Law stared and stared ahead blankly sitting on the edge of his bed as he continuously scanned himself with his room. He kept thinking he had to be imagining it and maybe if he just checked one more time then this wouldn’t be happening to him. After a while of this he took a deep breath realizing he could no longer live in denial, he had to accept the reality of the situation: He was pregnant.

He cursed himself for being so weak as to share his heat after Dressrosa with Luffy. He knew it was a mistake then but he had just defeated Doflamingo and saved Law from the man and there was truly nothing hotter than watching the alpha punch Doflamingo in the face. 

He sighed again, flopping back down onto the bed. He needed to decide what he wanted to do about this. It should be an easy decision, he was a pirate, a very wanted one at that, raising a kid would be a foolish decision and Law was not a fool. He could easily get rid of the little cluster of cells, it would truly be nothing at all with his powers. He flexed to open a room but it didn’t last very long before it sputtered right out.

There was something in him that was holding him back. Despite all the cons of the situation there was one thing that kept popping into his mind: Lami. He couldn’t get his little sister out of his head. She had died so young along with the rest of his family, never getting a chance to live. Could he really snuff out the light of his only family? Sure it wasn’t much more than some cells now but soon…

Law started to picture himself with a child, caring for it, playing with it, raising it. As a male omega the thought had always been a horrible one to him. So many alphas just wanted him to submit and accept his place to do just that. He had fought against the idea for so long and yet here he was actually wanting that. Maybe it was just his hormones but the more he was thinking about it the less he wanted to get rid of it.

Then his thoughts wandered to Luffy again. He would have to tell him, maybe he would make him feel better about this whole thing. He always had this weird way of lifting Law’s spirits with that wide smile and wild carefree laughter. He also felt like he needed to tell someone or he would explode.

Without giving himself time to second guess his decision he got up leaving the Tang and going to search out Luffy. It wasn’t hard to find him, the other captain had such a big and loud presence after all. When he did find him he was on the deck of the Sunny shoving his face with some sort of food, Law wasn’t really paying attention to what.

“Hey Strawhat-ya, I need to talk to you!”

Luffy perked up immediately the way he always did when Law was around. “Hey Torao!!!” He got up quickly, shoving the last of the food into his mouth before jumping down by Law. He leaned in closer to Law taking a big breath. “Mmmm Torao you smell good today!”

Law blushed at the compliment hoping that the other was too inexperienced to know exactly what that smell meant. “Can we go talk somewhere private for a moment?”

Luffy just grinned at the omega. “Sure we can.” Law rolled his eyes, he could tell what Luffy was thinking but this was not going to be one of those times. The two of them walked down the beach until Law was satisfied with the amount of distance they had put between themselves and other people.

“Sooo what did Torao want to talk about?” Luffy asked, leaning in closer.

Law just took a deep breath. “I wanted to talk to you about… uh well- about babies.” He studied him intently with his eyes trying to gauge his reaction.

“Huh babies? Is this some weird foreplay like what Sanji was talking about?” Law didn’t have time to digest that sentence so instead he moved on.

“No I… I wanted to know what you would think if I… if I told you I was pregnant?” Law tried so hard to tell him but this was the closest way he could, not brave enough to blurt it out.

“Uhhh well that would be bad.” Luffy said carelessly and Law froze for a moment. “But I mean you could just get rid of it right? With your fruit thingy?” Every word was feeling like a dagger in Law’s heart. He really would just want Law to get rid of it?

“But surely you… I mean you might want someone to carry on your legacy or to have a family?” He tried again.

Luffy tilted his head looking at him funny. “I don’t care about any of that stuff. A kid just sounds like they would get in the way. I want to go explore and have adventures. I wouldn't want to take care of a baby. Who would want that?” Law felt the dagger twisting more in his gut. Luffy looked back to the ship where it looked like Sanji had made desert. 

“So if I was pregnant then…” he couldn’t get out the rest of the words, they felt like sand in his mouth. He hadn’t thought this conversation would go like this. Every time Luffy spoke, Law could feel his heart breaking just a little bit more. He didn't think this would hurt so bad, that Luffy could hurt him so badly. Why was this hurting him so badly?

“You could just get rid of it right? Why are you even asking this?” Luffy tilted his head in confusion. “This is a weird game, can I go back to eat?”

Law just nodded not thinking that he could say anything else. Luffy looked at him one more time before bounding off back to his ship. He just stood there with his back turned to everyone trying his best to get a grasp on himself. He needed to calm down, he needed to think straight. It didn’t matter if his heart was torn in two, he was a captain and a strong omega.

Law balled up his hands into fists, digging his fingernails as hard as he could into his skin. Maybe the physical pain could distract him from what he was feeling inside. 

He took some deep breaths trying to calm down and reign in his scent. He felt his eyes start to water but he did his best to push that down too. He needed to get away from everything. He needed to get off of this island and run, run away from Luffy, his problems, the world. He just needed to escape, everything felt so suffocating.

Law opened a large room, teleporting himself back into his quarters. The last thing he wanted was for anyone to see him like this. He sat down on his bed and tried his best to control his breathing. In and out in and out.

He couldn’t do this all on his own? How could he do this all on his own? He was going to have to do this all on his own. 

Screw Luffy, he could go off and leave Law behind just like everyone else, it didn’t matter anymore. There was only one thing that mattered now, and Law was going to make sure that his child was okay. That it didn’t grow up like Law had, he wasn’t going to let them become something unwanted.

He stood up composing himself and going out the door. Thankfully he didn’t get too far before he found Bepo. 

“Bepo.” The mink jumped a little bit, Law must have surprised him.

“Yes Captain?” He asked confused, looking at him with his cute round eyes.

“I want to leave immediately.”

“Uhh are you sure? Weren’t we going to leave in a few hours with Lu-”

“I want to go now.” Law said firmly, causing his friend to flinch. He felt bad but there would be time to apologize later, right now he just needed to get away.

“Uhhhh Okay we-yes-sorry- I will get right on that.” He could see the concern in his friend's gaze but he didn’t ask any questions, instead he turned around and started to gather the crew and follow his captain's orders. 

Law went back to his room locking the door and laid down on the bed, burrowing himself deep into his nest. He hated the idea of calling it that, not wanting to seem weak, but there was really nothing else to call this pile of blankets, pillows, and a few stuffed animals his crew had gotten him that he just didn’t have the heart to throw away.

It would be fine, they would get away from here and everything would be fine.

Luffy stood on the deck of the Sunny watching with curiosity as Bepo came out to talk to the crew. They all seemed in a hurry and packed up the ship much faster than they had been before. It looked like they were about to leave but he had thought they were going to leave together later today?

He kept looking over at the Tang hoping to see Torao. He would miss him most of all, he didn't understand it but there was just something about him that made Luffy not want to let him go. He had been having so much fun going on adventures with Torao and he didn’t want it to end! He was a pirate afterall, was it so wrong to want to keep him all to himself?

When everything was packed up he saw the mink go to close the hatch and he knew he had to say something.

“Hey Bear, wait!” Luffy sling shot himself over to the top of the sub. “Are you guys leaving? I want to say goodbye to Torao!”

The bear looked a bit panicked. “I -uh don’t think he wants that right now, sorry.”

Luffy just tilted his head in confusion. Why was Torao avoiding him? Everything had been going so great with them! They had shared Torao’s heat and even a passionate night in Wano together, Luffy didn’t understand why Law was refusing to see him now.

“But I want to see Torao?” Luffy pouted. It wasn’t fair, the other couldn’t just disappear after that.

“Did something happen?” The bear asked him before looking panicked. “Sorry I uh should be asking but-La-uh the captain seemed really upset earlier and it seems like he doesn't want to see you so I just didn’t know if something happened or… sorry.”

Luffy tilted his head trying to think. Did something happen with Torao? “No we didn’t fight or anything, he came to talk to me earlier about some weird stuff but then I wanted to eat so I ended up leaving.” Did he say something to make him mad?

“Uh what kind of stuff?” The bear asked gently.

“I don’t know, something about babies.” The bear gasped, his eyes widening and he started to look back down into the Tang.

“We have to uh go now-yeah so you need to leave, sorry.” Luffy was so confused at the change in energy. Was bringing up babies really such a big deal? Maybe he should talk to Nami or Sanji about it later?

“Uh okay well tell Torao I said bye!” He waved to him before jumping back over to the Sunny, kind of bummed he didn’t get to say goodbye to Torao. He wanted to smell him one more time, especially since he was smelling extra good this morning. He shrugged, oh well, he would probably see him again soon.

Law laid in his room huddled under as many blankets as he could staring into the darkness. He wished sometimes he could turn his brain off because right now he was in full on panic mode. Not only that but after his conversation with Luffy he felt so… rejected and unwanted. Those were not things he thought that alpha was capable of making him feel. 

He sighed again wishing he could just bang his head against the wall but having enough self preservation not to. Still the idea was becoming more and more appealing as he was spiraling down into his dark thoughts.

He was pulled from his spiral when he heard the door open. “Captain?” A hesitant voice called. Law recognized it as Bepo right away, he must have been worried after their interaction earlier.

“I am fine Bepo, go away.” He ordered though he didn’t hear the mink retreat.

“Captain, Law, do you want to talk about it?” He pushed on shuffling slightly closer to the nest.

“There is nothing to talk about.” Law insisted stubbornly to his oldest friend. The mink just stood there in silence for a moment before taking another tentative step forward.

“Luffy came over to say goodbye before we left.”

“Good for him.” Law didn’t care what Luffy did, he could do whatever he wanted and it wasn’t Law’s problem anymore.

He heard the mink take a deep breath. “Law I can… smell it on you, sorry.”

This made Law tense up immediately. Of course being a mink he would be able to smell it. His crew, besides Bepo as minks didn’t present that way, were all betas. He had been counting on being able to hide it from everyone until it wasn’t possible anymore but he should have known better than to think he could trick Bepo’s nose.

Reluctantly he left his cocoon burrowing out so just his head was free. He saw his friend nervously rubbing his paws together looking at Law. Sighing at the sight, and always having a soft spot for the Mink, Law fully emerged patting the spot beside him on the bed.

They were both quiet for a while before Bepo spoke again. “Are you okay?”

Law just laughed, cold and empty. “No, I am not.”

“So I take it whatever you said to Luffy didn’t go well?”

Law laughed again trying to keep the laughter from turning to tears. “That would be an understatement.”

“So what are you going to do?” he felt his warm paws on him and it started to make Law feel just a bit better. 

“I want to keep it… I know that's dumb and I will have to raise it alone but-”

“Law you won't be alone!” Bepo protested moving to get in front of Law looking at him expectantly. “You have us! We are all in this together.”

It was probably kind of stupid but Law hadn’t really considered that his crew would help before now. He had been so focused on Luffy’s rejection and panic of doing this without an alpha that he hadn’t thought about it.

“Do you think they would want to?” He asked his mind mulling over this new option.

“I think they would be more than excited. I mean Shahi and Penguin are basically still kids themselves.”

Law chuckled at that then took a deep breath and leaned into Bepo’s side. Maybe everything would be okay after all?

Everything was not okay, the Tang was sunk to the bottom of the ocean, his crew lay on the shore defeated, and Blackbeard was currently standing over him grinning widely.

“Who would have thought that the feared Surgeon of Death was an omega this whole time, zehaha?!” He took another step to where Law lay defeated on the ground glaring up at him.

“I was just going to kill you for your fruit but this just got more interesting, I think I will take you with me for now.” The last thing Law saw was that horrible smile before he was surrounded in a dark void. He just had to hope that while Blackbeard was busy focusing on him he would leave the rest of his crew alone.

Luffy just had this bad feeling before they got to Egghead, he didn't think it had anything to do with the island itself, that seemed like it was going to be a lot of fun! No, something else was wrong. He suddenly felt the urge to go find Torao but he shook off that feeling. No point in focusing on it now, he had a new island to explore! Hopefully they had meat!

Law slowly opened his eyes, though his vision was a bit blurry. He was trying to focus on what was around him but it was taking him a bit longer than usual. When he got his bearings he realized he was in a room, not one he recognized either. He was laying on some strangers bed in seastone cuffs, something he did not like the implications of. He went to get off of the bed, maybe he could do something to escape while he was alone in the room, but as he tried to get up he felt a tug and realized that he wasn’t just in cuffs, they were attached by a chain to the wall. There were a few feet that he could walk away from the bed before the chain was pulled taunt, but that was it. 

He tried his best to push down his panic but chaining someone to a literal bed could only have so many implications. He pulled on the chain even going over to the wall to see where it was bolted in. Maybe if he could find something he could loosen the screws?

He jumped back as the door flung open and the person Law least wanted to see walked in. “Zehaha good to see you awake omega.” Law turned bearing his fangs at the emperor. “Think you're going to intimidate me with that? Zehaha!”

He took a few steps closer but Law stood his ground. “Really chaining me to your bed, how original.”

The disgusting alpha in front of him just smirked. “Oh I think it's rather fitting actually. Shows you exactly what your place is.” 

Law felt a chill go down his spine at those words but he did his best to keep his mask firmly in pace. “If you think I would ever submit to you, you have another thing coming.”

He didn’t seem to mind the threat at all, instead stepping closer to Law. “Don’t worry I like my omegas to put up a bit of a fight, it's more fun that way.”

Law stood tall as the man closed the distance between them leering down at Law like he was some sort of prize he had just won. He tried not to vomit as he felt the mans hands reach up and touch his sides. He was strong and he could get through this!

Law laid in his captors bed staring at the wall. Blackbeard had thankfully left him alone after he had finished with him, it was the only kind thing that man had done and Law was sure it had not been intentional.

His body was sore, the alpha had certainly not been gentle with him. Law had fought back at first but he was afraid for the baby so he stopped after the first few ‘punishments’ Blackbeard had given him. He wished more than anything he could use his fruit to heal himself and check up on everything. He just hoped that this baby would survive, it seemed the alpha hadn’t realized he was pregnant yet. With any luck he wouldn't for a while and with some more luck he might think the kid was his. He worried about what might happen to him or the baby when Blackbeard found out he was pregnant. That weird sickly doctor came to his mind and then was abruptly pushed out. Law didn’t want to think about what weird shit he might do with his devil fruit.

As he stared at the wall he thought of Luffy, he hated himself for it but his mind went there anyway. He had this silly fantasy of the alpha storming in and rescuing him. He knew that wouldn’t happen though, he was sure the alpha didn’t want anything to do with him anymore, not now.

Law wanted to give up, hell everything about this situation seemed pointless but he couldn’t. He had to escape, he had to for his unborn child. He would just have to endure this torture and wait, then once there was a chance he would take it.

A week had passed, or maybe even two? Law wasn’t really sure anymore. There were no windows in the room he was being kept in and the food wasn’t very consistent when it was being brought. Almost as if feeding him was an afterthought. He ate it though, all of it, knowing that he needed whatever nutrients he could get. 

He hadn’t looked at himself in the mirror for awhile but he knew he had to have looked like a mess. He hadn’t showered in days, when he was allowed to it was with Blackbeard. He shuttered to think about it, not much cleaning ever really got done during those times.

Law felt like he was beginning to lose himself, or at least lose what made him himself. He had truly suffered so much in his lifetime and he had held on through all of it. Being here he was alone without any of his crew or any friends at all, and it was getting to him. He wanted to fight, wanted to struggle for the being that was growing inside of him but he didn’t know how much of that struggle he had left in him? How much more could he suffer before there was nothing left?

It wasn’t long after that when they discovered his secret. “He is definitely pregnant, Commodore.” The sickly man said looking down at Law with way too much interest.

“Zehaha you see that! I knocked you up and you weren’t even in heat. Your body knows I am your alpha and your master!” Law just glared back at him but there was nothing else he could really do. “Go get my omega some food will you? And something to drink too, I want our baby to grow strong!”

Blackbeard sat down next to him putting his large hand on Law’s stomach while Law did his best not to flinch away. He had gotten lucky all things considered, maybe if they thought the baby was his they wouldn’t hurt it. 

Law hadn’t expected that he would be treated any differently now and he wasn't in all honestly treated too drastically different. He still slept chained to the bed every night, but Blackbeard kept him a lot closer than he had been. Law hated being paraded around at his side but it was better than being stuck in the room all day. Dispite everything he had been holding onto some small sliver of hope for his escape. Maybe he could get away and hide out on some island where no one would know him? Or maybe Luffy really would come save him from this hell like in his dreams? It wasn’t until he saw the Newscoo that he lost hope for the situation.

‘ EX Warlord Trafalgar Law An Omega?’

Blackbeard has successfully not only defeated the ex-warlord but has claimed him as his omega. A picture captured below clearly shows the chained ex-captain sitting at his side. Rumors had been going around there might be a baby but this is further proof that-

Law stopped reading; he felt his stomach churn at the words he had already read. This was it then, the world knew what he was and he would no longer be safe. He felt something break in him after reading that paper, it was just the final stone on a huge pile causing everything to tumble down. What point was there in struggling anymore? What point was there in escaping? If he did, some other alpha would just try to track him down and try to do the same thing. He would never be free, never again. 

For the first time Law didn’t flinch when he felt Blackbeard's hand on his shoulder. “See that, now the world knows you are my omega.” Law just stared ahead not really seeing anything, his mind felt like static. “I can’t wait to claim you after all this is over. You would look so perfect with my mark on you warming my bed.” he could feel his hot breath on his neck and Law sat there unmoving allowing the other to do what he wanted.

“Uhh Luffy did you um see the paper?” Usopp asked, sounding kind of scared.

“Shishi why would I read the paper? Sounds boring!” Luffy was currently laying on the figure head of the Sunny staring out into the ocean.

“It's uh… well it's about Law.”

Luffy’s attention immediately turned back to his crewmate. “Toaro?” He jumped down, going over to look at what it said. Luffy had been missing Torao a lot in the past few weeks. He was almost on his mind as much as food was. He really hoped that he would get to see the omega again soon but he hadn’t seen or heard anything since Wano. Looking down at the paper Luffy almost couldn’t believe his eyes. 

There was his Torao standing there but next to him was… “Blackbeard.” Luffy growled the name with so much hate. He had hurt Torao?! No he had taken him! Luffy looked back again at the blank look on the omega's face, along with the visible bruises on his body. It made him sick to his stomach for a moment then filled with rage the next. 

If Blackbeard thought he could take something else from Luffy he would show him how wrong he was! Luffy could feel his self control start to slip, parts of his hair were turning white and he could feel the power entering his veins. “Change in plans, we are going to kill Blackbeard!”

His crew stopped what they were doing looking at him shocked, some of them a bit scared. 

Luffy was laughing now, like he always did in his new form, but nothing about this was funny. He knew without a doubt that he would have to save Torao, he would not let Blackbeard take anything else from him.

Law stayed chained in the room where Blackbeard had left him, he could hear fighting outside but he wasn’t listening to it. Either Blackbeard would win and his life would continue to be the same or he would lose and Law would either die or be claimed by some other alpha. Either way he didn’t care, nothing mattered anymore. He lay his hand on his stomach saying a small apology to the being growing inside, Law should have just gotten rid of it when he had the chance. What possible kind of life would they have now? Law had failed them and he had failed himself and his crew. He closed his eyes when he heard the door open, it was time to accept his fate.

“Holy shit Law!” He heard a familiar voice yell. He slowly opened his eyes seeing someone that looked like Usopp. He must have been having one of those dreams again. He thought he was done with those.

“Don’t worry buddy I got you!” the other made his way over to him with some sort of key taking his cuffs off. Law started to feel better once they were off, what a nice dream he was having. “Can you walk?” The sniper asked but Law just ignored him staring down at his hands and the blue bruises on his wrists where the cuffs had been. “Robin I am going to need help getting him back! He is really out of it!”

Just then Law felt hands start to grab him and pull him along. He just closed his eyes, must be a weird part of his dream. “Don’t worry Law, you're safe now.”

Law almost laughed at those words, he would never be safe again. Still it was a nice dream after all so he let himself sink back down into it.

“-be careful. Psychologically we don't know how-”

Law felt himself coming back to consciousness at the sound of a voice. He opened his eyes only to be immediately assaulted by the brightness and had to shut them again. This definitely wasn’t the room he had been being kept in, did Blackbeard move him?

Law tried again to open his eyes, squinting this time at first before taking in the familiar room. Why was his brain making him think he was on the Sunny? He looked next to him and saw a very bandaged Luffy sitting up on the bed talking to Chopper.

“Torao!!!” Luffy yelled in excitement at seeing Law awake.

Law just stared back at him blankly, not sure if this was real and not sure if it mattered anyway. 

“Law you're awake!” The little deer rushed over to him. “I gave you some medication and a lot of nutrients! Your body was really vitamin D deficient which isn't good for you or the umm the baby.” He said the words cautiously though Law didn’t react to any of them. “Other than that a lot of the wounds weren’t too bad though there were some old ones that hadn’t been treated very well. I put you in a medically induced coma for a few days while I hooked you up to an IV-” Law stopped listening, rolling on his back to look up at the ceiling. Maybe he was in a coma now and this was his brain's way of telling him that.

“Torao are you hungry? You should eat! food is really good for you!” Luffy had gotten out of bed ignoring Chopper yelling at him and was leaning over where Law was staring at the ceiling forcing him to look at him. Law didn’t respond just looking at the captain blankly. Luffy frowned for a moment before the smile was back in place. “Food will help! Yeah food has to help!” Then he ran out of the door yelling for Sanji.

“Law…” Chopper said in a small voice. “Can you… hear me?”

Law turned his head to look at the small reindeer, he had found him cute a long time ago. Kind of reminded him of Bepo in some ways, he felt a familiar pain in his heart like he did when he thought of his best friend. A friend that was most likely dead because of him.

“You should have left me to rot.” Is what Law says before turning his gaze away to avoid the worried doctor’s eyes. He feels the other standing there staring at him before he heard him walk across the infirmary and exit.

It was better this way, Law was meant to be alone.

“Sanji make the food faster!!! I need to give it to Torao!!!” Luffy complained, kicking his feet back and forth on the stool.

Sanji leveled a kick at his captain, though he was holding back a good amount considering both of their injuries. “It's almost done you shitty captain.” He complained with no malice behind his words.

Luffy turned as Chopper entered the kitchen with a worried look on his face. “Hey Chopper is Torao going to be okay?”

“Luffy I… I don’t know.” It looked like the little deer was about to cry.

“Woah hey there bro what's wrong?” Franky asked, picking him up.

“Physically he is alright but… I don’t… I don’t think he is okay mentally.”

“Aww come on Chopper he is probably just out of it from waking up.” Luffy tried to laugh it off, he couldn't deal with Torao not being okay, he needed him to be okay.

“Maybe...” Chopper said but he didn’t sound too convinced. That was okay though Luffy always knew how to make Law feel better!

He grabbed some soup from Sanji and made his way back to his Torao. “Hey I got food!!” He said excitedly as he entered. Law didn’t move though, just kept staring up at the ceiling. Luffy sat the bowl down next to him. “Hey Torao you need to eat!”

To Luffy’s relief he sat up slowly and grabbed the bowl, he didn’t eat anything at first just staring at it. “Is this a dream?” He heard him ask quietly. “Never mind, it's not like you would be able to tell me either way.”

Luffy had a weird uncomfortable feeling gnawing at the back of his mind at Law’s words but he tried to ignore it. “Torao, this isn’t a dream.”

Law didn’t say anything else, just continued to stare down at his soup. Normally Luffy was really good at reading the other, even when he was trying to hide his emotions but right now he just seemed blank, empty. He reached out to touch his leg. “Torao?”

Law flinched at the contact dropping his bowl onto the ground, spilling soup all over his legs. Luffy could tell that it was hot but the other just sat there staring at it.

“Torao hey! Snap out of it!” He closed the distance waving his hands in front of Law’s eyes. 

“Why would you come for me?” The question was so quiet he would have missed it if he hadn't been so close.

“Why wouldn’t I!? You're my friend Torao! I care about you!”

“You shouldn’t. You should have just left me there” Luffy didn’t know why but those words stung more than any had before. He couldn't have meant that, there was no way he would have wanted to stay there with that disgusting man!

“I am sorry Law I… I failed you.” He felt a wetness drip onto his hand and he realized that he was crying. Fuck this was not how this was supposed to go, he was supposed to save Law and everything was supposed to be okay. Things were supposed to be normal so they could go on adventures together just like before! He wished right now that he could swim so he could drag Blackbeard back up to the surface and beat him all over again for whatever hell he had put his Torao through.

Law stared back at him blankly, though Luffy thought he could see a flicker of emotion that hadn’t been there before. Maybe he was just imagining what he wanted to see though. “I should have come for you sooner! No, I never should have let you leave! I-I love you Torao! I am sorry I will do anything just please, please come back to me!”

“Luffy-ya…” He said quietly, giving him just a bit of hope.

“I don’t care about what happened! I don’t care if you have Blackbeard's baby, just please come back! Please Law I can’t… I can't do this without you!”

Luffy swore he could see just a bit more of the Law he knew reflected in those golden eyes, it wasn’t much but it was something.

“Its not his.”

“What?” Luffy asked, confused. What was Law even talking about?

“The baby is… it's yours.” Luffy felt his whole world stop for a moment. Torao was pregnant, his Torao was pregnant with his baby? Why didn’t he tell him that before? When did he even find out that… His mind drifted back to their conversation in Wano. FUCK! He was an idiot, everything that happened was all his fault! Why couldn't he have understood back then what Torao had been saying? Maybe if he had none of this would have happened, maybe if he had the two of them would be…

“Fuck.” Was what Luffy said out loud.

“Don’t worry I don’t expect you to be involved just… leave me on an island somewhere.”

Luffy looked up panicked, seeing that blank look back in Law’s eyes. “You are staying here.” Luffy demanded firmly. Did Law really think that Luffy was just going to abandon him? Abandon his child?

“That's unnecessary.”

“It wasn’t an option. You are staying here.” He demanded again.

“You going to force me then? Going to chain me to the bed like Blackbeard?”

Luffy felt sick to his stomach. Is that what happened? That bastard had… had… fuck Luffy was not prepared for this. “No I would never, I just want you to be safe!”

“You want me to be your whore too?”

“Torao stop-”

“You going to hold me down and force me to watch while you-”

“STOP!” Luffy yelled. He hadn’t meant to use his alpha voice like that but he couldn't take it anymore, he didn’t want to listen to Law talk like that about himself.

Law looked at him one last time before laying back down in the bed and turning away from him. “Leave me alone Strawhat. We both know you don’t really want this. Just leave me behind and go on your adventures.”

“Torao that's… that's not what I want.” Luffy did want to go on adventures but more than anything he wanted Torao there with him and… well if there was a baby there that would be okay too. That would kind of be like an adventure itself!

“Please just go.” Luffy reached out wanting to touch his shoulder but he pulled back thinking better of it. He took a few steps towards the door. 

“I will be back, okay Torao?” Law didn’t say anything, he just laid there staring at the wall. Luffy looked at him for another moment before leaving. He wanted to stay but Chopper was right, Torao’s mind was really messed up right now, if he pushed too hard he might just make it worse. Best to give him some space, maybe he could come back with some onigiri later, Torao always really liked those.

Law sat on the deck of the Sunny looking out at the expanding sea. Luffy had dragged him outside after Chopper had talked about his lack of vitamin D. It truly didn’t matter to Law where he was, but it wasn’t like he could put up a fight against Luffy anyway. He might as well just accept his fate of letting another alpha dictate what he was allowed to do. 

Luffy was currently fishing with Usopp across the deck though he kept running over to Law to show off the fish that he would catch. He would simply just nod in acknowledgement then continue to look out over the horizon. He had spent a lot of time trapped in that room on Blackbeard's ship, he missed looking out at the sea. He missed looking at it from below the surface even more, watching the fish and seakings swim past. When Law was having trouble sleeping he would stare out the porthole for hours. He felt that familiar stab of pain thinking about the Tang destroyed at the bottom of the sea somewhere. It wouldn’t do him any good to think about such things now. He had been weak and he had lost everything, even the right to choose his future. He was alone now, he had nothing.

As if sensing his train of thought Luffy came bounding over to him. “Hey Torao, wanna play a game?” Law didn’t even turn his head to look at him, just staring out at the horizon. “Or maybe we could read a book, I mean I can’t really but maybe you could read to me?” 

This did make Law turn towards him, tilting his head slightly in confusion. What an odd request. Luffy seemed to take that as a positive answer and soon he was running off to the library. He thought he might have a moment of quiet but he soon felt a presence next to him. Looking over he was surprised to find Robin sitting there.

“He does want you around you know, the baby too.” Law resisted the urge to roll his eyes and instead just looked at her impassively. “You don’t have to believe it, but it is the truth. He told us about the situation and about Wano.”

“Wonderful.” Law grumbled, though it's not like he really cared that everyone knew. None of it mattered anyway.

“He blames himself, you know?” This did get Law’s attention. “He thinks if he hadn’t been so… obtuse about the situation that he could have prevented what happened with Blackbeard.”

How could Luffy blame himself when it was all clearly Law’s fault? Law was cursed, destined to live a life of pain and sadness. “There is only one person to blame for what happened.”

“You're right, and it's not you either.” Law flinched slightly, he forgot how perceptive this woman could be. “Blackbeard is the only one to blame for what happened.” Law looked away from her not wanting to admit that maybe she had a point. “I know what happened to you was… awful, I can’t even imagine what you had to suffer through, and all of us are here for you if you ever need to talk, Luffy included.” She cautiously put a hand on his shoulder. “Luffy wants to help and more than that he wants to be involved with you and the child. He wants you here, Law, you are not a burden to any of us.”

“Sure.” He bit out sarcastically. How could he believe any of that? He wasn’t even a functioning person anymore, not a captain either. He hadn’t even tried to use his devil fruit since getting the cuffs off, afraid it would reject him too. He was a pregnant useless omega, the definition of a liability. 

“I speak only the truth Law.”

“They are all dead, you know? Because of me. You all will be too if you don't do the smart thing and leave me behind. You can say what you want but I know the truth.”

Robin looked at him for a while before standing up. “I hope you will see the truth before too long. Please try to think about what I said.” Then she walked off, to do what Law didn’t know or care. He didn’t understand why she even tried, she should have just left him alone.

Law had been sleeping in the infirmary since he woke up on the ship, not wanting to be around anyone else. He had always liked the solitude and when he was captured his solitude was the only time he could find any peace. Still, he should have known it wasn’t going to last. One night the door opened revealing a tired and oddly panic Luffy who padded in quietly shutting the door behind him.

“Torao?” He said in a small voice.

“What, Strawhat-ya?”

“I had a… bad dream. Can I please stay here?” He sounded unsure and that was not something Law was used to hearing coming from the alpha.

“Do I have a choice?” Law bit back only causing Luffy to frown more.

“Of course you do Torao.” The two of them continued to stare at each other until Law sighed giving in.

“Fine.” He tried not to let himself be fooled by Luffy’s wide smile. He wouldn't be so foolish as to fall into those types of feelings again.

“Thanks Torao!” Law expected Luffy to just jump into the bed but instead he was careful and cautious as he got under the covers and cuddled up next to him. Then Luffy did something that shocked Law, he put a hand on his stomach as if he was trying to feel the baby there.

“I had a dream something happened to her.” He mumbled, his face now close to Law’s stomach.

“Her?” Law asked, confused. He had never checked the gender of the child and he was pretty sure Chopper hadn’t either.

Luffy nodded against his stomach. “Mhmmm don’t know why but she just feels like a girl.”

Law just laid there frozen not understanding. The way Luffy was talking was almost as if he was fond of it, almost as if he wanted to protect the being growing inside of Law. “You… had a dream about her?”

He felt the other tense then nod. “Yeah a bad one but don’t worry though, I would never let anything happen to her. She is going to be strong and go on adventures with us. Then the three of us can always be together.” Luffy then snuggled his head further onto Law’s belly.

He hesitated to ask what was on his mind but eventually he gave into his curiosity. “That's… something you want?”

“Yes, I want it a whole bunch.” He shifted so he was looking up at Law now, he could see his smile lighting up the darkness.

A part of him really wanted to believe him, wanted so badly for those words to be true but… “Why would you want a used omega?”

He saw the smile disappear and Luffy shifted so he was closer to Law’s face. “Don’t ever say that about yourself again.” His tone was firm, leaving no room for any argument. “Torao is perfect just the way he is! I would never want any other omega.”

“You-you can’t truly mean that?” Law didn’t understand, even after everything this alpha still wanted him? He was a shell of himself, he had lost everything and yet…

“Of course, it's always been you Torao.” He shifted getting closer once more to his face. “Ever since I first saw you at Saboady I knew, well then I just thought hey he is cool I wanna fight next to him more, but now I know that since that moment there has never been any other omega for me.” His hand ran through Law’s hair lovingly, his face now unbearably close to his own. “It's only you Law.”

For the first time in a long time Law felt his heart beat a little faster and a foreign warmth return to his face. This alpha wanted him, all of him. He saw the good and the bad and he still… Giving into his instinct, Law closed the distance, capturing his lips with his own. They stayed like that for a moment. Law would have stayed like that forever if he could. It was the best he had felt in a long time. The need for air arose however and the two of them were forced to separate.

Luffy looked up deeply into Law’s eyes with a look he had never seen on the younger man. “I love you Torao.” 

Law didn’t think he could say it back, not yet, not with everything that had happened but instead he reconnected their lips once more. For now that would be his answer, for now this would have to be good enough.

Law had gotten bigger over these past few weeks and surprisingly his mental state was improving as well. Luffy never left him alone for too long and Law was starting to depend on the other’s presence. Things weren’t seeming so bad recently, though he still felt unbelievable guilt when he thought about his crew. That was something he didn’t think would ever go away, and he accepted that fact.

“Come on Torao!!! I have a surprise!” Luffy was currently dragging him off the ship and into some small town island in the Grandline.

“I can’t go any faster right now. You try walking around with a beach ball in your stomach.” he complained.

Luffy thought about it for a moment before putting his thumb in his mouth and inflating his own belly. Waddling around next to Law. “You're a menace.” He said but he couldn’t stop the small smile that snuck onto his face. He had been doing that a lot more recently.

“Sorry, sorry,” Though he knew the other wasn't in the slightest, “I just am excited to show you the surprise!” He grabbed Law’s hand again pulling him further into the village. “This way!”

He didn’t protest as he let Luffy drag him to whatever thing it was he was sure Law needed to see. He was expecting it to be some sort of festival or weird creature but instead when he rounded the corner he saw…

“B-Bepo?” He couldn’t believe his eyes, his friend was standing there carrying some boxes, but it was no mistaking it.

“LAW!” The mink yelled practically throwing them down and running over to him. It didn’t take too long until he was wrapped in familiar furry arms. Law froze his mind reeling from this new discovery. Bepo was here, he was here and he was alive! He didn’t realize he had been crying until he sucked in a particularly harsh gasp of air.

“How are- what happened to-are you okay?!” Law stuttered out.

Bepo released him, putting Law down in front of him, black eyes looking him over. “Don’t worry about me, are you okay! We have been so worried!”

“We?” Law questioned, wiping his eyes. It was then that he looked past his friend and saw more familiar faces. 

“Hey Captain!” “Law!” “Hey oh my god he is here!” He heard shouts and soon he was surrounded by so many familiar faces. 

He didn’t know what to do or how to react, simply just standing there. He was so overwhelmed with feelings he had not felt in a very long time. He had been convinced for so long that they had all died, that he had caused their deaths. Yet here they were smiling and laughing in front of him, he almost didn’t trust his eyes.

“Am… am I dreaming?” He wondered aloud.

“I think we broke him.” Shachi joked, elbowing Penguin who was standing next to him. They were all in normal clothes and it was kind of weird to see, he had been so used to seeing them in their boiler suits but there was no doubt it was his crew.

Suddenly a curly haired woman pushed through bending down to Law’s stomach. “Oh my god the baby has gotten so big!! Law, look at you!!!” He smiled at Ikkaku’s excitement, he truly had missed them.

“Yeah he is so fat! It's crazy, he has always been skin and bones!” Penguin commented. 

Law rolled his eyes shoving his shoulder against him, but he couldn't bring himself to be annoyed. Not when he never thought this moment would be possible.

“Okay stop crowding Torao now!” Luffy said once more, appearing at his side protectively. Law found himself reaching down and grabbing Luffy’s hand, threading their fingers together as he continued to talk to his crew. Comforted in the warm support of his alpha.

Later that day Law used his devil fruit again for the first time in months and confirmed that they were having a healthy baby girl.

As the two of them laid in their new bed together, Law felt more at peace then he had in a long time. Franky had set up a king sized bed in the captains quarters they had never used. It made sense for the two of them to share it, especially for when the baby came. As for now Law was too big for them to share the infirmary bed like they had been so moving in there was logical. Especially since Luffy insisted on sleeping with him.

As Law laid there he looked at his partner's sleeping face, just studying him wondering how his life had turned out this way. He had been so sure just a few months ago that his life was over, that there was no point to anything anymore. Yet this alpha had dragged him back from the brink, and showed him that life was still worth living, showed him that he was loved. 

Luffy must have sensed his stare because his eyes soon opened. “Torao?” He asked sleepily, moving closer to wrap his arm around Law.

There was one thing that Law had been wanting to say to Luffy for awhile now. One thing that had always been something so hard for him to say but he knew now that he had to. “I love you Luffy-ya.” It was a small quiet admission despite the huge weight that it carried for him.

Luffy to his credit just smiled widely pulling Law even closer to him. “Love you too Torao.” He mumbled sleepily. Feeling satisfied the two of them drifted off into sleep once more, Law didn’t know what the future might hold but he wasn’t scared anymore, not with Luffy by his side.

Two months later their daughter was born. Monkey D Lami was what they named her and she would become a force to be reckoned with, just like her fathers
