, slightly disoriented at the influx of sudden information.

Good! You Both are to call me as soon as you get your responses! It doesn’t, really, matter if They open it Before or After we meet up. Does It? I don’t know. Should We Ask? Huh? Oh, Right. Yeah.” She pointed at Them, refocusing. “Whether You get into The Hero Course or Not doesn’t matter! Though, I have very little doubt that you will! Though, on the off chance, that any of us is in any of The Other Courses! We will have The Opportunity to Switch Courses at The Sports Festival! Later in The Year!” She briefed them, speaking rapidly, seemingly switching between talking to Them and to Herself (Something She did often.). “Good? Good! Yeah!” She cheered, jumping up and throwing her arms in the air, like, a cheerleader. The Irony. She was A Cheerleader, for a while, in Elementary. She knows the moves, but, only remembers one chant. Be Aggressive. Ha!“Yay! Okay!”

A few days later, The morning before The Entrance Exam. She was sitting on The Bench crisscrossed Next to Mini-Might, who Her and The Others had gotten used to calling Mr. Yagi, while in This Form (Not that Her Boys knew, about, His Other Form. Who she still called Mr. Might.).

“You’ve done well.” He started. “Young Izumi, You’re very smart. (He was probably thinking, about, how she had called him an Idiot for walking around in His Tall-Might Form when They started. Telling Him it would, only, draw attention to Them and use up His Timer.) strong, too. Strong enough to inherit My Power, now.”

“Okay.” She responded, distractedly. He continued, unbothered by her nonchalant response. “To inherit One for All, I must Willingly give You A Piece of My DNA, which You Accept.” “Mm-hm.” She hummed, nodding, slightly. She knew this, already.

“Now, Eat This!” He declared, holding a piece of blonde hair as she stared at him with a blank unimpressed face. “No.” Izumi deadpanned, reaching forward to dig through her bright yellow backpack (Which had multiple things hanging, looped onto or attached to It, as opposed to the plain bag It was when she first got Here.) and grabbing a portable sewing kit. “I, just, need Your DNA. Blood is DNA.” She told him, taking out A Needle. “Now, either, You stab your hand yourself or I do it. I warn you now, though, if I do it. It will Not be Gentle. Pick Your Poison.” She told Him, holding up The Needle between Them.

He sighed, taking the needle with a grimace, before, he closed his eyes as he poked his finger. Flinching slightly as The Sharp Point went through his skin. Izumi watched unimpressed as The Number One Hero flinched at what was essentially a shot.

Taking the needle back, She stuck it in her mouth. Wiping the blood off of his finger with her own and licking it off, tasting the slight iron-y taste of the blood as she took the now clean needle out of her mouth and put it back in the sewing kit.

“By the way, don’t list My Quirk as Super Strength.” He looked at her confused. “What, why?” She put the sewing kit back in her backpack, before, looking back at Him. “I plan to Master One for All. All of One for All. Also, if I get into The Hero Course, We’re telling My Teacher. We don’t have to tell Them, about, One for All. We can, just, tell Them that I’m A Late Bloomer. That will explain my lack of control over My Quirk.” She told Him.

“All Right.” He nodded, seeing the reason in telling her teacher that she, just got her Quirk. He didn’t, quite, understand the bit, about One for All. However, he trusted her judgment. “Then, what should I list It as?”

She smiled impishly and giggled as she told him The Name of Her New Quirk.

Chapter Text

This is a Terrible idea. Why did She think This was a Good idea?” Izumi laid on her bed staring at her ceiling at roughly 6:30 A.M. Contemplating her Second-Life choices. The Exam starts at 8:30 A.M. “Because, You don’t want to be involved in A War! Yeah, but, I don’t wanna Fight. I Know! That’s why We are doing this, so, We don’t have to. We are against Fighting!” She sighed, heavily, dragging herself off of her bed. Going to her closet to get ready. “I know She is, but, You still have to Fight! Both in The Exams and as A Hero! How early can We retire? Oh, Yeah! And, how, Exactly, are We going to Stop this War? You, really, didn’t think this through did You? We have a vague outline. It will hopefully come together, sooner rather, than, later. She never did finish BNHA, but, We know The Main Parts. Oh, I hope Our memory doesn’t act up, again.” She sighed, again. Cutting off her mutter-stream of self-conversation, as she finished tying a bow around the collar of her white button-up and fixed her plaid skirt of any wrinkles.

She grabbed her shoes, a grey sweater and her backpack, before, walking out of her room. “Good Morning, Mama.” Izumi greeted, yawning. “Good Morning!” She greeted back. “Do you have everything you need? I made you breakfast that you can eat as you walk! Be Safe, Okay?” Inko fretted, setting a breakfast burrito (Or, At Least, that’s what it looked like.) on A Paper-Towel.

“Yeah, I double checked everything over yesterday. And again, before I came out. (Perks of Anxiety! You, always, feel, like, your forgetting Something or that Something will go Wrong, so, be Prepared!) Thank You.” She told Her, taking the food from her.

Since, she was Home-Schooled, now, she didn’t have a uniform. So, she, just, put on something that could pass as one, and put Her Hair into pigtail braids, so, it wouldn’t get in her way during The Practical.

“Okay! I think, that’s Everything! Bye-Bye, Mama!” She said, putting on her shoes, sweater and backpack before walking out the door. Hearing her Mama wish her luck as she left.

As She walked down The Street, occasionally, taking a bite out of her food, she still found it strange how Different everything was.

For One, Quirks. Mostly, Physical Quirks. Did Tokoyami hatch from An Egg, A Normal Birth or A C-Section? And isn’t There straight up Animal People? Does that make them Furries? Do Furries even still Exist? Giants, too. How does that work? Lots of Questions, She can see Why OG liked studying Them.

Two, being unmonitored. It was Weird. Even after months here she still wasn’t used to not being under constant surveillance. At Least, at UA it will be Familiar. Being watched 24/7.

Three, being outside. She was A Natural Hermit. She didn’t, like, being Outside, unless, it was in The Middle of Nowhere Nature with No-One around for Miles. She still avoids Crowds and Large Open Spaces. Like, UA. (Ugh!)

She stopped her musing as she saw UA (She used The GPS on her phone, so, she didn’t get lost.). Throwing away her napkin into a nearby trashcan. She walked through The Gates and promptly tripped.

She’s not falling. Zero Gravity. Uraraka. Looking (Down?) back, She saw her. “Hi. Thank You.” “Release! It’s no problem, are you okay?” She asked, helping steady her.

“Yeah, I’m okay. I’m Izumi.” She introduced herself as they continued walking towards the giant building. “Ochako Uraraka. It’s nice to meet you!” She told her, smiling.

“You, too, Ochako.” Izumi said, making the other girl blink, not expecting to be called by her first name, before, the gravity user smiled again. “I’ll see you, later.” Izumi told her as they reached The Written Exam hall.

She nodded as The Two Girls separated, taking Their seats.

English was easy, as was English Literature and The History of Quirks (She got bored and had, always, liked, reading. Besides, It’s Superpowers!). Math was okay. Ancient History AKA Her OG Era was Super Easy. Quirk Theory was interesting. Science, easy. Japanese History and Literature was the hardest, ironically, considering she’s, now, Japanese and has, supposedly, lived There her whole life.

Finally, The Practical Exam. She was sitting in The Auditorium with All The Hero Hopefuls. She didn’t have The same seat as OG!Izuku, Thankfully, (Pity The Poor Soul who has to deal with Katsuki Bakugo.) and, only, half-listening to Present Mic talking on The Stage. “Can I get A Yeah?!” He screamed, excitedly at The Crowd of nervous teenagers. “Yeah!” She shouted back, quietly, the sound echoing in the silence. “Yeah! Now, That is what I am talking about, Little Listener!” He praised the shameless girl, before continuing on with his explanation as She zoned out, until, she noticed everyone getting up.

She was to head to Zone B after getting changed. Just, like, Canon then. She changed in The Stall and Followed The Directions to Zone B.

Oh, I hate This, Already!” Izumi muttered, feeling Her Skin Crawl at seeing such a large crowd. She fought back the urge to run away and hide. Instead, curling her hands into fists and squeezing them tightly, Repeatedly. As she tried to keep her breathing calm and headed towards the front of the crowd, towards the giant door (Knowing it would, probably, be easier, from up Front.). Skirting around The Crowd, instead of going through it, so, that she didn’t have to touch anyone. (She might, actually, puke if that happened.)

As soon as, Present Mic finished, She was off, rushing through the doors. Already Feeling better away from The Crowd. However, she could still hear him talking. (Huh. Who knew she would ever be happy to have to run?)

What are you waiting for?! There’s No Countdown in Real Life! Go! Go! Go! She’s got The Right Idea!” Then, She heard Running. A Lot of Running.

She ran on Autopilot. Running around destroying smaller robots, helping injured people get out of dodge, and assisting others if they needed it. She hadn’t once used Her Quirk. It’s, about, time they release The Big One, Right? Right on Cue, The ground rumbled and shook as a giant robot emerged, The Zero Pointer.

Then, She heard a cry of pain. Uraraka. Huh, guess that Event remains The Same. Izumi ran over to Her. Her Leg was crushed under a giant cement block, and with the way She was positioned. Not to mention, with how injured she was she was not lifting that cement, anytime soon, and they didn’t have time. She was injured and The Robot will crush them if it gets much closer. (If Healing Quirks didn’t exist, Uraraka would, probably, need A Wheelchair for The rest of her life.)

Then, Izumi spotted a familiar head of blonde hair. Monoma. “Hey! Please, Help Us! She’s, seriously, injured and stuck under this block!” He turned, surprised at being addressed, before, rushing over to help.

“Your Quirk. It allows you to use other Quirks, Right? I saw you use it, earlier.” A Lie, kind of (Does seeing It in The Anime, count?), but, He doesn’t need to know that. “Can you use Her Zero Gravity to lift The Cement off of Her?” She asked Him, seriously.

“I-I can. Or at the very least, I can try. However, it’s up to Her.” He agreed, looking at Uraraka. “Uh, Yeah! Yeah-Yes! Uh, Wh-Whatever you need t-to do! Go Ahead!” She agreed, nodding, trying to keep her breath steady as she stuttered, slightly, in pain.

With her consent, Monoma lightly touched her head before touching the giant rock and Activating Zero Gravity. While, He lifted The Cement, Izumi, began moving Uraraka out from under it. Once, She was completely free, Monoma Released the cement and leaned against It. Gagging, slightly.

“Sorry. I, probably, should have told You, about, that. It, should, go away after a minute or two.” Uraraka apologized, smiling sheepishly. “Sorry to burst your bubble, but, We don’t have a minute or two. We need to move now or forever become bloodstains on UA’s Training Grounds, because, We were killed by Mouse-Made AI.” Izumi cut in, helping Uraraka up and putting Her Arm around her shoulder (No Matter how much She disliked Touch, Uraraka Needed Help. And that was more important at The Moment, She can add it to The Panic Attack She was going to have, later.), Monoma following suit.

They had gotten a fair distance away when Mr. Mic (Present Mic is Too Long!) was heard in The Distance announcing The End of The Exam and The Three watched as The Giant Zero Point Robot, stopped moving. “I’m Izumi. She’s Ochako. It’s nice to meet you.” She introduced Them to Him as They walked to The Medical Tent. “Oh! And Thank You! For Helping Us, I mean!” He blinked at her rapid introduction, not expecting it. “Neito Monoma. You’re Welcome. I mean, I am Here to be A Hero, so, I couldn’t, just, leave when you needed help! And it’s nice to meet you, too. I guess.” Was his response.

Surprise Teacher’s POV! During The Exams:

Yeah!” Echoed throughout The Silent Auditorium. Hizashi looked towards The Voice and saw a white haired girl in braids smiling mischievously with her arms stretched out in A Cheer. He, already, hoped She would get accepted, if only, because, He knew it would be Hilarious. He grinned and finished his speech. Then, went to wait for The Students at The Entrance Gate to Zone B.

Once they were all there, He gave The Usual Speech. And Oh? One, actually, started running as soon as he said It. That was Interesting! And it was The Same Little Listener as earlier, too! Anyways, it was time to meet up with The Others in The Surveillance Room, Until, The End of The Exams.

Shouta watched the prospective students on The Screens, a few standing out, more than others.

•A Loud Blonde with An Explosion Quirk. Only, Villain Points. Probably, Not a good sign. Good Control, but, looks Volatile.

•A Redhead with A Hardening Quirk. He had A mix of Hero and Villain Points. Could use some training, but, had a good personality from what He could see. He would be Good with Civilians.

•A tired looking purple haired boy with mostly Hero Points, concentrating on helping the injured or acting as support rather than directly attacking the robots. Probably, a Non-Physical Quirk.

Shouta looked at The Boy’s profile. Hitoshi Shinsou, Quirk: Brainwashing. Yep, A Mental Quirk. He’s doing good with what he’s got. He’ll, probably, make it in, even, without A Physical Quirk.

•A Brunette with A Gravity Quirk. A Mix of Points, as Well. Same as The Redhead, more training and a good personality. A Lot of potential with Her Quirk.

•Another blonde, this one seemingly able to Copy Quirks. Mostly, Villain Points, but some Hero as well. Doing well, He can switch between Quirks at will. Will, probably, need to work on His Quirk. Personality, undetermined, but, seems, slightly prideful.

•A-His thoughts were interrupted as Hizashi put his arm around his shoulders. “Hey! How is it going, so, far?”

“Fine.” He grumbled, taking the other’s arm off of his shoulder. “It’s, always, ‘Fine.’!” Hizashi exclaimed, dramatically. Before, his attention was caught by the screen. “Hey! It’s The Little Listener!” Shouta sighed. He has A Favorite Student and The School Year hasn’t, even, started, yet. He thought, before, looking towards where The Blonde Man was Looking at, bringing up Her File on His Tablet.

Name: Izumi Midoriya

Applying for Hero Course

Entering First Year

Homeschooled

Quirk: Eldritch (Note: A Late Bloomer.)

She was, actually, one of The Ones he was looking at earlier, before, Hizashi interrupted Him. Mostly, Hero Points, but, also, quite a few Villain Points as well. The interesting part was She hadn’t once used Her Quirk, though, from The Note attached to Her File, She may, just, not have Control over It and doesn’t want to risk harming herself or others. A good call on her part, if so.

“Aw! She’s, so, Cute!” Nemuri cooed beside Them. Also, looking at the tiny girl on the screen as Nezu released The Zero Pointer. “I hope she gets in!” “Me, too! She’s Adorable! She even Played Along with My Speech!” “Really? Oh! That’s, so, Cute!” “Can You Two stop screaming Right into My Ears?” Shouta interrupted the two gossiping teachers. Watching as the subject of said gossip went to help Gravity Girl, who had gotten trapped by The Zero Pointer, getting Copycat Boy to help.

They watched as She quickly created and Executed A Plan. Instructing The Boy, Neito Monoma, Quirk: Copy, to Copy The Gravity Girl’s, Ochako Uraraka, Quirk: Zero Gravity, Quirk and lift the cement off of her, while, She moved The Other Girl out from under The Rubble. They did The Plan Perfectly, rescuing the brunette. Then, they each, put one of The injured girls arms around their shoulders and started moving away from the approaching robot and towards The Medical Tent.

“And That is The End of The Exam!” Hizashi announced through the speakers.

Well! I, think, that this will be A Very Interesting Year!” The Rat(?) Principal announced, cheerfully. Looking at The Picture of Izumi (Who was covered in Dirt, Blood, Dust and Small Pieces of Rubble.) on The Screen.

Chapter Text

Izumi, Hitoshi, Shouto, along with Ochako and Neito (Who she had gotten The Numbers for and had bugged into joining Their Group.), were All sitting in A Circle at The Beach with Their Letters from UA in front of them.

So. Who’s going First?” She asked, staring at The Others. ~Silence~ “Okay. I guess, I Volunteer as Tribute, then.” She sighed, she hoped that she got in and that this wasn’t All for Nothing.

Izumi opened The Letter in front of Her, letting the small disk fall into her hand. Before, setting It on the sand in front of her and Activating It.

I am Here! In The Form of A Video!” A projection of All Might, announced as he appeared in front of The Group of Startled Teens. “You did Great on The Written Exam and Scored First Place In The Physical Exam! Congratulations, Young Izumi Midoriya! This is Your Hero Academia!” He told Her, before, disappearing. She stared, blankly, at where The Pro-Hero was a moment, before.

What?” She asked in a choked whisper, before, letting out a high-pitched squeak and falling sideways, covering her face and shaking, slightly. “Uh, is she, Okay?” Neito asked, concerned, as he stared at the girl who was rocking in the sand, while, muttering and giggling hysterically to herself.

“She’s fine. Just, don’t touch her. It’s best to, just, let her get it out of her system.” The Purple Haired Boy he had met a few days after The Exam (Izumi had insisted they all met each other. They’ve all been Hanging Out, since.), Hitoshi, told Him. He looked at Him, unsure, but, before, He could say anything, Shouto did. “She wants us to keep going.” Both Neito and Ochako looked at him, then at Izumi (Who was rolling in the sand, occasionally making strange squeaking sounds. One arm covering Her Eyes and the other flailing weakly in the air in their general direction.), then back at Hitoshi. “I don’t know how he understands her, either. But, he’s, usually, right. I’m, pretty sure, they’re, just, on the same wavelength of weird.” Was his nonchalant response as he shrugged. “You’ll learn to understand, most of It, over time, though.”

So, they continued. Shouto’s Score wasn’t Ranked the same, because, he did The Recommendation Exam (And wasn’t it A Trip for Them to learn that the weird raven haired conspiracy theorist that they had been hanging out with was Shouto Todoroki.), but, he did get in. Present Mic Hologram.

Izumi had stopped and was, just, lying limping in the sand, now. Listening to the results.

Neito, Second Place, Vlad King Hologram. Ochako, Third Place, Midnight Hologram. Hitoshi, Fifth Place, Eraserhead Hologram.

She reached over and picked up the piece of paper that came with The Disc. “1-A.” She said, quietly. The Others looked at Her, before, looking at their own papers. Her, Ochako, Shouto, and Hitoshi in 1-A. Neito in 1-B.

“Why am I The Only One in 1-B?!” He asked, incredulously. “They can’t have all the powerful people in one class. In other news, You can bother Our Classmates in moderation. Wait, until, I evaluate them, First. However, I give You Full Permission to annoy Katsuki Bakugo AKA Kacchan.” She told Him. “Actually, Please, I’m asking You to.”

Sitting up, she crossed her legs, again. “Do you have The Designs for Your Costumes, ready?” She asked, innocently.

                        ~Time Skip~

“You can have A Suit! But, don’t make The Jacket Double-Breasted! It’s Impractical! And what if you get injured or have to use A Quirk that requires A Lot of open skin? It would be too difficult and take too long to take it off!” Izumi pointed out The Flaws in His Design as they all sat in Her Room. Neito Huffed, but, agreed with The Critique.

Looking at Hitoshi’s Design, She immediately, Said. “You can’t, just, be A Mini-Eraserhead. Add grey and purple, They match your aesthetic. Also, don’t forget to request a voice modulator from support.”

Flitting over to Ochako and peaking over Her Shoulder. “Be specific on How Tight or Loose you want It. As well as, how Big your Support Gear is. Give an Inch and They’ll take A Mile.” The other girl’s eyes widened as she nodded and put adjustments to her form.

Hey! Why aren’t You criticizing his uniform?” Neito complained, pointing at Shouto, who was laying on Her Bed, Playing with Some of Her Dolls (She had restarted Her Collections.). “Because, I filled out His Form.”

“Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Does he, even, know what His Costume looks like? Do you, even, know, what Your Costume looks like?” Neito asked, incredulously, looking between The Two. “No.” Was their simultaneous response, as They both shook their heads.

Why did you design his costume?” He finally asked, resigned. “It matches Mine. And He didn’t care. It’s, also, to screw with people without them knowing. Besides, I want to see if anyone gets it.” She told Him, simply, shrugging. Before, checking on Hitoshi’s Design, again. Letting out an approving Hum, She went towards Ochako. “Make those smaller, otherwise, they’ll, just, get in the way.” She said, pointing at the wristbracers and boots. “And if you can’t run in heels, then, Tell Them, No Heels!” The Brunette nodded and wrote it down.

                           ~Time Skip~

“Let’s do something stupid and, probably, very, dangerous.” Izumi announced, suddenly.

Oh, no.” Neito muttered, before, asking Her. “Uh, what exactly are We doing?” “No. Not, You.” She told The Blonde, ignoring his sigh of relief. “Hitoshi!” She called out, turning to The Goth/Emo Boy. Who had been peacefully staring at The Wild Water of The Beach, before, being forcefully pulled away from the sight.

What?!” She repeated, as requested (Despite, it being a rhetorical question.). “I want you to use Your Quirk on Me.” She told Him, cheerfully oblivious. “But, First! We need to put some precautions in place! Tie Me to That Pole!” She told them, seriously. Handing a long rope to Ochako and Shouto and pointing to a nearby pole. Ochako looked at the rope confused, but, Shouto, immediately, began tying up Izumi as she held her hands up, like, she was on a roller-coaster.

Ochako, eventually, went and secured the other end of the rope to the pole. “Second! If Anything goes wrong, go get Mr. Yagi!” She instructed Neito, before continuing. “If I don’t Respond, after Half-an-Hour! Go get Mr. Yagi!” “Hold on!” Neito interrupted, putting his hands up in a pause motion. “Are you sure, this is a good idea?”

“Probably Not!” She answered, unconcerned, while, he sighed in resigned defeat. “Okay, I can’t think of anything else. Oh, right! Uh, I might do some Weird things. So, just, uh, ignore it, okay? Okay! Are you ready?” Izumi asked Hitoshi.

“Yeah, okay, I guess. Are you ready?” He Asked Her. “Groovy~!” She Quoted at Him.

/Then, She was surrounded in A World of Black and She smiled.

In front of her was A Man who could be Her Genderbent Version without The Green tips and Freckles. The First, Yoichi.

“So, You’re The Ninth.” He stated, smiling. “We weren’t expecting you this soon.” “You can call me, Izumi. I aim to cause Chaos.” She responded back, before, mischievously smiling and saying. “So, you’re My Uncle. The pretty Gene does run in The Family, then.”

His Eyes widened and He looked closer at Her. “Izumi. What, exactly, do you know?” She tilted her head, innocently and answered honestly. “Hm. More than most, but, Definitely not everything. Can I call you, Uncle Yoichi?” She asked, bluntly.

Yoichi burst into laughter at His Niece. “Yes. You can call me Uncle. And you certainly do bring Chaos.” “Are you the only one that’s going to come out?” She questioned, curiously. The sound of laughter came from behind Her and she turned to look.

Nana Shimura. “So Cool! She muttered as she saw The Legend in The (Flesh? Spirit? Whatever!). Which made Yoichi pout and Nana laugh even louder. “Seems, like,  She has Good Taste!” Said the other female user. Banjo, En, and Hikage Who had followed Her out of The Shadows Huffed, Rolled His Eyes and Snorted in that Order. She waved at them happily with a giggle. They waved back, blinking, slightly, in surprise.

“Oh, right! I don’t have A Lot of Time! Can I use One for All?” She asked Them, it was clear Second and Third weren’t coming out, Yet. Not within The Time Limit that She had set.

They blinked at Her. “It’s Your Quirk, now, Izumi. You can use It.” Yoichi told Her. “No, I mean All of One for All! Your Original Quirks!” They all looked at Each Other, before, nodding and looking at Her. “It’s not going to be Easy, Izumi.” Yoichi told her, seriously. “I know, but, I’ll be okay.” She said smiling, sweetly at Him. “Oh! And I’ll tell Mr. Yagi that You said Hi!” She told Nana, who laughed again and mischievously said. “You do That.”

“I have to go back, now.” She told them, sounding reluctant. “Alright, but, remember. You are not alone.” He told Her, reaching out His Arm. “I know, Uncle Yoichi.” She responded, and as Her Hand Touched His, She smiled and closed her eyes./

Izumi opened her eyes to chaos.

What happened while She was in The Void!

Groovy~!” She chimed back, her spring green eyes turning white and her face relaxing as His Quirk Activated.

That’s when things started going Weird. Since, Izumi had, either, forgotten, it didn’t matter, or she, just, didn’t care. The important issue is she hadn’t told him what she wanted him to order her to do. So, he had, just, ordered her to jump.

She didn’t. Instead, she had started smiling. Then, she tilted her head. Hitoshi looked at The Others who were watching her, like, she was a horror movie character. Suddenly, she turned with a bright smile (Causing, all of them to flinch in surprise.), hands in fists and brought up to her chest in excitement, and bouncing on her heels. Her head, slowly, turning back towards them, like, she was watching someone walk past her. Then, she waved to a place near them and giggled. It didn’t sound, like, her. Or rather, not, just, her. Like, an echo effect or multiple people talking at the same time. Then, she looked forward, again, looking up, slightly, and smiled sweetly. Before, She Exploded.

Okay, that’s an exaggeration. But, Hitoshi had no idea that his friend could Manifest Tentacles, While Levitating in A Mysterious Fog that was Definitely Not There a second ago, like, she was Possessed! “Go Get Mr. Yagi!” He ordered, Neito who was, also, staring at their friend.

The Blonde snapped out of it and nodded, running off. Mr. Yagi met him halfway having noticed The Commotion from ‘His’ bench. “Izumi’s turned into A Horror Movie!” He told him, not explaining further, before, dragging him towards The Others.

Shouto was, just, watching The Chaos, and recording it on his phone to show Izumi later. Ochako was fretting, not knowing what to do. Hitoshi was panicking, because, she still wasn’t responding to Any of His Commands and Mr. Yagi froze as soon as he saw Her.

Suddenly, everything, paused as she smiled, reaching her arm out and blinked. White Eyes Green, again.

“Huh?” She asked, looking at them in confusion. “What are you guys doing?” As she tried to sit crisscrossed in the air. Failing and flipping to sit upside-down, but, remaining undeterred as she poked the black and teal tentacles coming out of her wrists, still upside-down.

“You’re Floating.” Toshinori stated, numbly. “Huh?” She asked, looking away from the tentacles. “Oh, Yeah! That! (She nodded, still, upside-down. Her long, white and green curls, which were dangling downwards, swishing with the movement.) Oh, Right! By The Way! Before, I Forget! Um, Nana says, ‘Hi!’, By The Way! So, uh, Yeah!” She told Him, offhandedly, nodding with a small proud smile and turning back to the tentacles, having delivered her message. He nodded, before collapsing into the sand. She blinked at him for a moment. “Um, can someone help me get down, now, please?” She asked, after A moment of silence. “I Think the blood is rushing to my head.”

Shouto and Ochako rushed to the rope (Izumi had clearly thought that something, like, This might happen. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have secured herself to the ground.) and pulled her down. She looked at her wrists and then at the surrounding Fog. “Okay! Uh… Now, to deal with This.” She hummed in thought, puffing out her cheeks as she tried to think of how to reverse this.

/Need some help?/ She heard two familiar voices ask her. In her head, and Not the usual ones that meant she was talking to herself, again. Her eyes widened as her mouth opened, slightly, as she let out a small gasp of surprise. “B-Banjo? En?” She asked, cautiously, unsure if she didn’t imagine it. _Yep!_ -Hi.- Banjo enthusiastically, confirmed, while, En greeted her.

How can I talk to you? Or does it depend on if you want to talk through The… Bond? Let’s call It Bond! It’s easier to Remember. Whatever It doesn’t matter, right now!” She rambled, not noticing She was muttering unintelligibly to herself, while, staring into Space. “Oh, Right! Uh, Yes! Please. If you don’t mind.” She heard the two chuckle, lightly, before, they began explaining. _Okay! So, try imagining them receding back into your skin._ The Fifth began, first. _It will, probably, be difficult. I can, already, tell your an emotional person._If I remember correctly, Blackwhip is controlled by Emotions. The Stronger The Emotion, The Stronger It is. But, also, The More Likely It is to Lose Control.” She recalled what she knew of Blackwhip from The Anime. _Right on! Which means! You’ll have A Lot of accidents, while, learning to control It._ He warned her, before The Sixth began to explain His Quirk. -Try imagining The Smoke dissipating, like, Fog on A Foggy Morning.- He said, simply. And yeah, that sounded simple, enough. She can work on actual control, later.

Looking around at The Purple Smoke hovering over the beach, she decided to fix that first. Izumi did as instructed, imagining The Purple Fog fading away and, soon, enough, there, was no trace of Smokescreen left on the beach. Okay, one down. Now, then. She looked at her new appendages, which swirled around her, poking at things, curiously.

She stared at Them. Nothing happened. Her Eye and Mouth twitched. Blackwhip pulsed. No! Don’t get Annoyed! It’s what It wants! She took A deep breath and slowly breathed out. After a few minutes of staring, she watched as They pulsed, again, and, then, watched as It, slowly, receded back into her skin. Like, a plant growing in reverse, until, It, too, disappeared, revealing, only, the smooth skin of her arms. Like, It was never there, at all.

Then, she blinked. “Oh, Yeah!” Izumi whispered, remembering, that she was, still, sitting in mid-air. Now, upright, as Shouto held her steady and Ochako held the rope tethering her to land.

She suddenly heard a feminine laugh. ~I was wondering when you would notice.~ Izumi heard Nana tease her. ~Don’t worry, though! Float is easy! Just, think of yourself as A Balloon if you want to Go Up! And as A Heavy Rock when you want to Go Down! The problem is controlling your trajectory when you’re in the air!~ The older woman explained. “Okay.” The younger nodded, before, trying it. Dropping, like, A Rock is no longer, just, A Metaphor and She would have fallen on her face if it wasn’t for The Dark Haired Boy holding her up. Thank You! She mentally, shouted to The Previous Users.

“Yeah! We did It!” She cheered, happily giggling. Going limp onto Shouto’s arm, which was around her stomach, too lazy to stay standing. “What The Hell was That?” Neito questioned, sounding on The Verge of A Mental Breakdown. “Uh, Yeah. What, exactly, is the ‘It’ that we, just, did?” Hitoshi asked, numbly.

“My Quirk!” Izumi exclaimed, excitedly. “Oh, Right! I never explained My Quirk to you, did I?” She asked, not bothering to wait for a response, before, continuing. “Think, Eldritch Horror! I have some problems controlling it, though! I’m A Late Bloomer, you see?” She explained, bluntly, smiling innocently. Everyone stared at her in disbelief at her Understatement of an explanation, including Toshinori. Who Finally understood what She had meant by ‘All of One for All.’ and The Choice of Name that She had Chosen for Her Quirk.

Chapter Text

It was the first day of High-school. She had never been to High-school, she was too sick and dropped out in the middle of her last year of middle school. What did people do at High-school, let alone A Hero High-school? She’s running solely on Multi-Fandom Knowledge. She, also, didn’t know how to tie a tie.

She ended up just tying it into a bow. Now, she was standing… somewhere in UA. Why don’t they give the students maps? Sadistic Stoat! Spotting a familiar figure, she knew she was saved.

“Uhum, e-excuse me.” A small voice came from behind him. The Third Year turned and saw a short First Year girl standing shyly before him. “C-uh, hm I, I, Uh, can, can you, please, um, he-help me to my, um, class? Please?” She mumbled, quietly, looking down and playing with a small toy attached to a Keychain as she stuttered out her question. “Find! Find my, um, class! I, uh, I don’t know where it is…” She slumped, sighing.

Mirio was absolutely charmed. She was, like, a tiny female Tamaki! So, he, of course, agreed to help her get to class. He couldn’t wait to tell Nejire and Tamaki about this, later.

Frick! She hadn’t meant to let Her Stutter out, but, the farther she got into The School the worse her Anxiety. She was pretty sure it was her new Spidey-Senses AKA Danger Sense and she could guess why it would be going off. At least, she wasn’t lost anymore.

After thanking Mirio and bidding him farewell, she stood in front of the large doors of Class 1-A. (She wouldn’t have even been able to move those doors.)

“What are you doing?” Izumi answered without looking at Ochako, who had walked up to see her friend staring at the door with dread. “Contemplating my life choices and wondering if it’s not too late to leave.” (The Country. Maybe, she can meet Rody Soul, early.)

“Be my human shield, until I can get to Shouto or Hitoshi.” She told Ochako without shame. “Why would you need a human shield?” Her friend asked, incredulously. “Because, someone in there wants me dead and will attack me on sight.” She replied without elaborating. “Are you going to do it or not?”

“Of course, I am.” The Brunette said with righteous fury. “If anyone wants to get to you, they have to deal with me!” With that, she opened The Door.

Luckily, like in Canon, Iida was in an argument with Kacchan, so, the two girls used that as a distraction to slip inside. Ochako covered Izumi as much as she could from the rest of the classroom, until they reached Shouto and Hitoshi who were sitting together by the back window.

Hide me!” She whispered, ducking behind the two boys. Luckily, no one had noticed the two girls quietly entering the room. So, she was safe for now, as her friends adjusted themselves, so she was better hidden.

Soon, Mr. Aizawa revealed himself and started class, chiding them on acting like it’s a game (Understandable, after knowing his past. Even worse knowing the present and future.) and being ordered to change and go to (One of) the training grounds.

In OG he called on Kacchan first, because he had the highest score, but this time I did! So, does this mean we’ll get called on? She didn’t want to get signaled out, especially, since Kacchan will want to kill her as soon as he notices her! She internally panicked as she hid behind Hitoshi and Shouto.

“Uraraka!” Aizawa called out. “In this Class, you had The Second highest score in The Entrance Exam. Stand in this circle and throw the ball with your Quirk.” He ordered, tossing her a baseball.

Infinity, as expected. Mina and Denki said something about it, ‘being cool!’. She wasn’t really paying attention to the exact conversation, but now someone might get expelled. (She did, not, buy the whole Logical Ruse thing. She knew he once Expelled an Entire Class.)

Why wasn’t he calling on her? He had called on, almost, everyone? Was she going to be last? Yes. The answer to that was, Yes. Oh, no. Kacchan finally noticed her.

She ran behind Aizawa as the explosions began. Nope! He can deal with it! The noise stopped as Erasure Activated. “I don’t care what issues you have, you don’t attack another student. This is your, only, warning. Midoriya, you can come out now.” She peaked out from behind him. “Here.” He handed her the ball. “Thank You.” Izumi whispered, she didn’t mean just for the ball and he knew it.

She had been practicing One for All. Luckily, she had a Cheat-Code and didn’t have to learn everything from scratch, like Izuku. She could get to 6%, while regulating it through-out her whole body. She didn’t want to risk anymore and getting hurt. (Smokescreen and Blackwhip, both, still appeared whenever she got too scared. Hiding her in Smoke or grabbing onto her friends, making it appear like they had her on a living child leash. On the plus side, she could now sit mid-air with almost no problem! Still couldn’t move around very well without outside help, though.)

Everyone stared in wonder (and slight, PTSD for her friends.) as the small girl started to glow, red lines tracing her skin and green electricity surrounding her as everything around her started floating in a nonexistent breeze. Glowing green eyes snapped open and she threw The Ball.

Holy Gearshift, Batman! Did she, just, use Gearshift? I thought you didn’t like me? Second? Second! I know you can hear me! Second! I’m going to keep annoying you, until you answer me! She shouted internally. [I can hear you. Stop shouting. Look, I may not be your biggest fan. But, like it or not you’re The Ninth and there is no way I am going to let that Bargain Brand Knock-Off beat us!] Was his exasperated response. [Don’t make me regret it.]

I promise to try not to! She told Kudo, excitedly. He already was. As a loud crash and screaming was heard in the distance, the sound making Izumi flinch.

“Uh… I-I’m, um, not going to get into trouble for that… am I?” The No-Longer-Glowing Izumi sheepishly asked Aizawa, pointing to the (now) broken window and panicking Upperclassmen. She never had been very good at throwing things.

Her teacher shook his head, indicating that, no. She would not get into trouble for Destruction of School Property. Yay! “Um, what’s my score?” She asked in trepidation. He lifted The Screen showing a small Infinity Symbol. She looked closer and blinked, squinting her eyes. The tiny symbol didn’t change and she squeaked, running over to her friends, like they could save her. (Not from Reality. Unfortunately.)

The rest of The Exam went, alright. She (Along with her friends.) all passed with High to Middle scores for The Other Tests. (She had never done Traditional P.E., before, is this what they did? If so, she would like a refund.)

In the end, no one got expelled. Same as Canon. Oh, look! A wild All Might hiding in the bushes. She stared blankly at his large frame in his bright yellow suit, holding a tiny tree branch in front of him and sitting in the bushes as he watched the class. Even Izumi was better at subtly than him and she sucked at subtly.

She sighed in disappointment and looked away. How did he ever keep a secret identity?

                         ~Time Skip~

She jumped out of the classroom window as soon as class ended, not wanting to deal with Kacchan. Texting her friends that she was going home and was not, in fact, dead. (Another thing she had done with Float, learning to catch herself from a free fall, just before she hit the ground and then landing gently. Something she used to do all the time in games and had always wanted to do in real life.) Ignoring Neito asking what the hell she meant by that.

Now, she was sitting at her desk with her notebook in front of her. She needed to write down The Main Timeline and what had already changed that could effect it.

Through her vast research of This World’s History (Google.), she had learnt that Cursive had pretty much gone extinct. It was like learning Hieroglyphics, possible, but, almost no one did it. And she wrote, almost, exclusively in Cursive. (She had very pretty and neat handwriting, she had always liked it. She was, also, really happy OG’s knowledge of Japanese had stayed, otherwise, she’d have been Screwed!)

She began writing what she could remember, muttering in English (Her default, she had to remind herself to speak Japanese. But, her muttering always ended up English. Or whenever she got too excited, that always caused her friends a lot of confusion, but, they just excepted it as another one of her oddities.) as she did. “Okay, so… uh, let me see…

Get One for All, Check!

Entrance Exam, Check!

First Day, Done!

So, next should be… um…

Getting our costumes and our first class with All Might? I think? Where, if it’s the same enemy pairings as Canon, Kacchan will abandon the lesson and target me.

Then, USJ? No! Uh, Press, Class President selection and Tomura breaking in!

Then, USJ. Try to get Mr. Yagi to be there on time, don’t get hopes up.

Uh… next is… Hero Names? No! Sports Festival! Iida, Thank You for being edgy, you’re helping my timeline!

Then, Hero Names with Ms. Midnight! Make up a Name for Shouto! He's not, just, using his actual name!

Internships! Who am I going to?! I’ll deal with it later! Stain and Iida! Did that one Hero die in Canon? She can’t remember, whatever. Prevent Death and get Permission to use Quirk! Law Loopholes!

Nomu Attack Hosu! Don’t get kidnapped! Or killed!

The Sports Festival is Here! Since I was first place, does that mean that I have to make a speech? Maybe, I can pretend to be sick (I may not have to pretend.), or throw the first obstacle.

I have to get a license, this sucks! Ah! Keep the airhead away from Shouto!

The Mall and meeting Tomura again. I have a plan for this, let’s hope it doesn’t get me killed.

Camping… yay! (Can you sense my sarcasm?) I am not getting off that bus if it stops at a ‘Pit Stop’!

Meet The LOV(E)! Save Kota! Is Kacchan, still, the one kidnapped? Screw Butterflies!

To Yokohama! Wait, if I just wander Kamino, is it possible that I'd just randomly run into someone from The Bar? Huh. Anyway…

Daddy gets revealed to be Alive, Nomu Factory and Epic Fight all leading to Tenko reveal.

Daddy gets captured! I should visit him in Prison. I wonder what his reaction will be when we visit him, having known the whole time. (Speaking of, we're due for a call soon.) Oh, yeah. We should, probably, ask Mama if she knows about Daddy's ‘Extracurricular Activities’ and if not, tell her.

Mm… The League is on the run and we are… doing… something… Midterms? Maybe? Students against Teachers. I think that's when this happens. Oh! Dorms!

Kurogiri got captured at some point. Was it during Kamino? She couldn’t remember. Anyway, Overhaul, Eri and more Internships! She’s stealing Salty-Ex’s (She couldn’t remember his name.)Special’ All Might poster out of Pure Spite!

Um, Gigantomachia, Detnerat, another Festival, Musical Edition! And Tomura destroys a city and gets an army after regaining His Memories.

Crossover Class! Yay, training with Neito!

She didn’t know when the movies happened, only that they happened within The Year, and she couldn’t remember the details very well (She had, always, had a terrible memory. Especially if the topic didn’t interest her. She once called a boy ‘The New One.’ for almost two years, because she couldn’t remember his name.). Leaning back in her chair, she tapped her lip with her mechanical pencil (Purple!) and hummed, decided that should be enough. The Butterfly Effect would probably change, at least some of it and to start listing things that had changed and the possible consequences of these events.

Okay, what was the first thing that changed? Uhm… I talked back to Bakugo! At the slime attack! I told him, I’d leave him to die! Unknown backlash, I’ve been avoiding him.

Then, Homeschool, telling Mama about One for All, and seeing The Family Photo of Dad for One. Extra free time and Confirmed Theory, otherwise, unknown consequences.

Recovery Girl approved training plan. She wonders if she can use Blackwhip like a Ribbon for Aerial Silk Gymnastics/Dancing?

Meeting Shouto and Hitoshi before UA. Shouto using his fire earlier (and having Black Hair.) and Hitoshi in 1-A. Other changes, unknown.

Saving Ochako with Neito and introducing them to Shouto and Hitoshi. Oh, and playing along with Mr. Mic. He was always one of my favorites. So far only positive (?) consequences, for her, at least.

Meeting The Vestiges and gaining control of One for All’s other powers. Unknown consequences. More powerful, but more to learn at once. So, it could go either way.

First Place in Entrance Exam. Bad. Very Bad. Kacchan target and Sports Festival speech.

Befriending Neito, Shouto, Hitoshi and Ochako. Good. Possible connections with 1-B? Ask Neito. Mess with Endeavor. Use the power of conspiracy theorists against Dabi.

Met Mirio. Cool. I wanna meet Tamaki, maybe we can meet before Canon did! Oh, or we can ask Kiri, if he does the same Internship!

Oh, yeah. I should start making a map of UA or I'm just going to keep getting lost. I’ll start tomorrow.

Better control, better score. Infinity… Tomura’s not gonna get the chance to kill me, Kacchan or Super-Anxiety is going to finish me off.

She was pretty sure that was everything, she put her pencil down and looked at the list. Everything looked right. If anything changes or she remembers anything, else, she’ll write it down later.

She looked at her pink alarm clock (She was lucky enough to find one that looked almost exactly like her old one.). The rainbow digits showing it was almost time for her to go to bed. After all, she had her first battle class tomorrow and unfortunately she couldn’t avoid Kacchan forever. At least, she’ll get to see her and the others’ Hero Outfits in real life.
