Summary
The usual patients Jimin had helped from this area of the city were all large, tall, and broad men, with bodies broken in every sense of the word, and an almost monstrous appearance that intimidated even the most professional in the hospital. Now, however, the puppy face that stared back at her held no trace of monstrosity. Jimin immediately noticed that the injuries weren't as serious as she'd thought, and also that the girl didn't seem the least bit scared. Instead, she grimaced in annoyance at Jimin's white uniform.
"Are you the doctor?" The voice that comes from between her swollen lips is low and hoarse, as she looks up with effort. "Don't tell me they carried you off a padded stretcher to come to this dump."
"Yes." Jimin isn't fazed by the mocking tone in the woman's voice. "And you don't look so good."
"You're not a prize yourself, Doc."
