Chapter 1: Omg they ran away

Chapter Text

Ruin stared at Puppet before his eyes quickly darted over to BloodMoon as he watched the shorter animatronic taunt Puppet, her hair was still bright white- an indication of their power -yet BloodMoon knew this.

“Kill me, you COWARD!”

As BloodMoon continued to yell, Ruin’s mind only continued to race through several thoughts and questions, he looked back at Puppet. This time she looked back at him, almost answering his questions.

“Do it, Eclipse.”

Though their mouth didn’t move, Ruin could hear it at the front of his mind…

Taking one last look at Puppet, Ruin grabbed BloodMoon.

And he ran.

BloodMoon stumbled behind Ruin, clearly struggling as he was caught off guard by the sudden grab.

Ruin only managed one look behind them, Earth and Puppet remained still, neither of them making a move to stop them- to stop him -though Earth looked startled, Puppet only stared blankly as if she’d seen this coming even though Ruin himself hadn’t.

This was foolish.

Extremely foolish! What was he doing?!

BloodMoon struggled behind Ruin, what was happening?!

His eyes that had been solely focused on the threat in front of him, the threat he NEEDED to face, were now trying to focus on the animatronic behind him.

He was suddenly dragged back by his arm, quickly pulled into a run away from the fight he so desperately needed. He had to die today. But instead he was stumbling behind Ruin in a fallen hall.

“What? WHAT?!” He yelled as he tried to look back at Puppet, try to get back to the fight, but his body wouldn’t budge. His hand held onto Ruin’s arm tightly and wouldn’t let go. It didn’t feel like his own actions…it felt more like…

Ruin didn’t turn back after that, not even to get a good look at BloodMoon as he dragged him along. He just kept running and running, hardly hearing much noise besides their own footsteps and heavy breathing as they found their way out of the temple and back into the trees. Even in the darkness Ruin still struggled to get his legs to stop, part of him knew it was safe. That Puppet wouldn’t bother to come find them despite everything. Yet the more logical part of him knew the entire celestial family had a good reason to hunt both of them down.

As Ruin finally slowed down a few meters into the woods, BloodMoon stumbled on the uneven ground and caused the two to stumble onto the ground.

Though BloodMoon landed on his knees, leaving only scratches, Ruin had managed to land on his right leg, leaving it heavily dented.

“What did you do, Ruin??” BloodMoon grumbled as he got back up and finally took in their surroundings. Judging by the scratches on nearby trees, they couldn’t be too far from the path they’d taken to the temple to begin with.

“…I’m not sure.” Ruin quietly managed as he struggled to get up, only finding the dirt around him to hold onto. What happened to his leg..? He can hardly feel it.

“WHAT DID YOU DO?!” BloodMoon’s voice rang out along the woods as he nearly threw himself over Ruin, his hands struggling to find a place on Ruin to hold onto as he desperately wanted to find answers from the mismatched animatronic. “What did… what did you do…” His voice and hands grew shaky as they wrapped around Ruin’s neck.

-

...This is kind of stupid right? …Crimson?” Nightfall muttered to him as they quietly walked around the woods. Simply listening to the rustling of leaves and the loud chirping of crickets they could never manage to quiet.

“..What, Ruin is?” Their chest heaved as he laughed, only earning a small chuckle from his twin. Clearly noting Crimson hadn’t actually been paying attention to him.

That we’re doing this…we’re probably not even the.. real BloodMoon.

The real BloodMoon…? If it felt like they were BloodMoon, how couldn’t they be? Crimson remained quiet as they continued venturing deeper and deeper seeing what they could find.

“We should both be dead.. I think it’s cool that we aren’t.” Nightfall quietly hummed, the hum ringing throughout their head as they walked. He was hardly paying attention again. His twin always spoke about stupid things, but this one had been bothering him a lot more than usual lately. The idea that they weren’t real. That maybe there was a real him and a real them that was long gone. Like they should be dead… and that the originals should be here… It was always quiet in this part of the woods… he could only wonder if Nightfall was right… but he had to be wrong. So it doesn’t matter.

Yet, his voice always managed to be the loudest in his head.

-

“We’re dead... WHY DID YOU RUIN THAT?!”

Ruin wasn’t sure himself, his mind just told him to. Maybe for a moment… he’d thought BloodMoon was… him. He wish he could’ve done something for him then… but he could try to save BloodMoon now. Even with no plan, with no help, with no ideas, with an injured leg, alone in a forest…

His eyelids felt heavy. “BloodMoon… we.. we can do more alive.”

His hand tightened around Ruin’s neck, yet Ruin felt no discomfort. BloodMoon’s hand we’re uncertain, his body was shaking. He wouldn’t die to him… not today.

BloodMoon threw Ruin back to the ground, a heavy breath leaving his body as he landed onto his back on the cluttered ground.

“You’re pathetic, Ruin! We face death, we don’t run. Not like cowards, not like you.” He hissed as he turned around, looking around to try to find his way back.

“THERE’S NO WE BLOODMOON! HE’S DEAD, IT’S JUST YOU AND YOU’RE BEING FOOLISH!” Ruin leaned on his good leg, stumbling to get up before BloodMoon turned back around and walked up to face him directly.

“THERE WAS A WE, THERE WILL BE A WE! BUT BECAUSE YOU BROUGHT US BACK FOR YOUR SELFISH FUCKING NEEDS, HE’S DEAD, RUIN!”

Ruin firmly stared back at the other animatronic despite his body struggling to stay up. BloodMoon hissed, baring his teeth despite Ruin struggling to see anything but his glowing eyes.

Your plan went wrong, but you blame us. You’re an idiot, Ruin.”

“I’m aware… you weren’t supposed to be a part of this. Not you or… your other. You were just… supposed to be a distraction. I didn’t mean for… him to die.”

“..I don’t care.”  BloodMoon muttered as he walked away from him to lean against a tree.

-

…do you really think Ruin just brought us back to be annoying?

-

“..what’s the real reason you brought us back, did you just think this was fucking funny?”

Ruin was quiet for a moment, still lying on the dirt as he recalled finding out about the red animatronic… he was erratic, nothing about him made sense… he loved to talk and talk to whoever he could hear in that head of his…

A beautiful red…

But he didn’t have the parts for the original BloodMoon, he didn’t have the colors, nor the time, much less a proper idea of how his duality worked… so a knock off would have to do. If he had more time… then maybe…

But BloodMoon had to be made quickly. He had been seen too quickly and he needed a distraction to keep Sun and Moon away as soon as possible.

“I… think I just…wanted to know who BloodMoon was.. I’ve never even heard of someone like you… two.” For years, he hadn’t seen… people care… much less work together. Call BloodMoon selfish or insane… but Ruin admired how much the two worked together. He hadn’t seen anything like it in… so so long. There was no Sun, no Moon as united as the two. No…

“You’re.. fucking stupid..” BloodMoon remained quiet afterwards. Ruin didn’t move, didn’t speak.

-

Do you think we could kill Ruin? He’s probably not as stupid as he acts..” Nightfall muttered as he moved his bishop.

“You think you could beat em?” He grumbled before managing to move his own pawn.

No. Neither of us know how to play chess. But he probably does.” He moved his bishop again, the same move he’d been making for the past few minutes, just moving it from one side of the board to the other with nothing but hope it’d do something.

“..It’s an easy win if you ask me.” Crimson hissed in response before throwing the pieces of the board onto the dirty floor littered with glass, adding to the mess of it all before attempting to stand up. BloodMoon was still.

Crimson wanted to get up, Nightfall didn’t.

That’s not how we’ll get out of this.

-

BloodMoon opened his eyes, the warm light of the sun hitting him directly as it peeked over the trees. The woods were quiet in the morning, it was nice… if his other were here… maybe the light wouldn’t hurt his eyes so much…

Ruin was still there, thrown on the grass, he looked almost dead.

He quietly crawled over, his already tattered clothes getting more dirtied as he made his way over Ruin.

His other would know what to do right now.

-

Monty…

Ruin finally stirred, his eyes opening up as his system slowly started up again. The events from yesterday clearly having left his body damaged as he was unable to sit up properly. He struggled to lean on his arms, surprised as he felt hardwood under his hands.

He tried to look around, his vision taking a moment to focus before he can finally take in his surroundings. His guess would be a cabin… every wall made of wood along with the floor and ceiling.

He turned at the sound of footsteps, looking up to see BloodMoon a deranged mess with tired eyes.

“What’s the plan, Ruin?”

“I.. don’t have one.” He still couldn’t feel his leg. What happened still made no sense. He was smarter than this. But now here he is at an unknown location with a deranged animatronic who had nothing left to lose.

BloodMoon laughed as he fell down next to him.

“Are you fucking serious? Ugh… get up… stand up! I’m not dealing with this shit. You’re GOING to think of something, whether it leads to my death or yours..” His laughter grew louder. Pulling Ruin up with him forcefully.

“We’re going to go find KillCode while you think of a sorry excuse of why you did this shit.”

Chapter 2: BloodMoon sees Killcode not clickbait

Summary:

This is very short because the next chapter is Killcodes explanation so this is just like part one of a chapter since I didn't like how its about BloodMoon and Killcode only for the next half of the chapter to just be about Golden and Killcode and I even cut that one short

Chapter Text

It had been a few hours since BloodMoon had begun walking. He had tried forcing Ruin to walk with him but quickly gave up when he realized he was unable to walk on his own; he'd been carrying him since.

Though it had been uncomfortable for the first hour, he’d managed to get more comfortable on the other animatronics back by now.

They’d gone from one edge of the forest to the city center, making sure to take dark streets rather than going by main roads especially since the two stood out like sore thumbs, only to end up in another forest after a few hours. It’d been years since Ruin had been around so much forest, years since…

Despite the long hours and the uncomfortable walk, Bloodmoon didn’t seem at all bothered. He seemed angry but it seemed more like his usual scowl. He didn’t seem tired by it all. Maybe it’d been the body Ruin made for him, he didn’t expect it to actually be this resilient. Not after this long.

Ruin remained quiet, he didn’t want to risk angering BloodMoon any further but he was still afraid. This world was nothing like his. He’d only explored part of this world and wherever BloodMoon was taking him- -Ruin had no power left.

BloodMoon just continued walking in silence. He’d never seen him so quiet…

When they left, Bloodmoon had mentioned going to find Killcode. The animatronic that was dead for months. He’d seen the video, Killcode was gone.

He sighed, it was nearly after noon and his legs were aching from being held up so long in the uncomfortable position that was around BloodMoon.

As he looked around he could only see trees on both their left and right, everything looked the same so it was far beyond him how BloodMoon was capable of knowing where he was going. Despite his own worries and uncertainties, BloodMoon didn't waver nor hesitate once as he moved. He walked calmly and focused ahead as if he'd walked this path a million times before despite this BloodMoon not being made with his old memories, it seemed as if maybe he'd never lost them, as if he'd done this maybe in another life.

After a few more minutes of wandering, BloodMoon significantly slowed down. His hold on Ruin's legs tightened as he carefully made his way down a hill and began following a thin stream of water. Ruin hardly noticed it himself but BloodMoon was clearly aware as he made his way to it, quietly observing it as if it could manage to get away. For a while the only sounds Ruin could hear was the wet sound of Bloodmoon's shoes in mud and the running water until it finally stopped. But surprisingly ALL noise stopped. The water seemed to just stop, unnaturally so. The small divot the water seemed to run on kept going, but the water didn't. It didn't have a slow end, it simply… ceased.

BloodMoon stared at the ground where the water ended. He seemed almost satisfied with himself as he looked around and began walking west of the stream.

“BloodMoon.” Ruin whispered next to BloodMoon’s face, struggling to cover his own discomfort and fear of the animatronic that held him but his own mind running with questions he wanted answers to. It'd been three hours of silence by now and now they were deep in a forest with weird streams and weird energies.

“I found him.” Was all BloodMoon spoke in response. His footsteps dragging the dried leaves as he confidently looked up. Ruin's heart fell down his chest, the breath in his mechanical lungs quickly leaving him as he realized they were in front of a house, no, a *mansion* that hadn’t been there before. He would've noticed this massive building ages ago… but it hadn't been there.

He held onto BloodMoon a bit tighter as he began moving again. Making his way towards the path that had appeared before them. The path was simple, being made only of small rocks, despite leading to a majestic house with a beautiful front porch with several flowers around it. It almost shined tauntingly as they approached, reminding Ruin of a life he'd never been able to have even in his dreams.

Suddenly the sound of BloodMoon’s footsteps changed as he stepped up the wooden stairs on the porch. For once in the whole trip did BloodMoon seem to hesitate as he took a quiet breath, a breath only for himself to note before he turned to address Ruin. “Can you walk yet?”

Ruin let out a breath of his own as he focused on BloodMoon instead of the house they were currently in front of.

“I'm quite sure I can't.”

“Stay out here. Sit here.” BloodMoon muttered as he crouched down without waiting for an answer from him, leaving him to awkwardly get off of Bloodmoon's back as he was left on the porch.

“Do whatever. You cant get back to anywhere on your own, so you’d be smart to wait for me.” He scowled as he looked directly at Ruin before standing up and standing back in front of the door. Ruin could only stare as the door suddenly opened for Bloodmoon, leaving him outside and alone again. Though it meant no more fearing BloodMoon, he was now alone in a place he was unfamiliar with.

He sighed, his shoulders slumping as he decided to focus his attention on his damaged leg.

It was a long walk, yet not an unfamiliar one. He recalled only seeing this place once or twice, mostly through other people's eyes but that was enough for him. He's uncertain on how… but he knows *he's* here. As he finally passed the magic barrier that surrounded the home he almost felt relief. Like a fresh breeze of air had just entered his lungs. The building was unfamiliar… but everything told him to go ahead. To go in.

He let go of Ruin after several hours… he just had to go in. He didn't need Ruin. He didn't need him as he stepped to the door and it opened on it's own. He stepped forward only to hear it close behind him. He could *feel* it close behind him. He nearly shivered.

Something about this place…

“Where is he?” He quietly spoke up as he felt a presence around him, messing with him. His voice didn't feel like his own for a moment as he looked around, jumping back as a golden bear appeared in front of him. “You'll have to be more specific. I know several “he's” the bear spoke loudly, the voice quickly irritating his noise receptor as he stepped away from him.

“The only person here besides you.”

The golden bear stared BloodMoon down in silence, he didn’t look amused, impressed, much less intimidated as he clenched his fists. Golden Freddy just remained calm, almost eerily so.

“I don't think I know who you're speaking about.” The golden bear shrugged as he turned to leave down the hall despite having not needed it when he appeared. He stared. Golden was leaving. But Golden knew! *He was here!*

“We know he's here!” He yelled as he ran after him, tempted to tackle the bear down but even now he wasn't stupid enough to do, not when he still needed… well he needed something.

The Golden animatronic stopped in his tracks, BloodMoons own hand going down as he realized he wouldn't have to force him to stop. “What did you think would happen when you showed up here, BloodMoon?” The bear calmly asked, it was almost condescending to him how calm he was. As if everything was so simple and BloodMoon was too stupid to even answer a question. Maybe he was right about that, at least slightly so.

“I'd find him. And he. . . will help me get my other back.”

He avoided looking at Golden. No matter how many times he said it or thought of it, the situation was bad, it was embarrassing. They were never ones to do things like this, never ones to ask quietly.

Golden continued walking without a single response. BloodMoon followed him throughout the house, not once did Golden acknowledge it. The moment he stopped, so did BloodMoon. They passed several rooms, several parts of the house. None of them were special, none stood out. The house was grand, yet plain, almost like Golden himself. They stopped at the end of a hall, it seemed exactly like everything else… but he knew *he* was here. He could feel it in his veins, in his systems, in the breath he forced out as Golden knocked on it.

“Your visitor is here.” Golden was gentle, his voice quiet and his movement careful as he opened the door. Making sure to keep BloodMoon behind so he couldn't just barge in. Though irritating having to wait and listen to the pathetic god, he did so. He needed to see Killcode.

After taking a quiet look at the inside of the room, Golden allowed him in just behind. As he made his way in he didn't waste time looking around the large room, his eyes immediately falling to the animatronic on the large bed. The blue, white, and gray body made it clear it was Killcode. He looked almost crudely put together, at least what he could see of him. He walked closer. Though he was used to gore, he never thought of what it'd look like trying to fix the carnage he caused. The lanky animatronic looked over at BloodMoon from where he sat, holding a blanket around himself to cover whatever mangled parts were underneath. His head was slow to turn, it seemed almost like it was ready to fall of at any moment. As their eyes met he could see clearly how Killcode’s eyes were dark and hazy unlike his previous ones.

It was almost impressive how he'd managed to live, even if he looked like…

“Son..”

Killcode croaked, his voice beyond strained, hardly audible even in the quiet room. He could feel his chest tighten. It *was* Killcode. He was here. In front of him. The man he'd killed with his own hands. It almost felt like seeing his other… but it wasn't, it was Killcode.

Logically they couldn't even be related; BloodMoon had been made by Ruin. But in the way he knew his other was his brother, in this moment he knew Killcode was his father.

“Father.”

Killcode could hardly manage a smile, his face permanently stiff since he'd gotten ripped open. He quietly met BloodMoon's eyes with his own, for once his son looked afraid as he looked at him.

“My other is gone.” He almost sounded shy as he spoke to him, slowly standing directly in front of him where he could truly see how little he'd changed… appearance wise at least.

“I see.”

BloodMoon struggled to remain still. “I brought Ruin with me.”

“The man that wished for you to kill me?” His eyes remained on his son's, BloodMoon didn't respond. “I suppose it makes sense.”

“How are you. . . living?”
