Chapter 1: The Multiversal Threat
"The Multiverse is massive compared to the worlds I know, so in the end, does anything we do really matter?"
Sora found himself enjoying the years of the islands with his two best friends. Even sharing the same dream with Riku and Kairi as they ran along the beach shores. They turned to Sora as they smiled at him. He smiled back at them when suddenly he felt like someone was watching them, when he turned to see who, the figure blended into the stars as his eyes were the only thing he saw. All of a sudden, darkness shrouded the islands much to Sora and his friends' horror.
"You're giving me~ Too many things~ Lately~ You're all I need ~ You smiled at me~ and said~"
Much to Sora's horror, he saw Riku turn to Ansem the Seeker of Darkness. Ansem then proceeded to blow Sora and Kairi away. The young teenagers tried to reach out to each other but were blown off to the other worlds.
"'Don't get me wrong I love you~ But does that mean I have to meet your father~?'"
Sora was then caught by Donald and Goofy, each gave Sora reassuring smiles. Sora smiled back at them as he summoned a magic weapon called the Keyblade.
"When we are older you'll understand~ What I meant when I said 'No~ I don't think life is quite that simple~'"
Sora then ran up and struck Ansem down and Ansem faded away into the darkness. The Watcher witnessed these events as Sora, Donald, and Goofy ended up in Castle Oblivion. They opened the doors to see Naminé drawing in her notebook as Marluxia watched her with a smile on his face as he his weapon, a scythe, into his hand as the three junior heroes went into their battle stances.
"When you walk away~ You don't hear me say please~ Oh baby~ Don't go~"
The heroes engaged the villain as Roxas, Axel, and Xion enjoyed their ice cream as they watched the sunset in Twilight Town. Sora and his team came out victorious as Naminé (With Kairi by her side) smiled in gratitude. Sora (With Ventus by his side) smiled back.
"Simple and clean is the way that you're making me feel tonight~ It's hard to let it go~"
The Watcher figure simply looked down as he waved his hand to move forward in time when Sora was surrounded by thirteen figures in similar outfits. Xemnas smirked on this throne. Sora's eyes narrowed in anger when someone placed a hand on his shoulder. He turned to see Riku by his side as he gave him a nod. Together, they took down Xemnas.
"Hold me~ Whatever lies beyond this morning~ Is a little later on~"
Sora turned to see Kairi on the shores of the Destiny Islands. The Princess Of Heart smiled as she waved to him as she held a paopu fruit in her hands. He beamed for joy as he was about to run over to her as the Watcher turned away as if he knew what would happen next. Kairi was stuck down by Master Xehanort and his thirteen darkness much to Sora's horror.
"Regardless of warnings the future doesn't scare me at all~ Nothing's like before~"
Sora glared at Xehanort as he used his Keyblade to summon forth Riku, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Roxas, Axel, and Xion to join the fight. As the Guardians of Light battled the Seekers of Darkness, Sora took on Xehanort himself. He then joined with all his friends as he used his Keyblade to defeat Xehanort for good. With Xehanort defeated, Sora saw Kairi's heart. He made a dash for it as he reached out to her. Once he was close enough, Kairi ran towards him.
"Hold me~ Whatever lies beyond this morning~ Is a little later on~"
Sora and Kairi pulled each other into a hug under Kingdom Hearts's Light as when all of a sudden six stones shot past them pulling them further apart. They desperately tried to reach each other but they were pulled apart.
"Regardless of warnings the future doesn't scare me at all~ Nothing's like before~"
The two lovers seemed broken hearted as they were once again separated and Sora felt like he was failing, deep into the waters again. He finally landed on a watery surface of the Final World, as he looked around his final stop of endless evening sky before slowly turning to daytime...
...as the Watcher made himself visible once more when Sora wasn't looking...
Kingdom Hearts: The New Guardians
Sora had been bored for quite some time now. Boredom was something he never thought he would face again. Not since he received the Keyblade. Since that fateful day on the islands where his dreams would turn into a nightmare. When the Heartless came to his world, since that day, he would come to defend the worlds from the forces of darkness with his trusted friends; Donald and Goofy.
Darkness had taken hold in many villains Sora had faced over the years: Maleficent, Ansem, Pete, Organization XIII, and of course, Master Xehnaort. The fallen Keyblade Master is responsible for so much pain to the worlds and his friends. They had come to clash to clash over the years and it finally came to an end in the form of the Keyblade War. Sora and the Seven Guardians of Light clashed with Xehanort's Thirteen Seekers of Darkness in the Keyblade Graveyard.
Despite the odds being against them, Sora and his friends emerged victorious. Xehanort had been defeated for good and once again, Kingdom Hearts had been sealed away. However, this victory came at a cost. Xehanort had struck down Kairi, the girl he cared for the most, and he was powerless to stop it.
There was still a chance to save her though. Using the Power of Waking, Sora traveled to the past, collected all the fragments of the Princess's heart, and restored her to the Realm of Light. He was warned that there was a price to pay for misusing the power, but to him, it was worth it. So long as she wasn't alone for any for a second longer. As long as she was back with the rest of their friends then she would be okay. Also, he didn't have to sell his soul, so that was another point in the positives.
The downside is that he was stuck here, and he's been slowly losing his powers. Not to mention a video game character tried to kill him recently. Thankfully, he just had enough strength to pull through and overcome the battle. Sadly, he was back to square one so if he had encountered Yozora again, he was probably screwed. Still… it was the most interaction he had with another person in weeks. He was tired, hungry… and more to the point… BORED!
He had been so lonely without any of his friends… heck! He'd take enemies at this point. He wished he had someone he could talk to… someone who could talk back. Sora groaned as he lied on the water-like ground, "Ugh! There's gotta be a way out of here!"
He had searched heads and tails all over this world for an exit of some kind. A way back to his friends. He made a promise that he'd be back before they knew it but at this point, he wasn't quite sure he could keep that promise. At this rate, it would take a year before he found a way or vice-versa.
He sighed, "Riku. Kairi. Donald. Goofy. I swear… I'll find a way out." He then lightly chuckled, "Yeah, it's not like this world can go on indefinitely."
"...actually, it can."
Sora blinked at that. He looked around. The place still seemed to be devoided of life. He shook his head, "Man, I must really be losing it. I'm starting to hear voices."
"You're not going crazy," A giant-headed bald man with glowing eyes looked down at the teen. Sora yelped in shock. Hoped to his feet and summoned his Kingdom Key Keyblade as he stood in front of the newcomer. Now completely seeing the being in blue ropes, he greeted, "Greetings, Sora. Chosen Weilder of the Keyblade. Guardian of Light. Savior of your Universe. I am the-"
"Who are you?!" Sora exclaimed cutting him off the newcomer, "What do you want?!"
"..." The bald man blinked, "I was getting to that." He then turned to the Keyblade, "Would you put your Keyblade away? I'm not going to attack you. I have this whole thing I was going to say to you."
After staring another moment, he dismissed his Keyblade as he rubbed the back of his head, "Sorry… the last guy I ran into here tried to attack me saying he was here to-"
"Save you, yes, I know about that. I saw that," The being nodded in understanding.
"Wait, you were there?" The spiky-haired teen blinked in disbelief. He then asked, "Then why didn't you do something to stop him?!"
"I was getting to that too," The newcomer stated, "Now if I could continue. Please the fate of all reality is at stake."
"Sorry," Sora quickly apologized before gesturing to him, "You can continue."
"Thank you," He nodded before clearing his throat as he took things from the top, "I am the Watcher. Since the dawn of time, to the first Keyblade War, I have watched and observed all that transpires across the Multiverse." Sora lifted his hand as the Watcher sighed, "Yes, I said multiverse as in multiple universes." Lowering his hand, the Watcher continued as he waved his hand as he saw images across multiple timelines, some people he knew well and many he never met. Monsters both familiar and unfamiliar as the newcomer continued, "Space. Time. Reality. It's more than a linear path. It is a prism of endless possibilities. Where a single choice can branch into infinite realities."
"So these are other worlds," Sora muttered as he looked through them seeing one where he was in a school for superheroes, "Other mes?"
"Yes, from alternate timelines," The Watcher answered, "Where you, your friends, and even your enemies made different choices, and as a result, your story differs from the path you walk."
"A single change in perspective can turn enemies into friends." The Watcher pulled one reality where Sora saw himself laying on the beach laughing alongside a teenage Maleficent with wings?! Him and Maleficent friends?! He didn't think that was a possibility in any reality. The Watcher then pulled another prism towards Sora as he saw a man in red armor wielding six colorful yet powerful stones on his gauntlet, "Sacrifice into hope."
"...and I… am… Iron Man," Sora heard the man state before snapping his fingers blinding the prism with light.
The being turned to the teen, "As I've stated, I don't normally interfere as you humans are allowed to make your own choices. Shape your own reality. However, something happened… something that has already affected the multiverse as a whole."
As he stared at one reality of him being discovered by Master Earqus, he turned to the Watcher in shock, "I need your help. Something's happened. Something that could cause the Multiverse to collapse from within and you are the only one who can stop it."
"Me?" Sora gestured to himself.
"Yes, you. Against all odds, you and your friends defeated Xehanort and saved your universe." The Watcher smiled, "And, no pun intended, I believe you are the key to saving the universe. After all, you are the Protector of the Multiverse. Just like the prophecy foretold."
"Really? Like it's written I'm supposed to stop whatever's happening?" Sora brightened up, "That's great! How do I do it?!" He then stopped himself, "Oh, I should probably ask what's happening. To the Multiverse?"
"I will show you," The Watcher told him as he stretched out his hand and pulled a shard of reality towards Sora, and presented it to him. The Keyblade's Chosen's eyes widened as he saw people panicking on the streets, heroes powerless to stop the threat as reality was dying all around him, "Just over a week ago, the heroes of a universe failed to stop a universal threat from destroying their reality. The event was so destructive it tore its universe apart and splintered its neighboring universes, causing them to slowly die without anyone noticing it.*"
Sora's eyes widened in disbelief. Okay, this was worse than he thought. Just then, another image was presented to Sora, "However, these six Infinity Stones somehow managed to survive the destruction of their timeline." The blue stone shined, "Space." Then the green one, "Time." The red one, "Reality." The purple one, "Power." The yellow one, "Mind." Then finally, the orange one, "Soul."
The six stones swirled around, "In many timelines, these six stones were created as a side effect of the birth of their universe. Each one has them. Normally, they only work in their respective timeline…"
"Then what's the problem," Sora wondered as he turned to him, "If they only work in their timeline, then shouldn't they be powerless in the others."
"Normally, yes, but the destruction of that timeline was so grand, they were able to retain their power even after crashing into other universes," The Watcher frowned, "And in these universes, the Stones were able to merge multiple worlds together, creating a new a dangerous timeline across all these realities…" The Watcher then waved his hands as six individuals appeared before Sora, "And even worse, their power has already drawn the attention of six dangerous villains who seek their power for their own gain. I trust you are familiar with some of them…"
Sora's eyes narrowed at the grinning face of Jafar as he gazed upon the Time Stone, Hades with the Soul Stone, and Hans the Reality Stone. He nodded, "Yeah… I know them…" He then turned to the prisms with the Power Stone, Mind Stone, and Space Stone unfamiliar with the man in a red and purple helmet, an elder man in a black robe who was definitely not Xehanort, and a giant muscular purple man gazing upon their respective stones, "...don't know those people though."
"Trust me, these people are on par or even more dangerous than that of Xehanort," The Watcher explained, "And that was before the Stones."
On par or even more dangerous than Xehanort? That didn't sound good. The Watcher continued, "With the death of one universe, and Stones crashing into six others… the worlds of each world have been merged into one hybrid world, creating chaos of all the mayhem. The villains of these worlds took advantage of the situation and took over these new worlds."
"With these Infinity Stones," Sora turned to Watcher with concern. The Watcher gave him a grim nod. The teen tilted his head, "What about the heroes? Other Keyblade Weilders? Surely they could not stand aside to see all of this destruction? I certainly wouldn't."
"Some in these realities put up resistance to these threats," The Watcher waved his hand showing this fact like a battle scared Aqua leading faces both familiar and unfamiliar to Sora against an army of men of white and green armor, "However, unless the Hero of the Multiverse intervenes, they will fail."
"And that's supposed to be me? Huh?" Sora slowly realized.
"Yes, after all you've sacrificed, I must ask of you to dive into the unknown and face this great, dangerous-"
"I'll do it," Sora beamed.
"Uh…" The Watcher blinked in shock, "What?"
"I said, I'll do it," The spiky-haired teenager beamed. He then looked to the Watcher with a serious look, "I've been bored walking her endlessly for weeks. I miss my friends. Maybe these people aren't exactly them… but they're close enough."
"Uh… good! Great," The Watcher slowly smiled before muttering to himself, "I thought it would've taken a lot more convincing." He shook his head, "But I should've expected as much from the Hero of the Mulit-"
"Quick question though," Sora cut him off, "How am I supposed to get there? Other worlds are one thing, but other universes… might be a bit out of my reach. Especially, since I'm trapped here, slowly losing my powers."
"Oh, I thought ahead," The Watcher said as a mist of ice started to form. From the mist walked in a face all too familiar to Sora.
Sora's eyes widened to see Elsa from Arendelle, now wearing a beautiful white dress with her hair down and barefoot with a book in her arms, "Alright, Watcher, I'm here. I have it."
"Elsa? Is that you?" Sora blinked, alerting the Queen of Arendelle to his presence. She blinked dumbfoundedly, as he beamed, "It's so good to see you again. Is that a new ice dress? It's nice! How have you been-"
Watcher cleared his throat, getting Sora's attention, he whispered, "Different Elsa…"
"Oh… right… multiverse…" Sora slowly nodded in realization.
"Wait... aren't you..." Elsa blinked as her eyes narrowed, before turning to the Watcher, "Is he a variant of who that thinks it is?" She glanced around as if looking for someone else before she asked the cosmic being, "What happened to Peggy?"
"She… uh… she finally went home," The Watcher answered before giving her a serious look, "Did you bring it?"
"Yes," The Queen nodded as she held out a book, "I'm not sure why you came to me when you could've gone to Wong and Strange. Unlike them, I have a Kingdom to rule, an enchanted forest to protect, and children to raise." Sora glanced at the book with a Keyblade logo on it, "Multiversal travel for Keyblade Wielders. I hope this makes us even for babysitting Ben and May." The Watcher seemed to be puzzled as she clarified, "Don't you remember, my husband and I were dealing with an Avenger-level threat, and Anna and Kristoff were away on their honeymoon?"
"Yes, sorry, spaced out there for a minute," The Watcher stated.
The Queen slowly nodded as she continued to hold out the book, "Well, anyways, I'm not sure why you need this. You're already capable of traversing the Multiverse and wielding Infinity Stones."
"Oh, it's… not for me," The Watcher shook his head before gesturing to Sora.
Elsa turned to the Keyblade Wielder as the boy awkwardly waved his hand. She instantly pulled the book back, "Absolutely not! I'm not giving the secrets to allow a child-"
"Hey!" Sora complained.
"-access to the freaking multiverse! Miles was one thing, but this is a whole different matter entirely!" The Queen of Arendelle continued to exclaim.
"But you're Majesty, this boy is no ordinary child," The Watcher spoke up in Sora's defense, "He is the Hero of the Multiverse. Destined to save all reality."
Elsa glanced at the Keyblade Wielder with a skeptical look as Sora gave a bright smile and two thumbs up. She turned to the Watcher, "That is a ridiculous name. And I'm married to Spider-Man."
"My name's So-," The spiky-haired teenager smiled sheepishly.
"I know who you are!" She lifted a finger. After another minute, she asked the Watcher, "Does he even have a Keyblade?"
In response, the Watcher gestured to Sora, who stretched out his hand and summoned his respective Keyblade to his side. Watcher gave her an encouraging look. As the Queen of Arendelle sighed, "Look, he seems like a nice enough kid, but really? Hero of the Multiverse?"
"You're majesty, you must understand," The Watcher waved his hand, "These multiversal villains managed to obtain Infinity Stones across the multiverse. If they are left in their hands, it could be a total collapse of the multiverse. You're universe included." He then reminded her, "As the Fifth Spirit of the Forest, Queen of Arendelle, and an Avenger, isn't it your duty to protect your universe?"
"Well... it's more complicated than that," Elsa tried to explain.
"Well, the threat is real and Sora's the only one who can stop it," The Watcher explained, "You aren't going to deny this hero the one thing that could save the multiverse."
After staring at the Watcher, she sighed and turned to Sora, "I guess I have little option then..." She then walked up to Sora, and opened the book, "In legend, it was said Keyblade Weilders could once traverse the multiverse." A page was open and showed a picture of a Keyblade Wielder using their respective weapon to traverse from one universe to another. Turning a page, he saw Keyblade Wielders turning their weapons against each other, "However, when a Multiversal Keyblade War threatened all of existence, there was a truce to never use the power again. To stay and protect their own timeline."
She closed the book as she warned the teen, "Very few copies of this book still exist. Even fewer of those who ever knew it ever happened." She warned him, "Once you learn this accent power, you must only use it in desperate times. You can not use this power willy-nilly."
"Willy-nilly?" Sora blinked in disbelief, "How old do you think I am? 6?"
"15," She answered honestly, "But what I've seen and heard, you've acted that way on occasions... yes."
"Hey," He complained before correcting her, "And I'm technically 16."
She sighed as she lightly rubbed her eyes, "Now I understand why Peter was going through with Miles...*" Clearing her throat, she stretched out her arm, creating another mist of ice, "Come with me. I would like to see what you can do."
"Okay," He slowly nodded as he followed her, "So... how do you know who I-"
"Who you are," Elsa finished his sentence as she sighed, "It's complicated. You wouldn't believe me if I told you... Just follow me." The variant of the Queen of Arendelle then entered the mist as she vanished from sight. Hesitating at first, Sora followed her through it...
...and came upon a whole new world. An apparent empty world devoid of human life. He turned to the Queen, "So~ is this your world?"
"Goodness no," Elsa shook her head, she then gestured to a Mountain with several destroyed carvings of important historical figures in place of a man with a skull for a face, "This is Earth-TRN1111. A world where it had no Captain America or Captain Carter and Hydra ravaged this world." She then pinched her nose, "If I brought you to mine, and Anna found out, I'd never hear the end of it."
Captain America? Captain Carter? He never heard anyone by those names. And the only Hydra he knew was the multi-headed monster that he and his friends slayed back on Olympus Coliseum. And why did she bring up her sister?
"I come here when I want to practice my powers without hurting anyone." Elsa continued, she then pointed out, "If you really set on traveling the multiverse, you have to face any dangers that may come with the territory."
"I can fight," Sora boldly stated.
"Well, this one I have to see to believe. Not every version of you is the same, you know," Elsa stated as she waved her hands and created snow figures of Shadow Heartless, "Defeat these replicas of the Heartless, and then we'll talk."
Sora's eyes narrowed with determination as he summoned his Keyblade to his side and went into his battle stance. The four Snow Heartless acted like the ones he fought before. One leaped at him, but he easily dodged the attack. He then performed a few hits and caused the snow creature to stumble. And one by one Sora defeated each Heartless. Elsa slowly nodded, "Okay... you have some skill..." She then turned to him, "But you never used any magic? Why is that?"
"Oh, I lost most of my strength saving someone close to me," Sora explained, "But this isn't the first time this has happened. I'll get them back."
Blinking for a moment, she turned to the sky, "Really?! You're going to send someone who lost their magic against multiversal threats?!" When she did not get a response, she sighed again as she approached Sora, "Okay, look... I can give you a small portion of my ice magic. I can't leave you completely powerless against this threat, but the rest you have to figure out on your own... as it's only magic I know..."
She waved her hand around his Kingdom Key as it lightly glowed blue. She then reformed the dummy Heartless, "Now then, try using your ice powers against these targets."
Sora smirked to himself. This would be almost too easy. Aiming his Keyblade, he commanded, "Deep Freeze!"
Ice launched from his Keyblade, destroying one of the snow Heartless. He then proceeded to do the same with the other practice targets. Elsa crossed her arms and nodded in approval, "Okay, maybe the Watcher hasn't completely lost his mind over the centuries."
"So... does that mean I can learn how to traverse the multiverse," Sora asked hopefully.
"Yes," She nodded, before raising her finger, "But first, there is something you will desperately need." Opening the book, she turned a few pages, "I know it's around in here somewhere..." She then brightened up, "Aha! Here it is!"
She then pulled out what appeared to be a silver keychain with six black stones on it. She tossed it to him, "I trust you know how Keychains work?"
Sora lightly smirked as he equipped it to his Keyblade allowing it to transform into a long sharp sliver Keyblade with six open slots. Four on the blade itself and two on the handle, as Elsa explained, "The Infinity Blade. It was created to maintain control over the six Infinity Stones, and allow the weilder to use its power." She then raised a finger, "But I highly suggest you only use this Keyblade for gathering the Stones. It's bad enough these villains have discovered one Infinity Stone. I hate to see what would happen if they find out there's more."
"Got it," Sora nodded as he switched it back to his Kingdom Key, "I'll find more Keychains along the way to make my Keyblade stronger."
The Fifth Spirit nodded, "Alright then..." She then turned to the book she turned a few pages back, "Finally, the main reason Watcher summoned me..." She then turned the book back to Sora, "Here." She showed Sora a page with a picture of a Keyblade Wielder in a fox mask using her Keyblade at a prism, "Those prisms the Watcher showed you, those windows to other timelines. Just use your Keyblade on the universe you wish to visit and it'll open it up to allow you access to that world. Use it again to return to your own timeline." She then asked him, "Do you understand?"
"I think so... wait, how can you travel to other universes?" Sora couldn't help but wonder.
Closing the book, she stated, "Comes as a privilege of being a Fifth Spirit... and being the wife of Spider-Man. He somehow keeps getting into Multiversal shenanigans. I love him, but he does."
Waving her hand again, creating an icy mist, "Now come on. Let's not keep the Watcher waiting."
With that, the two entered the mist...
...returning to the Final World. The Watcher smiled upon their return, as he turned to the Queen of Arrendelle, "So, what do you think?"
"I admit, he has potential," Elsa nodded, as she tapped her foot on the water-like ground, "Still, maybe we should provide some backup. Like the Avengers."
"You know, in the past, I always had Donald and Goofy going on a journey like this," Sora rubbed the back of his head, "Maybe I could use backup."
"You won't be in the fight alone like the prophecy foretold, the Hero of the Multiverse would not face this threat alone," The Watcher stated as he brought forth another prism, "For the longest time, I did not know what that meant, but when the Multiverse was in peril from another multiversal threat. I summoned the Guardians of the Multiverse." Sora saw a strange group of heroes gathered to face whatever threat he was talking about, "Captain Peggy Carter, Gamora: Slayer of Thanos, Star-Lord T'Challa, Dr. Strange Supreme, Thor the Party Prince, Killmonger: Tony Stark former protégée and murderer, and the Last Avenger: Black Widow." The Watcher then turned to the boy, "It is obvious what you must do, as you seek the stones, and stop the villains in possession of them, you must assemble your own Guardians of the Multiverse."
"Well, it can't be any more difficult when we gathered seven Guardians of Light," Sora brightened up slightly, "Not a problem."
"You must choose wisely though," The Watcher told him, "These villains are not the only ones who will seek the Infinity Stones."
"Well, I've done my part," Elsa spoke up as she created another mist, "I need to be going. The twins will be up from their nap any minute now, and I don't want them freaking out with their own powers with Anna watching after them." As she stepped through the mist, she turned to the teenager, "Sora, I will be checking in every now and then. Please don't cause any trouble or Wong will give us both a lecture on messing with the Multiverse."
With that, the Queen of Arendelle returned to her own timeline, as Watcher turned to Sora, "She means well, it's difficult balancing being a protector of the forest, Avenger, Queen, and mother of two powerful toddlers."
"Well, if she's anything like the Elsa I know, then I've got a pretty good idea," Sora smiled before wondering to himself, "I wonder who the father is, though."
"Sora..."
"Right, gotta focus," The Keyblade's Chosen nodded as he turned to the Watcher, "So how do I find these Stones?"
The Watcher then pulled out six prisms, "I was able to track them down to these timelines. You may choose whichever to see first, but remember... find your Guardians, stop the villains, and above all else... get the Stones."
Sora gave a thumbs up before turning to the six alternate timelines, "Now... where should I go first?"
Infinity Blade Unlocked - While just another Keyblade on its own, it was designed to help control any Infinity Stones equipped to it, allowing easier control, and safe usage. The more Stones equipped the stronger the blade becomes.

Notes:
I don't own Kingdom Hearts, What if...?, or any of the properties shown in this Fanfic. They belong to Square Enix, Disney, Marvel, and other respective companies. Hey, glad to see you like the first chapter. It turned a little shorter compared to the other ones I have planned out for the future, but it gives you an idea of what to expect. Good news, though, is that I did manage to get this chapter done. Longer than the last one, and this started out as a rough draft I finished months ago, but I was able to tidy it up and get up the second chapter earlier. Not all chapters will come out this quickly, but it's the first half of the first universe/world, our hero will visit and recruit allies from.
Which is, of course, based on the House of M storyline, but my own version of it, so it plays very differently than how it goes in the comics, will it have a happier ending than how it went in the original? Let's find out together, shall we? But first, let's reply to some reviews...
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Chapter 2: The House of M
Sora gazed upon each of the prisms. Each Timeline was threatened by the existence of these Infinity Stones. If he did not act soon, the whole Multiverse would collapse and countless lives would perish. He knew he had to act quickly to find his allies, defeat the villains, and claim all six Infinity Stones. Soon enough, he took his pick. He pointed to the Watcher, "Hey, what's the situation on this World?"
"Ah, Earth-58163.5. To explain the present situation, we must look at the past... to one man." The Watcher explains he extended the window into another timeline and flipped it over to reveal the man in the metal helmet, "Erik Lehnsherr. As a boy, Erik was forced to live in a death camp during the Holocaust. When first incarcerated with his family, it was soon discovered that he had power over metal when he bent the fence that kept him away from his parents. He was a mutant. A powerful one at that. He would survive thanks to the Allied Powers' victory over the Nazis, but his hate for humanity began there."
Sora frowned at that. He couldn't help but feel bad for him. It was no wonder that the darkness overtook him. The Watcher continued as he waved his hand, "When more mutants began to show, Erik would cross paths with Charles Xavier, a mutant with the power to read minds. The two would form a quick friendship and wanted what was best for their people. Charles believed that one day, humans and mutants could co-exist peacefully, and all they needed was a guide to show them the way." The Watcher's voice then grew grim, "Erik on the other hand, only saw the worst in humanity. Believing the mutants would be persecuted by the humans, he had no intention of history repeating itself. He became Magento and sought for mutant-kind to overthrow the humans as the dominant species on Earth. Friends would soon become enemies, and in many timelines, Charles Xavier would form the X-Men: a peace-keeping team to unite humans and mutant-kind. They would prevent Magento's goal from ever being achieved..."
Sora lightly smiled at that, until the Watcher stated, "But in this timeline, Magento captured Xavier before he could form the X-Men..." Sora's eyes widened as the prism changed to see Magento victorious over Charles. Watcher continued, "Things only got worse from here."
Just then, Magento noticed something fall from the sky and crash into the ground. When it made contact with the ground, it blinded everything in a purple light that covered everything. When the light faded, Magento's eyes widened at what he saw. Monsters from Monstroplis, demi-gods from Olympus Coliseum, superhumans of every other kind. Charles seemed as equally stunned when Magento approached the crater and saw the source of the collision of worlds: the Power Stone.
Kneeling down towards it, he picked up the glowing purple stone as it floated in his hand. Just then, he spotted an army of U.S. soldiers heading their way. With his free hand, Mangeto stretched out his hand and striped their weapons, destroyed their tanks, and even unintentionally destroyed buildings miles away from where he was. Shocked Magento turned to the Stone, "Fascinating."
He then turned to the confused citizens and he sought to unite the newcomers to this world. The Watcher continued, "With the collision of worlds, united for the first time since the Keyblade War, it threw the Earth into chaos. Everyone was against each other. Magento, with the power of the Infinity Stone, took control of the chaos and overthrew the human world earning many followers from mutants and their new super-powered neighbors." Waving his hand, time passed and Magento looked down at his Mutant Utopia, his Kingdom, "With no X-Men, nothing stopped Magento from creating a paradise for his kind and most would see him as a hero as every mutant or superhuman were treated as first-class citizens while the humans were forced into labor."
"How was he able to achieve this so quickly," Sora muttered to himself, "All within a week?"
"The Stones didn't just travel through alternate timelines, but they were also scattered throughout time. Even though the destruction of the timeline was a week for us, with Time Stone's involvement, lifetimes already happened upon these worlds," The Watcher explained, "What's news for you... is history for them."
"So, ordinary humans were put into slavery, and everyone is just okay with that," The spiky-haired teenage boy turned to the Watcher, "Isn't there anyone willing to stand up to Magento?"
"Actually, not everyone saw Magento as most thought he was," The Watcher turned to the teen, "A resistance was formed to fight against Magento's Regime and free the humans..."
The Watcher shifted his hand as he saw a group of resistance fighters liberating a human camp, Sora instantly recognized a certain scared brunette, "Hey, that's Leon! I should've known he'd be fighting back!" He then blinked, "Man, it's been ages since I last saw him... it'll be good to see him and the gang..." When he noticed the Watcher staring at him, he quickly corrected himself, "Or at least... a version of him."
"If you wish to find your guardians and get the Power Stone, you must find him and the resistance," The being told the Keyblade's Chosen, "The multiverse is counting on you, Hero of the Multiverse!"
Remembering what he learned from the more experienced Elsa, Sora summoned his Keyblade and aimed it at the prism. Light swirled around the tip of the Keyblade and shot a beam that struck the prism pulling him into this new universe...
"WHOA!" Sora screamed as he fell from one reality to another bumping from side to side of the prism before crashing down on the hard ground. He groaned as he stood back up on the city streets, as the people walked or flew past him paying him no mind. His eyes widened in awe as he whispered to himself, "Whoa... I can't believe it... I'm in another universe...
"Oh, are you alright?" A familiar voice spoke up.
He turned and to his surprise, he spotted a familiar hunchback, "Quasi?"
Sure enough, it was the same Quasimodo that he met back in the Dream World when he and Riku took the Mark of Mastery. However, this Quasimodo tilted his head, "Huh? How did you know my name? Have we met before?"
He had to remember, even if he hadn't met the hunchback in the dream world, he wasn't the same Quasimodo he knew. This was a different world, a different universe. He forgot to ask the Watcher how he should interact with people from other universes. Until he found this world's Leon, he should act the same way upon arriving on a new world. Protect the world order, act like this is the only world or universe in this case is the only place with life he knew. He shook his head, and apologized, "Sorry, you looked like someone I know back home."
Seemingly able to buy the white lie, the hunchback chuckled, "Oh, it's no problem. Guess I have one of those faces."
Quasimodo offered Sora a hand, which he grateful accepted, "Thanks."
Once he was back on his feet, Sora observed the city streets, he saw Mike and Sully giving Jack Skeleton a friendly wave. He saw Ariel swimming in a watery street as she greeted a much younger Elsa who wasn't wearing gloves. He saw a young Rapunzel and Gothel walking down the city streets with bags of groceries. This place didn't seem real, as Quasimodo spoke up, "You okay? You look you took quite the tumble earlier."
"Huh? Oh, yeah... my powers just manifested just the other day," Sora fibbed as he smiled, "Still getting the hand of them."
"Oh, yes, some mutants get their powers later in life," The hunchback nodded, before he gave him a confident smile, "Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get the hang of your powers in no time."
It was then Sora realized that there was something different about this Quasimodo. It was then he realized, that he never had a Frollo in his life. No reason to make walls around his heart. He could freely wear his heart on his sleeve. Well, there's a silver lining to Magento's Regime.
He also couldn't help but notice all the balloons and everyone wearing fancy clothing. Sora turned to Quasimodo, "I must have hit my head harder than I thought. What's the occasion?"
"Oh, you've forgotten," The hunchback glanced at Sora, before smiling brightly, "Why today is Mutant Independence Day! We celebrate the life Lord Magus gave us when he freed us from our human oppressors!"
Lord Magus, huh? Sora didn't need to be a genius to know Lord Magus was just another name for Magento. Quasimodo smiled, "There's supposed to be a big celebration tonight at Genosha! All the most powerful political figures around the world are supposed to be there! Including the House of M."
"House of M?" Sora tilted his head.
"The royal family of course," Quasimodo smiled as he started naming them on his fingers, "Prince Petrio, Princess Lorna, and Princess Wanda!" He then eagerly beamed, "And I was recently offered a job at the palace itself!"
"Oh, wow, that's really cool!" Sora smiled, generally happy for the hunchback, "Can anyone come?"
"Sorry, personal invite only," Quasimodo apologized. Well, so much for sneaking in as a party guest and finding a version of Eugene or Aladdin to help him steal the Power Stone. The hunchback before giving him an encouraging smile, "But hey, there are sorts of activities going on today. Last year's was a blast, you should check them out."
"I will," Sora smiled, "Thanks..."
"You're welcome," Quasimodo nodded before pausing when he realized he didn't know Sora's name, "Um... uh..."
"Oh, I'm Sora," Sora quickly introduced himself.
"You're welcome, Sora," The hunchback nodded again, "My name is Quasimodo." He then turned to the docks, "I should probably catch the next boat out. I don't want to be late on my first day!"
With that, the hunchback ran off, as Sora crossed his arms, "Well, it's safe to know that Magento... and by extension the Power Stone is on Genosha. But I need a way to get there." He sighed, "I should find Leon... he'd know what to do."
With that, he ran to the city streets passing by both familiar faces and strangers alike. He wondered if there was a Donald and Goofy here...
A few streets over, a young teenage girl, wearing casual clothing and a red hoodie, wandered through the city streets noticing all the activities going on. She whispered in awe, "Wow..."
"You're Highness!" A small cricket appeared on her shoulder.
"Ssssh!" She shushed the cricket and looked around making sure no one heard him. She turned to him, "Keep it down, Jiminy. I don't want the entire city to know I'm here."
"My apologies, Princess-" Jiminy apologized before clearing his throat, "I mean, Wanda-"
"Don't say my real name either," She whispered.
"Look, I get you want to see the world outside Genosha," Jiminy nodded in understanding, "And every time you've asked your father..."
"He always says no," She walked through the city streets giving a kind smile to a mutant with angel-like wings.
"...but running away from home, sneaking onto a boat all the way to New York," Jiminy rubbed the top of his head.
"Look, I know my father means well and wants to keep me safe," Wanda whispered to the cricket, "But I know very little of the outside world besides what I'm told... we live in a peaceful time and the truth is... I don't have any real friends outside of my siblings and you." She then lightly smirked, "Besides, haven't you always told me it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission."
"Using my own words against me," Jiminy shook his head, he sighed removing his hat and rubbing the back of his head, "Look... all I'm saying is that while I haven't always agreed with your father's decisions, I promised your mother, God rest her soul, that I would do within everything in my power to ensure you turn out a good apple. Do what's right. Including honoring both your mother and father."
"...and I will..." She promised as she sighed at the memory of her mother, she then turned to him, "But I'm not going back until I've at least made one friend and done something with him... or her."
"And what exactly are you going to tell them when you introduce yourself," Jiminy placed his hand back on with his eyes narrowed in suspicion.
"I've got it all figured out, just shush up and hide before someone discovers you..." Wanda reassured him, "Or my cover will definitely be blown."
"Gosh, I really hope I don't bring you back to your father if you end up pregnant," Jiminy sighed as he hopped back into her pocket.
Wanda rolled her eyes at that statement. As much as she wanted to be a mother someday, she had zero intention of being one when she was only 15. If she was going to have children it would be with a good husband that she loved and it would be after their marriage. If someone tried to take advantage of her, she had powers. She could handle anything thrown at her, she was an Omega Level mutant after all...
...has she ever used them against another person before?
Admittedly no, not unless you counted Peitro whenever he bugged her, but he was her twin brother. Still, she was certain she could figure it out. If she ran into a hateful human she was certain she could handle them with her powers. She didn't need her father's special stone to do it.
Besides, now she could truly enjoy herself, and see the people she might one day rule. As she passed by stores and street vendors, she was offered many things, they seemed nice, but she always politely declined. Maybe she could meet a friend her age through the free activities she had heard so much about. She wouldn't mind playing a few games herself.
Just then, she bumped into someone small, looking down. She spotted a dark-haired child with the initial 'H' burned into his skin wearing very old clothing. But why? Who did that to him? Was he... human? He didn't seem dangerous... if anything... he seemed hungry. She gave him an encouraging smile, "Oh, hello there, are you hungry?"
The boy nervously nodded, looking around, she spotted a street vendor with apples on sale. Half-priced because of today. Picking up a bright red ripe one, she gave it to the starving child, "Here you go." The child smiled gratefully as she whispered, "Now get back home safely to your parents, understand?"
The boy nodded as he ran across the street. Waving back to him, the store manager who had rock-like skin spoke up to her, "Excuse me, ma'am, were you going to pay for that apple?"
Wanda froze turning to the angry mutant manager, but forced a laugh, "Oh, of course, how silly of me..." She then reached into her pocket and froze, she had left her wallet back at Genosha. Including all of her spending money and credit cards. She then laughed nervously, "Ooooh, I left my wallet at home... if you would allow me to return home..."
Grabbing the young teenager, by the arm, "Nice try, but no one steals from me and gets away with it!"
"No, please, I swear I can pay," She pleaded.
He then pulled out his phone, and told her, "Let's see if S.H.E.I.L.D. believes your tall tale, thief!"
"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!" A new voice spoke up before running between her and the store manager, "All this for an apple? C'mon, man, that's a little extreme don't you think?"
"Stay out of this, Parker," The manager glared at the boy, "I don't have time to deal with a human like you!"
Wanda blinked. Another human? He turned to her, and sure enough, like the boy, he had a burnt H brand across his right eye. He asked her, "New to New York?"
Huh, for a human... he was actually... kinda cute. She slowly nodded. Parker turned back to the store manager, "Look, if you're going to make that big of a deal out of it, I'll pay for it. Just let her go."
"Pay with what?" The manager growled, "You're broke!"
"That is not true," The human teenage boy reached into his pocket and pulled out a couple of dollar bills with Charles Xavier's image on them, "See? Exact change. Plus a little extra."
"Where'd you steal it from?" The rocky manager raised an eyebrow.
"Hey, you want it or not?" Parker asked him, waving the dollar bills.
After a long pause, the manager told him, "3.82."
Parker looked dumbfounded as he pointed to the sale sign, "But it's half off!"
"Yeah, for mutants," The manager glared at him, "You're lucky I ain't charging you the full human price."
He silent cursed to himself. Guess, he didn't have enough cash on him. He then turned to her, as his eyes widened and faster than she could react he took her necklace, "How about a trade? Will this cover it?"
The manager grinned greedily, "Now we're talking."
"What? No," Wanda's eyes widened, "That was my mother's!"
Parker turned to her, as he whispered, "It is not worth your life. Trust me." He then turned back to the store owner, "Just take it and let her go."
The rocky mutant took the necklace and placed it in his pocket. With that, the manager released the secret princess, "Pleasure doing business with you."
With that, Parker led her away, from the store as she glared at him, "I can't believe you just did that! Do you have any idea how important that was to me..."
"I've got a pretty good idea," Parker smirked before pulling out her necklace so only she could see.
Wanda blinked in shock before smiling in relief as the human teen placed it back in her hand. While relieved she didn't lose her mother's necklace, she turned to Parker, "Wait, does that mean we actually stole from him?"
"Relax, I replaced the necklace with a generous nine-cent tip," Parker smirked...
At the same time, the manager checked to observe his prize, only to find two dollars in his pocket. Realizing what happened, he roared in anger, "STOP! THEIEVES!"
"Guess, he didn't like the tip," Wanda half-joked to her savior.
"Yeah," Parker nervously smiled, "We should probably pick up the pace!"
With that, the two teenagers started running as the police started chasing after them...
Meanwhile, Sora was getting himself some ice cream from a kind street vendor, he gave him some munny, "Thanks, sir. It's been ages since I've eaten anything."
The munny, as usual, turned into this world's currency, as the old man with the glasses smiled at him, "Hey, if you haven't eaten anything in that long, it might as be something sweet. Take care of yourself, True Believer."
Sora waved as he started eating his sea salt ice cream bar, suddenly, he saw two teenagers his age run past him. They hid in an alleyway, just as a couple of men in uniform walked up to him, "You! Have you seen a young mutant woman hanging out with a human thief?!"
They must have meant those two teenagers who ran into the alley behind him. Well, since Magento was in charge here and he KNEW that he was the bad guy, in Sora's experience, those two teens were friends in the making. So, he gestured to his right, "They went that way! If you hurry you can still catch them!"
"Thank you," The officer nodded as he and the other guards rushed in the direction Sora pointed, "Hurry! Don't let them get away!"
After a moment, they were long out of sight, Sora retreated back to the alley as he told them, "They're gone. You two should be safe."
The two fellow teens out of the shadows to reveal themselves, as the teenage boy, "Thanks, man."
"Don't mention it," Sora told the two.
"Is he... with you?" The young woman wondered as she placed her necklace back around her neck.
The young man turned to her, "I thought he was with you." He turned back to Sora, "Wait, if you don't know us then why'd you help?"
"I'm a pretty good judge of character," Sora smiled at the two before looking back to where he misled the officers, "We should probably get to somewhere safe just in case they figured out I lied."
"I know a place," The boy nodded as he gestured back to the ally, "C'mon."
With that, the two teenagers followed the human back to the alleyway. Sora wondered, "So, what was that about?"
"I... uh... may have given an apple I didn't pay for to a starving child," Wanda answered before muttering to herself, "Letting him go hungry I believe is the real crime here."
"Yeah, when Mr. Rabin was going to call S.H.E.I.L.D. over it," The brunette looked both ways before turning to the left corner, "I stopped him. Offered to pay it myself but the guy just hates humans... or maybe it's just me... wanted more than he was offering, so I may have tricked him into trading her necklace for the apple but stole it back and gave him the regular price that he was offering to everyone else."
"I'm so sorry if I've gotten you both in trouble," She apologized to the two boys.
"Hey, it's no problem," The first teen that saved her shrugged, "You helped a poor human child. Not everyone does that these days."
Wanda smiled back at the boy, "So, um... it's Parker? Right?"
"Yeah, Peter Parker, actually," The human smiled as he nervously rubbed the back of his head.
"It's nice to meet you, Peter," Sora smiled at his new friend, "I'm Sora." He then turned to the girl as they exited the ally and blended into the crowd, "So, what's your name?"
Wanda opened her mouth before freezing. She wasn't sure how Sora and Peter would react if they knew they were standing in front of a real Princess. She looked around and saw a newspaper article that Elizabeth Sawn was coming to the grand party and the article was written but someone named Olsen. She then smiled back at her new friends, "My name is Elizabeth Olsen." She could already feel the daggers Jiminy glaring at her for the lie, "It's nice to meet you both."
"So, new to New York, huh?" Peter decided to pick up on some small talk.
Before Wanda could answer, Sora spoke up after taking a lick of his ice cream, "Yeah, how'd you know?"
Both teenagers turned to him, Peter blinked in surprise, "You too, huh?"
Sora blinked before glancing between her and the actual New Yorker, "Oh, you were talking to..." He laughed sheepishly, "Sorry."
"Don't worry about it," Wanda reassured him before turning back to Peter, "Seriously though, how'd you guess?"
"Well, you kinda do stand out," The brunette lightly smiled as she smiled back at him. Peter then cleared his throat, "I mean, uh, you don't seem to know how dangerous New York can be."
"I'm a fast learner," Wanda shrugged with a kind smile, as red mist danced across her fingers, before admitting, "I should probably brought my wallet though."
"So, where are you from, Elizabeth?" Sora tilted his head.
Wanda froze before thinking for a brief moment, before fibbing again, "Dwarf Woodlands... by the castle..."
Sora blinked in confusion as Peter nodded, "Oh, like where the famous seven miners are from! It's where California used to be, right? Wow, that is far away!" He turned to her as they stopped for a red light, "Must be very different compared to a city like New York."
"You have no idea," Wanda muttered to herself as she could feel Jiminy tapping her foot at yet another lie. Clearing her throat, she asked, "So, you're from here?"
"Well, not a lot of humans come to the big city," Peter shook his head as the lights turned green, "I grew up in Queens..." He then turned to Sora as they walked across the street, "What about you, Sora? Where are you from?"
"Well, I'm not sure you heard of it... but I grew up on islands far away from here," Sora answered, "The Destiny Islands."
"Destiny Islands, huh?" Wanda tapped her foot. She had heard that name before. Somewhere in her New Geography course back home.
Peter shrugged, "Can't say I have heard of it. Anyways, what brings you to New York?"
"To be honest, I was hoping for some fun, but my job requires me to be here," The spiky-haired boy answered, "Just when I think I'd actually get some time off... something happens."
Peter winced, "Sorry, man, sounds rough."
"It's not too bad, I get to see so many new places and meet new friends," Sora lightly smiled, "Can't complain about that."
"Hey, Sora," Wanda spoke up, "These islands... they wouldn't happen to have star-shaped fruit, would they?"
"Yes, actually," The teen brightened, "The Paopu Fruit."
"Of course, the Destiny Islands, I thought I heard of it before," Wanda thought to herself. She remembered it being on of her mother's favorite vacation spot and she loved the fruit for the legend. It was one of her favorite legends as well. It wasn't well known to most except for those who lived on the islands or could afford to visit. Her eyes narrowed slightly, "Wait... the islands aren't far away at all. It's just a couple of miles off the shores of New York."
In fact, she had passed it on the boat she snuck on to New York. Guess, she wasn't the only one hiding something. But what was he hiddening...
Sora, Elizabeth, and Peter continued walking down the streets, the teenager from Queens turned to them, "Okay, we're going to need to take a couple of detours but we're almost there."
Suddenly, something down the next alley knocked something over, Sora glanced at the source of the sound. Nothing appeared to be there, but his years as a world-hopping warrior taught him many things. Including if there was a dark presence nearby. Wanda turned to the Keyblade Wielder, "Is something the matter?"
After a minute, Sora called out, "Hey, Peter? Those detours? How far away is it?"
Peter had also glanced to the alley as if he also sensed something, he slowly nodded, "Yeah... not far at all..." He then turned to the two, "But I think we might want to take the shortcut. It's just on the other side of the street."
"Let's go then," Sora nodded as he and Elizabeth followed Peter at a quicker pace.
Elizabeth looked between the two teenage boys as they walked across the street, "Um... is there something I'm missing here?"
"We're being followed," Sora whispered alerting her.
Picking up the pace further, she whispered, "Do you know who?"
"I didn't see," Peter admitted, "Could be the cops, S.H.E.I.L.D., or maybe a common street mugger."
He shook his head, "I have a pretty good idea what's following us. If I'm right, this city... this world is in grave danger..."
Elizabeth gasped in concern as they entered the alleyway, Peter whispered, "Okay, we might be able to use the fire escape. Ditch them on the rooftops." He then stopped, "Or... they're right on top of us."
Just then, from the ground rose several shadows with yellow eyes, that Sora was all too familiar with. Wanda gasped in horror, "What on Earth...?!"
"Heartless!" Sora glared as he leaped ahead of the two and summoned his Keyblade to his hand, "Peter, get to the fire escape! I'll keep them off you and Elizabeth!"
Before he pursued them, the young teenage woman stopped them, "Wait..." Sora turned to her as she gestured to the creatures of darkness, "Maybe they're friendly... I mean... they don't look dangerous..."
"Hey! You!"
"GAH!" Wanda yelped as she clung onto Peter as they turned around to see the Street Manager whom Peter knew as Mr. Rabin coming in at the other end of the abbey.
"You thieves are giving me what's mine and I hope S.H.E.I.L.D. locks you up in the Negative Zone for the rest of your days." Just then, more Heartless rose up behind him, and in front of him, he froze, "Wait, what are-?!" He nervously backed away, "Now hold on! Don't-"
But the Heartless apparently were not the negotiation type as they pounced on Mr. Rabin as he screamed, "NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Only seconds later, a red heart exited his body as darkness consumed it creating an armor Heartless. Mr. Rabin's body vanished as the Heartless turned to the three teenagers. Wanda's eyes widened in horror, "Not friendly!"
Peter shook his head, "Definitely not friendly!"
"Yeah, if it's alright with you two, I'm going to fight them now," Sora glanced between Wanda and Peter.
This time the daughter of King Magus did not stop him. Sora's strange weapon cut through the Heartless. He was all that stopped the Heartless from getting to them. Wanda then looked up to the fire escape, and the secret Princess then remembered Sora's plan before she stopped him. She turned to Peter, "Please tell me you can reach that."
"One way to find out," Peter muttered to himself. With that, the teen jumped slightly higher than the average athletic mutant. He grabbed the ladder and pulled it down as he kicked a Heartless Shadow away from himself. He turned to Wanda, "Ladies first."
He helped her on to the latter and she did not hesitate to climb up. Peter followed as Sora continued to fight off the strange creatures. He called out, "We're clear, Sora! Get up here when you can!"
The spikey-haired mutant with the giant key nodded, as he aimed his Keybalde at the Heartless close to him, "DEEP FREEZE!"
Ice launched from his key-shaped sword, freezing them all in place. Sora dismissed his weapon as he climbed up the ladder as well. Once he was up, he kicked the ladder the ladder several times before it broke off. He turned to Wanda and Peter, "Keep moving! That won't slow them down for long!"
They nodded as Wanda ran up the fire escape to the rooftops, followed by the teenage boys shortly. This was not at all how she expected her first day in the real world to turn out. From helping a hungry child to getting in trouble with a store manager, being saved by a very attractive human boy, running from the cops, being protected from them by a kind mutant teenage boy, and now this!
Being attacked by those things, those Heartless! They murdered the manager and turned him into one of them! Soon enough, they reached the top of the fire escape but it wasn't quite high enough to reach the rooftops. Peter held out his hands, "I'll give you and Sora a boost. Sora can use his oversized key to pull me up."
She nodded as she placed her foot in his hand and he gave her the boost up. He was stronger than she thought he was. Wanda quickly climbed to the edge and looked down at the two boys. As Peter promised, he first helped Sora up. Wanda helped Sora to the rooftop. A second later, Sora resummoned his giant key and lowered the tip for Peter, "Grab on! Quickly!"
Peter did so and both mutants pulled the human teen to the rooftops with them. She asked him, "You okay?"
"I live!" Peter reassured her. Wanda smiled in relief, before the human boy's eyes widened, "Uh-oh!"
Uh-oh? Oh no! She was really hoping it wasn't what Peter thought it was. Turning around, she saw Sora back into his fighting stance as more Heartless appeared on the rooftops. Jiminy then peeked out of her pocket, "Now what is goin-?" His eyes widened, "My word!"
"Jiminy, shush," The Princess whispered to the cricket.
Before a fight could ensue, several blasts and lasers struck the Heartless, wiping them all out. The three teens blinked before looking up, Wanda's eyes widened as she spotted the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier flying in the sky. What followed was some of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s best-known agents. Blasting down from the heavens above was Agent Carol Danvers better known as Captain Marvel. Teleporting with a poof of blue brimstone smoke, appearing before the teens with yellow eyes and blue skin and a demon-like tail was Agent Kurt Darkhölme also known as Nightcrawler. Several wires lowered from the sky and four more agents slid down to the rooftops. The first to touch down was Agent Anna Marie Darkhölme a.k.a Rogue: Kurt's foster sister. The next to touch down landed on all fours and looking at the three teens with slimy green skin was Agent Mortimer Toynbee also known as Toad. After that, came down the blue shift-shaper mother of Rogue and Nightcrawler and lover of the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. was Raven Darkhölme also known as Mystique. Finally to lower down, to their level was the Director's second of command, Agent Jessica Drew. Out of instinct, she pulled up her hood in order to avoid any of the agents from identifying her.
Agent Drew marched up to the three teens, "I am Agent Jessica Drew of S.H.I.E.L.D. And you three have caused enough trouble today. By the order of Director Howlet, you're all being brought in for questioning."
Sora blinked at the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents as he turned to Peter and Elizabeth, "Umm... for those that never heard of S.H.I.E.L.D... what is it?"
While Elizabeth merely pulled her hood tighter as if she wanted to turn invisible at this very moment, Peter explained, "They're the Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate."
After a brief long stare, Sora spoke up again, "Okay, say that again, but in English."
"They're King Magus's best enforcers around the planet," Elizabeth whispered from her hoodie.
"Okay, that I understood," The spiky-haired teen nodded to the girl from Snow White's part of the hybrid world, "Thank you, Elizabeth." He then turned to the S.H.I.E.L.D., "Okay, so you guys are the law here, eh?" Dissummoning his weapon, he turned to the second in command, "Okay, if this was about what happened with Mr. Rabin... it was a simple misunderstanding. He was paid exact change for the apple but he got greedy. A bit of an overreaction to call you guys on that part." He then blinked, "I only saw the guy once and he seems like the kind of guy who would steal the girlfriend from a hero when his back was turned."
The girl with a white streak in her hair turned to the demon-looking agent, "Is this kid for real?"
The other agent merely shrugged in confusion, as Agent Drew sighed, "No, kid, this is not because of Mr. Rabin's crime report... that admittedly was an overreaction."
"Oh, good, in that case," Sora smiled as he gestured to his friends, "Thanks for taking care of the Heartless, we'll be on our way-"
Just then, the teleporting mutant poofed in front of Sora cutting him off, "Not so fast, young one."
"You three are being brought in for those monsters in the alley that took Mr. Rabin's life," Jessica explained.
"Well, they technically stole his heart, turning him into a Heartless but I don't see how that's relevant-" The Keyblade's Chosen blinked before his eyes widened, "Wait! YOU THINK WE SUMMONED THE HEARTLESS?!"
"You three are the only ones to encounter those creatures and witnesses say Paul Rabin went into an alleyway you three were in and never made it out," Jessica listed off her evidence.
The blue woman pointed to Parker, "You, Mr. Parker, have had a history with the store manager on many occasions and not the good kind."
"Yeah, I don't think he ever liked me that much," Peter admitted, "Though I'm still in debate if it's a race thing or just a me thing."
"And recently, you aided this young girl," The blonde flying woman gestured to Elizabeth, "In ripping off, Mr. Rabin prior to the murder-"
"Hey, in our defense we did pay the guy, he just wanted more," Peter stood in front of said girl, "...and more importantly we didn't kill him!"
"And you, sugar," The girl with the streak in her hair, "Lied to the police, misleading them to protect the other suspects."
"You also referred to them by name," The blue man added with a German accent, "That means you knew about them before they ended Paul Rabin's life."
"Because, I fought them in the past, and if they're here, then it means your world is in grave danger in more ways than one," Sora's eyes narrowed, "And I'm the only one who can stop it."
"Yeah, that sounds very suspicious, kid," The one that sat on all fours like a toad stated as a fly flew past him. He caught it with his tongue and ate it, much to the other's shock, "A threat only you can stop. You think we were born yesterday."
"You're coming with us," Agent Drew approached the teenagers with three sets of cuffs, "Make it easy on yourselves and come with us willingly."
"Oh, gee," Peter stood in front of Sora acting all defeated and beaten, "Guess you got us then, guess we've got no choice but to go along with-" He then gasped and pointed behind them, "Oh, look! WE'RE SAVED! LEON AND THE RESISTANCE IS HERE!"
Instantly, all S.H.I.E.L.D. agents turned around to face the incoming resistance fighters, as Agent Drew exclaimed, "Alright! Put them down now-" She then blinked because there was no one there, "Huh?"
Carol turned back to the teens, "Wait, there's no resistance coming to help-" Only find out they were long gone, "-you..." Her eyes narrowed in anger, "Son of a-!"
"Okay," Rogue blinked in shock, "Did we seriously just fall for that?"
Jessica then started barking out orders, "After them! Don't let them get away!" The agents of S.H.E.I.L.D. Quickly went purse the teens before Howlet's second in command, went for her coms., "Drew to squad B, Captain, the suspects on foot. They could be heading in your direction. Cut them off and don't let them escape!"
"Understood, Commander," Captain Gantu replied, "We'll be ready for them!"
"Remember, I want the suspects alive," Agent Drew reminded the shark-like alien. Ending the communication, she joined in the pursuit...
A few moments earlier, when the S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents bought Peter's distraction, the three teenagers ran to the next building over. Elizabeth turned to Peter, "What are we going to do?!"
"Looks like we're going to have to jump," Peter told the shy teenage girl.
"Jump?!" Elizabeth blinked in disbelief as Sora looked slightly shocked, "Are you crazy! We'll never make it!"
"Welp, that's what you think," Peter thought to himself as he had an ace or in this case spider up his sleeve. He just needed to make this believable, he asked her, "Do you trust me?"
"Huh?" Elizabeth blinked as Sora gave him a thumbs up.
"Do you trust me?" He asked again offering his hand to her as they neared the edge.
After a moment, she took his hand, "Yes..."
Pulling her in and holding her by her waist causing her to blush, Peter then took hold of Sora, and told the two, "Then hold on!"
Elizabeth screamed as Peter used his Spider-Agility to leap all three of them across one roof to another. They landed safely on the other side as the girl blinked, "Wow! That was amazing!"
"Yeah, in another lifetime, I could gotten gold in the Olympics when they were still a thing," Peter half-joked.
Elizabeth blinked in confusion, "Olymp-what now?"
Just then, Nightcrawler poofed just behind them, as Sora exclaimed, "Keep moving!"
The three teens kept running towards the next building but it was higher than the previous one. Peter mentally groaned to himself, "Welp, secret identity was fun while it lasted!"
But that's when Sora took hold of both him and Elizabeth, "My turn! Hold on!" He summoned his key-shaped sword and Peter heard Sora whisper something, "...please, let this work..."
Holding the blade in a reverse grip, Sora pulled back the blade and threw the Keychain on the end of it which extended higher and higher until it latched on the rooftop above. Peter held onto Sora and Wanda as they were all launched to the higher buildings...
The sudden boost in speed caused the cricket in the secret Princess's pocket to fall out. Thankfully, he was able to latch onto the previous rooftop before he fell over. He sighed in relief as he pulled himself up to safety, "Whew! That was a close one!"
He then looked up to the higher buildings to where the Princess was, "Hey! Wanda!" He then ran across the edge of the building, "Wait for me!"
The three teenagers landed on the top of the taller building as Sora beamed, "Hey! It actually worked!"
"What do you mean?" Wanda glanced at Sora with her eyes narrowed.
The spiky-haired brunette shrugged, "Well, I wasn't sure it was going to work."
Okay, she guessed he was still learning his mutant abilities. Well, that's normal. Sometimes their gifts came later in life. But something else puzzled her. Her pocket felt a little lighter. She whispered, "Jiminy?" She dug in her pocket, to see if her friend was still in there, as she whispered a little louder, "Jiminy?!"
"HEY! WAIT UP!" Jiminy's voice could be heard from down below. All three looked down to see the well-dressed cricket running on the edge of the previous rooftop, "You're hi- I mean Wan- I mean-"
"Jiminy?!" Sora's voice overshadowed Wanda's in concern. Wanda glanced at her fellow mutant. Sora knew Jiminy?! The mutant with the key glanced between Peter and Wanda, "You two keep going! I'm going back for him!"
Sora then leaped off the roof to rescue the cricket, causing Wanda to blink. While grateful that the boy with the giant key was going to save her most trusted advisor but... but how did he know Jiminy? Did her father-?!
Before she could finish her thoughts, she spotted Captain Marvel flying above them and Nightwcraler teleporting behind them. Peter took her hand as they ran, "C'mon! We need to keep moving!"
"Hold on, Jiminy!" Sora called out to the tiny cricket, "I'll save ya, buddy!"
He landed back on the other rooftop as three women and the toad-like mutant attempted to capture him. The toad-like one leaped in front of Sora's path, nearly stepping on Jiminy. However, Sora threw his Keyblade at the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent knocking him away from the cricket, and in one swift motion, picked up the small cricket as he leaped off the rooftops.
The two agents looked down to where Sora jumped as they pulled out their weapons and fired several shots with their guns. Sora went around the corner to avoid the shots, as he turned to his old friend, "You okay, Jiminy?"
"Gosh! That agent nearly squashed me without even noticing me..." The cricket took several deep breaths, "But I think I'll be okay thanks to you." He then blinked, "But wait a minute?! How do you know me?!" He tilted his head trying to recall where he met the Keyblade's Chosen before, "Have we met before?"
Sora winced. That's right. He wasn't the same Jiminy he had traveled alongside with. While he knew Jiminy, the latter never met him. Or at least his version here. Was there even another Sora here? He could hear the woman with blue skin call out, "The mutant with the key split from the main group! Ground forces, be on the lookout with a boy with caucasian skin and brown spikey hair."
Sora suggested, "How about I get back to you when we find Peter and Elizabeth?"
"Fine by me," Jiminy nodded as he hopped on Sora's shoulder, "Let's go!"
With that, Sora picked up the pace...
Meanwhile, Peter leaped from rooftop to rooftop with Elizabeth in his arms. He could definitely lose King Magus's hit squad if he was in costume and started using his web-shooters or he could've used them... he quickly shook his head. He couldn't use them...
...he needed to place to hide to protect his secret identity. Still, he didn't want anything horrible to happen to Elizabeth because of him. Just then, his Spider-Senses started tingling. Nightcrawler and Captain were gaining on them, the former would appear...
ON HIS RIGHT!
Just as Nightcrawler, teleported in, Peter tripped him causing him to tumble to the ground as he avoided the blasts of the half-Kree woman. They soon enough reached a dead end, as Peter muttered, "Oh, that's not good!"
Just then, the two teens turned to the two thugs of Magento. Nightcrawler declared, "By the order of S.H.I.E.L.D., you two are both under-"
Just then, something flew past them both, warped itself, around the teleporting mutant's leg, and threw the unexpected agent into Danvers. Wanda blinked, "Where did that cape come from?!"
Peter knew better though, that was no cape. It was Strange's old Cloak of Levitation. But what was it doing here? It never left the Sanctum while he was just going out as Peter Parker.
Carol looked up, and her eyes widened as the cloak wrapped itself around her head. Muffling as she struggled to get it off herself, "Get... this... off... me!"
The son of Mystique attempted to aid his fellow agent. Realizing what the cloak was doing, he turned to Elizabeth before whispering to her, "Can you keep a secret?"
"Sure," She shrugged in her hoodie, "Why?"
With that, Peter leaped over to the next building as she screamed until he clung onto the building... and stuck there... Elizabeth blinked in disbelief, "Wha...?"
She continued to be dumbfounded as he climbed down to the alleyway below. It was time for him to change clothes... and lose a perfectly good outfit...
Wanda was dumbfounded even as they reached the dark alley. When Peter set her down, she temporarily removed her hood, "You're a mutant?!" She tilted her head, "I thought you were human?"
"I am, it's..." Peter spoke up before frowning, "It's complicated."
Without warning, Peter started removing his shirt, causing her to close her eyes as she blushed hard, "What the-?! What are you doing?!"
"Relax," The boy started, "I'm wearing another outfit under this."
Looking deep into their eyes, Peter was telling the truth... but what he was wearing was not one she expected. It was a colorful outfit in red and blue. Decorated in a web-themed pattern and on his chest was a small black spider logo. When he slid on his red webbed mask with large white lenses, is when she figured out who Peter was.
He was all over the news. He was a mutant vigilante. A hero to some. He was number two for the most wanted.
Peter Parker is Spider-Man?!
But that was impossible! Spider-Man was a criminal! He worked for the human resistance! Peter, from what she gathered, was a really nice guy. With a cute face...
...with a surprisingly well-built body. Spider-Man picked her back up bridal style making her blush. As he quickly apologized, "I'm sorry! I'm sure you've got a million questions! But we got to get out of here!"
"Why?" She then turned around to see more of those Heartless, rise up behind them. Wanda's eyes widened in horror, "Oh... that's why..."
He then held his hand and placed two fingers on his palm and a stream of web launched from his wrist before he pulled them upward. Despite being far from the shadow monsters, she screamed as they went higher and higher into the sky...
Back with the S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents, Kurt and Carol desperately tried to remove the cape before it finally let go allowing Carol to breathe. The cape followed one of the suspects, who was being carried by S.H.I.E.L.D. Number Two Most Wanted. Agent Danvers reached for her coms., "All agents! Be advised! The suspects are being aided by Spider-Man! They're resistance!"
"Acknowledged, Agent," Agent Drew nodded, "Orders still stand! We bring them in alive for questioning! Hopefully, we can get them to spill where they're hiding and end the war!"
"Understood," Captain Marvel nodded, as she and Agent Kurt Darkhölme went to pursue their suspect's alley: Spider-Man...
Sora had also encountered the Heartless, but wasn't anything he couldn't handle. He could feel himself getting a little stronger and getting some more of his magic back. He blasted a whole group with fire as they exited the alleyway. As he looked both ways, Jiminy peeked out from his hoodie, "Do you see them?"
"Well, I think we lost the agents but we may have also lost Peter and Elizabeth," Sora frowned before lightly perking up, "But we'll find them. They couldn't have gone too far."
"Golly, I hope you're right, why if anything happened to that girl, I-" The alternate Jiminy frowned before he gasped in horror, "Watch out!"
Sora turned just in time to see a net launched at him. With quick and swift movement, he cut the net in two with his Keyblade before it could trap him. He turned to who fired the net. A shark-like alien aimed his massive gun at him, "FREEZE! By the order of S.H.I.E.L.D. you are under arrest!"
Sora knew him, not personally but he had seen the notes Aqua, Terra, and Ven wrote during their journeys. Before his time. That was Captian Gantu. He was the security for the Grand Council Woman in Deep Space and Stitch's former jail keeper. Beside him was a thug he knew. The oversized cat and from where he was from a lackey of Maleficent: Pete!
However, the two with him took him back for a shock. As he knew them as friends back home. Beast and a very skinny Hercules.
He had no problems going against Pete and Gantu, but he didn't want to fight his friends. Hercules's eyes narrowed, "Don't make this harder than this needs to be, stay down..."
"Sorry, I don't want to fight," Sora closed his eyes mentally reminding himself that these weren't the friends he knew. His eyes opened and narrowed in determination, "But I have friends who are counting on me and I'm not going to let you stop me!"
With that, Pete and Beast charged in first, the latter letting out a mighty roar. Sora smacked the former away with his Keyblade before he hoped over Beast. Using his Keychain like a grapple once more, he made contact with the rooftop and pulled himself upward avoiding the swipe of Gantu's massive hand. He could hear Herc whistling. He knew what that meant. He was probably calling over Pegasus to pursue him.
Another face of a friend going up against him. Who was he going to up next? Donald and Goofy?
Once on the rooftop, he saw Herc on his winged horse going after him with his sword raised. Sora continued to run even as the demi-god pursued him. He ended up having to parry some of the son of Zues's strikes and Pegsus's feet as he moved on to the next building. In an attempt to slow him down, he turned around and aimed his Keyblade at him, "Deep freeze!"
Pegasus swirled around the attack, but it was enough to have Herc land on the same roof he was on. The thin Herc charged at Sora as the two clashed their weapons. Despite how he looked, Sora could feel that he was still mighty in strength.
Thankfully because of the Games back on Olympus Coliseum, Sora knew how Herc in his prime fought. This Herc was nowhere near in comparison as he already knocked this variant down after a few timed strikes. He told the demigod, "I really don't want to fight you, Herc."
The son of Zeus blinked when Sora mentioned him by name, he mentally sighed to himself. He was completely strange to even friends he had known for years. As he left the confused alternate Herc, he continued to run. Just then, he heard a voice whisper over to him, "Psst! Quickly this way!"
Sora glanced to see Peter there, as he gestured over to him, "Hurry! Before they catch up!"
For a moment, he almost did. But something didn't feel right to him. Stopping himself, he realized, if that was Peter, why not mention him by name? And where was Elizabeth? He had a good feeling he would never leave her on her own.
That meant one thing! That wasn't Peter! So he turned tale and ran the other way, using the Keychain on his Keyblade as a grapple gun once again. Jiminy peeked from Sora's hood, "Uh, weren't we trying to find him?!"
"That was not Peter," The Keyblade's Chosen declared as he kept moving...
'Peter's' eyes narrowed as the suspect did not fall for the trick. Mystique sift-shaped back to her natural form as Rogue, Jessica, and Toad peeked around the corner. Her daughter asked her, "How did he know?"
"I don't know," The mother of two shook her head, "He must be smarter than we gave him credit for."
"Guess, we'll have to do things the hard way," Jessica stated, "Stay on him! And be on the lookout! Spider-Man is in the area and is aiding the suspects!"
The other S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents nodded as they continued to pursue the boy with the giant key...
Jiminy couldn't believe the day he was having. He had to deal with a Princess who ran away from home just to spend one day out in the big city. Sure, he was proud of her for being willing to help a starving child. Even if he was human. A starving child was a starving child. He couldn't say he approved of her lying to the two new friends she made. On the one hand, Peter seemed like a trouble maker but on the other hand, Sora seemed nice enough.
...and what was really strange was that he knew Jiminy by name. But hadn't had a clue who Sora was. Did they meet before? As they reached a bump, Jiminy plummeted deeper into Sora's hood. The cricket groaned, "Oh, when will this nightmare end!" Just then he spotted something in Sora's hood, "Hello? What's this?"
It looked like books. Just his size in fact. Upon further inspection, they appeared to be journals. Now he was never one to pry into other people's lives but there was something different about them. Picking up the first volume, he opened up the cover, "What?! How can this be?!"
He skimmed through the pages, "This is my handwriting." Going back to the cover, he noticed the owner of the book was, "Why, that's my name! And my signature!"
Closing it, he blinked, "But when did I ever write these?" Looking back up to the spiky-haired teen and back to the book, he sighed, "Well, guess I have some time to kill until we find Wanda... and well... I guess I'm not intruding on privacy since it's my own book."
Jiminy then opened the first journal and began to read...
Meanwhile, Spider-Man swung himself and Elizabeth from building to building avoiding Captain Marvel and Nightcrawler! He quickly hid behind a billboard advertising the big party on Gensoha which would be televised live! After a moment, he turned to Elizabeth, "Are you alright?"
"Y-yes," She blinked, "I still don't understand though. You're Spider-Man?"
"Yes," He confessed, "But listen. Whatever you heard about me on the news, most of it is untrue. While I have stolen before, I am ashamed of it but I've only taken what I need to survive. And I would never hurt an innocent person. Human or mutant."
After a moment, she sighed in relief, "...I believe you... just... tell me everything when we're no longer in trouble."
"It's fine," Spidey reassured her before lightly joking, "Besides, you're only in trouble if you get caught."
Suddenly, Agent Danvers grabbed Spidey, making the pretty girl land hard on the roof, "Gotcha!"
"I'm in trouble!" Peter's eyes widened in fear under his mask.
"This time there's no esc-" Captain Marvel's eyes narrowed when the Cloak of Levitation attacked, wrapping itself around the half-kree's head again, "Ugh! Seriously! This stupid cape again!"
Letting go of the Wall Crawler, Spidey landed on his feet, "Technically, it's a cloak." He then thanked the sentient cloak of Strange's, "Perfect timing as always, friend!"
He then helped Elizabeth back onto her feet, "You okay?"
She pulled her hood up again as she nodded to him, "I'm fine. Let's keep going!" Just as they were about to move Kurt teleported to them with swords in his hand, as Peter started singing, "Gotta keep~ One jump ahead of the breadline~" Ducking to avoid Agent Kurt's blades, "One swing ahead of the sword~"
Spidey proceeded to warp the son of Mystique in his webs, "I steal only what I can't afford~" Taking Wanda's hand, Peter swung them over to the next building, "And that's everything!"
As they were swinging, Spider-Man's spider-sense flared again. He turned to see Agent Worthington sore right under his web line and used his metal wings to cut it. Wanda screamed while Spidey kept his calm, "One jump ahead of the lawmen~" Firing another web line he caught Angel's leg and his hand unintentionally pulled them to safety at another building, "That's all, and that's no joke~"
Turning to the other S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents coming their way, Peter turned to Elizabeth, "These guys don't appreciate I'm broke~"
With that, Peter used his Spider-Stregth to pull Angel crashing into the other Agents and knocking them all over. Agent Worthington glared at the masked vigilante as the lawmen recovered, "Riff raft!"
"Street rat!" The other agents joined in, "Scoundrel!" Angel flung the metal knives from his wings, as Peter made the beautiful girl hide behind the cover of a building, "Take that!"
Spider-Man picked up the teenage girl again as he taunted them, "Try a different tac', guys~"
Peter leaped them over as the agents of S.H.E.I.L.D. recovered, as they declared, "Rip him open~!" Agent Warren reached his coms., "'Round the back, guys~"Spider-Man swung himself and Elizabeth around the city block to avoid the lawmen as he sang, "I can take a hint~ Gotta face the facts~"
Nightcrawler reappeared and cut his next web-line only for Peter and Wanda to be saved by the sentient cloak as it descended their fall, as the Web-head stated, "Could really use a friend or two~!"
They entered an open balcony in order to hide from the agents, only to run into a quintuple of young women, "Ture! Oh, it's sad, Spidey's hit the bottom~ He's become quite the menace of our time~"
Peter and Elizabeth walked through the group of girls as some looked at Spidey with attraction in their eyes. It wasn't long before they ran into the mother, dressed in all white as she glared at Peter, "I'd blame parents, 'cept he hasn't got 'em~"
Walking to the opposite window, Elizabeth apologized, "We're really sorry."
"Gotta eat to live~ gotta steal to eat~" Spidey excused himself as he opened up a window at the opposite end of the house, "Tell you all about it when I got the time~"
With that, Spidey and Elizabeth leaped out the window and the former swung them over to the next building, right where Sora was. The spiky-haired boy brightened up, "I finally found you!" He then turned to Spidey, "Uh, what's with the costume and the cloak?"
"Long story," Spidey admitted, slightly shocked that Sora managed to put it together so quickly that he was Peter under the mask... then again... he was with Elizabeth when they split up.
"And... um... my little friend?" Elizabeth asked hopefully.
Just then, the cricket peeked from Sora's hood, "Safe and sound!"
Okay, that made a total of three people know who he was. He then mentally shrugged to himself, "Eh, it's not like they're the royal family."
Just then, more agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ran in, Peter turned to his fellow teens, "We should keep moving." They nodded as they quickly retreated to ground level to lose the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. only once safely on the ground, more Heartless ran in, "One jump ahead of the slowpokes~ One skip ahead of my doom~"
Elizabeth then raised her hands hand a red mist prevented the Heartless from getting any closer allowing Sora to cut through them. As they followed Sora, cut path, Peter webbed up the path they left, "Next time gonna use a nom de plume~"
As they turned to their left path, they stopped to see Gantu's squad, "There they are!"
Retreating back to the opposite path, Peter lifted Elizabeth as Sora deflected the shark-like alien plasma fire back at their assistants, "One jump ahead of the hitmen~ One hit ahead of the flock~" Nightcrawler then appeared with swords raised, only for Peter to dodge the swings and kept beautiful girl out of harm's way, as Sora proved his sword man skills by easily proving he was the better swordsman, before kicking the son of Mystique away, "I think I'll take a stroll around the block~"
Peter and Sora then leaped over several street vendors as Rogue called out, "Stop thief!"
"Vandel!" One street vendor exclaimed.
Another raised his fist, "Outrage!"
"Scandal!" A mother of a child with really long blonde hair exclaimed.
Soon enough, they found themself surrounded by S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, as Peter set Elizabeth down with his hands raised in defense, "Let's not be too hasty~"
Suddenly, Peter's old flame appeared in front of them for a bit keeping some of the agents back. Felica Hardy, the Black Cat, winked at him, "Still I think he's rather tasty~"
He could feel Elizabeth glaring at the fellow thief for some reason, Spidey lifted her as he and Sora used their skills to get to the rooftops again. As Peter sang to the agents still in pursuit, "Gotta eat to live~ gotta steal to eat~ Otherwise we'd get along~"
"WRONG!" Agents Drew, Danvers, Beast, and Rogue exclaimed. Each one tried to get the group of teenagers, but Peter backtracked to blind Captain Marvel, and subdue Rogue and Beast in his spiderwebs.
Agent Drew seemed to avoid all of Peter's attacks, just as the teens reached the rooftops again, Jessica exclaimed, "Now I have you-" But during the excitement, Elizabeth's hood fell back causing Howlet's second in command to freeze up, "Wait a minute, aren't you-?!"
Elizabeth then blasted her with her own red powers, as she fell back to the ground the teenage girl called out to her, "I'm so sorry!"
As the three teens moved from building to building they ran into more Heartless, Sora's eyes narrowed, "Ugh! This is never going to end like this!"
Peter then snapped his fingers, "I've got an idea!" Removing his sentient cloak, he told it, "Get the S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents to follow you!"
The cloak flew off to do what Peter told it to. Sora blinked for a minute, as he quietly muttered to himself, "Is that cloak related to Carpet."
Peter wasn't sure why Sora would mutter that. Cloaks and carpets were completely different things. Still, he knew he had to pull his plan into action. He told Sora and he carried Elizabeth, "This way! Hurry!"
The spikey teen followed the masked vigilante as the Heartless chased after them. Spidey sang to himself, "One jump ahead of the hoofbeats~ One hop ahead of the hump~"
Spidey entered a dark alleyway as the Heartless followed, "One trick ahead of disaster~" He then spotted the cloak coming in from the opposite end as all of the S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents chased after it, "They're quick, but I'm much faster~" As the cloak latched on to Peter, he turned to both enemy parties, as Elizabeth clung onto him tighter, "Here goes~ Better throw my hand in~ wish me happy landin'~ All we gotta do is jump~!"
With that cue, Peter and Sora launched themselves to the rooftops again, as the Heartless and Magento's thugs ended up duking it out with each other. Sora blinked, "Hey, I'm felling a major déjà vu moment here..."
Turning to Elizabeth, he reassured her, "That should keep them busy. We can get to my place without any hitchhikers following."
Smiling in relief, he gestured to Sora they could hear both parties trying to wipe out the other, "This way! Hurry!"
Meanwhile, Magento walked in the hallways of the castle he built to keep all of his family safe. The world was now a paradise for mutant-kind, and he wasn't going to let any of the humans destroy the utopia he had built. Soon enough, he spotted his youngest daughter, Lorna, approach him, "Father?"
"Yes, my dear," He pleasantly smiled at his youngest daughter, "What can I do for you?"
"Have you seen Wanda?" The young girl with green hair asked him, "I've looked around everywhere but I can't seem to find her."
Eric blinked at this, but still kept his smile, "Can't say I have." He then asked her, "Have you tried asking your brother? You know Peitro can find her in an instant."
And just as he mentioned his name, his only son stopped at his father's side as he whispered, "She did. I've searched the island about five times now. Every inch of the place. She's not here."
Now truly worried, he nodded to him but kept a reassuring smile, "Ah, my mind must be slipping after all these years. I remember Wanda wanting to get some fresh flowers for your mother's resting place before the party this evening. I'm certain you'll see her there."
"Oh, okay," Lorna smiled in relief, "I was worried for a minute." She smiled, "Love you, daddy."
"Love you too, sweetie," The holocaust survivor smiled as she left to prepare herself for the party.
Once out of earshot, Eric turned to his son, "Send a call to Director Howlet. If someone even whispers Wanda's name, I demand an update where it was heard."
"Yes, Father," Peitro nodded, "I'll keep you updated."
With that, he sped off leaving the King of this world alone. He then used his magnetic powers to open a new path to his throne room. On the stand by his thrown, stood his helmet...
...and on it, was a gem that increased his power tenfold. If someone was responsible for taking his daughter...
...there would be Hell to pay!
Meanwhile, Wanda traveled alongside Peter and Sora. The rest of the way to Peter's home went smoothly as they entered what Wanda thought was a condemned building. She turned to Peter, "This is where you live?"
"Yep," Peter nodded as he removed his mask, "Passed down by an old friend. We should be safe in here."
The vigilante shot down a web and lowered himself and Wanda to the ground as Sora did the same with the keychain on his giant key. Peter then guided them to the much grander building inside, "Welcome to the Sanctum Sanctorum. The former home of the Sorcerer Supreme."
Sorcerer? As in a magic user? She didn't know anyone used magic other than the leader of Latveria. She turned to him, "What happened to him?"
"Same thing that happens to everyone else who defies the will of King Magus," Peter sadly answered as he removed the cloak as it hovered midair, "He was killed for trying to help the humans."
Wanda blinked in horror, "Wha...?"
Someone was killed for helping humans? There's... there's no way her father could know about this! Surely, he would never approve. She turned to Sora, who simply shrugged, "First time I'm hearing about this..."
"I'm not surprised," Peter admitted as he opened a draw and pulled out some hand-me-downs, "The higher-ups want to keep it quiet to prevent mutant sympathizers from rebelling."
Higher-ups? Like S.H.I.E.L.D.? Maybe some of her father's political friends? Why would a peacekeeper task force want to keep something like this a secret? Why not take these racists down? Sure, her father never trusted humans but her mother never thought they were all bad. Given his history, her father would never allow someone, not even a human, to live the same kind of childhood he had.
Where there some kind of hidden evil in plain sight that no one was seeing? Like Hydra? The Masters of Evil?
She needed to know more. She then saw the cloak floating over to her. She blinked, "Oh... um... hello?" She then turned to Peter, "How... how is it doing that?"
"It's Strange's old Cloak of Levitation," Peter gestured with a smile, "After Strange died, it sort of stuck with me. Been friends ever since." He then raised up the hand-me-downs, "I'm just going to get dressed so no one sees Spider-Man unmasked through the window just in case there's a mutant or superhuman that can see through illusions. I'll be right back. Please don't touch anything. Some of the things here may try to kill you. Just look at the notes I posted around the old haunted mansion."
After Peter entered a different room, most likely his bedroom, Wanda observed the sentient cloak, "Fascinating." The cloak mimicked her movements causing her to giggle, "What are you saying?"
"Oh, he's saying he likes your hair," Sora spoke up getting her attention.
"Really?" She blinked before turning back to the cloak, "Oh, um... thank you," Wanda then turned back to Sora, "How do you know what he's saying?"
"I happen to be friends with a living magic carpet," The Spikey Haired Teenager explained, "This cloak 'speaks' a similar language."
Wanda blinked in awe, "Cool."
After he saw the cloak perform a few more gestures, she turned to Sora, "Now what he's saying?"
"Well, to be honest, I'm not sure I heard him right," The spiky-haired teenager admitted, "Because I thought he was asking why would a Princess be doing all the way out here with a Keyblade Wielder..." Wanda froze at that, before Sora blinked in realization, "Wait a second... You're-?!"
Before Sora could finish his sentence, the daughter of King Magus covered his mouth and shushed him, "Shhhhhhh!" Looking back to the door where Peter went to get changed, the cloak hovered beside the two of them, she whispered to both him and the cloak, "Okay, I admit it, my name isn't Elizabeth Olsen. I am a Princess. My name is Wanda Magus. My father is the King. I snuck out because..."
Sora removed her hand as he finished, "...you wanted real friends that liked you for being you and not just because you're a Princess."
Wanda blinked in shock as she lowered her hand, "Yes... how did you...? ...are you telepathic?"
"Nope," The boy with the key shook his head, "Believe it or not, this isn't the first time this has happened to me."
"Really?" She blinked as Sora confirmed with a nod, "Small world we live in..." She then turned to him, "So, you won't tell anyone?"
"My lips are sealed unless you say otherwise," Sora promised, "Plus, you're friends with Jiminy, right? He tries to keep you on the straight and narrow path right?"
"Of course," She nodded before wondering, "But how do you know Jiminy?"
Speaking of the cricket, the royal advisor hopped on Sora's shoulder with two books in his arms, "Gosh, you're highness, the answer might be more complicated than you think! Heck, I'm not even sure what to make of it!"
"What do you mean?" The Princess wondered.
The cricket hopped off Sora's shoulder, as the same boy's eyes widened, "Wait, aren't those-"
"When Sora saved me, I hid in his hood when I found these journals," The cricket explained he presented the princess the tiny journals, handing her one of them, as she opened it up, "It's all my handwriting and under my name. But I don't remember ever writing these but according to these, I was friends with Sora along with a wizard and a knight named Donald and Goofy who served a different King. We went on all kinds of crazy adventures battling the monsters we saw today... on entirely different worlds. But I don't recall Sora or any of the events written down in these journals."
Wanda's eyes widened at this as she turned to Sora for an explanation, "Well... it's a long story... but I was friends with a Jiminy Cricket... just not this one..."
The two turned to each other in confusion. Friends with a Jiminy Cricket but not this one. Who else could he be referring to? Especially, if the journals had his name and handwriting inside them. The Princess turned to him, "What do you mean?"
"Sora, right?" Jiminy asked the teen, before continuing, "If you know me, then you know I always say that honesty is the best policy... I know it won't be easy but I think Wanda and I deserve some answers."
"Of course," Sora nodded, "I didn't mean to drag you all in this crazy journey of mine, but you deserve answers. Peter too." He then turned to the Princess, "Don't worry, Wanda, I won't say anything about you being the Princess to Peter... just who I am and why I'm here."
"I suppose that's reasonable," Jiminy smiled, "No need to explain the situation multiple times if you don't have to."
She then smiled and nodded to Sora, "Thank you."
Just then, the door opened up as Peter returned with new clothes on, like before, his spider-suit was probably underneath his current outfit, "Hey, I know you two have lots of questions... so... ask away..."
Wanda blinked between Sora and Peter. The first two friends she made and they had so much mystery between the two of them. Not that she wasn't keeping secrets herself, and Sora only knew because the cloak knew. Still, she figured she could start with the very attractive boy...
"Peter..." Elizabeth turned to the Wall Crawler, "You're Spider-Man... but you're not a mutant? How? Are you from one of the worlds that merged with ours..."
"No, no," Peter shook his head, "My family was born before the merging of worlds. Natural born human. After the King took over, my family was sent to the camps."
"Camps?" Sora and Elizabeth blinked in confusion.
"It's where they send the humans," Peter explained before gesturing to the brand on his eye, "People like me. The folks in charge of the camps brand us with these, so everyone knows we're human. They put us into labor as soon as we were able to walk. The ones that can't or refuse to work are punished harshly..." Elizabeth and Sora gave Peter sympathetic looks as he continued, "I grew up in the nicer ones. There are worse ones out there, I've seen them. When my parents died, I was raised by my Uncle Ben and Aunt May. We were close friends with the Osborn family, Harry was one of my only and best friends."
"So, what changed?" Sora tilted his head, "How did you get your powers?"
"Well, one day a scientist named Hank McCoy," Peter continued, "Took pity on us and thought by finding a way to give us powers we could live with the rest of mutant-kind without cruelty. Hey, history has had it before like Agent Drew, Agent Danvers, and if the rumors are true, Dr. Banner. And those were just by accident. Most of the experiments ended up in failure but I learned a lot from him. Kinda inspired me to become a scientist myself. We even thought we got close to success with controlled radioactivity. But he ran out of time and was forced to move on, but not before a spider got caught in the middle of one of our experiments... not long after it bit me..."
"Wait... you're saying..." Elizabeth blinked as she gestured to Peter, "...that you were bitten by a radioactive spider... and it gave you powers..."
"Well... the next morning... I found out that I no longer needed used glasses, I was built like an athlete, and I had the speed, strength, and agility of a spider I could also cling to any surface and have a sixth sense that warns me of danger," Peter lightly joked as he humorously shrugged, "So... it was a pretty good guess..."
Elizabeth giggled at his human before he went on, "I wish I could've told Dr. McCoy before he left but I figure it could change everything for myself and my family. Heck, even the folks in the camp." He then tightened his fist, "If I could prove to the world that a simple human could have the powers of a spider, that Dr. McCoy's experiment was a success, we could live like actual citizens and be treated like any other person on the planet. But I knew they would never give me a chance unless they didn't know what I was beforehand. So, I made a costume for myself, used the scrapes I dumpster dived for, and took what I learned from Dr. McCoy to make these web-shooters."
"Web-Shooters?" Sora blinked in confusion, "You mean, the webs don't actually come from you?"
"I wish, would have been a whole lot easier and cheaper," Peter nodded as he rolled back both selves, revealing the devices, "Since the spider bite didn't provide the webs, I had to make my own. So, I made these web-shooters. I make web fluid and store it in small pressurized containers then load it into these web-shooters I built."
He handed one of the containers to Elizabeth who examined it. Sora observed the container as she examined it. Elizabeth turned to him, "Wow... you made all of this... that's amazing. How did you come up with all of this?"
"This is just a theory but when I was bitten, the spider passed an instinctive knowledge," The human scientist continued, "On how to combine certain enzymes to make this sticky strong webbing. The trigger is this sensitive electrode located here in my palm." He then showed them the hidden trigger, "It requires exact pressure from these two fingers so I don't accidentally activate it when I make a fist or grab something."
"I... didn't understand most of that," Sora smiled as he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, "But it sounds cool."
"Amazing," Elizabeth whispered to herself before returning the container of web-fuild.
"That's what people call me... well... one of the more positive people anyway," Peter lightly joked, "When they're not calling me a street rat, a menace, threat, and other hurtful words." He then cleared his throat, "And it's not easy coming by the chemicals I need, I'm down to my last few capsules of web-fluid and I can't afford much more unless one of my friends within the resistance gives me an odd job."
Elizabeth's eyes widened as Peter reassured her, "They're not as bad as the news makes them."
"So... what did you do with your new powers and webs?" Sora wondered, "If not to help people then?"
"Well, I actually got into show business," The Web-Head explained, "I got into mutant wrestling and figured once I started getting interviews and movie offers, I could show the world that it is possible to give humans mutant-like powers and we could be treated like actual people." He then closed his eyes with regret, "Except after one match, a robbery took place near the locker room. The crook ran right by me. I didn't even need to do much. I could've stuck my leg out and tripped him or held him down until security could catch up. But I looked the other way, I figured I wasn't a cop. I'd leave crime fighting the cops or S.H.E.I.L.D. It wasn't my problem."
Elizabeth blinked in shock, as she seemed surprised, unlike him, "What changed?"
"The next day, when I got home, I saw our building was blown to bits," Peter explained with deep sorrow, "I immediately went looking for answers, and I found Mr. Osborn there. He was looking for me. Harry was okay, but a dangerous mutant criminal tried to throw off the police but cutting through the camps. He caused a lot of destruction but my Aunt and Uncle evacuated everyone from the building they were staying... even the guards who had always abused us... but they... they didn't make it."
Elizabeth's and Sora's eyes widened in horror. Peter frowned, "I couldn't believe they were gone, and the man responsible was still at large. But I overheard a couple of S.H.E.I.L.D. Agents had tracked him down to an old Setinal factor. It could hold off an army in that old death trap, but I didn't care... I wanted the man responsible for taking the only family I had left! And nothing was going to hold out on Spider-Man..."
Just over a year ago, Peter swung down to the old Setinal factor, surrounded by S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. He made sure to avoid their attention as he broke into the abandoned facility. He searched the whole building until he found the man he was looking for.
He saw him avoiding the spotlight, masked so no one could see his face. The criminal grumbled to himself, "Blasted S.H.I.E.L.D. agents! I don't care who they send..." The flames from his flame throwers, "I'll burn them all to a crisp to get outta here!"
"That's exactly what I was hoping to hear...!" The flame manipulator froze as he looked up to see Spider-Man stuck to the wall with his eyes narrowed at him, "MURDERER!"
Startled, the murderer of his beloved Aunt and Uncle launched balls of fire at the Wall Crawler but he easily dodged the attacks before they could land. Flipping over his Aunt and Uncle's killer, he shot a web line behind him and threw himself at the murderer's back knocking him onto the floor. The killer groaned, "What the-? What are you?! Some hummie sympathizer?! Some sort of psycho?!"
"You took everything from me..." Spidey glared at him through his mask.
The killer blinked as he shook his head, "I don't even know who you are."
"You will," Peter marched up to his Aunt and Uncle's killer. The murderer launched more waves of fire forcing Peter to leap back, as he thought to himself, "Wait a moment... he's not actually creating the flames... he can only manipulate it. Which means I just need to cut it off and he is mine!" He then noticed the pack on his back, "Hello~"
Spider-Man then flipped over the killer, before shooting webs on his back and yanked the pack off his back. The villain's eyes widened in horror when his flames died, "No..." Another web line attached to his back and he too was yanked back and thrown into a pile of empty crates. The killer groaned as he got back on his feet, "I... I gotta get out of here!"
"Mister!" Spider-Man marched up to the killer, "There's no place where you can hide from me!"
With his flame throwers out of commission, the murderer charged at the Web-Head in a blind rage, hoping to get the masked man before he got him. However, a single punch from Spidey, was sent near the windows. He tried to get up but fell back down, completely defeated and defenseless, as he turned back to his assailant, and slowly approached him. He raised his hands as he begged for his life, "D-don't... don't hurt me?"
"Was that a request?" Peter growled as he approached his family's killer, "Or are you quoting from someone else tonight?!"
"I-I never meant to-"
"SAVE YOUR EXCUSES!" Spidey snapped as he lifted him in the air, "ALL I WANT IS TO HEAR YOUR SCREAMS!" He then smashed him through the window causing him to scream, he thought of just letting him fall to the ground when the light shined on his face, revealing a face Peter recalled seeing before. Peter's anger vanished in an instant, "Th-that face... Oh... no... not you! NOT YOU!"
It was the crook from the area. The one that ran past him. The realization finally stuck with the human teen, "I could've stopped you in the locker room!" Guilt soon followed as he thought to himself, "I could've saved Aunt May and Uncle Ben... Oh, God... What have I done?"
Both Sora and the secret Princess turned to Peter completely stunned, as Peter looked down with guilt. Even Jiminy couldn't help but gasp, "Golly..."
"Wait, you say... the guy you let go..." Sora blinked in shock and horror.
Wanda slowly finished Sora's thoughts, "Was the same man... who... took your family..." She lightly touched her mother's necklace as she turned back to Peter, "I know what it's like to lose a parent to a violent crime... but... this... I couldn't imagine if I was responsible for..."
Seeing the guilt on his face, Wanda shook her head, "No... it wasn't your fault... you couldn't have known what would've happened."
"I know... the problem at the time... I didn't care..." Peter closed his eyes, "And my Aunt and Uncle paid the price for my selfishness."
"What happened to the killer?" Sora wondered, he then hesitated to say, "Did you-"
He then placed his pointer finger and stroked it across his neck, before Peter shook his head, "No.. I didn't..."
Spidey had his family's killer, Allerdyce, at his mercy, ready to drop him at any moment. Before any S.H.E.I.L.D. agent had the chance to stop him. Peter's eyes narrowed, "I should drop you. Take from you want you took from May and Ben Parker!" With that, Spidey let go, as Pyro found himself screaming as he dropped to the Earth below, but right before he could hit the pavement, another web caught him stopping his fall. Looking back up, Spider-Man stood tall, "But they'd never approve..." It was that day he learned what they've always tried to teach him. The Parker motto, "With Great Power, comes Great Responsibility."
"After that, I thought of turning myself in," Peter continued as "Elizabeth" and Sora listened to his tale, "S.H.E.I.L.D. had me cornered and there was no way I could've escaped. Not sure what they'd done. Whether to lock me up or recruit me, it didn't really matter at that point... that's when things got a little... Strange."
Peter could hear them coming but made no move to escape when something sparkled underneath his feet. He blinked in shock, "What the...? What is- WHOA!"
He suddenly fell through a portal, and before he had the chance to catch himself with his weapon, the portal closed behind him. Peter screamed as he fell for a minute, then reached the other side of the portal, landing with a thud. He groaned, "Okay... that was a little more painful than I thought it was going to be."
He then blinked and looked around to see he wasn't in a S.H.E.I.L.D. base. More like an old mansion, "Okay..." He observed the room around him, trying to make out where he was, "Uh... where am I...?"
"The Sanctum Sanctorum." Peter leaped behind him, startled to see a man in blue robes stained with blood. He lightly joked, "Sorry, I didn't have time to neaten up on Wong's behalf before summoning you here." He chucked before coughing, "May he rest in peace."
Peter was so shocked to see this man dying before him, that he removed his mask and ran over to his side, "Oh... oh man... you're hurt..."
The man chuckled, "You should've seen the other guy..."
"I'm going to get you to a hospital..." Peter moved in to grab him...
...but the injured man stopped him, "No, Peter... even if S.H.E.I.L.D. wasn't looking me... no hospital would be willing to help a Sorcerer who's been aiding the human race and defying our 'benevolent' king... besides as a former surgeon myself... I know a dead man when I see one..."
Peter blinked in shock, "You know me?"
"I don't have much time to explain, but my name is Dr. Stephen Strange; Sorcerer Supreme..." Strange introduced himself as he clutched his wounds, "And in a few minutes, I'll be dead, and God will judge my soul. So listen up..." He gestured to the building they were in, "This Sanctum has been protecting stuff deemed too powerful for mankind even before the merger of worlds... it was my job to not only protect it but to pass it down to the next Sorcerer Supreme..."
He turned to Peter, "I'm obviously not so successful with the latter... that is why I'm counting on you to protect it..."
"Me?!" Peter blinked in shock, he shook his head, "No... I'm the guy who got his own family killed because I looked the other way... you have to find someone else!"
"Peter... you screwed up... we all have at one point..." Strange told him, "But you... you had the chance to kill the man who took your family but you spared his life and see to it that he faces justice for what he's done. You know the burden of responsibility that came with your great power... there's no one else more suited for this job... besides you're all I have left... and you among several others... are the multiverse best chance of surviving what's coming..."
"What's coming?" Peter blinked with the Cloak of Levitation and flew up to him, "WHAT THE HECK?!"
"It's okay, he's friendly," Strange stated. Whether he was reassuring Peter about the cloak or the cloak about Peter, the teenager would never know. He then slowly reached for his necklace, and removed it, handing it to Peter, "Protect the Sanctum and above all else, protect this..." Spidey took the golden eye, as Strange took his hand and gave Peter a serious look, "Remember what you've learned so you'll know when to use it... Promise me..."
Peter was overwhelmed by this new information, before nodding, "I promise..."
"Strange died from his wounds not long after," Peter revealed to the other teens before gesturing to the Cloak, "Cloaky, here... showed me some notes we wrote before passing... including what to protect, what not to touch unless I wish to die a horrible death, and contact for the resistance whenever I need to make money for food and web-fluid."
Sora blinked in shock, "The resistance?" He then brightened up, "That means you know Leon!"
The other teens, Jiminy, and the sientant cloak turned to him, as Peter blinked in shock, "You know Leon? Wait, are you with the resistance?"
"Well, not exactly," Sora rubbed the back of his head, "But I know Leon... he's an old friend..."
"You mean... how we are..." Jiminy pointed out as he held up his counterpart's old journals, "Even though we've never met until today."
"Okay... wait..." Peter blinked now even more confused.
Jiminy turned to the Web-Head, "Young man when were on the run from S.H.E.I.L.D. and those monsters, the Heartless, as the Journals call them... I discovered these two journals, written my handwriting, with my name and signature inside. Now, I never wrote these journals, but Sora knows me like we've known each other for years..."
"That is also confusing for me," The secret Princess gestured to Sora, "As I've known Jiminy all my life but I never met Sora until today... and the Destiny Islands are not far from here... just a boat ride away."
"Well... it's a little complicated..." The Keyblade's Chosen tried to explain, "You see... the thing is... I'm not... from your universe..."
"What do you mean you're not from our universe," 'Elizabeth' blinked in confusion while Peter's eyes widened in awe.
"I'm from another universe... where the worlds are still separated..." Sora revealed to everyone.
Everyone was stunned by this realization, as Peter smiled in awe, "The multiverse is real... I mean... Strange told me in his dying breath... but I thought that was theoretical. That changes how we understand the initial singularity." Wanda and Jiminy turn to him, confused as he goes on, "We're talking about an eternal inflation system. How does that even work with all the quantum...? It's insane." He then noticed how everyone was completely clueless to what he was saying, "Sorry. It's really cool."
"It's fine... you're smart... you're cute..." Wanda smiled at him before she realized what she said, blushing hard, "I mean! It's cute, not...! That's not saying you're not attractive... but..." Soon, the daughter of Magento looked away, "You know, what... I'm just going to stop talking..."
"Another universe outside our own..." Jiminy gasped in shock, "Unbelievable... but it would explain the Journals of events that never happened here. And you certainly couldn't fake my own handwriting." The cricket then turned to him, "That being said... what are you doing here? According to the journals, you should be back on the Islands after you and your friend named Riku stopped someone named Xemnas from gaining Kingdom Hearts."
"Oh, you're missing a journal," The teen explained, "The latest journal you, well, the 'you' I know, made digital and put on our new GummiPhones..." He then pulled out his own phone showing him, causing Jiminy to smile at that, he then frowned, "Long story short, I sacrificed everything to save my friends and save my universe. But I broke the rules of time doing so, so I was banished to a place called the Final World. A final resting stop for hearts before moving on... then I was attacked by a video game character... and lost most of my powers... and that's where I met someone called the Watcher..."
Everyone listened to Sora with great interest, he told him what was at stake, and how he was chosen by the Multiverse to save it from Multiversal Villains. He even explained how he learned to travel to other universes, and how he ended up in their universe, "...and that's when I met you guys."
Jiminy and the teens stared at Sora in confusion, as Wanda admitted, "Okay... that's... a lot to take in..."
"So, let me get this straight..." Peter slowly recalled Sora's tale, "After a universe died, six Infinity Stones escaped its destruction which, by the way, somehow made them more powerful than they already were merging the worlds together in a crazy jigsaw puzzle and now these same Stones, founded by the worst of the Multiverse, threaten to destroy it all..." He then slowly walked up to Sora as Wanda, Jiminy and the Cloak turned to the Keyblade's chosen, "...and the one person the Watcher chose the entire Multiverse to save these worlds... is you?"
Sora merely shrugged in response, "Eh, I've faced worse odds..."
"But last time you had Donald and Goofy," Jiminy pointed out, "A-and the other me too! You really think you can save the entire multiverse... all by yourself."
"Well... you're not wrong..." The spikey teenager crossed his arms, "Which is why I need to find Leon. He'll know how I can get this universe's misplaced Infinity Stone and get me the friends I need to help me. Maybe there's a Keyblade Wielder there too, who can be a part of the Guardians of the Multiverse."
"What makes you think you can trust this Leon," 'Elizabeth' asked the spikey-haired teen, "He might be a friend in your universe but on this one, he's a criminal. A terrorist."
"Hey, look at me," Peter stepped in front of the secret Princess, "They call me a Street Rat, Criminal, and I've helped the resistance every so often. You think I'm a terrorist?"
"Wha..." Wanda's eyes widened, "No, of course not!" She then admitted, "Sure, you've made some very bad mistakes... choices... but you're not a terrorist. You're not a killer." She then turned to Sora, "What makes you think he'll know how to find this... Infinity Stone?"
"Oh, I know where it is," Sora reassured her, "The Watcher showed me."
"Oh," She brightened up, "You... you just need directions. I'm sure that can be easily obtained..."
"It's on Genosha," Sora revealed to them, as he awkwardly glances at Wanda, knowing this next part would be hard to explain, "...Magento, the King, has it."
Wanda was completely stunned, "...what?"
"Wait a minute," Jiminy turned to Sora, "This stone of yours. Was it like a purple glowing stone?"
"Yep," He nodded, as he snapped his fingers, and pointed to the conscience.
"Okay, I see why you need Leon then," Peter admitted as he took a deep breath, "You can't exactly just expect to take a boat ride to the island, let you walk in, take the source of the King's enhanced power and walk out."
"Exactly," The Keyblade Weilder nodded, "I doubt if he'll just give it to me just by asking."
"But you said Multiversal threats had the Stones," 'Elizabeth' pointed out, "The King is good and kind... He wouldn't use the Stone to abuse his power..."
"Now, I'm sure there's a good explanation," Jiminy reassured her, he then glanced at Sora, "Now, I doubt you're the kind of young man to make accusations without proof. What exactly did the Watcher show you?"
"Well, he showed me the last time he and a man named Charles Xavier fought each other," Sora explained, "It was ages ago, right before the merger of the worlds... but then the Stone crashed there and..."
"Hold on... you said my fath-" Wanda started before quickly correcting herself, "King Magus and Charles Xavier fought each other? Why? He's always spoken very highly of him, why would they fight each other..."
"Well, I don't know all the facts, but I think Charles was trying to protect the humans from him," The Spikey-Haired warrior explained while looking at Wanda with sympathy, "What did you hear?"
"Well, that he and King Magus worked together to create this paradise," She explained, "But the humans tried to stop them... and Xavier was killed saving his life."
Peter then stepped forward, "Wait, when Watcher showed you the past, did he show you what happened to Xavier? Was he killed?"
"He looked hurt," Sora admitted, "But nothing fatal... he looked like he was going to be okay..."
Peter then thought to himself, as 'Elizabeth' turned to him, "Peter?"
"If there's a chance Charles Xavier is still alive... and the King is just holding him somewhere..." Peter thought aloud, "The resistance might be interested. And that's on top of the fact you can wield the Keyblade."
"Keyblade?" Wanda blinked.
"Wait, there's a Keyblade Master here?!" Sora beamed, "That's great! Who is he? Or she? Is it King Mickey? Master Aqua? Riku?..." He then asked a little hopeful, "...Kairi?"
"Well, in order to protect his identity, he's sort of remained in the shadows," Spidey revealed, "But if you show up, tell Leon what you told us... he might be willing to help you and Keyblade Master might want to meet you..."
"Yes! YES!" Sora beamed, "So you'll help? You know where to find him?"
"Well, I know a guy who knows," Peter sighed, "But given what's at stake... I'll see if I can try contacting him... he may be willing to meet us." After another pause, as he lightly smiled, "Can't exactly be a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man if there's no neighborhood to protect."
Sora chuckled at that, as he turned to Wanda and her advisor, "What about you Elizabeth... Jiminy? I know this must shake your faith in your King, but... well... I can use all the help I can get..." He then turned to the latter, "And... well... I could really use someone who knows what's right and wrong to help me do what's right."
"Well, someone willing to listen to their conscience," Jiminy lightly smiled, "Gee, if only someone else I know had her head screwed on straight." Wanda pouted at him, "Well... I'd be honored... but I promised this young lady's mother that I would be there for her... so that's entirely up to her..."
"You don't have to say yes," Peter told Wanda, "I can always just drop you off at home where it's safe... and can just say it was a rough day..."
Wanda didn't know what to think. She just wanted to see what the world was like outside of Genosha. Make some new friends who didn't see her as another Princess. Not getting caught in the middle of this multiversal... cosmic... end of the world... thing. This seemed like more of a job for S.H.I.E.L.D. The Pros. The real heroes...
...if her father wasn't the one holding the Stone that may be the cause of destroying everything.
She's seen the Stone before. Heck, she always saw it proudly showing on her father's helmet. The Stone helped her father bring peace to the world. She could feel its power being around it... even as a child. It was unlike anything she ever felt. She couldn't have imagined that it would be the cause of destroying everything she knew and loved.
She was grateful Sora was keeping his mouth shut about who she really was, and he looked like he didn't want to force her to go against her own family. Her own father. Heck, Peter didn't even know the full truth and he was offering her a way out.
Okay, let's think of her options, on the one hand, maybe she could go straight to her father. Maybe if she explained the situation to him, he'd completely understand. Heck, it's been years. He probably didn't need the Stone anymore...
...but how was she going to convince her father that Sora was from another universe sent to save them all? Heck, what's to stop her father from assuming the worst and locking both Peter and Sora up, and she'd never be able to see them again?
On the other hand, she could exactly trust Leon, the leader of the human resistance, the person responsible for taking her mother's life. She knew Sora trusted another version of him and Jiminy seemed to like the strange visitor from another universe. And Peter was a good guy...
...the news she was learning today really hurt her inside. Human camps? Hungry children on the streets? People of high authority killing people for helping humans? How could this happen under her father's noise?
...wait, if she went with them, she could find out the truth of what really going on. Who's really behind the horrible things that's been done to good humans like Peter? Find the real multiversal villain! And if she helped save the multiverse... then that was a bonus and her father could let her outside the island more often seeing how strong and independent she was like her mother.
"Okay, I'll help too," She nodded, "But if this Leon is not the man you two think he is..."
"...then I'll stop him myself," Sora raised his hand, "I promise." That satisfied the secret Princess, hopefully, if things came to worse, it would satisfy her father and not arrest her new friends for actually stopping a terrorist group if what was said on the news was true. She then turned to Peter, "So... where do we meet this contact of yours?"
"I need to make a call," Peter told them, "Hopefully... he'll believe me..."
Meanwhile, King Magus awaited in his thrown room when an old purple stuffed bear, by the name of Lotso, who was the head of his staff greeted him, "Sire, Director Howlet has arrived with that update you requested."
"Very good," Eric smiled, "Send him right in."
"At once, sire," The Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear gave a bow as he walked away to do so.
Magento then picked up his helmet with the Power Stone and placed it on, which instantly increased his power. His eyes narrowed, as the director entered the room with Agent Drew, his second in command, entered the room as they bowed before him. He nodded to him, "Well, director, where is my daughter?"
"Your Majesty, Agent Drew discovered something during a pursuit of some suspects this morning," Howlet reported as he turned to the agent, "Tell 'em what you told me."
"Sir, this morning we chased a couple of suspects for the murder of one Paul Rabin," She reported, "One we were easily able to identify as the human known as Peter Parker, a common thief. He had two accomplishes with powers before Spider-Man came to their aid..."
"So, they were Resistance," Magento raised an eyebrow, "What does this have to do with my daughter..."
Jessica hesitated to answer as the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. told her, "Agent Drew..."
Clearing her throat, she answered, "Before I could arrest any of the suspects... I was able to identify one of them during the pursuit... your daughter was among them-" She suddenly found herself frozen and lifted in the air as she groaned in pain, "Sire... please..."
"With my stone of power, I can easily end your life through the iron in your blood," He warned her, "I'd choose what I'd say next if I were you, Agent Drew..."
"I- I don't know... she attacked me... help them escape..." She reported realizing she was digger her own grave unless she gave him something he wanted to hear, "...the third suspect he... wielded a giant key..."
After another moment, she dropped her, and Holwet came to her aid. Magento muttered to himself, "So... our mysterious Keyblade Master has finally come out of hiding..."
"I've got Pan and Agnel sweeping the area, if the Keyblade Master is here, Leon ain't too far behind," Wolverine told him, "As soon as we get a trace on 'em, they'll report in and we can bring an end to the resistance, once and for all."
"I hope so, Director," He stood up, "But I want it done right, and my daughter safe..." He walked up to the director, "I need you to help me wake him up... bring me the Winter Soldier..."
James's and Jessica's eyes widened at the King's orders, as the former asked him with caution, "Sire... are you sure... after what happened last time-"
"This time, you will be very clear on the orders," Magento cut the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. off as he stood face to face with him, "Because if anything happens to my daughter... then I will hold you personally responsible." He then walked past them as he told them, "I will meet you in the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier."
As the King left the throne room, the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. turned to their ruler in concern, praying that he was making the right choice...
"Listen, I'm telling you that he's here right now," Wanda could hear Peter speak on an old wired phone, honestly, she didn't think those were still around. She couldn't help but wonder who he was talking to. He nodded, "Yes, yes... another wielder of the Keyblade. He has vital intel about Magento and he wants to join up..."
Sora was currently sharing about Jiminy's, or well his counterpart, most current journal. Find the missing piece of their new key-swinging friend's journey before he came to their universe. While, she was also curious about Sora's full story, as he was the first friend she made from another universe... or well... the first time she met someone from another universe...
...she had this sudden urge to learn about Peter. He was the first human she really befriended and met. Well, the first one that wasn't an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., of course, they all had powers... not that Peter didn't also have powers... it was just that... he was... he was interesting. Out of all the guys she met, she could really feel like she could relate to him. She couldn't exactly explain why though. Peter shook his head, "No, no! This isn't a joke! He's here! With me! Right now!"
As he tried to convince, whoever, he was talking to, Wanda glanced around the room he was in. She spotted a couch with a few pillows and a blanket lying on it in a mess. She also found an old photo lying on the side table, and it was a photo of Peter with broken glasses and an older couple with the same brand marks the same as his. These must have been his Aunt May and Uncle Ben, she could hear Peter exclaim, "Yes, I'm serious! The world, as crazy as it is, is at stake here! Just... just give us a chance to meet with Leon and your Keyblade Master... please... I promise you it'll be worth it."
Glancing to Wanda, she set down the photo, giving him an apologetic look. Peter smiled as he waved to her, before turning back to the photo, "Look... um... I think this guy was the kid Strange said you guys were searching for..." After a moment, Peter's smile returned, "Oh, great, great! We'll see you tonight then! Thank you!"
He then put down the phone, as he smiled at the Princess, "We're in luck. The resistance is within the city. My contact should take us right to 'em after sunset." Wanda smiled at that as Peter glanced at the couch and he apologized, "Sorry..." He then quickly piled the pillows and folded the blanket, "I wasn't really expecting company here... well... ever."
"Why?" Wanda wondered.
"Cause I'm pretty sure most of the bedrooms here are haunted," Peter answered.
"No, I mean, why do you expect to live here alone?" The secret Princess shook her head, "You're a good and kind man. You really expect to live your life alone? No friends? Family?"
"Well... I am the guy who got his own family killed... most of society shuns me as both Peter Parker and Spider-Man... I'm both a hero and a thief which really contradicted each other," The Web-Head shrugged, "Heck, I help a resistance that's fighting the losing war. My future's not exactly looking too bright."
"So... you really just plan to steal to survive, try to help the innocent while running from the cops as you grow old in an ancient magic building," Wanda looked to him in deep concern, as she gestured to a golden eye necklace, "...while protecting some necklace from a wizard."
"Okay, first, he was a sorcerer," Peter raised a finger.
"I may be new to the concept of actual magic," 'Elizabeth' retorted with a smirk, "Even I know, a sorcerer is just a wizard without a hat."
The superhuman rolled his eyes in amusement, "Second, it's not just any necklace, it's the Eye of Agomotto. Strange said it's one of the most powerful artifacts in our universe, even before the worlds' merged into this hodgepodge Earth."
"So... what does it actually do?" She wondered, "I mean, if it's so important, it must do something."
Peter stared at the eye, before shaking his head, "It's not really important at the moment..." He then asked, "So, what about you?"
Wanda crossed her arms, "What about me?"
"I take it you have an overprotective father with connections to S.H.I.E.L.D., and you want to live your own life, so you snuck out behind your father's back," Peter guessed causing Wanda's eyes to widen in shock. Before she could ask how he knew, "Well, it was kinda obvious, you being unaware of what's been going on with us, humans." Peter glanced at her, "Is your father anyone I know? Someone I should try to avoid as humanly possible."
Mentally sighing in relief that he hadn't figured out everything about her, she shook her head, "Well... I'm kinda hoping I can change his perspective... once we figure out... well..." She then gestured to the world around her, "...all of this."
"So, you haven't even called or... what's the word... texted him?" Peter rubbed the back of his head.
"Of course not," Wanda shook her head, before muttering to herself, "Mostly because I forgot my phone along with my wallet..." She then stated, "Ever since we lost mom, he's been super overprotective of me and my sister. Heck, he even has my brother on a short leash. I felt my life wasn't going anywhere until I left home..."
"I know how you feel..." Peter nodded, "This lifestyle... that you feel like you're forced into..."
"...makes me feel so..." Wanda continued when they both unknowingly finished each other's thoughts, "...trapped."
Both their eyes widened in shock before they smiled at one another. Wanda found herself wandering getting closer to Peter, as he wondered, "So, your thoughts on the human race so far..."
"I know there's a lot of bad blood between our two races," The secret princess admitted, "...but I never once thought you were all bad. God knows mutants haven't always made the best choices, either. What I learned earlier today is proof of that. But if I can prove to my father of that, maybe... things will finally change and we can live on this world together in peace..."
"Well, I'll be rooting for ya..." Peter smiled at her.
"So, what do you think if we met, under normal circumstances," Wanda scooted to her, "If our lives weren't burned by responsibilities..."
"Hmm... well..." Peter thought to himself before answering her, "I close my eyes and I can see~ A world that's waiting up for me~ That I call my own~"
"Through the dark, through the door~ Through where no one's been before~ But it feels like home~" He continued to sing as Wanda smiled as he took her hand as they ran across the Sanctum, "They can say, they can say it all sounds crazy~ They can say, they can say I've lost my mind~ I don't care, I don't care, so call me crazy~ We can live in a world that we design~"
"'Cause every night I lie in bed~ The brightest colors fill my head~ A million dreams are keeping me awake~" Peter sang as they entered the building's old library, running around a old statue of a monk, with the title label underneath: 'Do what I say... or you probably will die... in fact, you probably will die...' The Web-Head continued, "I think of what the world could be~ A vision of the one I see~ A million dreams is all it's gonna take~"
Peter then hopped on a latter and rolled himself across the selves, "A million dreams for the world we're gonna make~"
Wanda smiled before joining along in the song, "There's a house we can build~ Every room inside is filled~ With things from far away~"
Peter rolled himself back to the Princess, "The special things I compile~ Each one there to make you smile~ On a rainy day~"
Wanda smiled at that as she joined him, "They can say, they can say it all sounds crazy~ They can say, they can say we've lost our minds~" The two superpowered teens rolled along, "I don't care, I don't care if they call us crazy~ Runaway to a world that we design~"
As Jiminy was going through his counterpart's entry on Sora's GummiPhone, when one the second floor, the two native teens ran across, as Peter sang "Every night I lie in bed~ The brightest colors fill my head~"
"A million dreams are keeping me awake~" Wanda sang as Sora, Jiminy, and Cloak turned to them.
"I think of what the world could be~" They sang as the Royal Advsior saw that they were holding hands, causing his jaw to drop. Sora, who was frequently seen relationships like this, help Jiminy closed his mouth, "A vision of the one I see~ A million dreams is all it's gonna take~"
Peter and Wanda glanced out the window to the streets of New York, as they watched different animals and mutants walking the streets, as the two smiled, "Oh, a million dreams for the world we're gonna make~"
"However big, however small~ Let me be part of it all~ Share your dreams with me~" Wanda smiled to Peter as they started dancing, "You may be right, you may be wrong~ But say that you'll bring me along~ To the world you see~"
"To the world I close my eyes to see~" The sang together as Peter gave her a twirl, "I close my eyes to see~"
"Every night I lie in bed~" Peter sang to her quietly falling in love with the girl, "The brightest colors fill my head~"
"A million dreams are keeping me awake~" 'Elizabeth' stared at the Wall-Crawler lovingly.
"A million dreams~" Peter held her close, "A million dreams~"
"I think of what the world could be~ A vision of the one I see~" The two continued to dance and sing, "A million dreams is all it's gonna take~ A million dreams for the world we're gonna make~"
They then gazed into each others eyes, as they sang the final lyrics, "For the world we're gonna make~"
Meanwhile, deep within S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters, Magento and Director Howlet and King Magnus walked within the halls of the flying air base. Just then, Agent Darkhölme approached them, she nodded to James, "My love." She then turned to Magento, "My King. The Winter Soldier has been thawed out and his awaiting his programming and orders."
"Excellent," Eric grinned, "Let us proceed."
Mystique nodded as she lead them to the room. The Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. glanced at the king, "Permission to speak freely, Sire?"
"Granted," Eric nodded to him.
"With all due respect sir," Director Howlet continued, "Given what happened last time we sent the Winter Soldier on a mission, and the fact we know Princess Wanda is among the members of the Resistance; you sure you want to do this."
"What other choice do I have, given the celebration tonight," The King declared, "My daughter immediately took after her mother, and I will not allow her to share the same fate as her. I want to personally give our assassin his orders to make sure he carries them out. How I'm burdened to keep the humans in line so they don't threaten my family or my people." Soon music started to beat as he sang, "I can't help it if humans fear us~ It's genetics! Yeah, they will always such as us~"
"Speak my name, I'll protect our race~ I put the resistance in their place~" He continued to sing as they entered the room with the Winter Soldier strapped in a chair, "I'm passionate, I'm not petulant~ My people praise me for my benevolence~"
He gestured to the room around, "Just look at my family~ I'd give Lorna the latest fashion, that's a fact~ If she really needed that~"
"I'd be there for my son, Peitro~ If his home were to crumble~ Or if he were in trouble~" The King pointed out as he imagined himself with Wanda, "I let you live here for free~ And I don't even charge you rent~ I clean up all your messes~ And I'm always here when you need to vent~"
"I give and give and give and give~ You'd think my children would be content~ And yet you think the rules are meant to be bent~" Magnus rubbed his eyes, "And this is the thanks I get~?"
"This is the thanks I get?"
"And this is the thanks I get?" The King sang.
"And this is the thanks I get?"
"'I love you, daddy~' Ah, that's the least you could say~ There's more, admit it~" The Master of Magtisem continued as Agent Vostokoff pulled out a red book with a black star on it, "'You take care of me and only have these rules to protect me,' thanks~ See this world~? I built it up~"
"And you still complain~? Ungrateful much~? Mm, are you sure that your boldness's not the prob~?" Magento crossed his arms and stared down to the city below, "I'd love to see you try and do my job, oh-ho~! 50 resistance members were executed last year~ Come on, that's a high percent~"
"And now you're questioning your father~? The disrespect I just underwent~ You know I always got your back~" The King went on about his daughter unaware darkness was oozing off of him, "Yeah, really though, it's no sweat~ Since the day you were born and you were never in my debt~ And this is the thanks I get~?"
"This is the thanks I get~?"
"And this is the thanks I get?" He went on further as he stood face to face with the Winter Soldier.
"And this is the thanks I get~?"
"I didn't wanna do this~ I swore I'd never again do this~ But you really left me no choice~" Agent Vostokoff held out the book to him, and gave her a nod, "'Cause the humans will do nothing but destroys~ A gun, a spell, a sword, a camp~? Anything to stop you from leaving my grasp~"
"To this book, I don't wanna be tethered, but~ Desperate times call for desperate measures~" He went on as Melina opened the book.
From there she proceeded to read it in Russian, "Longing. Rusted. Seventeen. Daybreak. Furnace." The man groaned as he tried to block out the words but he couldn't, "Nine. Benign. Homecoming. One. Freight car."
The man finally stopped resisting as Melina closed the book, "Good morning, soldier."
The man replied back in Russian, "Ready to comply."
"Your King is once again in need of your services," She gestured to King Magnus, "He will give you your objective."
The Winter Soldier turned to the King as he held out a photo of Wanda, "The Homosapiens have my daughter, whether she is there willing or is captured, I cannot say. But I want her back alive and unharmed and the leaders of the resistance captured dead or alive. Report your location before you engage them, no mistakes this time. I want my daughter safe and resistance destroyed once and for all."
After observing the photo, the Winter Soldier nodded as the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents freed him from his restraints. King Magnus then wondered, "Now where was I? Oh, yeah~ There's a Keybarer in this town~ And still I remain unbent~"
"Come out now, explain yourself~" He glanced out the window hoping to see his eldest daughter, "I'm sure it's all just an accident~" He then turned to the deadly assassin, he began to equip himself, "Well, whoever finds you first~ Now, that's a command well spent~ Honestly, keeping you safe should be worth every cent~ And this is the thanks I get~?"
"This is the thanks I get~?"
"And this is the thanks I get~?" Magento continued as the Winter Soldier collected his standard weapons.
"This is the thanks I get~?"
"Oh, this is the thanks I get~?" Magnus finished his song as the Winter Soldier went on to carry out his mission, unknowingly being aided by Heartless summoned by the King...
The sun had set when the three teens made their move, quietly around the city. Jiminy was on Sora's shoulder, as the cloak followed them. The spikey-haired teenage boy raised an eyebrow, "So, why did you come along with us?"
While the cape appeared to be silent, Wanda glanced at Sora, "What's he saying?"
"He says he promised Strange that he tag along during a world-ending crisis," He answered before shrugging, "Guess this qualifies."
Wanda wasn't exactly sure how to feel about that, decided to change the subject, "Out of curiosity, have you met another version of me or Peter back in your timeline."
"Honestly, this is the first time meeting any version of you two," Sora admitted, "Still, I'm glad we all met."
"Same," Wanda smiled.
"Sora, isn't there anyone else you know here, that also exists in your timeline," Jiminy wondered, "Other than me I mean... I did recognize some of the names inside the journals..."
"Some of them I saw are working for S.H.I.E.L.D.," Sora shook his head, "Some enemies of mine and some old friends... and I don't want to force someone who's never been in a fight before against the Heartless..."
"Leaving your friend, Leon, one of our only options," Wanda looked at him with sympathy, "I'm sorry, I can't imagine what you must be going through."
"It's fine, I'm sure I'll see more friendly faces soon enough," Sora brightened up, "Maybe the Keyblade Master is someone I know too... like King Mickey or Riku..."
"...or it could be yourself," Jiminy pointed out, "Don't forget there's a chance there could be a version of you somewhere on this world."
"Oh... you gotta point there..." Sora rubbed his head sheepishly, "Still... it would be nice to see Donald or Goofy or..." He shook his head, "I guess it wouldn't be the same though, they wouldn't really know me."
Wanda raised an eyebrow, "Why did you stop there? Who are hoping to see?"
"Uh..." Sora rubbed the back of his head as his face turned red.
"Would this friend be a particular redheaded Princess that you had feelings for even before your first journey?" Jiminy raised an eyebrow.
"Sssshhh!" The Keyblade Bearer shushed the conscience while blushing, "Not so loud about that!"
"Wait..." The secret Princess caught her advisor's suggestion with a smile, "You have a girlfriend back in your universe? Who's a Princess?"
"She's not my-" Sora tried to deny but the blush gave the daughter of the King the answer she needed.
Unfortunately for Sora, she was a sucker for romance novels, "That's amazing! If she's a Princess in your universe, she could be the same in mine. Heck, I actually know plenty of Princesses. I might know her. Tell me her name."
Sora embarrassedly brushed his arm as Peter turned back to them, "So what are you two talking about?"
"I just learned Sora's got someone special back home," The secret Princess told her own crush.
"Wait, like a girlfriend," Peter blinked in shock, "Seriously, dude?"
"And she's a Princess," Wanda smiled slyly.
"Oh, wow!" Spidey blinked in disbelief, "You don't aim low, congrats, man." Sora groaned as he blushed as the Web-Head admitted, "I mean... I never met anyone lucky enough to get royalties interest in my life..."
"Oh... Petey," The eldest daughter of Magento thought to herself, "If only you really knew..."
"Look, guys, it's no big deal..." Sora blushed harder.
"Sora, I think you know my other self well enough to know this old saying," Jiminy smiled to Keyblade Weilder, "Honesty is the best policy. You did just share a Paopu with the lucky girl after all!"
"YOU EVEN SHARED A PAOPU FRUIT WITH HER?!" Wanda squealed with excitement.
Peter blinked in confusion, "Okay... now you've lost me? What's so special about a fruit?"
"My mother told me about this legend about the Destiny Islands, where rare star-shaped fruit grows, " Elizabeth revealed to Peter. She told me that if two people share one, their lives will become intertwined. They'll be a part of each other's lives, no matter what." She then sighed dreamily, "It's so romantic. I know a friend who actually did it."
"Oh... cool... cool..." Peter blinked as if making a mental note to himself, "So~ have you ever... thought of trying it out for yourself?"
"I mean... of course..." Wanda smiled bashfully, "With the right guy... if he offered of course..."
"Huh..." Peter hummed to himself.
"Now you have to tell me," 'Elizabeth' smiled at the spiky-haired teen, "Who's the lucky Princess?"
Before he could say anything else, Peter's eyes widened as he quickly hid the other teens around a corner, as the cloak flew next to them, as several flying S.H.I.E.L.D. agents flew above the streets, once they were out of sight, "Maybe... we should pick this up this conversation for later... when we're not being hunted down by the King's enforcers."
"Fair enough," Wanda whispered as Sora nodded in agreement, as they quickly but quietly picked up the pace.
Soon enough, they peeked around the corner where Peter spotted a closed store, "This is it!"
With that, the three teens ran to the store that was dubbed: Oswald's Wasteland Anquites. Peter gave a knock at the door, when a voice called out, "Sorry, closed for the evening!"
"Oswald! It's me!" Peter quietly called out to the store owner.
The shades of the store opened as two eyes peeked out, "Oh, it's just you, Pete..." He then glanced to Sora, "That the guy?"
Peter gave him a thumbs up, making the figure close the shapes and they could hear him unlocking the door. To their surprise, Oswald was a black rabbit wearing blue shorts, before he gestured to them, "Quick, come inside before someone sees ya."
Doing what they were told the three Teens ran inside before the rabbit closed the door and locked it behind them...
"I gotta say your luck must finally be changing, Pete," Oswald greeted the Wall Crawler, "The bosses and the majority of the resistance happened to be in the neighborhood when you called. To think, a Keyblade Wielder from another timeline visiting our own! Our own Keyblade Master insisted that he had to meet him!"
Sora and Elizabeth stared in awe at the rabbit, the cloak floated alongside them. The rabbit then gestured to the girl, "And I see you have a new friend. A lady one in fact." He greeted the two, "Name's Oswald Rabbit. What are your names?"
"I'm Elizabeth," The girl introduced herself.
"Pleasure," The rabbit took her hand giving it a small kiss.
Wanda blinked in surprise as Sora introduced himself, "I'm Sora and..." He tilted his head, "You look familiar... you wouldn't happen to know Ki- er... Mickey do you?"
"Mick?" The rabbit turned to the spiky-haired teen with a smile, "Of course, I know him! He's my brother!"
Sora blinked in surprise, "Really?!"
"Yep!" Oswald confirmed, "Have the childhood memories to prove it. So what's that crazy mouse like in your timeline?"
"Well, he's a Keyblade Wielder, like me. And he's the King of Disney Castle," Sora answered.
"Oh, no kidding, no surprises there," The rabbit gave Sora a pat, "He's always been a good leader here too, and has a good heart to back that up too."
"You're saying he's here?!" Sora lightly smiled.
"Hate to break it to ya," The rabbit frowned, "But he and his best buds, Donald and Goofy, are on the other side of the world doing what they can to help."
"Oh," Sora frowned at that. Well, that answers the question of whether their mystery Key Swinger was King Mickey. Sora then brightened up, "Well, at least I know they're okay... even if they're not the versions I know."
"Exactly," The rabbit smiled before gesturing to the three, "Now come on. We don't want to keep the others waiting."
With that, the three teenagers and flying cloak flowed the lucky rabbit, unaware that something was shining through the windows...
Agent Tinker Bell had caught sight of the two fugitive boys and one missing Princess, she discreetly followed them, and a flying cape into the antique store. Just then, Peter Pan, decked in a youthful S.H.I.E.L.D. Uniform like herself, flew down to her, "Hey, Tink. Did you find anything?"
Agent Bell jingled as Peter nodded, "You found the fugitives come inside this old antique store with the Princess?" He stroked his chin, "Ozzy must be working with those Codfishes within the resistance." Pan smiled, "Good work, Tink. Let's report this in."
She nodded as they flew toward the evening sky, as Pan reported, "This is Agent Pan. Agent Bell and I discovered that our missing Princess and the fugitives are hiding at Oswald's Wastelands Antiques."
"Good work, Agents," Agent Drew called in, "Return our checkpoint in the area and await further instructions..."
"Roger that, Commander," Peter Pan nodded as the flew towards the said location, "We'll be there soon, over and out."
Unaware to Pan and Bell, the Winter Soldier listened in to their findings and drove his motorcycle towards the old antique store with a small army of Heartless behind him...
Meanwhile, Oswald led the three through a secret entrance to their hidden base, much to Wanda's disgust, it was within the sewers. Mickey's brother reassured her, "Relax. The base is much nicer and neater when we get there. We have our own resources. Wouldn't go in the water though, for obvious reasons..."
She'd believe that when she saw that. Thankfully, Peter offered to carry her, which she gratefully accepted. Was the followed the lucky rabbit, through the sewer, Sora spoke up, "Hey, Wa- Elizabeth... can I ask you something?"
"Go ahead," The secret princess told the teen, "I need to think of anything else besides where we are..."
"Well, you're a mutant, right?" Sora continued, "So you got like a special power... so... what exactly is it?"
"You know I'm kinda curious as well," Peter admitted.
Wanda smiled, that was a fair question, as she answered, "I can create hexes, which I can use to bend reality... but I never used it for combat situations before... just surviving my brother's pranks or redecorating my room."
"It's still a really cool power," Peter admitted, "Mine are lame compared to you two."
"No, they're not, Peter," The secret Princess shook her head, "You've been able to stay a step ahead of the King's enforcers all this time. You are amazing."
"Yeah, besides how many can say they're friends with a flying cloak," Sora gestured to Strange's Cloak of Levitation.
"How many people say they've been to space and traveled the universe," Peter counter pointed out to the Keyblade's chosen, "And travel the multiverse."
"Speaking of... what were they like..." Wanda turned to the spiky-haired teenager, "The worlds... were they still separate..."
"Yep... according to the legend, they were once one," Sora nodded, "But darkness entered people's hearts and swallowed the world whole, but it was rebuilt through the hearts of children. Still skattered. One day, when the true light returns, the worlds will be one again... but naturally instead of the hodgepodge of worlds."
"What's the craziest place you've been to," Peter wondered.
Sora whistled, "Oooh... that's a good question... I've been to a lot of strange places Halloween Town, Monstropolis... oh! And there's this door that sent me to the past and everything was black and white!"
The two stopped as they turned to Sora, puzzled, as Oswald smiled, "Ah... the good old days... simple times... but I won't complain about having color now."
"Wait, that was actually a thing here too?!" Peter glanced at the lucky rabbit in disbelief.
"I did not think that's how color worked in our world," The secret princess added.
"Things were very different back when the worlds split," Mickey's brother stated, "I'm sure our visiting Keyblade Wielder can vouch for that."
After another pause, Wanda remember a certain conversation they were having earlier, making her smile, "You know, you never told us her name..."
Sora froze at that, as Oswald turned to the rest of the group, "Who's name?"
"Oh, his girlfriend," Peter gestured to the blushing hero of the Multiverse.
"Ooh, you have a gal back home," Oswald smiled at the Keyblade Wielder.
Before he could answer, Wanda smirked, "Not just any girl... but a Princess."
Oswald whistled in admiration before wondering, "Royal blood or of Heart?"
While this puzzled the other teens, Sora blinked, "The Princesses of Heart exist here too?"
"Yep, along with Kingdom Hearts," The rabbit nodded, "You may be in an alternate timeline but many concepts, religions, and history are very much identical to each other. At least that's what Howard Stark believed."
"Princesses of Heart?" Wanda asked.
"They're seven maidens of pure heart," Sora explained, "While darkness exists within every heart, they are the rare exception... where I'm from... Kairi is one of them."
"So, that's her name," Wanda smiled, as she tried to think if she actually knew of a Princess Kairi.
"Hey, maybe she's a supporter of the resistance," Peter smiled hopeful for Sora, "She could be our Keyblade Master in this timeline."
"Wouldn't count on it, but it is possible," Oswald admitted, "We've had plenty of political support on the outside. Queen Magda was one of our biggest influencers..."
Wanda froze at that name, Jiminy peeked on Sora's shoulder in shock, "The Queen?! She helped support the resistance?!"
"That's right," Oswald frowned, "She was a good friend to us all. We were broken heart when she died."
"The Queen," Sora turned to Jiminy with a whisper, "Wanda's mother?"
The cricket confirmed with a nod as Wanda slowly realized, "Wait, if the Queen supported you... then... you never-"
"Despite what the news had been saying, we'd never harm the Queen," Oswald told her, "That was a lie S.H.I.E.L.D. fabricated to cover up what truly happened."
Wanda looked horrified at that, as Peter turned to her, "Hey... you okay?"
"I- I'm fine," 'Elizabeth' tried to reassure him...
"Sora, since you know the truth, could you get her to open up for you?" Jiminy turned to the spiky-haired teen, "Because I can tell when Wanda's not fine."
Sora confirmed with a nod, silently making that promise as Oswald smiled, "Aw, we're here!"
"Halt!" A female Scottish voice called down from above, as the teens froze to see archers aiming bows and arrows at them, "State your business!"
"Oh, calm down, Merida!" The lucky rabbit exclaimed, "It's just me, Peter, and our new friends."
"Archers stand down," A new voice spoke up and one by one each one lowered their bows.
Wanda glanced at each archer, as she turned to Peter, "What are archers going to do against an army of highly skilled mutants?"
"Their arrows have been enchanted..." When a woman with silver hair, brown eyes, and light skin appeared from green mist, dressed in red and black attire, "By me..." As she approached them, she approached the group, "Merida, Kate, Clint, and Robin are some of our best archers, if anyone with ill intent came to our little home, they wouldn't make it too far."
She then nodded to the people she seemed to know, "Oswald Rabbit, Peter Parker..." She then glanced to Sora, as he took notice of the light tattoo patterns on her face, "And you must be the Keyblade's Chosen..." She then gave him a gesture, "Show it to me."
Sora nodded as he raised his hand as the Kingdom Key appeared in a flash of light, she then lightly brushed it before giving a satisfied smile, "Welcome, Key Bearer. It has been a while since we've seen another chosen wielder of the Key besides our own Keyblade Master, so forgive me for the mistrust."
"No worries," Sora shrugged, "I actually knew Leon back on my timeline, he didn't exactly trust me at first either. In fact, he attacked me."
"Sounds like something he'd do," The woman confirmed, "Hopefully, this time around things will start more smoothly between you two." She then turned to the secret Princess, still in Peter's arms, "And you... you have great power in you... you are no ordinary mutant... great magick..."
Wanda blinked in shock at her statement, the woman then told her, "Whatever your reasons are for being here, you are welcome. You both are." She then turned to the fox archer, "Let them in."
The fox gave a light tip of his hat with a smile as he pulled a hidden lever opening a secret pathway. The woman then turned to the group, "Follow me, Leon will want to greet you personally..."
Everyone nodded as they followed her inside, and once inside to the newcomer's shock and awe, there was an entire civilization. Wanda whispered to herself, "Incredible..."
"Wow..." Sora smiled as he saw familiar faces such as Eugene and Aladdin greeting each other like they were neighbors. A flying car flew over their heads, as he wondered, "How are you able to pull this off?"
"A couple of you engineers, capable of building whatever we require them to," The woman answered as she continued to lead the group, before she spotted a rollercoaster with a kid with a triangle-shaped head and another boy zoomed past them, "That's them now."
"Hey, Merrin! Hey, Peter! Hey, Oswald!" The triangle-shaped head greeted them before zooming off.
Oswald smiled as he greeted them, "Phineas! Ferb!"
"Ummm... aren't they a little young to be building an entire civilization for a resistance?" Wanda spoke up as she finally walked on her own.
"Why yes, yes they are," The woman, now identified as Merrin, admitted, "But you cannot deny their work..."
"Trust me, this is light work compared to what those boys have done..." Peter whispered to the secret Princess.
"So, you guys just hide out here?" Sora tilted his head.
"We do whatever we can, and this is one of the few remaining bases on Earth," Merrin stated, "We should be grateful Magento has not yet discovered it. Still, we do all we can: free prisoners and slaves who have been unjustly locked up, steal critical information that benefits all, and on occasion recruit those who want to make the world a better place."
Just then, a young familiar girl poofed in with black smoke as she appeared in front of them, "Sup! I was wondering when we'd have another Keyblade swinger on our side!"
"Yuffie!" Sora greeted the young girl.
The ninja blinked in shock, "Huh?!" She tilted her head, "You know me?"
"Seriously, how can anyone not know the great ninja Yuffie," Sora smiled brightly before anyone could remind him that wasn't the same Yuffie he knew.
The damage was down as groans from those who knew the ninja well enough as she beamed, "Finally! I knew I would be acknowledged for my talents and skills one day!" Her eyes then narrowed at the others, "And you all said it would never catch on!" She then let out a chuckle, "Now who's laughing now?!"
Jiminy hopped on Sora's shoulder, as he pointed out, "I hate to break it to ya, Sora, but remember, the Yuffie you know, is back in your Universe. On Radiant Garden."
"Oh... right..." The Guardian frowned in realization.
Before Yuffie could boast on further, a familiar voice to Sora spoke up, "Settle down, Yuffie. He likely knows that title from your doppelgänger from his timeline or more likely because your doppelgänger also tried to force that title under people's throats."
"Way to kill my spotlight, Squall," Yuffie glared at the brunette with a scar on his face.
"That's Leon," He corrected.
Sora brightened up at the sight of his friend's counterpart. He then turned to Sora, "Well, guess you weren't kidding when you said he might recognize some of us, Peter..."
"When have I ever not taken things seriously," Peter spoke up in defense.
"You want the long list or the short one," Merrin asked him.
"You gotta name," The Radiant Garden native asked him.
"I'm Sora, and I knew you and Yuffie in my timeline, we first met shortly after I received the Keyblade," He introduced himself as he explained the events of himself and their doubles, "Back on Traverse Town when the Heartless started consuming worlds. You guys helped me start my journey and back on Hollow Bastion, or Radiant Garden... before I sealed the Keyhole, you told me this..." He then made his best Leon impression, "'We may never meet again, but we'll never forget each other.'"
"Well, that sounds like something you'd say," Yuffie shrugged at the Gunblade user, "And his impression of you was spot on!"
"Well, I suppose it makes things easier if you saved Radiant Garden on your timeline," The brunette nodded to the spiky-haired teen, "Maybe you have the touch to save our world as well."
"Speaking of which, I was told there was someone else who could use the Keyblade here," The Keyblade's Chosen replied, "Is he or she here?"
"He's taking care of some Heartless that have been showing up here and there," Leon answered, "They're becoming more frequent here, but you'll meet our Keyblade Master soon enough."
Sora nodded in understanding when Wanda stepped in, "Um... excuse me, but I also have some questions... but first... you knew about the Heartless?"
"Even with the state our collab world is," Leon sighed as he walked up to the girl, "The Heartless will always seek out the darkness in people's hearts. And now, with the worlds, as one... if they drag this world into the darkness, they consume us all..." He explained, "We've done our best to ensure that never happens. Our own Keyblade Master even managed to seal this world's Keyhole."
"Keyhole?" Wanda whispered.
"According to the journals my other wrote," Jiminy turned to the Princess, "A Keyhole is a gateway in each world that leads to the heart of that world. If the Heartless find it, they'll consume the world and everyone on it to a place called the Realm of Darkness. Sora sealed many of them on his first journey to prevent that from happening in his own Timeline." He frowned at this, "Gosh, with the worlds as well in ours, we've become a bigger target for the Heartless. It's a miracle this world this exists."
"We've been keeping the Heartless at bay, and with the Keyhole sealed, that won't happen any time soon," Leon reassured the cricket, "However, they're becoming more active lately, and S.H.I.E.L.D. is doing everything in its power to ensure we never see the light of day again."
"If the Heartless are that big of a threat, why hasn't my-" Wanda started, before clearing her throat, "Why hasn't the King done anything about it?"
"Our Keyblade Master risked his life to warn the King long ago," Leon answered, "He brushed him off, not taking the threat seriously, only the Queen seemed to believe him..."
"...one of the reasons why she supported the resistance," Wanda frowned sadly, feeling like she had been oblivious to the real world until now.
"At first, they've only ever targeted the humans and us," Merrin spoke up getting the group's attention, "...which is why they've been a lower priority on S.H.I.E.L.D.'s radar."
"But they turned Mr. Rabin into a Heartless and he was a mutant," Peter pointed out.
"Yes, the number of Heartless has escalated and they're getting out of control," Leon nodded.
"Was the commander ever defeated," Sora spoke up, getting everyone's attention, "You told me the little ones would scatter if we took out whoever or whatever was controlling them on my timeline."
"No... we've tried a few possible commanders..." Leon shook his head, "So far... they refused the scatter... whoever's controlling them... must be really powerful, because the Heartless only obey whoever's strongest." He turned to Sora, "We were hoping you and our Keyblade Master could work it out."
"Sure, I've got a theory going already," Sora smiled brightly, before glancing at Wanda remembering who she was related to, before making a frown, "Although... I'm kinda hoping I'm wrong."
Wanda appreciated Sora's words, but it would seem like even was beginning to have her doubts... about her own father and her beliefs. Leon nodded, "Any information that you believe is beneficial will be helpful... still that begs the question of why you came to our side of the Multiverse in the first place?"
"Long story short, I was recruited by someone called the Watcher... something is killing the Multiverse and we believe that the merger of worlds has something to do with it," Sora explained to the Resistance.
"Seriously?!" Yuffie blinked in disbelief.
"Yes, you Universe, is one of six that's gone through this merger," The Keyblade Weilder explained gaining the interest of those who caught wind of the conversation they were having, "...and I believe our problems are one and the same..."
"If it's true," Merrin hummed in thought, before turning to Sora, "Then we may be able to help each other..."
"Stop the Heartless and save the Multiverse," Leon nodded, "Alright, we can share what we know once our Keyblade Master returns, he'll want to know his input as well... he's been at this for a long time now, and may provide some input."
"Oh, of course, Master Yen Sid," Sora realized mentally face palming himself, "He was a retired Keyblade Master back home, maybe in this world, he never retired... that makes sense, and he could have some idea of what I'm up against..."
"He's still out so, we've got some time," Leon added, before gesturing to their base, "Why don't you take a few minutes to look around... get to know some of the other members... Yuffie will let you know when he returns..."
The self-proclaimed 'great ninja' gave the leader a mock salute, as Sora gave him a thumbs up. Peter turned to Wanda, "Hey, El? You alright?"
"Yeah... I... I just need a minute to myself..." 'Elizabeth' slowly nodded before walking off to observe the resistance base.
Sora walked up to Peter as the Cloak of Levitation floated nearby, the Keyblade Wielder turned to him, "What happened?"
"I don't know..." He admitted, "She came here in high spirits until the Queen was brought up..."
Jiminy hopped on Sora's shoulder, "Gee, that was a lot of shocking revelations we learned a little while ago."
"You didn't know about the Queen's involvement with the resistance?" The spiky-haired teenager blinked in shock.
"I was surprised as the Princess when we found out," Jiminy admitted, "When I last saw her mother, she made me promise to watch after her daughter should anything happen to her. At first, I thought that meant keeping her far away from the resistance, but after about the Queen's involvement... well... it certainly changes perspective." He then turned to Sora, "If there's a time to talk to Wanda about what's happening..."
"I get the picture," Hero of the Multiverse nodded before turning to Peter, "Well... she's learned a lot of harsh truths about your world... she just adjusting to it."
"Yeah, I get that..." Peter nodded, "Still, I wish Aunt May was still here... she'd know what to say..."
"Well, I've been in situations like this before, I'll talk to her and then you two can talk to each other when she feels a little better," Sora reassured the Web-Head as he ran off after the Scarlet Witch...
Meanwhile, the Winter Soldier stood outside the antique store, using his metal arm to break the lock and enter inside. He scanned upon the stuff of priceless antiques, before spotting an old Captain America poster...
... something about brought familiarity to him. Why did he have this strange feeling like he'd seen this man before? Shaking off the path to memory lane, he continued his mission, looking for the hidden entrance.
Soon enough, he found the owner's office and saw an old photo of the owner's lover. Observing it, he set the photo face on the ground, revealing the trigger that moved the desk to reveal the entrance. Seeing it lead to the sewers, the assassin leaped inside as the secret entrance closed behind him...
"Nice meeting ya, Sora," A soldier with spikey black hair and a familiar-looking buster sword waved to the teen.
"You too, Zack!" Sora waved to the soldier. He turned to Jiminy, "Sorry about that. Mistook him for Cloud. And I never really met Zack back on my own timeline. Wanted to know what he was like in person."
"I understand, Sora, but even if it had been Cloud, he wouldn't have been the same one you know," The cricket pointed out, "You do have one friend here who needs your help."
"Yeah, I know," The Keyblade Wielder nodded as he looked for the secret Princess, "Hey, Jiminy? Can I ask you something, if you were also a conscience on this world does that mean..."
"...I was tasked by a certain Blue Fairy to guide a certain wooden puppet?" Jiminy lightly smiled, "I had a feeling that conversation was going to come up sooner or later... the moment I got to that part in the Journal," He then answered, "I can happily say, that part isn't much different from my own life here... I witnessed the Blue Fairy grant Geppettio's wish by giving him a son... and I was tasked to be his conscience and help him make the right choices... even on this crazy hodgepodge world. We had many adventures Pinoke and I... including getting swallowed by that whale Monstro trying to find his father..."
"Huh... that does sound like what happened to my world," Sora smiled fondly before pondering, "Then how did you end up watching over Wanda?"
"Well, after we escaped Monstro... we were separated... I couldn't find Geppetto or Pinocchio," Jiminy sighed shaking his head, "That's when the Queen found me and promised to help me find them. It's been years... and just before the Queen passed..."
"...you promised you'd look after Wanda," Sora realized.
"At the time, I believe it meant keeping her away from the resistance, but to find out that her mother was a big supporter of the resistance..." The cricket removed his hat and rubbed the back of his head, "...and the King didn't hear the warnings of a respective Keyblade Master about a dangerous threat to both humans and mutants alike... I'm beginning to think she meant something else entirely... now I'm feeling like I've let both Pinoke and Wanda down..."
"Don't be like that Jiminy, Pinocchio became a real boy back in my timeline, thanks to you," Sora smiled brightly, "I'm certain the same thing happened in this one... and whatever happens, I'm certain Wanda will do the right thing in the end."
Jiminy chuckled to the spiky-haired teen, "Thanks... I needed to hear that..."
"So, does she know about Pinocchio?" Sora tilted his head.
"Of course, I've told her plenty of our adventures before I joined the royal council," Jiminy smiled before chuckling sheepishly, "...it may have been the reason she wanted to see what the world was like outside of the Genosha funny enough."
"Hey, maybe when this is all over, we can look for Pinocchio..." The Keyblade Weilder brightened up.
"I appreciate the offer, but you have your hands full enough to find these Infinity Stones across the Multiverse," Jiminy reminded him, "And I have a feeling the friends you have back home are going to miss you if you stay too long."
Sora chuckled as he lightly brushed his head, before brightening up as he spotted the Princess, "Hey, there she-!"
But she wasn't the only face he recognized. The adults by here with 'H' brands on their faces with a young woman with silver hair, and her husband alongside her as Wanda held their silver hair child in her arms, playing with the baby, "He's so cute..."
He then spotted another couple next to them, a man with brunette hair, and a woman with spikey hair like his with a pregnant belly as Wanda returned the baby to his mother and went to say hi to the child inside. He blinked in shock, he knew those people.
The first couple was Riku's parents, and their baby... he... was Riku. And the second couple was his own parents, and the baby in his mother's womb, was thay actually him?
Wanda looked like she was having a meaningful conversation with them. Jiminy turned to him with sympathy, "Sora...?"
But the Keyblade Weilder didn't respond, as he hadn't seen his parents since the day he left the islands...
When the secret Princess spotted Sora, she turned to the two happy couples, smiling at them, "It was nice meeting you..."
She then went to approach the spikey-haired teen, as she crossed her arms, "Let me guess, a certain advisor of mine wanted you to check up on me..." However, Sora was still silent, causing her to give him a look of concern, "What's wrong?"
"Those people..." He muttered.
Glancing back to the families now speaking to each other, as she turned to them and then back to Sora, "Do you know them? From your world?"
"Yeah, that's Riku's parents," He answered, "And mine."
Wanda's eyes widened in shock as she turned between the two couples, "Oh my... if that's true then... the babies..."
Jiminy hopped on Sora's shoulder, "Gosh... they're you and Riku... and the other you haven't even left the womb yet..."
"Guess that means Kairi's still in her own mother's womb," The Princess realized before turning to Sora with sympathy, "I'm sorry, Sora..." She wondered, "Are your parents... still around..."
"After I lost my home to the Heartless, I traveled with Donald and Goofy to stop the Heartless and seal the Door to Darkness," Sora revealed to her still staring at his alternate parents, "Doing so restored the other worlds, but it didn't restore everyone. When I finally returned home... I found out my parents never made it back."
"Then why are you just standing here, why don't you go talk to them," Wanda gestured to Sora's mother and father.
"And what, say I'm their son from another dimension, from another time," Sora pointed out, before gesturing to his mother, "I'm not even born yet, so they might not even recognize me. I'm sure I've weirded enough people out who were my friends in another universe, I don't want to weird out my own family... even if it's another version of them."
Jiminy then turned to Wanda, "Speaking of... why did you talk to them?"
Wanda gave a light smile, as she gestured to Sora's mother, "That one knew my mother... Knew I was her daughter... she and her husband had been living under worse conditions than Peter before the resistance freed them and their neighbors... and my mother helped them build a new life... she said I was always welcome if I wanted to visit..." She smiled softly at baby Riku, "...and I never saw a baby up this close before... so precious..."
"...you want kids when you're older, don't you?" Sora assumed.
"Yeah..." Wanda smiled happily, "Twins preferably. But I'm not picky. The more the merrier."
"...and do you want Peter to be the father?" Jiminy cautiously asked.
Blushing slightly, before shrugging, "Peter's a good guy... would like to know him more before starting a serious relationship."
"Good call," Sora told her, "I once knew a friend who wanted to marry a prince she just met... said prince left her for dead and tried to kill her sister so he could be King. Then he turned into a wolf Heartless... and it was crazy..."
Wanda blinked in shock at that statement, "That happened in your universe?!" Sora nodded in confirmation as she stated, "Wow... good to know..."
"Well, if it means anything I know guys like Peter, and their relationships turned out great..." The spiky-haired teenage boy reassured her, "Just make sure you take the time to know him before committing to a serious relationship..."
The daughter of the King smiled slyly, "You mean like you and Kairi?"
"Right, like me and Kai-" Sora nodded before realizing what he was saying making him blushing hard, "What?! No, no, no! You've got the wrong idea! I swear! We're just... really good friends! Best friends!"
"So you keep telling yourself," The teenage Princess grinned at him.
Jiminy then spoke up, "I think what Sora is trying to say is if you really want to pursue a relationship with Mr. Parker, shouldn't you be honest with him about your inheritance..."
Wanda's smirk turned into a frown, "I know..." This allowed Sora to start to recover from his bashfulness, as she wondered, "But what if he treats me differently because of it? He thinks my father's responsible for every bad thing that's happened... not that I would blame him..."
"Did my parents treat you any different because they knew who your father is?" Sora asked the secret Princess. She shook her head as he continued, "Have I treated you any different from any other friend I've met?"
"From the time I've known you... no... you haven't... you just get a little jumpy at a friend you do recognize," Wanda admitted, "Though if you met the me from your universe, I'm sure you would've been happier to see me. And by then my secret would have been thrown out the window long ago."
"Well there you have it," The spiky-haired teen smiled encouragingly, "Chances are... he'll see you as the great woman you are... and not just because you're a Princess..."
"...and if he doesn't... well... maybe he's just not the one for you, Wanda..." Jiminy joined in, "But you'll never know if you don't tell him."
"...fine..." The Princess rubbed her arm, "I'll tell him everything... I just hope he doesn't hate me because of who my father is..."
She really hoped Peter was the one... her father might never approve of him but still... All of a sudden, she saw a furry blue and purple spotted monster with a green skin one eye monster playing with a little girl who beamed, "Kitty!"
"Oh, my gosh!" The Princess beamed, "She's so adorable!"
"Hey, is that Mike and Sully?! With Boo?!" Sora beamed as the two teens ran straight towards them, "HEY GUYS!"
"Sora! Your Highness! W-wait!" Jiminy tried to get their attention as he muttered to himself, "If we end up being the ones being a part of the Watcher's Guardians of the Multiverse, I hope we also get someone who can keep us focused on the task at hand..."
Time passed and after seeing more familiar faces, like Buzz, Woody, Tarzan, Meg, Chicken Little, and Arieth. Jiminy finally got the two back on track and went to meet up with Peter, as he greeted them, "Hey, guys... where have you been?"
"Well, I just had to get these two to get their focus back to the task at hand instead of running into every familiar face to Sora or seeing little ones running around for this young woman," Jiminy embarrassingly revealed to Peter, causing them to laugh sheepishly.
Spidey blinked, "Oh... uh..." He turned to Wanda, "So~ you like babies, huh?"
"Maybe a little," 'Elizabeth' sheepishly answered before getting glances from both Jiminy and Sora, before admitting, "Okay, I like them a lot. I want some when I'm older..."
Sora whispered to the Web-Head, "I think she's hinting if you want to be with her."
"Duly noted," Peter discreetly nodded to Sora before quietly, "Thanks."
"Now then," Jiminy turned to the secret Princess, "Isn't there something you wanted to tell Peter?"
"Right..." Wanda rubbed her arm, nervously, "Peter... I've got something to confess to you..."
Spidey looked at her nervously, "Let me guess... you already have a boyfriend."
"Oh, no! Not that!" Wanda, despite the situation, smiled in reassurance, "I wasn't seeing anyone else! I'm single!"
"Oh! Whew!" Peter sighed in relief as he smiled back, "You had me worried there for a second. So, wh-what do you need to tell me?"
"My name isn't Elizabeth Olsen..." She admitted, "I lied about my name so no one would judge me because of who my parents are."
Peter slowly nodded, "Oh, right... your parents have connections to S.H.I.E.L.D. so it is someone I know..." Wanda sadly nodded, as he reassured her, "Hey, its okay. It's fine. I totally get it." He then encouraged her, "So what is your name?"
"..." Wanda mumbled quietly in a barely audible voice.
Peter blinked, "I'm sorry. Can you repeat that?"
"...WandaMagnus..." She whispered a little louder.
"Can you speak up," Spidey asked again, "I was not bitten by a spider with exceptional hearing."
"My name is Wanda Magnus," She confessed to her crush in a normal voice.
Peter's eyes widened in shock at that, "...you mean... like the... Princess?"
"Yes... like the Princess," She frowned, "Which I am. A Princess. Princess Wanda."
"Oh," The part-time hero part-time thief stated, unsure what to say.
"Look! Before you say anything else, let me just say I had no idea about the camps, how the humans were treated, any of it!" Wanda shook her head, before turning away, "I always thought, after everything my father went through during World War II... he would never allow such evil to thrive under his rule. But after everything I've seen today... I am so sorry this happened. The first thing I'm going to do when I get back is shut the camps down, and give the humans the same rights as every other citizen. Jobs. Education. And everything! I know this won't exactly magically fix everything overnight but-"
"Hey, hey, hey, take it easy," Peter told the Princess, "Breath." She took a deep breath, after she finished, he asked her, "Feel better?"
"A little," She admitted.
"Okay, I gotta admit I was not expecting you to be the daughter of the King," Peter admitted.
"I'm sorry I lied, but I just wanted some friends who didn't see me as a Princess," Wanda frowned, "I never knew about any of this."
"I believe you and despite my issues with your father, I never once held you or your brother and sister accountable for his actions," Peter reassured her, "And if anything I'm sorry too." Wanda blinked in confusion as he clarified, "For saying anything hurtful about your dad in front of you... that had to be kinda... awkward..."
"It was..." She admitted, "But you weren't exactly in the wrong..."
"C'mon, don't beat yourself about all of this," Peter gestured to the situation about them, "The only thing you were guilty of was ignorance... And one way or another, that is something we're all guilty of..." He then sighed, "Besides... even if you weren't a Princess... I... really like you..."
Jiminy blinked in shock at that, while Sora had a knowing smile. Wanda gave a small smile, "I... kinda knew that... no offense, Peter, but you're terrible at keeping secrets."
"You're not wrong," Peter nervously chuckled, "I did reveal to you and Sora that I am Spider-Man within the first hour I've met you two."
"And by extension Jiminy," Sora pointed out as he pointed out to the dumbfounded cricket.
"Him too," Peter nodded causing both Wanda and himself to laugh.
"If it means anything... I like you too..." The daughter of Magento admitted, "I'm not sure if it's love... but I like to see where this goes..."
"Yeah... me too..." The Web-Slinger nodded in agreement. After a brief moment of silence, he stated, "Your dad's probably going to want my head for asking you out..."
"Oh, even I know he would," Wanda looked at him with sympathy, before suggesting, "If he's not the multiverse villain, then let's change his opinion on the humans."
Slowly they held each other's hands as they gazed lovingly into each other's eyes...
"Okay, I did not see that one coming," Jiminy admitted.
Sora smiled, "I did..."
"Well, I guess you've seen your share of lovers over the past few years," The cricket admitted, as he rubbed his scalp.
"Well, I still have a lot to learn about love but I know what it feels like when I share my heart with others," Sora smiled, "So... I had a good feeling if they shared their hearts with each other... they probably have a better understanding than I have. I just know it won't be torn apart by anything."
Just then, something beeped as they saw a tiny robot on two legs tilting its head at them. Sora waved at the robot, "Hey, where did you come from?"
"BD's always liked meeting new friends," A new voice spoke up getting the group's attention,n and a man with short red hair, "I take it that you're Sora, right?" The Keyblade Wielder nodded in confirmation, "I'm Cal. Cal Kestis." He then gestured to the machine that crawled on his back, "This is BD-1."
"Oh, nice to meet you, Cal," Sora greeted the newcomer shaking his hand.
"To you as well," Cal smiled before turning to Wanda, "So, you're Magda's daughter?"
"You knew her as well," Wanda's eyes widened in shock.
"Yes, just shortly before the Worlds merged together, my Master was killed by our own troops," Cal revealed, "It was your mother who founded me and reunited me with what was left of the Jedi Order. Since then, we've helped the resistance in any way we could. It's actually how I met my wife."
"Oh, anyone we know?" Wanda wondered.
"Yes," Merrin's voice spoke up before appearing to the group, "Me."
"Oh, wow..." The Princess blinked, "Congrats."
"I knew your mother well," The white hair woman admitted, "Because I am the last of my kind, even when the world merged, I was an outcast because of my power comes from magick. Still, even the greatest of my sisters pale in comparison to your own."
"But I'm a mutant," Wanda blinked, "I-I don't have any magic in me."
"Wait, if you know magic, and you're not Keyblade Wielder, wouldn't that make you a witch?" Sora blinked.
"Nightsister," She corrected the teenage boy.
"Oh, sorry," Sora apologized.
"Don't be, my people rarely left our own world, when our world existed," Merrin reassured him not offended, "I would be even more surprised if you did."
"Well, if I run into another Nightsister as I journey through the Multiverse, I won't get called upon them for calling them the wrong thing," Sora brightened up as he rested his hands behind his back.
"That is a nice way to look at it," The Nightsister gave a small smile at his response.
"Anyways, after the worlds merged, your father, King Magnus eradicated what was left of the Empire," Cal revealed, "When your mother found us, we thought the oppression would be over..."
"Unfortunately, your mother informed us otherwise," The Nightsister frowned with her arms crossed, "How people treat the humans and people who were unfortunate not considered to be mutants." She gestured to Cal, "...that's when we decided to join the cause to fight against this oppression."
"Wow, so you guys were doing this before the worlds merged," Sora brightened up.
"Actually, I was in hiding, and Merrin was all by herself on her homeworld," Cal corrected the Keyblade Weider, "After our Troops turned on us, I was starting out as a scrapper on Bracca. When the worlds merged, when I was reunited with what was left of the Jedi Order, they helped me continue my training. Something I thought I'd never do again."
Princess Wanda tilted her head, "Jedi Order?"
Peter and Wanda turned to their spikey-haired friend from another timeline, who shrugged, "First time I've heard about them."
"He's right," Jiminy nodded carrying a journal, "From what I gathered from my counterpart's journals, there's nothing mentioning anything about this Jedi Order. Sora has yet to encounter them within his timeline."
"I'm not that surprised," The Jedi Survivor admitted, "Before the worlds merged the Empire pushed us to the brick of extinction. If they played any similar in your universe, then you'd likely have a hard time finding even one of us." He looked up above, "Like the wielders of the Keyblade, we were peacekeepers. In fact, it was your people that inspired the creation of the Jedi Order."
"Wow, I never knew that," Sora crossed his arms, he then wondered, "Are there any other wielders of the Keyblade in this universe besides the Resistence's Keyblade Master?"
BD-1 gave some sad beeps, as Cal sighed, "You would be the first... and you're not even from our own timeline..."
"Oh, sorry," Sora frowned at that.
"Don't apologize," Merrin reassured him, "You came to help all the same... even if you're just coming here briefly to deal with another crisis, our goals align, and may tip the balance of this war."
"Maybe all's not lost," Jiminy smiled giving Sora a light pat, "We did find out that you and Riku do exist in this timeline, and I'm certain Kairi is out there too. If all three of you became Keyblade Wielders back your own, why, I'm certain your counterparts will too."
"Oh, yeah... guess you guys have something to look forward to..." The Guardian of Light brightened up.
"I suppose we do then..." Cal smiled and nodded.
Suddenly, Yuffie appeared before the group, "Hey, guys, our leaders are back and the commanders of the resistance have gathered and are excited to finally meet you."
"Would they know what happened to my mother, if the humans didn't kill her," Wanda turned the great ninja wondering.
"Worth a shot," The youthful warrior smiled brightly, before turning to Sora, "If you want your stone to save the Multiverse, you better not keep them waiting."
"Led the way," Sora nodded to the teenage girl. She gave Sora a salute before leading the way, as Sora, Peter, and Wanda followed her. Cal and Merrin followed shortly as BD climbed on the former's back...
A few minutes later after arriving, Sora's group gathered to see familiar faces and unfamiliar faces all around the room, Leon gestured to an older woman, "I'll start us off, this is Agent Peggy Carter. Founder of S.H.I.E.L.D. before the majority of them turned to Magento. World War II survivor. And one of the first of the resistance."
The older woman nodded to Sora, as he waved at her. The Gunblade user then turned to a cloaked middle-aged man who removed his brown hood, "Obi-Wan Kenobi. One of the last Council members of the Jedi Order."
"Hello there," He greeted the Keyblade Weilder, before turning to see Cal, "Young Kestis."
Cal gave a respective bow to the Jedi Master, "Master."
Leon then turned to a man, Sora hadn't seen since his first journey, with an unlikely pet, "Captain James Hook, former pirate, with his pet crocodile: Tic-Toc."
Sora blinked at that as the codfish pirate he knew was terrified of that crocodile from the universe he knew, was actually using his one good hand to affectionately pet the crocodile. He remembered the Watcher informing him, that some villains were actually heroes in some realities. Still, to see in action was surprising. Leon then turned to a strong lion that resembled another friend he knew, "King Mufasa of Pride Rock. Ruler of the intelligent animals of this world."
"Uh, you wouldn't by any chance have a son named Simba here, do you?" Sora asked the lion.
"Ah, so you know my son back in your universe," Mufasa smiled at the teenage boy, who nodded, "Yes, he's been growing to be a great King of his own one day."
Jiminy leaped to his shoulder, as he whispered to the Keyblade Wielder, "I know in your universe, Mufasa was killed by his brother Scar, and Hook was an enemy. But in this one, Scar's scheme to overthrow his brother failed, and from what I've heard since arriving here, Tic-Toc was just as terrified as Hook was and have been friends ever since."
Sora nodded to Jiminy in appreciation, as Leon went on, "T'Challa, ruler of Wakanda, and the Black Panther, our mole within Magento's polictal friends."
The man respectfully nodded to Sora with a smile on his face, as Wanda blinked in shock. T'Challa then gave a friendly smile to the Princess, shushing her with his finger to his lips. Leon then moved forward to the last member of the group, one Sora knew well, as he held his trident in his hand, "King Triton; ruler of the seas, and all of its life. Our only other mole within Magento's political friends."
The spiky-haired teen lightly smiled, as he whispered to himself, "Guess he's more tolerant to humans in this timeline..." He then glanced around the room, "Good to meet you all, but, where is the Keyblade Master I've heard so much about?"
"Right here."
Sora froze at the sound of the voice. He knew that voice as another figure approached the group, with his hands behind his back. While he wore the clothes and armor he saw, when he briefly met Master Earqus, and the color of his eyes was silver instead of yellow, he knew the face anyway. Leon gestured to the bald man, "Our Keyblade Master and founder of the resistance, Master Xehanort."
Sora stood in horror as his body froze, remembering the Keyblade War his friends had the showdown with the True Organization XIII, where he almost lost his friends, and almost lost Kairi forever... Jiminy, who had read all of his counterpart's journal, eyes widened, "Oh dear... this can't be good..."

Next Time:
What if... Magento Ruled The Earth (Part 2)?
Notes:
That's right, Xehanort, is the Keyblade Master of this timeline. What could possibly go wrong?
(Sees Sora getting PTSD)
Oh, right... that can't be good. But it does make a good stopping point for now. Next time, we'll see how this Xehanort differs from the Xehanort Sora knew and fought. Not to mention, the Winter Soldier is gaining on our heroes. Can they stop him before he wipes out the resistance? Will our heroes even reach Magento to claim the Power Stone? Is Charles Xavier really alive?
Stay tuned! Anyway, hope you enjoyed this chapter. Be sure to leave a review. Also, don't forget to leave a follow and fav. to show your support! See ya real soon!
