Summary
Muscle obscures his vision as a wall of it shifts to block him. Jason purposefully drags his eyes from the gun at his hip to his stern immovable face. “Jinx?” the bouncer grunts.
“That’s me,” Jason chirps, just breathy and ditzy enough to not come across as performative.
Jinx. A person or thing that brings bad luck. Jason’s idea of an inside joke, one that these meatheads will never catch wise to.
The bouncer waits several stretching moments, just trying to up the intimidation factor.
