Chapter Text
Jackie violently turned around—her eyes overflowed with tears “i dont even know who you are anymore” she said while looking away—she couldn’t bare looking Shauna in her eyes—she stifled
Shauna felt bad for a split second—it was like looking at prey at its last seconds alive, but she doubled down.
She knew she had won, but this was just a low blow—and she knew that.
“Or maybe you never did.”
or maybe you never did.
That same response echoed through jackies mind—it stinged everytime she replayed the words.
Jackies ears rang after she heard that—she stumbled back hearing that.
She then proceeded to slam the door on her way out.
Shauna’s eyes watering—how could she say that to jackie? Her bestfriend.
She starts holding back her tears with a knot inside her throat—as she quickly marches her way to the attic and stays there.
—
A few moments pass and eventually everything has calmed down,
Everybody’s thinking about it but everyone’s just silent.
They hadn’t thought to talk about it because—they thought it would make it real.
Meanwhile, Shauna’s already in her makeshift bed—just thinking about the argument, was she too cruel?
The thought kept her up all night, she shifted to her sides as the hours passed—hoping Jackie got up and just ..went inside.
She thought about Jackie..sweet Jackie—The way she would sleep beside her every night—sometimes even cuddle with Shauna to help her sleep, the way Jackie rubbed her thumb softly on Shauna’s hand as she would drift to sleep.
She thought about all the times that Jackie had done her makeup—because according to her she was “useless in-front of a mirror”.
“God shipman, you are so useless in-front of a mirror” jackie said as she stood there admiring the makeup shauna had tried to do—the red blush she applied too much of,The lipstick shade that was to light for her,The messily applied mascara that had gotten on her eyelids.
Even though Shauna looked—ridiculous,Jackie still thought she looked beautiful, she admired Shauna, as if she was memorizing her face.
She memorized her big brown eyes—the way they would look at her made her breath dysfunction. She could spot her eyes in a sea on basic looking ones.
“Hold on, I’ll do your makeup just let me get some wipes.” Jackie said with a smile on her face as she went outside her room to get her wipes—Shauna looked in the mirror with a pathetic smile on her face, the truth was she did look bad with the makeup she did.
“Okay shipman, ready for your makeup?” Jackie said while wiping the makeup Shauna had already had on—she subconsciously would get so close to Shauna—that Shauna was pretty sure Jackie could hear her heartbeat.
Shauna looked into Jackie’s eyes with her own big brown brown ones—hoping that jackie would also look at her the way shauna would.
And there was this moment where Jackie did look into her eyes—she had paused doing Shauna’s makeup subconsciously
Jackies heart fluttered—what was this feeling?
Their eyes had meet—and their bodies filled with butterflies
Jackie and Shauna shared this romantic moment—something that finally belonged to Shauna.
Shauna in her makeshift bed—smiled at the memory of her and jackie, that for a second she had actually forgotten about their fight.
She then thought that she would never ever forgive herself if jackie wasn’t okay—because if Jackie wasn’t okay, then she couldn’t be okay.
She then had a gut feeling to check up on jackie—so she got up.
She felt the cold hard wood on her bare feet—freezing cold, then wondered how bad it had been for jackie outside
She put on her sneakers as fast as she possibly could’ve—her mind was filled with
Millions of thoughts
As soon as her shoes were on she quickly ran to the hatch and climbed down the ladder—on her tiptoes trying not to wake everyone up.
As soon as she reached the front door she quickly ran to jackie.
She had noticed snow was falling.
What if she hadn’t gotten there on time?
