~~~Hector thought of his love, before, as some sort of pure, rosey thing. It was deep, and real of course, and hadn’t been replaced or altered, but alongside it now there was this other beast. Something dark that was rending open slowly, cavernous and hungry and not pure in any means. Some sort of twisted sibling to the pure love he felt before was now burrowing inside him, making his skin tingle and his throat dry.
