Work Text:

The Strawhats were strange in many ways, Robin thought.

Luffy was no typical captain, so young and starry-eyed. Zoro and Sanji fought like children. Despite their strength, Nami ended their quarrels with one punch.

Chopper was a reindeer.

But the strangest thing was the trees on the Merry. Tangerine trees, carefully transplanted in rows on the deck. During Alabasta, Robin had other things on her mind. By Enies Lobby, it seemed too late to ask.

But seeing the boys act extra careful around the trees and the bright smile on Nami’s face was enough for Robin.

That's all she needed.

Notes:

I can't believe I didnt mention Usopp. I love Usopp. My justification is that he's not as much of a freak as the others. I do love him so so dearly. I may have to write something Usopp-centric to make up for this transgression.
