Stenny One-Shot

Chapter 4: confession

Summary:

Basically, Kenny confesses his feelings to Stan, that's all.

Chapter Text

This was one of those days that changes a life. Kenny felt it was the perfect moment to open his heart and confess his feelings to Stan. He was sure the attraction was mutual, so he decided that today would be the day. He'd left nothing to chance. He had prepared a special surprise that included a box of chocolates, a balloon with a clear message: “Will you be my boyfriend?”, and some details about Stan's favorite band, which gave it a very personal touch. Although he felt it might be a bit over the top, he wanted it to be a meaningful gesture. To pay for everything, he'd had to work extra hours at Tweek Bro's Coffee, but every minute and every effort were worth it if the result was seeing Stan smile.

Nerves took over, even though their date wasn't at the agreed-upon time yet. They had planned to meet at the lake they often went to, a place with shared memories. With the help of his friends, Kyle and Butters, he had managed to decorate the place that morning to make it even more special. While getting ready, he received a notification from Stan, who let him know he was on his way. Kenny, wanting to get there first, hurried. He put the gifts in a carefully decorated box and left home almost running, as he lived on the other side of the lake.

When he arrived, he noticed that Stan hadn't appeared yet, so he took the opportunity to make the final adjustments. Just as he was finishing, he heard footsteps approaching. It was Stan.

“Hey, Stan,” his voice sounded a bit shaky, but it was almost impossible to stay calm. Stan was standing there, looking more adorable than ever.

“Hey, Ken. What's all this? It looks amazing,” Stan replied, looking around. Kenny wondered if Stan didn't realize, since the meaning of everything seemed quite obvious.

“Well, I invited you here because… I don't know if you've noticed, but I like you a lot. I love your face and your eyes. Honestly, I think they're the most beautiful thing I've ever seen,” Kenny said, taking a deep breath. “I've known you for years, but a few months ago I realized that what I felt for you was more than just friendship. And even if it sounds a bit bold, by the way you act when we're together, I think you like me too.”

Stan was completely surprised, with his mouth slightly open and a visible blush on his cheeks. “I… well, you're not wrong. The truth is, I like you too, and a lot. I wasn't expecting this, but I'm so happy to know you feel the same way I do. It's such a sweet gesture that you put in so much effort, I really appreciate it,” Stan confessed, with a palpable emotion in his voice. It was clear that, just like Kenny, he was very nervous. It was only natural; the person he liked felt the same way about him.

“I brought you a few things. You know, I'm a hopeless romantic,” Kenny said with a smile, as he took out the box with the chocolates and other gifts, and handed him the balloon.

“You're too sweet,” Stan murmured with a sincere smile. It seemed like that magical and sincere moment was the beginning of something very special between the two of them.
