   Summary

   All Pearl could do was stand there, looking at the floor with her shoulders raised in a tense, and shameful display. Her lawyer beside her, dressed in a fancy black blouse and thick horn-rimmed glasses had sighed, something akin to relief at the words of the judge.

   But it was still far from good news.

   "—guilty, for Involentary Manslaughter," her mind repeats, the judges voice booming and filling her with dread.
   "—one year in the Inkopolis City Correctional Facility,"

   One year. That's it. Three hundred and sixty five days. She could handle that, right?
