Chapter Text

In the bustling halls of U.A. High School, Monoma Neito stood at the entrance of Class B, eyeing the vibrant energy of his classmates. Their laughter echoed around him, but he felt detached, as if he were an outsider looking in. Monoma, with his sharp tongue and competitive spirit, often put on a brave face, but inside, he wrestled with feelings of inadequacy. He gazed toward the door that led to Class A, where his rivals resided. “What do they have that I don’t?” he muttered under his breath, bitterness lacing his words. Monoma had always been the one to mimic others, using his Copy quirk to mirror the abilities of his classmates, yet the thought of facing the likes of Bakugo or Midoriya filled him with dread. “Hey, Monoma!” Kendou Itsuka called out, breaking his reverie. Her warmth radiated as she approached, her smile a beacon of support. “You ready for today’s training?” “Of course,” he replied, forcing a grin. “Not that I need your encouragement.” But deep down, he appreciated her presence. Kendou had a way of making him feel valued, reminding him that he wasn’t alone in this competitive world. As they gathered for training, Monoma’s mind drifted to his past—a childhood filled with pressure and expectations.
