Chapter Text
In-ho found himself in another nightmare tonight. He twisted and turned in his bed, his forehead sweating like he had a fever. Gi-hun was grabbing In-ho by the neck with a strong grip. He felt the air leaving his body, his lungs desperately trying to breath. His eyes felt like they were about to pop out. He struggled, trying to get Gi-hun off of him. "You're the reason why everyone is dead. You never deserved to make it this far." Gi-hun screamed, his grip only tightening. As everything went dark, In-ho awoke from the nightmare. His body sitting up quickly, sweat trickling down his face. His breathing was heavy, and eyes were wide. His heart felt inches away from popping out of his heart. He felt around on his neck, carefully massaging the area he could have sworn Gi-hun had a grip on. "Just a dream." He muttered, straightening his posture and getting out of bed.
He grabbed his phone and checked the time; it was around 2 O' clock in the morning. He headed over to the bathroom, washing his face with cool water. His hair slightly got soaked by the water, dripping into the sink. His hands had a tight grip around the edges of the sink as he stared himself down in the mirror. He had no time for regrets. No time to think about the past. To think about Gi-hun. His every detail that made him him. In-ho had a job to do that was more important than others. Than him.
Gi-hun came in the bathroom, his body phasing through the wall. In-ho's head snapped the man. "At least knock." Gi-hun's eyebrows furrowed. "I can't?" He exits the bathroom once more. Leaving In-ho alone to himself once more. In-ho freshened himself up and headed out, greeting Gi-hun with a casual nod. His eyes averted away from the man, not wanting to look at him no longer. "So, what's your plans for today?" Gi-hun asked as if it wasn't still night-time for In-ho. In-ho shrugged. His eyes wandering around the room. Right now, he couldn't even bare to look over to Gi-hun. His nightmare still flashing and the feeling of being choked still there vaguely. "Come on, at least look at me when you reply." Gi-hun floated over to the man. He set his hands on In-ho's shoulders, passing through slightly.
In-ho could feel the cold air his spirit gave off. He flinched, walk further away from Gi-hun. "I'm tired." He said, looking over to the clock. "It is only 2:30." Gi-hun nodded, understanding. He almost forgot what it was like to feel exhaustion. He almost forgot that humans, alive ones, need to sleep in order to stay alive. "You go get your sleep." The room was filled with a tense silence. The two man stood still and stayed quiet. Time seemed to not tick by, as if everything was frozen in place. "Goodnight, In-ho." Gi-hun waved cautiously. In-ho lets out a breath he had no idea he was holding in. "Goodnight." He raced off to his room right after speaking.
He couldn't sleep at all. He couldn't not with Gi-hun and that dream on his mind. It was driving him insane, just thinking about it. He finally relaxed enough to rest himself on a plush chair in his room. He closed his eyes, his moment was then ruined by his phone buzzing loudly. He grabbed it and started to read the message. Little did he know, Gi-hun stood behind him. Watching carefully and reading as quick as he could. It was plans about the games. As In-ho sent a reply back, he heard Gi-hun's voice. "What is that about?" In-ho turned off his phone and his head snapped towards Gi-hun's. He instantly averted his eyes. "It's nothing."
"What do you mean by: 'It's nothing?' It's clearly something. What are you hiding?" Gi-hun came closer to In-ho. In-ho was breaking down mentally. His eyes stared down to his lap. "Look at me!" GI-hun demanded. "Why aren't you looking at me?" In-ho didn't reply. His hands griped tightly on the chair. His throat was tight, even if he wanted to speak, he really couldn't. He was caught in his lies, he supposes. "Tell me everything. I want to know." Gi-hun was trying every position to make sure his ghostly figure was in In-ho's gaze. Although, In-ho kepts moving his eyes and head. He couldn't bare it anymore. "Look at me!" Gi-hun demanded once-more, his voice rising.
