Chapter Text
Jinu looked down at the rectangular device Rumi shoved in his hand just now, he's seen Baby use one all the time but he didn’t know what it's for. His eyes look over to Rumi who was in the middle of giving Derpy some ear scratches. "I really appreciate the gesture but you didn't have to waste your money on getting me a phone." He attempted to hand it back to her but she didn't take it. Rumi didn't consider gifting a phone would be a waste of her money.
She originally bought the phone for Zoey because her GPS would take the to the most random and very sketchy places, but she decided to give it to Jinu because Mira and Zoey are starting to get suspicious on why she's coming home so late and she didn't want to explain or for the girls to follow her and they see that she's with Jinu. Mira would definitely kill him before she kills her. "Mira’s getting suspicious of our meetings and I don't want to make one wrong move and we get caught being together." Rumi takes his phone and saves her phone number for Jinu to keep. "So we can text, face time, call each other whenever we want without worrying about anyone being suspicious of our disappearances." Jinu stared at her a bit disappointed which made her worry, he takes Rumi’s hand while makes her heartbeat feel out of control.
She doesn't understand why he's been making her feel this way but she never wants this feeling to ever go away. "Rumi, I like seeing you real close." Jinu whispers quietly even though no one was around them but Derpy and Sussie who were now rolling in the grass fields together. "I do too, so how about we make a compromise." Jinu looks at her with curiosity. "We can meet up normally in person one week and then the next week we can text and call each other. How does that sound?" Rumi asked, patiently waiting for Jinu’s opinion. He gives her a gentle smile which she couldn’t help but find very cute. "That doesn't sound like a bad idea." Jinu chuckles as Rumi let out a sigh of relief. "But do you think that you can teach me how to work a phone?" The 400-year-old demon asked and Rumi playfully rolled her eyes. "You're so old" she joked as she pulled out the camera on his phone.
She spent half an hour teaching him how to take pictures, learn how to call, and how to text until he was able to understand. Jinu looked at the time to see it was 2:30 in the morning. They've been hanging out at the parks since 10:00 and lost track of time. Jinu reached for Rumi’s hand so he can help her off her feet. "You have to go home now." Jinu says gently. "I guess I dooooo!" Rumi lets out a startled yelp as Derpy pushed her to sit on his back. The Half Demon glares at Jinu as he tried to hide his laugh. "Get home safe."
Before Rumi could say anything Jinu gave Derpy his commands to make sure she gets home. For Rumi, it was the quickest transportation of her life because the next thing she new, Derpy landed safely on her balcony while Sussie landed on the railing. The Half Demon slid of the spirit tiger and gave him a quick pat as a thank you. "Good night." Rumi whispered as she opened up her balcony door knowing Derpy and Sussie were about to fall asleep. Rumi tiptoes over to her bed getting comfortable and ready to fall asleep herself. She turns on her phone and taps message. Rumi scrolls until she finds Jinu’s name and writes a quick text.
Rumi: We're home safe. Have a goodnight.💜
The next thing she sees is three bubbles and she knows Jinu is in the process of getting back to her. She doesn't know how long that will take but Jinu’s a very quick learner. And finally he responds after five minutes.
Jinu: May your evening be tranquil and your sleep rejuvenating
Rumi stared at the message before typing her response.
Rumi: You can just say goodnight.
Jinu: Isn't this what modern people say nowadays?
Rumi: Not even close
Jinu: I'm glad to be learning new things from you.
Jinu: You make it seem so easy.
Rumi: Glad I can help👍
Jinu: Maybe you can teach me what those stickers are.
Rumi: Emojis, and maybe tomorrow.
Jinu: Sweet Dreams, Rumi
Rumi: Sweet Dreams, Jinu
Chapter 2: Between Spotlight and Shadows
Summary:
Rumi wakes up the next morning learning so life changing news.
Chapter Text
The morning sun crept through the sheer white curtains of Rumi’s room, painting faint golden streaks across her face. She blinked awake reluctantly, her lashes brushing the pillow as she squinted at the brightness. Despite the promise of a new day, a heaviness clung to her body, the kind of exhaustion that didn’t come from late-night choreography or endless vocal practices—but from secrets.
Her mind replayed the memory of the night before, the stolen moments in the alleyway behind the rehearsal studio where Jinu waited for her to head off to a secluded park where no one could see or recognize them. His smile had been boyish, slightly crooked, and disarming in ways she didn’t expect. Rumi had pressed a small box into his hands, a brand-new phone, whispering hurriedly that he should use it for them—just them—so Zoey and Mira wouldn’t catch on. It was reckless. It was thrilling. And now, lying in her bed with tangled sheets and tired eyes, it weighed on her chest like a sweet but dangerous dream.
Rumi yawned and sat up, smoothing her disheveled hair. Her tiger plushie, Derpy, sat propped against the headboard, staring at her with that permanently dopey stitched grin. On the windowsill, Sussie the Magpie—Jinu’s odd little pet and occasional spy which wears a tiny hat—fluttered her wings and gave a sharp, judgmental squawk as if she knew exactly what Rumi had been up to.
“Don’t give me that look,” Rumi muttered, throwing the blanket off and stretching her arms overhead. “It’s just… friendship. Totally normal, secret, suspicious friendship.”
Sussie tilted her head, unimpressed.
By the time Rumi padded down to the kitchen, Mira and Zoey were already there. The kitchen was modern, bright, with white counters and colorful fruit bowls that looked more like props than actual food. Mira stood by the stove, stirring eggs in a pan, her dark hair tied up into a neat bun, ever the composed one. Zoey sat at the counter, rhythmically tapping her spoon against a cereal bowl, her energy vibrating even though it was barely morning.
“Morning, Rumi,” Mira greeted, her voice warm but sharp enough to notice the slight shadows under Rumi’s eyes. “You look tired. Were you up late again?”
“Practicing,” Rumi lied smoothly, sliding onto a stool. “Couldn’t get the chorus right in my head.”
Zoey snorted, flipping her pink-streaked bangs dramatically. “Or you were binging dramas again. I swear, you’re secretly a grandma with your taste.”
Rumi forced a laugh, though her heart skipped at the accusation, however misplaced. Mira shook her head, sighing in mock disapproval.
The three girls settled into breakfast, the conversation quickly turning from teasing to business. Between bites, Zoey leaned forward, eyes sparkling. “Okay, so… we still have two weeks, right? Two weeks to wrap up this takedown mission before the Idol Awards. We cannot, absolutely cannot, fight demons while in sequins. I draw the line there.”
Mira nodded firmly. “Agreed. If we’re efficient, we can finish the job before rehearsals get too intense. We’ve balanced both before.”
Rumi chewed her toast slowly, the weight of their double lives hanging between their words. They weren’t just idols. They were demon hunters—guardians hidden behind the glitter of the K-pop world. Their fans saw perfection, flawless choreography, radiant smiles. None of them saw the late-night hunts, the bruises carefully concealed under stage makeup, or the way their bodies ached for reasons entirely unrelated to dance.
Before Rumi could reply, the kitchen door swung open with dramatic flair. In stepped Bobby, their ever-flustered but well-meaning manager, holding a clipboard and his phone like both were glued to his hands.
“Girls!” he announced, practically out of breath as though he’d run up the stairs. “Big news. HUGE news.”
Zoey perked up immediately. “What is it? New endorsement deal? Limited-edition sneakers named after me?”
Bobby shook his head, adjusting his glasses. “The Idol Awards. The venue’s under renovation, so the event has been postponed until next month.”
For a moment, the kitchen was silent. Then Mira exhaled, visibly relieved. “That gives us so much more time.”
Zoey cheered, nearly knocking over her cereal bowl. “Yes! I was worried we’d have to fight demons in platform heels. Do you know how hard that is?”
Rumi smiled softly, the tension easing from her shoulders. More time meant less rushing, less pressure. Maybe… more moments with Jinu, too.
Bobby continued rambling about schedule adjustments and new rehearsal times, but the girls were already buzzing with their own thoughts, their laughter and chatter filling the room like sunlight.
Later, back in her room, Rumi closed the door with a quiet click. Derpy the Tiger sat waiting on her bed, floppy and loyal. Sussie fluttered from the windowsill to perch on her shoulder, nipping her hair as if reminding her she was being watched.
“Don’t worry, Sussie,” Rumi whispered, sitting cross-legged on the bed. “I’m not doing anything wrong.”
Her phone buzzed. Her heart skipped.
Jinu: Did you hear the news?
She grinned, thumbs flying across the screen.
Rumi: Yeah. Looks like Idol Awards are next month instead. You and the Saja Boys must be celebrating.
A moment later, his reply popped up.
Jinu: You know it. Extra time means less stress… and more chances to maybe run into certain people 😉
Rumi’s cheeks flushed. She hugged Derpy close to her chest, biting her lip.
Rumi: Oh? And who might those people be?
Jinu: I think you know. She has the prettiest smile I’ve ever seen. And she gave me a phone, remember?
Her heart raced at his boldness. The thrill of it, the danger of secrets, filled her chest like fire. She typed back quickly, fingers trembling slightly.
Rumi: Well, whoever she is… she sounds reckless. Giving gifts like that. What if someone finds out?
Jinu: Then it’ll be worth it. Some risks are worth taking.
Sussie squawked again, as if scandalized. Rumi tossed a pillow at the magpie playfully.
Her phone buzzed again.
Jinu: By the way… are you free tonight? Just for a quick chat?
Rumi hesitated. Her gaze flicked to Derpy’s stitched eyes, to Sussie’s feathers glinting in the light. Secrets weren’t just fun; they were dangerous. She had a team, a family, a mission. But her heart tugged her in a different direction.
Rumi: I’ll see what I can do.
She pressed send, then tossed her phone aside, falling back onto the bed. Above her, the ceiling fan spun lazily, as though mocking the storm swirling inside her.
Because Rumi knew something she hadn’t admitted to anyone—not Zoey, not Mira, not even to herself fully. Being an idol was one mask. Being a demon hunter was another. But when she was with Jinu, for just a fleeting moment, she felt like she could take both masks off. And that scared her more than any demon ever could.
The rest of the day stretched on with rehearsals, laughter, and casual normalcy that almost convinced Rumi nothing had changed. But deep down, she knew everything had.
Chapter 3: Huntrix x Saja Boys: Bingo Night
Summary:
Since the Idol Awards have been pushed back for another month. Bobby signed Huntrix for a bingo game night with Fans in order to get their attention away from the Saja Boys. Their plan is working at first until Jinu, Abby, Baby, Mystery, and Romance show up foiling the girls plans.
Chapter Text
The practice studio had never looked so different. Gone were the heavy equipment cases and mirrored walls filled with echoes of choreography. In their place stood rows of tables draped in pastel tablecloths, each one dotted with bowls of chips, trays of rice cakes, and stacks of brightly colored bingo cards. Fairy lights twinkled above, their warm glow softening the usually intense, high-energy space.
“This is either the cutest thing we’ve ever done,” Mira muttered as she unfolded a chair, “or the dumbest.”
“It’s genius,” Bobby said, bustling around with a clipboard. “Fans want connection. Fans want cozy. Fans want… this!” He gestured broadly at the glittery banner:
✨ Huntrix Bingo Night ✨
Zoey leaned against the wall with her arms crossed. “Or fans want actual music and stages. You sure about this, Bobby?”
“Trust me,” Bobby said, not missing a beat. “You’ll charm them, they’ll post about it, and bam—Huntrix keeps the spotlight. It’ll pull attention away from the Saja Boys.”
The name made the room tighten. The Saja Boys—smooth, cocky, mysterious—had been a thorn in their side for months. They weren’t just rivals; they were demons in disguise, and that made them dangerous.
But Huntrix didn’t have time to dwell. Fans began to pour in, their excitement filling the room like music.
The first half-hour was exactly what Bobby had promised. Fans laughed, numbers were called, winners shouted, “Bingo!” with triumphant glee.
Rumi held the microphone, her voice soft but cheerful. “Next number is… O-73!”
Groans and cheers echoed. A girl in the back jumped up, waving her card. “Bingo!”
Fans clapped. Huntrix clapped. Bobby looked smug.
It was working.
And then the doors opened.
Jinu stepped through first, confident as always, followed by Abby, Baby, Mystery, and Romance. The room erupted. Fans screamed, phones shot up, hashtags already forming in their minds.
“Oh, you’ve got to be kidding me,” Mira hissed under her breath.
“Hey,” Jinu said casually, flashing a grin. “Hope we’re not late to the party.”
Romance swept his hair back dramatically. “We heard there was bingo. Couldn’t resist.”
Bobby’s smile wavered. Zoey muttered, “More like you couldn’t resist stealing our thunder.”
But before Huntrix could object, Rumi—always the peacekeeper—lifted her mic. “Why not? Let’s have the Saja Boys join us! The more players, the more fun.”
The fans exploded with cheers. There was no turning back.
Seats shuffled, and somehow—by chance or fate—pairs were made:
Rumi & Jinu. Fans gasped at the pairing, whispers flying like sparks.
Mira with Romance and Abby. Her scowl promised chaos.
Zoey with Baby and Mystery. She looked like she’d been sentenced to babysitting twins.
The game began anew.
“N-42,” Rumi called out, scanning her card.
“Got it,” Jinu said at the exact same moment she circled the square.
They froze, then chuckled awkwardly, earning a wave of squeals from fans.
Another number came. G-52. Both of their markers hit the page at once.
“Are you copying me?” Jinu teased, leaning closer. His cologne, warm and faintly spiced, curled around her.
Rumi’s cheeks flushed. “I could ask you the same.”
They tried to focus, but the universe—or fate—kept pulling them into sync. Their hands reached for the snack bowl at the same time. Their heads tilted together as they compared cards. Their laughter overlapped, soft and unplanned.
Fans whispered loudly. “They’re so in tune!” “Look at them—soulmates.” “#RumiJinu is real!”
Rumi’s heart raced, but she forced herself to keep her composure. Don’t look suspicious. Don’t look suspicious.
When Jinu leaned close enough for only her to hear, his whisper sent shivers down her spine. “Feels like we’ve done this a hundred times before, doesn’t it?”
Rumi bit her lip, pretending to study the card. “Maybe we just… work well together.”
Across the table, Mira was in hell.
“So, Mira,” Romance drawled, his chin propped in his palm. “Do you believe in destiny? Because I feel like fate put us at the same table.”
Mira snorted. “Fate put me here to punish me.”
Abby laughed, swooping in smoothly. “Ignore him. Mira, you and I should team up. I bet we’d dominate this board together.”
“Dream on,” Mira muttered, aggressively circling a square.
Romance leaned closer, his voice dropping. “She’s just playing hard to get. Don’t worry, Abby, I’ll win her over first.”
“Not if I get there first,” Abby shot back, winking at Mira.
Fans nearby giggled, whispering about the love triangle unfolding. To them, it was playful banter. To Mira, it was unbearable.
“Focus on the game, not on me,” she snapped.
Romance smirked. “Can’t help it. You’re more interesting than these numbers.”
Meanwhile, Zoey’s table was a comedy show.
Baby waved her card dramatically. “We’re so close! Just one more number!”
Mystery squinted at the board. “Uh… Baby, that’s the wrong column. You circled B-7 under G.”
Baby gasped. “Oh. Oops.”
Zoey groaned. “Can we please take this seriously?!”
The next number was called—O-61. Mystery slapped his card triumphantly. “Bingo!”
Fans clapped, but when the card was checked…
“Um,” Bobby said, holding it up, “you don’t actually have a bingo.”
Zoey buried her face in her hands. “This is embarrassing.”
Baby leaned over to Mystery. “I told you to go diagonal!”
“You said zigzag!” Mystery protested.
Fans howled with laughter, recording the whole disaster. Zoey slumped lower and lower in her seat.
Back at Rumi and Jinu’s table, the tension thickened.
Every time Rumi’s hand moved, Jinu’s followed. When their fingers brushed over the same chip, both pulled back with nervous smiles.
“You’re doing this on purpose,” Rumi whispered, trying not to let her lips tremble.
“Maybe,” Jinu said softly, his eyes locking on hers.
The room faded for a moment, the chatter of fans and the teasing of other players falling into the background. It was just them—sitting side by side, pretending this was coincidence when it was anything but.
Then the number was called: I-24.
Together, they circled their squares, their markers clicking in perfect unison.
“Bingo!” they shouted together.
The room erupted. Fans screamed. Phones flashed.
“Couple bingo!” someone shouted. “They said it together!”
When Bobby handed them the prize—matching plush fox keychains—Rumi’s cheeks turned crimson. Jinu smirked, holding his up. “Guess we’re official now.”
Meanwhile, Mira’s patience snapped.
Romance leaned so close his hair brushed her shoulder. “You smell like strawberries. Is that your shampoo?”
Abby immediately countered, “Ignore him. Tell me, Mira, if you had to pick one of us as your bingo partner forever, who would it be?”
“Neither!” Mira barked, slamming her marker on the table. Fans laughed, thinking it was part of the act, but Mira was seconds away from storming out.
Abby just grinned. “I’ll take that as a challenge.”
Romance winked. “Me too.”
Zoey, on the other hand, was ready to combust.
“How—HOW—are we the only ones with zero bingos?!” she cried, staring at their ruined card.
Baby shrugged, munching on chips. “We’re just unlucky.”
Mystery twirled his marker. “Or maybe the numbers hate us.”
Zoey groaned. “No, it’s because you two keep circling random stuff!”
Fans cackled as Baby circled a number that hadn’t even been called yet. “See? I’m manifesting it.”
“Manifesting doesn’t work in bingo!” Zoey shouted.
As the games wound down, the energy in the studio was electric. Fans left chattering about Rumi and Jinu’s “perfect sync,” Mira’s love triangle chaos, and Zoey’s total disaster team. Social media blew up instantly, #RumiJinu trending worldwide within minutes.
Huntrix tried to smile through it, but in their hearts, they knew the Saja Boys had stolen the spotlight yet again.
Hours later, Rumi sat in her dorm room, hair damp from a shower, her plush fox keychain sitting on her nightstand. Her phone buzzed.
Jinu: Glad we won tonight. 🦊
She smiled despite herself.
Rumi: You made it suspicious. Everyone noticed.
Jinu: Good. Maybe I want them to notice.
Her breath caught.
Rumi: …Don’t joke.
Jinu: Who said I’m joking? Anyway, you free tomorrow?
Rumi glanced toward the bedroom door where Zoey and Mira were asleep in their own rooms. She typed carefully.
Rumi: Maybe. Why?
Jinu: Because I want to see you. No Huntrix. No Saja Boys. Just us.
Her heart thudded painfully.
Rumi: Okay. Where?
Jinu: I’ll send you the spot. Be ready.
Rumi hugged her pillow, staring at the ceiling. Dangerous, reckless… but she couldn’t help the smile tugging at her lips.
“What are we doing, Jinu?” she whispered.
But deep down, she already knew.
Chapter 4: Watching and Waiting
Summary:
Rumi lets Zoey paint her nails as she waits for her upcoming date that's happening.
Chapter Text
Rumi felt like time was moving too slowly. She did everything to keep herself busy like reading a book, rewriting Take Down, and taking a nap, but nothing seemed to be working. Luckily, Zoey approached her and needed a test subject to paint someone’s nails, Rumi agreed to be that test subject.
"Thank you for agreeing to be my client for today," Zoey said. "I tried asking Mira but she said that she doesn't like the smell."
"No problem at all," Rumi replied. She watched as Zoey opened up a bag full of her collection of nail polish and poured out on the table between them. She tried counting each and every one but it was more nail polish than she could count.
"What color do you want to go for?" Zoey asked. Her eyes sparkled with excitement. Rumi knew that she was going to name each and every one if she took longer on deciding. Her eyes landed on an electric blue color.
"I'll have this one." Rumi said. She picked up the container of nails polish that she chose and handed it to Zoey. It was completely different from what she'd normally pick out but she just wanted to get out of her comfort zone and chose something different.
"Look at you, expanding your color pallet." Zoey said. "You're such a baddie!"
Rumi couldn’t help but laugh.
"Since this might be a while, let's play a game." Zoey bounced with excitement.
"What type of game?" Rumi stared at the Zoey with a confused look. She can't exactly play games with Zoey doing her nails.
Zoey immediately took out her phone and quickly found what she was looking for.
"20 question?" Rumi stared at the phone with disbelief. "That’s a game for teenagers."
Zoey looked at her and gave her the best puppy dog eyes.
"Would you rather have more time or more money?" Rumi asked. She watched Zoey happily paint her nails. Rumi couldn't believe that she fell for the puppy dog eyes.
"Hmm, that's a very hard question," Zoey said. "But I would want to have more time with the people I love the most." She stopped to dip the nail brush in the container and looked at Rumi out of curiosity. "What about you?"
Rumi looked at her and smiled softly at her friend. "I agree with what you said." But in the back of her mind she was screaming money.
"What is your underrated hobby?" Rumi asked.
"Does smelling scented candles count as a hobby?" Zoey replied. She was completely focused on Rumi’s nail that she completely missed Rumi’s confused expression.
"I guess it counts." She said, her eyes immediately glance towards the clock, then at Zoey who was now working on her middle finger. Her stomach turned with excitement just at the thought of seeing Jinu in a few hours, time definitely felt very quick whenever Zoey was around.
"What is your own definition of beautiful?" Zoey asked.
Rumi looked at Zoey and gave her a soft smile. "My definition of beautiful would be someone as energetic as Zoey, and someone as fierce like Mira." She watched as Zoey’s eyes lit up like a Christmas tree.
"And I think someone as brave like Rumi is a definition of beauty." Zoey said.
Rumi’s smile dropped the moment Zoey continued painting her nails. She appreciated her for the compliment, but she never really felt beautiful with her patterns. She didn't understand why her compliment bothered her so much. Maybe she'll feel that way once they turn the Honmoon gold, get rid of Gwi-ma, and get rid of her patterns.
After a few more rounds of ridiculous questions, hilarious answers, and some nail paint from a different hand, Zoey was officially done with Rumi’s nails.
"So, what do you think?" Zoey asked. She watched Rumi examine her work. "Do you like it?"
Rumi continued to admire her work, she smiled slightly. "I love it, you’re sure a natural at this."
"Now, that would be twenty bucks." Zoey said. Her expression showing that she meant business.
"There’s a twenty in my purse, you know where it is." Rumi sighed. She wasn't really surprised, she knows Zoey goes snooping in her bedroom for money, she pretends not to even notice that she does.
"Thanks Rumi," Zoey said. She immediately runs down the hallway towards Rumi’s bedroom, leaving Rumi all alone in the kitchen.
Rumi sighed as she looked at the mess of nail polish that was scattered on the kitchen island. She began putting them back in Zoey’s container bag one by one until they were all put away. Maybe, Zoey could give her a twenty for cleaning up her mess.
She glanced at the clock again. Rumi had a good amount of time left until Jinu sent Derpy over to pick her up, she already picked out what she wanted to wear for her secret date meeting with Jinu. The big question was, where is her taking her? What would a 400-year-old demon in the 21st century have in mind as a date? Has Jinu been on a date with someone 400 years ago? Did they even have dates back then? Was she prettier than his date back then? Rumi had so many thoughts going on in her mind.
"I'm so happy Jinu’s past girlfriend's are dead." Rumi murmured to herself. She didn't understand why she felt that way.
After having an existential crisis thinking about Jinu’s past lovers, Zoey finally came out of her room looking suspicious but completely satisfied.
"Thanks for the payment," Zoey said. Holding the twenty dollars in her hand.
Rumi shook her head and smiled softly at her. "No problem at all."
Suddenly, the elevator to the apartment automatically opened with Mira walking in their view. "I got some ramen for dinner!" Mira announced, holding up the grocery bags of proof.
"Yay, Ramen," Rumi and Zoey shouted with excitement.
The three girls enjoyed their dinner together as Zoey presented Mira with Rumi’s painted nails.
Later, as they cleaned up and watched some K-dramas, the girls went on with their night routine as usual with getting ready for bed.
Rumi was alone in her room after she took a quick shower, brushed her teeth, and put on her clothes for her secret night out. Her phone buzzed faintly on the nightstand which she immediately jumped on her bed to grab to see if Jinu texted her. She was disappointed to see that he didn't but it didn't hurt to text him.
She tapped his name tag and started typing her message
Rumi: Hey Jinu-Bug
She hit send. Rumi smiled to herself and waited.
Jinu started typing
Jinu: Jinu-Bug?
Rumi: You don't like it? ☹️
Even though Jinu couldn’t see her face right now, she was playfully pouting.
Jinu: I like it, it was just really unexpected.
Jinu: Does that mean I can give you a nickname?
Rumi rolled her eyes. She her smile grew.
Rumi: Don’t let it be embarrassing.
Jinu: Sure thing
Rumi: So, how has your day been?
Jinu: Eventful, Baby got kicked out of his apartment and is now living with Mystery
Rumi: Own apartment? Do you guys not live together?
Jinu: We tried, but it was a complete mess and a fire happened.
Rumi: Very intriguing
Jinu: Anyways, I can't wait to see you
Rumi’s heart pounded just looking at the text.
Rumi: Neither can I
Rumi: So what do you have planned?
Jinu: Something beautiful
Rumi: That’s all I get? 🙄
Jinu: You're so stubborn Rumi-Doo
Rumi stared with a unimpressed look.
Rumi: Good one Jinu-Bug
Jinu: I'm so glad you liked it.
Jinu: Alright
I'm sending Derpy to come get you now
See you in a few. 🤗
Rumi: See you later 💜
Rumi set her phone down as she got up from her bed and made her way to the mirror in the corner of her bedroom. Once she made sure that she looked presentable, she sat down down on her bed, Celine was going to kill her if words got out that she was going out on a date with a demon. Zoey and Mira were going to be so disappointed in her. But she decided that she'll worry about the consequences later, for now she just wanted to impress her date.
Her thoughts were soon interrupted when Derpy the Tiger somehow gracefully landed on her balcony. Rumi smiled as she quietly grabbed her purse and phone. She opened her balcony door and left it a bit open to get back in so she won't get locked out. She gave Derpy a good pat on the head and couldn't help but smile when she heard him purr.
"Alright Derpy," Rumi whispered. "Take me to Jinu." She gave him an ear scratch and Derpy took off into the night sky with the city lights overhead.
Chapter 5: A Night of Firsts
Summary:
Rumi and Jinu enjoy their first date.
Chapter Text
The moon hung low over the Seoul skyline, a pale silver lantern watching over the quiet streets. Neon signs flickered in the distance, humming with the remnants of a busy city night, but here in a tucked-away alley lit only by a single streetlamp—the world felt like it had exhaled and paused just for them.
Derpy the Tiger padded to a stop, his massive striped body lowering with a soft grunt. His tail flicked playfully as Rumi slid off his back, her sneakers crunching against the pavement. She smoothed out her jacket, tucking a strand of loose hair behind her ear as she gave Derpy an affectionate pat on the head.
“Thanks, buddy,” she whispered. Derpy let out a satisfied purr, which, given his size, sounded more like the low rumble of a motorcycle engine.
Waiting in the dim glow of the streetlamp was Jinu. His posture was formal as always upright, composed, hands clasped behind his back as if he’d just stepped out of another century. Which, technically, he had. But tonight, he looked… softer. His usual flowing attire had been traded for something more casual: a crisp button-down shirt tucked neatly into dark slacks, the fabric catching faint moonlight. What caught Rumi’s attention, though, was the small corsage he held delicately in one hand.
“Rumi,” he greeted with a small bow, his lips curving in that warm but restrained smile of his. He lifted the corsage as though presenting an offering. “This is for you.”
Rumi blinked, then laughed, light and incredulous, the sound bouncing off the alley walls. “A corsage? What is this, prom night?”
Jinu tilted his head, clearly puzzled. “Prom?” The word rolled awkwardly on his tongue, unfamiliar.
“You don’t know prom?” she asked, still giggling. “It’s like… a big school dance. Super cheesy. People get dressed up, and, y’know, corsages are kind of the thing.” She wiggled her fingers at him, teasing.
Jinu’s brows furrowed slightly, the way they always did when modern culture tripped him up. “Four hundred years ago, we did not… have this ‘prom.’” His tone was serious, but Rumi could see the faint twitch of a smile tugging at his mouth.
“Well, then, guess you just accidentally reinvented teenage romance.” She slipped the corsage onto her wrist, still chuckling. “But it’s cute. I’ll give you that.”
Something softened in Jinu’s eyes, the faintest gleam of pride. “I am relieved it pleases you.” He extended an arm toward the street. “Shall we begin our evening?”
The aquarium was quiet when they arrived, its glass façade reflecting the city lights like a giant prism. Inside, the echo of their footsteps followed them down dimly lit halls. The tanks stretched high above their heads, glowing softly with shades of sapphire and emerald. Schools of fish darted through beams of filtered light, like shards of living gemstones.
Rumi pressed her hands to the glass, wide-eyed. “Whoa… they’re so beautiful.”
Her breath fogged the glass as she followed the graceful sweep of a stingray gliding past. Jinu stood a step behind, watching her more intently than the aquatic life.
He had seen oceans rise and fall, storms rage across centuries, and demons born of darkness—but seeing Rumi’s reflection in the blue glow, her eyes alight with childlike wonder, felt rarer than all of it.
Then he noticed it. The faint glow of her demon patterns shimmered faintly along her arms, reacting unconsciously to the soft, watery light. They pulsed gently, as though they were alive.
“Your patterns…” Jinu said quietly, almost reverently.
Rumi stiffened, pulling her sleeves down in reflex. “Oh. That. Sorry. They just… do that sometimes.”
“They look beautiful,” he said simply.
She turned to him, surprised. “Beautiful?” Her laugh was nervous, a little sharp. “Jinu, these aren’t beautiful. They’re… weird. Scary. Do you know what Zoey asked earlier while doing my nails? She asked what my definition of beautiful was.” Her gaze dropped to the faint glow beneath her skin. “And it’s not this. Not these patterns. They don’t feel like me. They feel like a reminder that I’m… different.”
Silence stretched between them, broken only by the bubbling of a nearby tank.
Jinu stepped closer, his presence steady and grounding. “Rumi.” His voice was firm but gentle. “You are wrong.”
She blinked, taken aback.
“Your patterns are not separate from you. They are part of who you are—the strength you carry, the battles you have fought, the legacy you uphold.” His eyes locked onto hers, unwavering. “To deny them is to deny yourself. And I…” He paused, searching for the right words. “…I find them radiant. Because they are yours.”
The words sank into her like sunlight, warming places she hadn’t realized were cold. Her throat tightened, and before she could form a reply, Jinu leaned forward.
His lips brushed against hers—gentle, tentative, like a promise rather than a demand. Rumi froze for half a second, then melted into it, heart racing. It was her first kiss, and somehow it was exactly what she had imagined it should be: soft, slow, unforgettable.
When they pulled apart, her face felt like it was on fire. “…Okay,” she whispered, half to herself. “That was… definitely beautiful.”
Jinu allowed himself a small smile. “Then I am glad.”
Later, as they strolled through the streets, Rumi spotted an antique shop tucked between two tall buildings. Its window was crowded with curiosities: porcelain dolls, brass clocks, weathered books, and trinkets that looked like they carried secrets.
“Can we go in?” she asked eagerly.
Inside, the air smelled faintly of old wood and dust. Rumi’s eyes darted from shelf to shelf, fascinated by the clutter. Jinu’s gaze, however, landed almost instantly on a small vintage box resting in a glass case. It was ornate, carved with swirling patterns that almost resembled her own glowing marks.
“Rumi,” he said softly, gesturing.
She leaned in, her breath catching. “Whoa. That’s… actually kind of perfect.”
Without hesitation, Jinu purchased it. As they stepped outside, he handed her the box. “For us,” he said simply.
Rumi hugged it to her chest, grinning. “Thanks, Jinu.” On impulse, she leaned in and kissed him—this time, quick but deliberate.
The night air was crisp, filled with the distant sounds of the city. Derpy bounded up to them, his tail swishing. Rumi laughed, scratching behind his ear.
“You know,” she said, “I don’t want this date to end yet. What if we take Derpy to the park? Let him run around, get some fresh air?”
Jinu tilted his head, considering. Then he nodded. “I would like that.”
So they did.
The park was quiet at this hour, the grass still damp with evening dew. Derpy tore across the open field like a giant, joyful blur of stripes, pouncing on fallen leaves and rolling in the grass. Rumi and Jinu sat side by side on a bench, watching.
“Look at him go,” Rumi said, laughing as Derpy chased his own tail. “He’s like a big kid.”
Jinu glanced at her, his expression soft. “As are you.”
She nudged his shoulder playfully. “Hey, I’ll take that as a compliment.”
The night stretched on, filled with laughter, quiet words, and the soft glow of her patterns under the moonlight. For the first time in a long time, Rumi didn’t feel the weight of her differences. She just felt… herself. And with Jinu beside her, that was enough.
Chapter 6: An Unexpected Way For a Date to End
Summary:
Rumi and Jinu’s date continues but it takes an unexpected turn.
Chapter Text
If someone had told Rumi a week ago that she was currently on an official date with Jinu after secretly communicating, she would've never believed them. But something about Jinu’s presence compared to other demon's she encountered felt completely different. She didn't know how te describe those feelings, but she felt completely understood by him that no one else could.
Rumi and Jinu sat close together on the park bench watching Derpy The Tiger playfully rolling around in the grass, having the time of his life as Rumi and Jinu watched from afar laughing. The moonlight shined brightly over them like they were the stars of the show. They sat in comfortable silence as if they'd done this before.
Jinu turned to face her. "Rumi." He cleared his throat.
"Yes, Jinu," She replied. She couldn't help but notice Jinu’s somber look on his face.
"I lied to you about my sister and mother." Jinu said looking down at his hands. "I was completely selfish that I chose living comfortably with the best conditions, while I left them with nothing but to fend for themselves."
Rumi listened as he continued to story.
"Gwi-ma saw my vulnerability about my guilt and used it to his advantage, turning me into what I am right now," he continued as tears rolled down his cheek. "He promised that everything will go away unless we weakened the Honmoon, but now that I'm with you I don't want to be his puppet, you make me want to turn my life around and break out of that darkness."
Jinu’s eyes met Rumi’s.
"I'm sorry I lied to you. I hope you can forgive me," Jinu looked down ashamed.
Rumi sat quietly on the bench, processing the information Jinu gave her. She wasn't mad about him lying, she guessed he wasn't comfortable with sharing some dark family situation that he wasn’t ready to revisit. Her heart breaks to see him all distraught by his choices.
"Thank you for being honest." Rumi said softly. "I know it must be very difficult to share something traumatic." Rumi’s soft fingers reached out to Jinu’s cheek drying the tears on his face.
She layed her head on his shoulder while their hands automatically found one another as their fingers intertwined. The world disappeared around them as they only focused on each other like nothing else mattered.
After a while Jinu broke the silence.
"You're very special," he said softly as he admired her patterns that was glowing underneath Rumi’s sweatshirt.
"Thanks Jinu," Rumi giggled. "I find you very special as well." Rumi laughed at the sudden change in the mood that went from crying to unexpectedly laughing in one moment. She wanted to keep it that way.
Jinu’s eyes landed on the vintage box that was sitting on the grass and then back to Rumi. "Crazy how we found a box that looks just like your patterns." He said. Rumi’s eyes followed his gaze and laughed at the coincidence. "I think it's beautiful." She replied, she smiled slightly as she thought back to their conversation about how he found her beautiful back at the aquarium.
"We should use it as some sort of collection for our dates." Rumi said gently getting up from the bench, Jinu immediately followed, his curiosity visible like an interested dog seeing a new chew toy.
Rumi took both of his hands and smiled softly. "I want us to have fun memories of our time together, something we can look back on together and see how when we're together, nothing will get in our way, and that our love is worth fighting for." She blushed as he stepped closer. His eyes lingered toward her lips.
"With you, fighting with you is worth it." Jinu’s eyes shimmered across with desire.
Rumi knew now was the moment. The one time she could give in, and it would be something she wants to fight for. He was something worth danger.
She inched closer to his mouth, drawn in, helpless in the pull. She licked her lips in anticipation and his own parted. Rumi stood on her toes and Jinu met her halfway. When their lips brushed, it was a soft, endearing question. A silent request. It was sweet and brief.
Too brief.
She molded her lips over his, taking charge of the kiss, letting the excitement and attraction lead her.
He let her press harder against him, a moan sounding in the back of his throat. The noise spurred her on and she gripped her fingers in the soft hair at the back of his neck, pulling him impossibly closer. His hands tightened on her hips, and she could feel every hard plane and defined muscle of his body.
She wanted the world to melt away. She needed this moment to be theirs and to be alone, but too soon he was pulling away, gripping her hands gently and taking them from his neck.
Her eyes opened and his were molten, spearing into her, a whisper of a promise in their smoky depths. His lips pulled in a small smile, and he brushed his thumbs along the soft skin of her hand.
Jinu opened his mouth, but something in the air changed from peaceful to something heavy. They looked up, Rumi’s eyes widened at what she was seeing. The Honmoon was breaking apart and something big was heading towards them.
"No," Jinu said softly. "Gwi-ma's heading our way."
Rumi gasped in shock. Instantly, she summoned her blade as the Demon lord stood a few steps away from them, and he doesn't look happy.
"You failed me." Gwi-ma growled. His eyes staring down at Jinu with anger. "I gave you enough chances and you disobey each other every one."
Jinu fought the urge to look away from Gwi-ma, but for the first time ever, he wasn't afraid of him, he wasn't afraid of the consequences for his own disobedience. He was feeling brave.
"I don't regret anything." Jinu’s eyes narrowed as he faced the monster in front of him. His hands found his way towards Rumi’s locking instantly with her fingers.
Gwi-ma growled angrily getting ready to attack. "See you in the afterlife." Rumi and Jinu watched in horror as the king of demons charged towards them, Rumi lifted up her blade getting ready to attack. As Gwi-ma stepped closer, Derpy who was happily rolling around, tripped Gwi-ma causing him to fall forward and losing his balance. Rumi and Jinu watched as Gwi-ma fell forward, a sudden light from below them started glowing and Gwi-ma was immediately sucked in, disappearing completely as the box automatically closed leaving Rumi and Jinu in complete disbelief with what they witnessed.
"What the heck just happened!" Rumi shrieked, eyes not leaving the box as if it was playing a trick on her. Jinu on the other hand looked up at the sky with confusion.
"Does the Honmoon look golden to you?" Jinu asked as his eyes narrowed towards the sky.
Rumi followed his gaze. She gasped. The Honmoon was sealed, stronger than it ever was from generations back. How was she going to explain this to Celine? How was she going to explain this to Mira and Zoey? On one hand, she was relieved that Gwi-ma was gone, but on the other hand, she was in a sticky situation.
"We need to figure out what to do with this box," Jinu said softly. Rumi watched as Jinu carefully picked it up. She let out a deep breath when nothing happened.
Jinu’s eyes stared into Rumi’s with a comforting weight that left Rumi felt like everything was going to be okay. As long as they were together, they'll figure it out.
"The box will be in my apartment, kept safe." Jinu said as he stared down at the box. "We can't risk it getting into the wrong hands, who knows what will happen." Rumi nodded in agreement, she was a little worried about leaving the box with Jinu, she didn't want to imagine what could possibly happen if Gwi-ma is able to get free and Jinu would get hurt in the process. She couldn’t let that happen but she trusted Jinu would be okay.
Jinu cleared his throat pulling Rumi out of her mind that was racing from endless possibilities that could lead to something disastrous. "We have to get you home safely." Jinu said softly, he stepped forward giving Rumi a soft peck on the lips. Rumi couldn't help but smile.
"We should do this again sometime," Rumi said gently laughing as Jinu lifted her onto Derpy. "But not when we're almost killed by Demons." She winked.
Jinu shook his head and smiled softly at her. "I promise to give you everything you wish for." He gave her a quick kiss on Rumi’s forehead before signaling to Derpy to get her home safely. He watched as they disappeared into the darkness of the night sky and smiled to himself.
He looked down at the box that captured Gwi-ma. "Choosing Rumi over taking over the world is the best decision I've ever made in a long time." He murmured to himself. Grey smoke scattered around him as he teleported from the park to his living room. He walked over to a safe, opening it up with a code that only he knew, and placed the box safely inside before closing it.
His phone buzzed. He turned it on and smiled.
Rumi: I'm home now
Rumi: Thanks for an amazing date 😍
Rumi: Sleep well tonight.
Jinu was surely happy with his decision.
Chapter 7: Emergency Meeting
Summary:
Celine drops by the apartment with shocking news about Gwi-ma and the Honmoon. Celine has Rumi go undercover to get any information using the Saja Boys. Rumi and Jinu try to figure out how to get rid of Gwi-ma for good while trying not to seem like they are close.
Chapter Text
The next morning Rumi quietly ate her breakfast with Mira and Zoey while they go over their schedules for today. Every so often her mind drifted off to yesterday where Gwi-ma tried to attack her and Jinu only to get sucked off into some magical box. She just couldn't stop thinking about how the most romantic night of her life turned into a near death experience. Before her mind could wander off even more, the elevator door opened automatically. The three girls turned around to find Celine with a serious expression on her face.
"Celine," Rumi said nervously. "So nice of you to drop by." Rumi groaned in her head. She wasn't mentally prepared but she knew Why Celine was here.
"Girls, the Honmoon is stronger, and it wasn’t you guys that turned it golden, something else did." Celine said, eyes narrowed at all three of the girls.
"How is that possible?" Mira mumbled.
"That’s completely insane," Rumi coughed, trying not to act suspicious.
"Thank goodness," Zoey added. Both Mira and Rumi looked at Zoey with confusion. "What-- Someone did the work for us!" Zoey grinned as she went back to eating her cereal.
"So, what's the big issue with the Honmoon being restored?" Mira asked.
"There’s a possibility that one of the members of the Saja Boys betrayed Gwi-ma and has captured him where he's stuck forever." Celine shook her head and her eyes automatically locked onto Rumi, an idea came to her mind that she'd make the perfect choice for this mission.
"For this, I need Rumi to earn the Saja Boys leader's trust to get any information on what went wrong." Celine stared at Rumi with complete faith in her, ignoring the protest that Zoey and Mira were doing behind her.
"I won't let you down." Rumi smiled slightly, completely ignoring Zoey and Mira’s disapproval. She enjoyed giving them high blood pressure over the most dangerous situation that she's assigned.
Celine gave her a look of approval for her determination. "I trust that you know what you're doing. I'll be on my way, call me if you need anything." The middle aged woman said as she made her way towards the elevator.
Zoey, Mira, and Rumi waved her goodbye until the elevator door closed.
Mira looked at Rumi with uncertainty. "Are you sure you can handle Jinu? What if he doesn't cooperate?"
Rumi smirked as she playfully patted Mira’s head. "Don't you worry your pretty little head about Jinu! Your auntie Rumi has it all taken care of!" Mira watched as Rumi disappeared into the hallway and into her room.
"I'm a year older than you!" Mira snapped. Zoey giggled bringing Mira’s attention about a new trampoline park that they should go to.
Back in Rumi’s bedroom, she paced around hoping to come up with a plan to tell Jinu. Celine was suspicious about him and needed her to do some digging about Gwi-ma's mysterious disappearance. Since her and Jinu were are already in a private relationship she realized that she can't automatically turn him in without it looking like he trusted her. She needed to take her time.
"I really need to see Jinu!" Rumi groaned.
The next thing she knew, white smoke surrounded her, and now she was standing next to Jinu in what seems to be in Jinu’s living room apartment.
"What just happened?" Rumi stared down at her hands with a shocked expression.
Jinu jumped out of his seat in surprised. "You just teleported!" He replied back, surprised to see her.
Rumi automatically brushed of her confusion and locked eyes Jinu with growing determination. "Celine is suspicious and wants me to use you so we could figure out what happened to Gwi-ma!" She gasped, catching her breath.
Jinu blinked. "So what's the plan, captain?" Giving her a wink knowing how hot and bothered that would make her.
He listened as Rumi went over with her plan on what's going to happen in the next few weeks for them, and he agreed about taking their time so everything won't look suspicious on their end. He was glad they were on the same boat.
"So, has Gwi-ma been giving you any trouble?" Rumi asked as she took a seat on the couch next to Jinu. Her fingers made his way towards his hair, twirling it around her finger.
Jinu eyes flickered with excitement. "He's truly gone! I can't hear his voice anymore!" He tilted his head like a cute puppy which Rumi couldn’t help but smile.
"It's like I've gotten the best sleep of my life!" Jinu said softly. "But demons don't really need much sleep." He paused.
"That’s good to hear." Rumi laughed, but she looked at him curiously. "What are you going to tell the rest of the Saja Boys?" She whispered softly.
Jinu shook his head. "I don't know. I'm still trying to figure out all the details myself."
"I completely understand," Rumi muttered under her breath. "But just know, I'm here to help you out, you don't have to do this alone.
A flutter of warmth filled Jinu’s chest. He had always known she would. “And I’ll be here, anytime you need me.” Jinu whispered, her hand resting against his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart beneath her palm.
Jinu’s hand slid up to cup her chin, turning Rumi’s face up toward his. His eyes were intense, the brown depths flickering with something unreadable but unmistakably tender. For all the ways he struggled to show affection with words, his actions spoke louder. Jinu leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss to Rumi’s forehead, lingering there for a moment before pulling back.
But Rumi closed the small distance between them, gently placing her lips against his.
It was just a simple press of their lips together, until Jinu wove a hand into her hair and pressed harder. Rumi gasped, her mouth opening slightly just as his tongue darted out, seeking entry. She opened her mouth wider.
She wrapped her arms around his neck, pressing her body closer to his. The intensity between them grew as they soon became a tangle of tongue, teeth, lips, and hands.
Jinu gently pushed her back until she was lying beneath him. She wrapped a leg around his waist, tugging him closer. He grunted in response and started grinding against her. Rumi responded in turn with her hands moving down his back until they reached the top of his jeans.
She felt one of his hands reach between them, blindly looking for the button of her own jeans to undo. He had nearly unbuttoned them when they heard a loud, metallic creak. They froze for a moment, looking at each other with shock and a small amount of fear.
Jinu pushed himself off of her as she scrambled to get up. They quickly righted themselves, smoothing out clothing and hair and sitting as far apart from each other as the tiny couch would allow.
Just as soon as Rumi straightened in her seat, she saw a teasing, wild-haired Abby wander in the apartment door. Abby waved a greeting.
Jinu groaned in annoyance knowing Abby was going to be curious about everything from here on out.
Chapter 8: An Eventful Recap
Summary:
Jinu and Rumi inform Abby what happened with Gwi-ma and what their next step is. Abby is completely on board and will do anything to help.
Chapter Text
In the next few minutes, Jinu told Abby everything that happened. He told him about the bathhouse situation where he discovered Rumi was half demon, the secret meetings were their longing to be free together from difficult situations that was tearing them down, and how they accidentally captured Gwi-ma in a trapped box and making the Honmoon strong and sealed. They just needed to figure out what's the next step forward from here on out.
"So let me get this straight..." Abby started, his expression serious. "You guys are dating, she's half demon, and you permanently captured Gwi-ma with a magical box from an antique shop on your first date." Abby said gathering the information like he was trying to solve a puzzle. He stared down at the box where Gwi-ma is trapped in with curiosity.
"That’s the whole story," Jinu replied, looking at Rumi who was sitting close to him, her fingers lightly brushed against his arm for comfort. She gave him a reassuring smile confirming everything.
"My mentor Celine suspects the Saja Boys captured Gwi-ma and might do something dangerous," Rumi continued. "She wants me to gather information from you guys."
Abby raised a brow. "What about the other hunters?" He asked.
Rumi blinked, "What about them?"
"Do they know about this situation?" Abby asked.
Rumi shook her head firmly. "Not everything. They just know Gwi-ma was defeated and the Honmoon is sealed."
"I see," Abby said. He didn't show any signs of judging.
"Thank you," Abby said unexpectedly.
Jinu looked at Abby confused. "Why are you thanking us for?"
Abby sighed with relief. "For getting rid of Gwi-ma for good. Following his orders with no way out is hard enough. Now that he's gone, everything feels lighter."
Jinu looked down at his hands. "I'm glad you feel that way," he said quietly. He looked over at Rumi and smiled softly. "I'm so glad we went on that date." He laughed.
Rumi nodded wordlessly in agreement. "I'm so grateful that we stopped by that antique shop." She laughed. Maybe everything happens for a reason.
Abby watched the couple as they talked about how grateful they were for going on a date. They're so weird together. So before they could start planning their wedding, he had on serious thing running through his mind that desperately needed to be answered.
"Are we going to tell the rest of the Saja Boys?" Abby asked. Rumi looked at Jinu for a moment. Abby already knows all the details by know so it wouldn't hurt to inform the rest of the Saja Boys about the situation.
"Of course," Jinu answered. "They deserve to know the truth no matter what."
Rumi frowned slightly. It seemed very easy for Jinu to talk to his own band mates without making up any excuses. But she was still hiding from her own patterns that Celine was sure that when the Honmoon was sealed, her problems will be gone forever. It looks like her patterns are permanent and she has to continue to hide from Zoey and Mira.
"Thank you for understanding." Jinu said, taking Rumi out of her thoughts. She watched as Jinu left her side to walk Abby out the door.
"No problem, I trust you know what you're doing." Abby replied. He glanced at Rumi then back at Jinu with a mischievous smile.
"I'll send you a lifetime supply of condoms. Abby whispered loudly for Rumi to hear as well.
Rumi blushed. Then hid her face out of embarrassment.
"Bye Abby," Jinu groaned. He immediately pushed Abby out the door and closed it.
"Expect your delivery tomorrow!" Abby announced one the other side of the door. "You'll Thank me later!" His voice distance as he continued towards the apartment hallway.
Rumi and Jinu were finally alone again.
"I'm glad he took it well." Jinu said, making his way towards Rumi on the couch.
She smiled at him. "Yeah, it makes the whole thing seem easy."
Jinu reached for Rumi’s hand and pulled her up. His hands rest around her waist, like they just belong there. "As much as I'd like for you to stay, Mira and Zoey are going to notice that you're missing." He said. Rumi moves to bring his hand in between both her own and brings it back up to her face, unravelling his fingers so they can rest on her cheek, she holds his hand there as she moves her lips to place a feather kiss on his palm, “I know that.”, she says afterwards.
Jinu speaks, his voice deep, “Rumi, they're going to notice", she cuts his monologue, “But I need my goodbye kiss", Rumi smiles as she looks into his eyes, "I need some for good luck."
Rumi’s hands release his, and Jinu moves it slowly to place it in a way that he has a soft hold of the back of her head, his eyes move to her lips, and then to her eyes, which he can see mirror his previous move, he holds her gaze as he wets his lips and sees her close her eyes as he bends his head to press with extreme care his lips against hers for the fourth time. Jinu’s eyes close as soon as their lips touch, he kisses her slowly, releasing the pressure of his lips over hers, ever so often as to get her used to the sensation, he had known so before, but if there been any room for doubts, the gasp that leaves her mouth when he draws her lower lip between his dissipates them all, Rumi had not been kissed since Abby interrupted them, and thus despite how hard it is he pulls back, he releases her lips, but he does not let her go, he moves his hands so that they can hold her own.
“Oh!” Exclaims Rumi.
“Do you like your goodbye kiss?" Jinu smiles, and just like that they’re back to teasing one another.
“That was satisfactory”, Rumi exclaims, she feels dazed, nervous and jittery, all at the same time, had she wished to mask her emotions she would of have failed, her smile betrays her. "I Love you, Jinu."
Jinu looked away from Rumi attempting to hide his smile but failed. "I love you too, Rumi."
Rumi leaned forward to kiss his cheek before stepping back. She gave him a shy smile before disappearing and found herself alone in her bedroom.
She found Derpy and Sussie at the foot of her bed peacefully sleeping and immediately started petting the tiger causing him to purr.
"I don't think you care," Rumi whispered. "But I told Jinu that I love him."
The Tiger purred loudly as if he promised to take that secret to the grave.
Chapter 9: Boba and Business Meetings
Summary:
Rumi convinces Mira and Zoey that she managed to connect to Jinu to meet up so she could gather information about Gwi-ma's mysterious disappearance. Rumi and Jinu meet up for a secret Boba date to discuss further plans.
Chapter Text
Rumi couldn’t help but giggle at Derpy’s soft purring as she brushed his glowing blue fur. Sussie squawked as she was trying to bite his tail but he would move it to the other side before she could do anything. It was like a secret routine that they all enjoyed.
Rumi’s phone buzzed. She immediately put down the hairbrush and gave Derpy a quick pat telling him she needed to do something real quick. Derpy looked at her, his eyes dilated and full of curiosity. Rumi knew he wasn't looking at her, he was looking at the bobble head of their manager Bobby that fans made for them.
"Knock yourself out," Rumi said, reaching for the bobble head on her nightstand. She set it carefully on the carpet floor and Derpy pounced.
Rumi laughed at the sight before turning on her phone. She was already blushing because she knew that someone she loved texted her, and that someone she loved was Jinu.
Jinu: Are you free to meet up?
Rumi rolled her eyes.
Rumi: That depends
Jinu: Depends on what?😐
Rumi laughed. She was going to trick him.
Rumi: Are you asking me out on a second date?😍
Jinu: Yes, yes I am
Rumi: Good
Rumi: I would love to meet up with you
Jinu: That’s perfect
Jinu: Why don't you pick our location and I'll meet you there
Rumi: Sure, I'll send you the location
Jinu: Perfect ♥️
Jinu: I love you
Rumi: I love you too
Rumi: Bye!
Rumi shut off her phone. Her face flushed pink and her heart was pounding out of excitement. She spent a few minutes pacing around the room doing her makeup, picking out an outfit, and fixing her hair to look presentable. Once she was ready, she turned back to look at Derpy and Sussie.
"I'm going on a date with Jinu," Rumi said. "Don’t do anything destructive while I'm gone." She closed her bedroom door behind her and sighed. Now all she needed to do was get passed Zoey and Mira.
Rumi walked down the hall finding Mira on the couch watching a K-drama and Zoey was in the kitchen warming up some Ramen.
Rumi cleared her throat causing Mira and Zoey to look at her. "I convinced Jinu to meet in person," Rumi announced. Mira and Zoey exchanged a quick look.
"Would you like us to spy?" Zoey asked.
"No I'm going on my own." Rumi announced. "If he knows you two are spying he might think he's being ambushed."
"But if he tries anything...." Mira stared at her with a fierce expression. But Rumi interrupted.
"Don’t worry, I have pepper spray," Rumi gestured to her hand.
"Better to be safe than sorry." Zoey shrugged.
"Thanks for trusting me." Rumi smiled at her friends.
"No problem." Mira muttered as she went back to watch her K-drama.
"What are friends for?" Zoey spun around realizing that her Ramen was burning.
Rumi shook her head, making her way out the door.
Jinu stared up at the menu in front of him trying to figure out what drink he wants. In his 400 years of living, he never seen those type of color drinks in his life. But it still seemed very nice to try out new things In the modern life.
"Have you figured out what you wanted?" Rumi asked. She automatically stood on her tiptoes to kiss him on the cheek. He blushed.
"It's all so complicated," he said.
Rumi smiled slightly. "How about I surprise you? And you can find a secluded place to hang out." Jinu looked at Rumi with uncertainty.
"But as a gentleman, it's my duty to pay. "
"Honey, don't worry about it. You can pay for our next date."
Jinu didn’t argue with her, he put his full trust in Rumi.
She found him nearby hanging out next to a tree full of cherry blossom sitting on a picnic blanket. They were completely away from the busy streets and surrounded by trees and grassy hills.
"You're treat has arrived!" Rumi gestured to his boba drink. She bought him some Honeydew Boba for him to try.
Jinu thanked her. He grabbed the drink and took a sip. Rumi watched with complete interest. In her opinion, Jinu had the kumbucha girl reaction.
"It's not bad." He replied.
"I'm glad you like it." Rumi laughed. She took a sip of her passion fruit drink before urging Jinu to try her own. He accepted as he was open to trying new things.
Ten minutes later, they were completely finished with their Boba drinks and Rumi challenged him to a tree climbing race to see who could get up the tree branch the fastest.
They only made it up to two branches.
"So...." Rumi hesitated. "....Have you told the Saja Boys everything?"
"Yeah, I did," Jinu replied.
"How did they take it?" Rumi asked.
Jinu stared at Rumi with a reassuring smile.
"Well, they were surprised to hear about Gwi-ma." Jinu chuckled. "They were glad to not being under his control anymore. It turns out, we were all tired of being stuck in the same cycle with no way out."
Rumi nodded. "That’s good to hear."
"It was," Jinu admitted, but rolled his eyes. " But then Abby announced that I was seeing you Romantically and all hell broke lose."
Rumi blushed. "Do I want to know what happened?" She asked.
Jinu smirked. "Let’s just say I threatened them that there will be consequences for them if any of them hurt you."
"What kind of consequences?" Rumi laughed nervously. Her face flushed pink. Something about Jinu being protective of her safety made her stomach fluttered.
"Let’s just say that they'll be going in the box with Gwi-ma."
The both laughed.
They sat in comfortable silence savoring the company between them. Like it was them against the universe.
"I got you something," Jinu announced, breaking the comfortable silence. Rumi watched as he reached into his left pocket, pulling out a black square box. Rumi’s breath caught in complete surprise.
"Jinu, It's a little soon for a proposal. Don't you think?" Rumi laughed nervously as she stared a the box he had in his head."
Jinu looked annoyed. "Romance told me that modern people take 5 years to get married. But this is a promise ring." Jinu opened up the box revealing a ring that looked suspiciously like an engagement ring but the diamonds were shaped exactly like her patterns. The colors were also a replica of her own patterns.
Rumi felt her eyes tearing up at his romantic gesture. She felt like she couldn't breathe but Jinu was the only thing keeping her oxygen from running out.
"I wanted to surprise you with something that will remind you that you are the most beautiful, fearless, and admirable person I know. And this ring is a reminder of how your patterns make you unique and what an honor it is for me to be the lucky on to have fallen for an amazing woman like you."
"Oh Jinu...." Rumi whispered softly, She was teary-eyed. ..."Thanks for reminding me that my patterns are apart of who I am. No matter how much they make me feel like I'm a problem, I'm glad I have someone like you to show me that being my true self isn't as bad."
"And I'll keep reminding you every day until you'll get sick of me."
Rumi laughed and leaned forward. "I'll never get tired of you."
Jinu grinned—just a little shy, just a little daring—and leaned in to kiss her.
Their lips met softly at first, as they always did, but the gentle goodbye kiss turned into two, then three. Before she knew it, Rumi was giggling against his mouth because Jinu’s hand had tangled awkwardly in her hair and he muttered an "Oops—sorry" when he brushed against her ponytail.
"You’re hopeless," she murmured, pulling him closer anyway.
"Hopelessly into you," he murmured back, eyes sparkling.
And then she kissed him again.
Jinu watched as Rumi looked at the ring with admiration.
"I love you Rumi," Jinu said softly planting a kiss on her cheek.
Rumi smiled. "I love you too," she said, stealing one last, quick kiss before letting him go.
Being in love is the greatest feeling she ever felt. But she still had a mission to focus on.
"I'm going to mention about the box to Celine," Rumi whispered.
Jinu looked at her. He nodded. "I'll send you some pictures. Maybe she'll know what to do." He planted a kiss on her right hand, the promise ring shining bright.
"That'll make everything easier," Rumi said. Her head resting on his broad shoulders.
He planted a quick kiss on her forehead before making his way down to tree and landing on the ground below. Rumi followed behind, but Jinu caught her bridal style as she jumped off the tree branch. He put her down safely on the ground. They were face to face, getting lost into each other's eyes but Rumi made eye contact with the tree trunk.
"That looks like a heart," Rumi said nervously. Jinu raised an eyebrow and stared in the direction of the tree Rumi pointed at. She was right, it did look like a heart. He turned to look at Rumi who took out a black marker from her purse.
He watched out of curiosity when she wrote something on it. It was her name. Rumi turned to look at Jinu, handing him the marker.
"What do I do?" Jinu asked.
"Write your name with mine," Rumi whispered. Giving him an encouraging nod.
He did what he was told and took a step back when he was done.
Rumi
+
Jinu
With a heart surrounding the words.
Jinu didn’t know he signed up for his own K-drama moments.
"Let’s get you home," he whispered, planting a kiss on top of her head.
Rumi couldn’t help but smile as they walked back hand in hand. Her patterns glowing underneath her sweater just like the promise ring that made her feel untouchable. Jinu made her feel untouchable.
Chapter 10: The Next Step
Summary:
Celine visits Rumi and convinces her to dig in deeper with the Idol Awards happening two weeks away, Celine is worried that the Saja Boys could strike. Rumi and Jinu prove their relationship is something worth fighting for from here on out.
Chapter Text
They were supposed to be watching a movie. Something romantic and old, playing on low volume in the background, long forgotten as Jinu’s hand slipped behind her neck and pulled her closer. Rumi had been sitting beside him on the large, stable couch, her legs curled under her, fingers tangled in his as they talked in soft voices. But something shifted when their eyes met—something electric, magnetic.
It started with a kiss. Slow, like always at first, the way Jinu always touched her like she was precious, irreplaceable. But tonight, there was a spark lit beneath the surface—something that ignited fast.
Rumi leaned into him, fingers fisting the front of his shirt as his mouth moved against hers, deeper now, hungrier. Her breath hitched when his hand slid to her waist, pulling her flush against him, their bodies molded tight together. Her pulse thundered in her ears as his other hand traced her jaw, tilting her face just right so he could kiss her like he’d been dying to every day —urgent, aching, reverent.
Rumi made a soft sound, and Jinu answered it with a low groan that rumbled from his chest. His kisses grew rougher, needier, like he couldn’t get close enough, couldn’t breathe unless he was touching her. His fingers slipped into her hair, tangling through the tangled lavender strands as her hands wandered up beneath his hoodie, palms flat against the hard lines of his back. Rumi could feel his heart racing under her fingertips, and it only made her want him more.
Rumi’s lips parted with a gasp as Jinu kissed along her jaw, down to her neck, trailing fire with every brush of his lips and tongue. Her head tipped back, eyes fluttering shut, and she clung to him like she might fall apart if she didn’t.
“God, Jinu …” she whispered, voice wrecked with heat and need.
Jinu pulled back just enough to look at her, his pupils blown wide, hair slightly tousled, lips red from kissing her. “You’re so beautiful,” he said softly, reverently, like it was a prayer.
She surged up to kiss him again, their mouths crashing together, all teeth and tongue and desperate, breathless hunger. Her thighs bracketed his hips before she even realized she’d climbed into his lap, and he gripped her waist like he couldn’t bear to let go.
The heat between them built fast, searing. Every touch left them burning. Every breath shared between frantic kisses stoked the fire until they were both trembling with it. His hoodie was halfway off his shoulder, her shirt rucked up around her ribs. Her lips were kiss-swollen, cheeks flushed deep pink, while Jinu looked like he was barely holding himself back.
It was messy and wild and perfect—hands tugging at clothes, fingers gripping hair, mouths moving like they were starved for each other. They kissed until their lungs ached and their lips tingled, until their bodies were so close there was no space left, just warmth and want and raw, aching love.
Jinu pressed his forehead to hers, both of them panting, clinging. “We should stop,” he whispered, even though neither of them moved an inch.
Rumi nodded faintly. “Yeah… we should.”
But her fingers curled in the fabric of his shirt like she didn’t want to let go. And Jinu leaned in for one more kiss—slow this time, lingering, like he was memorizing the taste of her.
It was the most heated makeout session of their lives. And neither of them would forget the way it left them breathless, hearts pounding in perfect rhythm.
The elevator door slowly opened.
Rumi and Jinu quickly stumbled off each other. Rumi didn’t have time to fix herself up but Jinu, with a snap of his power did it for her before disappearing into her bedroom where she knew he'll be in.
"Celine," Rumi said with a surprise in her voice. "What brings you here?" She greeted the woman nervously.
Celine walked over to Rumi, her expression serious as always. "I would like to discuss the picture of the ancient box that you sent me the other day." She replied.
"What about it?" Rumi asked, awkwardly fidgeting with her promise ring on her right ring finger.
"Since the Idol Awards are happening in three weeks, we need to take the box off their hands before the Saja Boys use it for evil."
Celine stared deeply into Rumi’s soft eyes. "Once we take it from them, win the Idol Awards, and take out the Saja Boys. The whole world will be demon free."
Rumi raised a brow. "You want me to get the box?"
"It's the only way," the elder woman replied.
"I'll see what we can do," Rumi said softly.
Celine looked around the apartment out of curiosity. "Where are Zoey and Mira?" She asked with curiosity.
"They went to some sort of glow in the dark party that promised glow sticks and a chocolate fountain that also glows," Rumi rolled her eyes and laughed at how ridiculously invested the girls were to desperately go to a party. Which prompted her to invite Jinu over for some alone time.
"Okay, just make sure Mira and Zoey are in with the plan," Celine said, her voice demanding and fierce.
"I won't let you down," Rumi Replied.
"I know you won't."
Rumi watched as Celine stepped back inside the elevator and disappeared when the automatic door shut leaving Rumi all by herself in the living room.
She let out a huge sigh of relief before making her way down the hallway heading towards her bedroom where Jinu was waiting for her.
Rumi shut her bedroom door behind her and locked it, her eyes immediately glance towards Jinu who was lying on her bed.
"How did everything go?" He asked. Worry was visible on his face.
Rumi smiled slightly as she walked over to his direction. He immediately pulled her in his lap and wrapped her arms around her protectively.
Rumi rested her chin against her shoulder and let out a breath of relief. Being in Jinu’s arms made her feel better.
"She wants me to take hold of the box," Rumi whispered in his ear. She felt Jinu’s large hand rub her back. She continued. "She wants to get rid of you and the Saja Boys."
Jinu pulled away from Rumi just to look at her but was still holding onto her tightly.
Tears fill up Rumi’s eyes. "I don't want to lose you," Rumi said softly. Her fingers touching his face to remember every part of Jinu’s features.
Jinu looked at her with a soft expression that made Rumi’s heart fluttered everytime he does so.
"You won't lose me, Rumi," Jinu replied with confidence.
"What makes you say?" Rumi asked.
"Because we accidentally defeated Gwi-ma using a ridiculous magic box from an antique shop." He smirked but his voice was deadpan.
"I need to be with you, Jinu," Rumi whispered.
Jinu wasted no time. He grabbed her hand, pulled her into his lap, and kissed her like he meant it—which he did.
Their lips met in a slow, molten press. Familiar and fiery, yet somehow brand new every time. His hands ran up her back, hers tangled in his hair, and the world outside their little corner of Seoul vanished.
“I need you too,” he murmured against her lips.
They strip each other of their clothes and Rumi never expected it to feel so joyous, so easy and fun. They giggle into each other’s mouths while Jinu peels off his sneakers. He teases her for trying to talk all the way through it, because of course he does. He smirks at her noise of surprise when he lifts her legs around his waist, carrying her to lay down atop the blanket in on her bed. Now they are bare before each other, without a stitch of clothing or reason to pretend not to want this. And Rumi still nervosly bursts with joy, is still at risk of burning up with want, but nerves overcome her for a moment. For all she’s heard from Mira or Zoey, from all she’s read in romance books, none have left her truly prepared for this.
Jinu’s senses her hesitation and pulls away, just a moment; Rumi musters her courage and holds his eye. “I don’t know what to do,” she says, and the way Jinu looks at her takes her back to that night in at the park.“I really don't know what I should do.” She tries playing it off with a grin, a light chuckle, but Jinu’s face displays only sincerity and understanding.
“I could show you,” he says, quietly, steadily. “If you want me to.” Sensitivity, and comfort from Jinu lingering.
And even though Rumi walked into her bedroom that evening unintentionally already decided that she wanted Jinu to be hers, the demon who’s been driving her mad for weeks, the one she's been secretly in a relationship with. Rumi has been told over and over that demons are dangerous. Jinu wasn't. Her boyfriend, perhaps least likely of all demons , is the only soul on the planet who understands her, who loves her for who she really was.
This feeling was very thrilling.
Rumi nods once, grinning as Jinu’s finger brushes her lip. “I want you to,” she says. Simple as that. He smiles back at her, and she traces the shape of it along his bottom lip. His tongue darts out to meet her fingers and all hesitation flies out the door. Rumi cups his face to kiss him hungrily, and their urgency sends her onto her back with him poised above her. She relishes the weight of his body on hers, his skin brushing everywhere. She could do this all night, every night, and never tire of it. She could do this every day, too, come to think of it, and Rumi – not for the first time – loves the feeling of being exposed.
Jinu grips the side of her neck and face to kiss her once slowly, heavily, and Rumi melts at the slide of his tongue against hers and the press of his ring against her throat. She’s so wet. She’s never been this wet. It aches how much she needs to be touched.
As if he can read her mind, Jinu’s hand moves to trail up the side of her thigh and then her core, and her mouth falls open in a gasp. He traces a faint circle around the edge of her clit once before touching her in earnest, applying pressure right where she needs it and passing his other fingers through her folds. Rumi has to laugh at how overwhelming it feels. Jinu grins with her, lips still pressed near her mouth.
“Is that good?” he whispers, and Rumi tries to scoff, but it comes out more as a whimper. Her head falls back and her eyes shut, but Jinu stays attuned to her. “Tell me, Rumi. Tell me what you want.”
“Yes,” she breathes out, pathetically wanton. “You can – ”
“What?” he asks against her cheek.
Rumi removes her hand from his face and reaches between them, taking his in her grasp. Together they press harder against her clit and rub wide circles, and the moans that come out are a sound Rumi never knew herself capable of. Jinu kisses her through it. Rumi has tried similar things before, dragged a curious hand between her legs on sleepless nights, but to compare those sensations with what Jinu is doing to her feels laughable. This is lightning and thunderstorms. This was something incredibly exciting.
He keeps the heel of his palm pressed against where she aches and stretches his fingers towards her opening, and with a muted shock Rumi to realizes that that is exactly what she wants. She nods silently and curls her hand to guide him on his path, and they’re not even kissing at this point, just holding their faces as close as possible as he slowly pushes his middle finger inside of her.
Rumi gasps at the sensation, and it’s not uncomfortable exactly, just new, and Jinu lets her adjust with his eyes locked on hers. Then he starts moving, pumping that finger in and out while massaging some sensitive spot on her inner walls, and Rumi feels it everywhere.
“Oh, Jinu” she exhales around a laugh, and she feels Jinu’s grin before she sees it.
“What, you don’t like it? Do you want me to stop?”
“Don’t you dare,” she warns him, clutching his hand to her sopping cunt. Jinu presses against her harder, pumps his fingers a bit faster, and her hips roll up to meet him. “More,” she gasps, and his eyebrows raise, but on the next push in, a second finger joins. Rumi cries out, head falling back against the pillow, and Jinu uses the opportunity to press his tongue to her throat.
She rides his hand and grasps at his hair, pulling the curls, and he moans into the crook of her neck. “That’s it,” he encourages. “So fucking good. Rumi, you’re so wet, you feel incredible. I’ve waited so long to touch you like this. I want to make you come so – ”
“Shut up,” Rumi says, meaning the opposite. “Jinu, you’re so fucking annoying – ”
“Pretty rude for the man who’s getting you off,” Jinu says, picking his head up to meet her gaze. She tries to hate his mischievous smirk, the cloud of lust mixing with humor in his dark eyes, but a familiar urge, unrelated to what’s happening between her legs, perks up in the back corner of her brain.
Because despite the fact that she’s moments away from orgasming into oblivion, she’s still Rumi, and he’s still Jinu, and there’s nothing quite so fun as beating him at his own game.
Rumi’s hand shifts to wrap around the shaft of his cock, pumping once. Jinu’s whole body stops and shudders. That wipes the smirk right off his face.
“Rude, you said?” she asks with faux-innocence dripping through her voice. She pumps again, circling his head with her thumb. Jinu looks on the brink of destruction, and Rumi luxuriates in the power of it. “Then should I stop?”
But Jinu doesn’t rise to her teasing this time, just surges forward and catches her in a messy, open-mouth kiss. He resumes his movements between her legs with a newfound vigor, curling his fingers while rubbing her clit with his thumb. She moans into the kiss and pumps his cock, faster now to match his pace. Their tongues slide together and their hands knock between their bodies. Rumi cannot believe how good it feels, his hands on and in her and his cock between her fingers. If she’d known she would’ve jumped him weeks ago.
Jinu angles his hand against that spot that lights her up and her eyes fly open, loosening her grip on his hair and his cock.
“Jinu,” she stutters. “Right there, right there –”
“I’ve got you,” he says, pressing kisses against her jaw and her cheek. Rumi feels something building, a change in pressure like an oncoming storm, her body tensed and ready. Jinu keeps the momentum and both of her hands fly to his shoulders, digging into the muscles there. She rolls her hips against his hand and her moans turn higher, whinier in pitch.
“I think I –” she starts, but can’t finish.
“Yes,” he sighs, and lets her repeat the word back to him, over and over and over. “Come for me, Rumi,” he says, just once, and she breaks like a crack of thunder.
Her orgasm hits her and she cries out with a stuttering gasp, her cunt pulsing around his fingers. Jinu presses kisses against her jaw, her cheek, her neck, anywhere he can reach, his fingers still moving to coax her through it. It comes in head-spinning waves, dragging on for several breathless moments, and when it finally starts to subside she feels weightless, wrung out to dry, burnt to a pile of ash. Jinu looks at her like he’s never seen her before, roving over her face and neck and heaving tits, like she’s something out of a myth. Giggles pour unfiltered past her lips and his curl into a wide smile. She really fell in love with him, a voice echoes in the recesses of Rumi’s mind. She’s really glad he’s her boyfriend, it says.
She kisses him once, hard, and reaches to take his cock back into her hand. He groans.
“Do you want to go inside me now?” she asks him, and he chokes.
He nods frantically. “Rumi. I would very much like to, if you’re –” he stammers, and she cuts him off with another kiss, guiding him to her entrance.
“Let me rephrase that,” she says. “I need you inside me now.” His hand grasps at her neck and his lips slant over hers as he pushes his cock in slowly. Rumi gasps at the pressure but he doesn’t let up, filling her and angling her head up to receive his kiss. Once he’s in to the hilt, he holds the position and retreats his face just enough to brush his thumb over her lip.
“Satisfied?” he asks, seeming to have gained some composure, if not for the rapid breaths that hit her lips. She takes a fistful of his hair and pulls him down to her neck, and he immediately presses hot, biting kisses to her pulse.
“I’d imagined there’d be a little more movement,” Rumi says, not bothering to disguise the teasing tone, and she practically feels his eyes roll in annoyance. But then his hips start to shift, pulling his cock out all the way out and rolling back in with long, punishingly slow strokes, and she’s powerless to stop a moan falling from her lips.
“So you’ve imagined this, is what I’m hearing,” says Jinu, lifting up from her neck and holding her head in place. They stare into each other’s eyes. Rumi thinks she’d know his gaze anywhere, would feel the ghost of it when her back is turned, would find it across a crowded room like a lighthouse. She uses both hands to scratch her nails along his scalp and watches his mouth drop open, pupils wide and dark.
“Hundreds of times this past few weeks,” she whispers, heart pumping with the thrill and the fear of being so honest, and she savors seeing the effect it has on him. Instantly he grunts and his hips pick up speed, just a touch, and the added force of it rocks Rumi to her core. She moans in time with his thrusts and he catches them with his mouth. The stretch of his cock is the most delicious fullness she’s ever experienced, and she chases after it with little lifts of her hips. She thinks maybe he was made for her. His eyes still haven’t left hers.
“Is it always like this?” Rumi gasps out.
“Rumi no,” Jinu says, immediately, forcefully. “Nothing has ever been like this.”
She clutches his hair at the root and tugs, letting their mouths crash together with muffled moans. She basks in the sensation of his weight on her, the rocking of his hips between her thighs, his chest pressing against her tits.
“Tell me what you want,” Jinu demands sharply, struggling to get the words out. Rumi lacks an answer at first, distracted by the perfect rhythm of his cock inside of her and the way his hands gently tangle in her hair, holding her close to him.
“I – I want…”
“Yes.” Jinu’s nose brushes his against hers, and he angles his hips to find a spot that sends something sparking, zinging through her whole body.
“I want to do this again later.”
Jinu’s eyes widen and then crinkle as he breathes out a surprised laugh, and she finds it impossible to resist joining him. His thrusts falter slightly while his shoulders shake with giggles, and maybe Rumi should feel embarrassed, but she’s too happy to even care. He pulls out and pushes back in more slowly, hitting that perfect spot with a careful patience, teeth bared in a grin at the choked gasp she lets out.
“I’m literally still inside you and you’re thinking about next time?”
“I want to be prepared,” she says.
“I know you do,” he starts to say, before pressing his smile onto hers and murmuring against her lips. “I know you do. Rumi, you’re a dream.” He comes back for more kisses as his hips speed up, Rumi moaning her satisfaction into his open mouth. His lips trace a path down her chin and around her jaw before settling in the spot right behind her ear. Rumi grinds her hips harder into his. Jinu lifts his head to meet her eye and runs his thumb along her cheek. “In the present moment, however. Tell me what you want, Rumi. Because I need to know before I lose control.”
Rumi can see that it’s true – his eyes are cloudy with desire and beads of sweat line his forehead. Without thinking she reaches up to run her tongue along one, pressing a kiss against his hairline.
“Deeper,” she tells him. Jinu nods once and moves his hands from her hair to her thighs, pushing them open a little wider. He grants her wishes and applies just a bit more pressure with his thrusts, and the exquisite stretch of him inside her makes Rumi cry out and close her eyes. It’s too good. It’s too much. It’s not enough. She threads her legs around his hips and uses her thighs to pull him closer; Jinu groans in appreciation and squeezes the hand on her leg to hold her in place. She opens her eyes to the sight of him watching her face with an unabashed look of hunger and adoration.
He drops a quick kiss to her forehead. “Good girl.”
And Rumi, the main vocalist of Huntrix, just comes immediately.
Her last orgasm she’d seen approaching from miles away, built up slowly from his first touch, like standing in a wide open field to watch a storm roll in. But this one crashes over her without warning, catching her by surprise, forcing high-pitched moans out of Rumi’s throat before she even knows what’s happening. Jinu just pounds her through it, unrelenting in his pace, repeating a litany of swears while she pulses around his cock. He picks up speed and drills in hard once, twice, three times more before a broken moan falls from his lips and he stutters, coming through the end of her orgasm. His head falls against her and they pant together. Rumi traces the muscles of his back up to his neck, struggling to catch her breath. He pulls out slowly, both of them wincing at the strange sensation of cool air hitting the dampness at their centers, and he stretches his body across hers, collapsing his weight on her gently.
Before she can stop it, Rumi’s laughter bubbles up through her chest and past her mouth. Her body hums like a freshly-tuned lute, pinpricks of pleasure and joy coursing over skin. So much makes sense now, about the world. Jinu looks at her like she’s crazy but joins in her giggles, shaking his head slightly.
“What could you possibly find so funny?” he asks, sounding rather dazed.
“Just thinking,” She cuts herself off with a firm kiss to his lips. “About how I suddenly remember Mira and Zoey would kill me if they found out about us.”
She falls into more laughter as Jinu’s head and eyes roll back in exasperation. She can’t tell which part is more fun – getting him scared or winding him up. Thankfully she’ll have plenty of future opportunities to explore both options. Endless possibilities there, really.
He fixes her with a discerning gaze and traces his fingertips around the edge of her face. “So will you be comfortable enough to tell Mira and Zoey about us?” Jinu asks, playing at light humor, but the glint in his eye and his quiet tone suggest something different. “Even about Gwi-ma?” Rumi finds his hand and pulls it from her face, linking their fingers together. Presses a kiss to his knuckles.
“Lots of arguing might happen,” she murmurs. “There’s lots to be talked about. About Gwi-ma. About our relationship. My patterns, even.” She brings their joined hands to her chest, lets them rest against her heart, still pounding from their exertions and the emotions it brought up. “Might be nice having you there with me.” Jinu eyes soften, just slightly, and she sees something like a smile grace the edges of his lips. “Plus, I quite liked how your cock felt inside of me.”
Jinu breaks into a full smile. “I did notice that,” he says, leaning in for a kiss. His tongue seeks hers and retreats, does it again for good measure. “Seemed as if there was a lot you liked but I have a lot more activities that I would like to explore with you.” Despite the soreness between her legs and the exhaustion of her muscles, Rumi feels something flutter within her at his words.
She just grins and brings his mouth back to hers. “You’re so needy,” she mutters between kisses.
“Not needy if I don't love you” he replies.
“I love you too.” She pushes at his shoulders to lift him off her and he goes easily, flopping onto his back and stretching his arms above his head. Rumi stands on shaky legs and takes one moment to admire the lean muscles of his torso, the dark hair between his legs, the knowing gleam in his eyes as he watches her watch him. She searches the room for her clothes and they take turns dabbing at their shared wetness, but before Rumi can attempt to redress Jinu grabs her wrist and directs her back down towards him. He finds a blanket and tucks her into his side, pulling it over the two of them and wrapping an arm around her shoulders.
This is new, Rumi remarks in her head, because for all of their light touches and soft kisses, they’ve never actually just held each other before. She realizes she’s waited for this as much as the sex. She turns her face towards his chest and breathes him in. She's grateful that Mira and Zoey are also going to that glow in the dark after party for another hour.
Chapter 11: Exposed
Summary:
Jinu visits Rumi at her dance rehearsal break to give her the box but their romantic relationship gets exposed when Zoey discovers their secret. Rumi and Jinu tell Zoey everything.
Chapter Text
Rumi slowly slide down onto the dance studio floor out of exhaustion. Her was completely sore from learning choreography from Golden and having another round of sex with Jinu the other day. Zoey was laying across from her while Mira was trying to fix the boom box that they needed for.
"Zoey your boom box is trash," Mira groaned in annoyance. "Why do you even have this thing if it doesn't work.
"Hey, the guy said it was on sale for free!"
"Why don't you girls take a break," Mira announced as she grabbed her purse. "I'm heading back to the apartment to get a better music speaker." She gave Zoey a glare before walking out of the room and Zoey stuck her tongue out when she turned her back away from her.
It was just Zoey and Rumi all by themselves.
Rumi’s phone buzzed.
Jinu: Hey love, I'm sending you the box Celine was requesting
Rumi smiled.
Rumi: Thanks, I'll send you my location.
Jinu: Am I getting a reward later?
Rumi blushed.
Rumi: Yes!!!
Rumi: By getting me pregnant
She didn't know why she said that.
Rumi: I have to go now love.
Rumi sighed as she turned off her phone not waiting for Jinu to respond. Her mind was drifting off to Jinu and the night they shared together. Giving herself to Jinu was the best wreckless decision that she had ever made. The way he kissed her, the way he touches her, the way he makes sure to mark every single part of her body drives a certain part of her insane.
Before she could get lost in her mind, Zoey let out a huge gasp of excitement causing Rumi to hit her head against the glass mirror behind her.
"Ow, what got you so excited?" Rumi asked as she massaged the back of her head.
"The boba store around the corner has three new flavors and they look so good." Zoey replied as she quickly got up from the floor to grab her purse by the door.
"Can you please get me the usual!" Rumi called to Zoey who was halfway out the door.
"You know I will!" Zoey replied.
Now, Rumi was all alone.
"3, 2, 1," Rumi whispered.
And just like she predicted Jinu teleported in the room.
Jinu looked at her with loving eyes. She loved the way he looked at her.
"You look so beautiful," he whispered.
Rumi rolled her eyes playfully. "I'm just wearing a sweatshirt and some sweatpants, nothing too sexy for you to admire."
They met halfway, Jinu laughed as he wrapped his arms around her middle pulling her in for a kiss.
She tried to step back but was only pulled back as Jinu started to shower her neck with kisses. She yelped when his hand slid down to her ass, grabbing a handful of her plump cheeks.
“Jinu! We are at rehearsal! And you have to get going! Zoey and Mira will be back soon…”
“You know what you're body does to me when you wear anything—“
Rumi sighed.
She had no choice.
“Lock the door.”
Jinu’s fingers curl around the lock on the studio door, and with a twist of them the door is locking securely. He turns to face Rumi, standing there in her sweatpants and too-big sweatshirt, and feels a rush of his adrenaline dwindling away at the touch of her hands on his upper arms.
“Here?” he murmurs, their lips not quite touching. Rumi nods, taking a quick, deep breath as her hands stroke over his strong shoulders.
“Here,” she confirms, and Jinu is quick to lift her up, placing her on the rickety table in the corner of the studio, her thighs splayed so his body could fit between them. Rumi’s fingers wrapped around the back of his neck, tugging him in closer until their mouths met in a deep, lingering kiss. Jinu’s fingers twine in Rumi’s hair, wrapping the silky strands around his fists and tugging gently.
Rumi gave a soft moan, lips parting from Jinu’s and giving him an opportunity to trail his kisses over her jaw and down her throat. Her sweatshirt is gone moments later, leaving her in just a sports bra, and Jinu has that up and over her head not long after, showcasing the tiny little lace bralette she wore.
Jinu’s hands cupped Rumi’s breasts, squeezing them firmly as her head tipped backwards, mouth parted in pleasure.
“I wanna feel you too,” she pushed him away with a whisper, tugging at his jacket until it was discarded. Then she rucked up his t-shirt and pulled it up and over his head until his chest was bare before her; Rumi stroked her fingers down Jinu’s abdominal muscles, flirting with the waistband of his jeans.
The feeling of his skin beneath hers soothes some ache burning deep in the center of her chest. She loved sneaking around with Jinu, loved the thrill of it- but this part, the homecoming of Jinu’s skin under her hands, his mouth on hers- that’s what she loved the most. Of knowing at the end of the day that Jinu already knew her, knew every part of her, inside and out.
Rumi’s fingers began to work Jinu’s belt out of the loops when he gently pushes them away, stopping her.
“Wanna have you on my tongue first,” he tells her breathlessly, and Rumi’s breath hitches, a moan creeping out of her throat.
They get her out of her sweatpants together, her panties with them, and Jinu sinks to the floor, spreading her thighs with his palms before hooking them over his shoulders, tugging Rumi’s center closer. He inhales deeply as Rumi’s hand sinks into his hair, and then Jinu’s tongue is stroking through the center of her, gathering her ample wetness on his tongue.
“My god,” Rumi pants, hips rocking down into Jinu’s mouth as his thumbs keep her cunt spread open for his tongue, flicking over her clit and eliciting and sharp gasp from Rumi.
“Taste so good, Rumi,” Jinu pants when he parts from her, mouth wet with her slickness. She whines, clit throbbing, and tugs at his ear until he lifts from his perch on his knees.
“Don’t wanna come without you,” she whimpers softly, and Jinu, powerless in the wake of Rumi’s need, quickly gets his jeans down around his ankles.
“I don’t have a condom,” he murmurs, and Rumi shakes her head.
“It’s fine. I want to feel you,” she whispers back, tugging him to her, and they share a groan as their skin connected.
Rumi’s thighs are soft and pliable, and Jinu gets them around his waist as he guides the head of his cock to the entrance of her cunt; he keeps his thrusts light, opening her up to his cock as her thighs splay further. Her hands grip his shoulders, digging her nails into the muscle there, and their mouths meet in a furious kiss.
Sunken fully inside her, Jinu gasps for breath, groaning at the clutch of her cunt around his cock. His forehead presses to Rumi’s, hands flat on the table, and Rumi clutches at him tighter, rolling her hips into each thrust as he drove into her.
“Feel so good,” she babbles, pressing an open-mouthed kiss to his neck. “Feel so good in me, Jinu.”
Jinu groans, fucking into her harder, a hand moving to grip Rumi’s thigh and shift it higher on his hip.
“So wet around me, baby,” he grunts, and kisses her chin messily. “Wanna feel you come, Rumi.”
Her hand sank down between them, knuckles brushing her clit and his cock as it moved in and out of her, all slickness and heat. Rumi cried out, Jinu muffling it with his mouth as he swallowed her sounds with a kiss and fucks his hips into her harder as she began to clench around him.
Rumi comes with a full-body spasm, bearing down hard on Jinu’s cock as she whimpered his name into his mouth, and he barely lasts three more thrusts before he’s spilling inside her in hot bursts as he groaned her name into the curve of her neck. Rumi’s arms wrapped around his upper back, holding him against her tightly, and Jinu buried his face in her hair as they caught their breath together.
Their skin is slightly tacky when they pull apart, and they’re both loath to put their clothing back on- Jinu cleans Rumi up with her panties, mindful of how sensitive her cunt was, and stuffs the damp fabric into his jacket pocket. He zips Rumi’s sweatshirt back up, then wraps her in a tight hug, tucking her head up beneath his chin.
“I have to go. I trust the box will be safe in your hands,” he murmurs, but he doesn’t let her go. He doesn’t want to let her go, he wants to stay by her side, and Rumi’s hands hold tight to the back of his jacket.
“One more minute,” she whispers, cheek pressed to Jinu’s chest, and his arms instinctively tighten around her.
“Okay,” he says softly, and kisses the top of Rumi’s head. “One more minute.”
Jinu smiled gently, wrapping his arm around Rumi’s waist before turning his head to look at her, as she looked back, before slowly leaning up, her other hand finding his chest, and kissing him gently. Right as he kissed her back, their moment was interrupted by the second door to the door to the studio slamming open and Zoey shouting: “WHAT THE HECK!”
Jinu and Rumi jumped back, completely taken by surprise by Zoey’s sudden appearance. Jinu just chuckled awkwardly. “I… can explain.”
“No…” Rumi said. “You can’t, I have to explain?”
Zoey looked at Rumi with uncertainty.
Rumi quickly texted Mira give her an excuse about Zoey wanting props for their dance which she replied annoying through the screen.
"Alright, I'm going to start from the very beginning," Rumi said softly as she was sitting close on the floor with Jinu while Zoey was sitting across from them.
Rumi lifted her sweatshirt not really caring if Jinu’s markings on her were visible for Zoey to notice. All she was showing were her patterns.
"Rumi..." Zoey gasped looking at Rumi’s exposed arms. ..."You have patterns."
"I do," Rumi whispered softly, her hand squeezing Jinu’s for support.
"I've had them since I was born," Rumi said. "My father was a demon." Rumi watched as Zoey’s eyes widened with shock and realization.
"Why didn't you tell us?" Zoey asked looking down at her hands.
"Celine told me not to saying anything. She just told me to cover myself until we get rid of Gwi-ma and the demon's. Until we strengthen the Honmoon."
Zoey nodded in silence. "Okay, what about Jinu?" She asked suspiciously. "How is he involved?"
Rumi sighed and gave her a reassuring smile.
"Do you remember our first fight with the Saja Boys at the bathhouse?" Rumi asked.
Zoey nodded and Rumi continued her story.
"I went after Jinu and apart of my sleeve ripped off and he noticed my patterns but covered for me before You or Mira could notice."
Zoey took a sip of her Boba before reaching over to hand Rumi her own drink. Zoey Blinked at Jinu who was admiring Rumi as she took a sip.
"Want to try some?" Rumi stared at Jinu and smiled. He took a sip of her drink. They didn't even notice Zoey have a stroke in front of them.
Zoey quickly recovered and cleared her throat causing the couple to leave their love bubble.
"Okay, what happened next?"
"He sent his spirit animals to convince me to meet up with him."
"Uh-huh, so what did you do?" Zoey asked with curiosity.
Jinu looked at Rumi with confusion as if to say if she was being serious but Rumi waved him off.
"I went out to meet him and try to kill him," Rumi muttered.
"She failed by the way," Jinu announced.
"Anyways," Rumi continued as her glare faltered. "He wanted to confirm if I had patterns and that if I was under Gwi-ma's control."
"And are you?" Zoey asked with wide eyes.
"No," Rumi muttered under her breath.
Zoey put a hand on her heart. "What a relief,"
"We kept meeting and at it had gotten to the point where we eventually fell in love."
"How sweet!"
Rumi felt Jinu’s eyes on her.
"We went on our first date a few weeks ago which was the day you did my nails."
Zoey gasped. "So I unintentionally helped you get ready for your first date?" Rumi saw the excitement in Zoey eyes.
Rumi laughed. "Yes, yes you did."
"Woo-hoo"
"He took me to the aquarium,"
Zoey nodded. "That’s different."
"And afterwards we went to an antique shop and bought a jewelry box that looked exactly like my patterns."
The box appeared in Jinu’s hand and Zoey looked admired the design.
"We went to the park and things took a turn." Rumi hesitated for a moment.
"Gwi-ma showed up," Jinu muttered quietly under his breath.
"Did he do anything?" Zoey’s voice cracked.
"He tried to kill us."
"Rumi!"
"But then he tripped and is now trapped in this magical box."
Zoey looked at the box in Jinu’s hands. "He's... trapped...in....there?"
Rumi nodded.
"It gets funnier because we were there to witness the whole thing." Jinu chuckled softly.
"It should be something we could tell our future kids." Rumi blushed, ignoring Zoey’s gaze.
"So that's why the Honmoon is sealed?" Zoey asked.
"Yup,"
"It all happened so fast."
"Oh my god," Zoey jumped up!
"What’s wrong?"
"Takedown!"
Rumi raised a brow. "What about it?"
Zoey sat back down and stared deeply into Rumi’s eyes. "The song was making you question yourself." She whispered.
Rumi nodded, her hands curled into her pockets of her sweatshirt. "I felt awful considering not all demon are bad. They're manipulated when they're at their lowest in life."
"I'm really sorry for both of you."
"It's okay, you didn't know." Rumi replied.
"And now Celine wants the box and do whatever."
Rumi looked at Zoey with worry. "I'm sorry I lied to you about everything, I understand if you don't forgive me right away."
Zoey shook her head. "It's a lot to digest." Her eyes landed on Jinu.
"And if Jinu makes you happy then why would I stop you from being happy." Zoey shrugged.
"Thanks Zoey," Rumi smiled. "I've never felt happy until Jinu came in...my life." Rumi blushed, she was about to say until Jinu came inside her.
Rumi noticed Zoey looked down and was worried. "Zoey, what's the matter?" Zoey reached for Rumi’s hands for support.
"I missed your first dating milestones." Zoey teared up.
Jinu and Rumi turned to each other with confusion.
"Zoey our relationship is completely new so you didn't miss anything." Rumi playfully rolled her eyes.
Did you have your first kiss?"
"Yes"
Did you have costume Jewelry made for each other?"
Jinu held up Rumi’s hand showing off her promise ring.
"Yes,"
Zoey huffed in annoyance while Rumi laughed.
"Would you at least warn me when you guys have sex?"
"Zoey!" Rumi blushed out of embarrassment.
"Of course we will!" Jinu gave her a wink. His hands were in his jacket pocket touching Rumi’s panties that he stole from her. "From here on out!"
"Yay!" Zoey lunged forward to hug the couple.
"Are you going to tell Mira?" Zoey asked.
"I don't know how to. She might kill me and Jinu!" Rumi muttered.
"You don't have to worry about that. You're secrets safe with me." Zoey whispered.
Rumi smiled slightly. She felt a really relived telling Zoey everything even though Mira is unaware of her situation.
Jinu coughed.
"I should get going." Jinu sat up and Rumi followed as well.
Jinu reached for Rumi’s hands to safely place the box in her hold.
"I trust you to make sure it doesn't get into the wrong hands." He trailed off.
"I won't let you down." Rumi laughed. "Captain!"
“Good ” he says softly, and kisses the top of Rumi’s head. “I'll text you later.”
"I love you," Rumi whispered.
I love you too," Jinu replied before completely disappearing in a cloud of smoke.
He was gone leaving only Rumi and Zoey alone together.
"Sooooo," Zoey muttered checking her nails. "Is Mystery single? Asking for a friend."
Rumi shrugged. "Probably, but I only have eyes for Jinu, no one else !"
Zoey clapped her hands excitedly. "Good because I called dibs!"
Rumi laughed but then her expression went serious. "Good because if you look at Jinu, talk to him, or touch him, I'm sending you in the box with Gwi-ma."
Zoey raised a brow. "Your zodiac sign was pretty accurate when it said you are clingy and possessive when it came to love."
"I'm not joking!"
"And I understand."
Rumi, I have a question."
"What is it Zoey?"
"Is Jinu a really good kisser?"
"Zoey!" Rumi blushed.
"Just tell me!" Zoey laughed.
Rumi smirked.
"He's very skilled with his tongue and other areas."
"Do you think he'll be good in bed?" Zoey asked with excitement.
Rumi shrugged. "I'll tell you when we get to that point in our relationship."
Before Zoey can ask embarrassing questions about her relationship, Mira emerged from the door holding the requested props and boom box in both hands. She carefully placed them on the table.
And on the back of Rumi’s mind she would never tell Zoey that Jinu is really good in bed. But at least she could tell Zoey to cover for her whenever she wants to go visit Jinu.

Chapter Text
Rumi zipped up the Last of her luggage that was basically her clothes for two days. She was visiting Celine for two days because it was Time to get rid of the box for good. She didn't understand how she was going to do that but she trusts Celine’s knowledge. She would do anything to get rid of Gwi-ma and set him free where he wouldn't hurt anyone else. Rumi looked at Zoey with was sitting on her bed watching with complete interest.
"Shouldn't you be packing as well?" Rumi asked.
Zoey’s face scrunched up. "We can't."
"Why can't you?" Rumi replied.
"A brand new season of 'So you think you can Cook' has officially been released and Mira and I have been dying to watch for a while!" Zoey jumped up and down with excitement.
Rumi just rolled her eyes, Mira and Zoey were obsessed with this reality show that was a cooking show but at the same time a talent show which she completely didn't understand and gave up.
"So I'm going by myself?" Rumi muttered under her breath but just enough for Zoey to hear her.
Zoey just gave her a sympathetic smile. "I guess I can go with you if you're uncomfortable going alone."
Rumi just shook her head. She really didn't mind going alone but she had a special person in her mind that she wanted. So she was glad to invite Jinu.
"It's okay Zoey, I already invited Jinu to come with me." Rumi blushed as she looked away from Zoey’s gaze.
"Cute, but wouldn't Celine sense Jinu?" Zoey asked with concern. As much as she loved how happy Jinu makes Rumi, she knew everything would go completely downhill for them if the couple got exposed. Rumi would be completely devastated if she had to choose between Jinu and Celine’s orders.
"I can just make an excuse that Gwi-ma's presence is very strong but is completely helpless." Rumi replied.
"That’s sounds believable," Zoey laughed giving Rumi a thumbs up for her full support.
Rumi really appreciated Zoey’s support of her big secret that she's been jumping through hoops for her so nothing could go wrong. She offered to give Zoey a weekly allowance but she refused to take it.
"Don’t forget the most important thing," Zoey said as she lifted the box on her nightstand and gently handed it to Rumi.
"Oh no!" Rumi groaned.
"What’s wrong now?" Zoey asked with a worried expression on her face.
"I forgot to make room for the box," Rumi muttered under her breath. "Now I have to repack everything."
Zoey couldn't help but laugh at her dilemma.
It was usually a two hour drive visiting Celine’s cottage out in the mountains. But Rumi and Jinu couldn’t keep their hands off each other resulting in them doing it in the backseat of their Rental car. When they got to their destination Jinu disappeared into the guest room that Rumi was staying in. When Rumi walked into her home, Celine was in the kitchen chopping some vegetables for their dinner that she was making.
"What took you long to get here?" Celine asked, her eyes narrowed with concentration as she focused on the carrots on the cutting board.
"My GPS has been acting up lately but luckily I know where you live by heart," Rumi replied as she closed the door behind her.
After a small greeting, Rumi made her way upstairs into the guest bedroom were Jinu sat patiently waiting for her on the bed.
"Are you ready for this?" Jinu asked as he walked over to Rumi to grab her bag placing it on her bed.
Rumi slowly nodded. "Of course I am," She replied.
She watched as Jinu took the box out of the bag gently placed it on the bed.
"Mystery did some research on the box," Jinu said softly. "There’s two outcomes that will come out of this if we destroy it."
Rumi slowly took a seat on the bed near Jinu. She laid her head on Jinu’s shoulder.
"What did he discover?" Rumi whispered softly in Jinu’s ear.
"Once we destroy the box, all the demon's who've done bad deeds from working under Gwi-ma will cease to exist forever." Jinu furrowed his brow. He avoided looking at Rumi because he knew she had the look of determination of not wanting to lose him. He didn't want to lose her as well but he certainly loved how stubborn she would get when it came to him. "The other possibility is that Gwi-ma being gone would cause the other demon's to become a part of the Honmoon but others would be lingering around for a while."
"As long as you're here with me I don't care about the consequences," Rumi whispered softly.
Jinu finally looked at Rumi and smiled at her. "You're something to me that's worth all the trouble." Jinu replied leaning in to give Rumi a quick peck on the lips.
Rumi crossed her arms and pouted. "That’s all I'm getting?" She asked. She immediately got up to arrange her bag that was sitting on the bottom of the bed.
"You're so needy," he replied
“And you’re helpless when I look at you like this,” she replied, tilting her face up to kiss him again—this time deeper, slower.
Jinu melted instantly, cupping her cheek with one hand and resting the other on her waist as the kiss deepened, unhurried and meaningful. They broke apart only to rest their foreheads together, both smiling, breath mingling.
“Yeah,” he whispered. “Hopeless.”
Rumi came down for dinner with Celine ready to discuss the clear instructions her mentor left for her. Celine revealed that she left a trail of blue ribbon for her to follow to get to her destination.
After dinner Celine bid her Good luck and Rumi, with the magic box in her hands wandered through the forest following the blue ribbons like Celine had instructed her to follow. Once Celine’s cottage was out of sight, Jinu walked along side her holding the box like a true gentleman he was.
They walked together in comfortable silence until Rumi broke it.
"Jinu," Rumi whispered softly.
"What’s wrong?" He asked.
"Whatever happens here on out Just know that meeting you was the best and worst thing that ever happened to me." Rumi laughed nervously. If she was losing him tonight she was going to make sure he knew how much she loved him no matter what.
Jinu pulled her into a hug and Rumi relaxed in his embrace. A hug was just what she needed right now. He softly kissed the top of her head. She looked up at him and smiled softly. "And meeting you, getting to know you, and getting to love every part of you is the greatest thing that ever happened to me. I know well get through this together so I don't want you to worry about me."
"But I'll always worry about you," Rumi whispered enough for Jinu to hear her. "I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want everyone to know how much I love you without sneaking around and making excuses."
Jinu gave her a reassuring smile which gave Rumi butterflies. "I feel the same way as well."
"You do?" Rumi stared at him with a grin.
Jinu laughed. "I do, So let's go in there and prove the universe that we belong together." He held out his hand and led her down the dirt path.
Once they got there they were surrounded by trees but just ahead was the place where they were setting the box free.
Jinu looked at Rumi with determination and full of love.
"Are you ready my love?" Jinu asked. Handing over Gwi-ma's imprisonment box
Rumi took a deep breath and nodded her head firmly, she stepped forward place the box gently on the dirt floor before running back to Jinu before anything could happen.
"You know the song that Celine and I practiced humming before we left Right?" Rumi asked.
Jinu nodded. "Yeah, why?"
"I don't think I could do this on my own, Zoey and Mira were supposed to be here and I think it's way more effective with the three of us together." Rumi groaned. Maybe she should've forced Mira and Zoey to go with her if she knew this was going to happen.
Jinu grabbed her hand holding it tightly. "I'll do anything to help you out," he said softly.
Rumi smiled at him. "Let’s do this,"
Rumi and Jinu started humming in complete harmony, their hands locked together. They looked at each other with a soft expression, their pattern glowing and syncing together under the moonlight along with the box that was shaking.
A sudden bright light shooting in the night sky. They continued to hum in harmony together while the box lifted into the air and disintegrated into a million light causing Rumi and Jinu to stumble onto the ground full of mud and leaves.
After catching their breath and being fully aware of their surroundings, the couple sat up after a while and grinned.
"Rumi," Jinu whispered softly. "We did it!"
"He's gone forever." She replied laughing happily. She would kiss him right now if they weren't covered in mud.
Jinu pushed himself off the ground and reached for Rumi after to pull her off the ground as well.
"I really need to take a shower," Rumi muttered under her breath as she looked down at her hoodie covered in mud.
"Let’s go back now and clean ourselves up." Jinu chuckled
The couple walked back towards Celine’s cottage hand in hand, grateful that they didn't lose each other. When she arrived, Jinu teleported in the guest bedroom while he waited for Celine and Rumi’s conversation. Celine told her to go take a shower while she cleaned up Rumi’s mess.
Eventually Rumi’s in the shower, soothed by the warm water hitting her face, when the door to the bathroom opens
“You’re showering without me,” he pouts
"Jinu, Celine’s downstairs! What if she catches us?" Rumi stammered nervously.
Jinu rolled his eyes. "She’s going to be way more suspicious that you took two separate showers."
Rumi blinked.
“Come and join me then,” Rumi beckoned, and he wastes no time in stripping off his muddy clothes and stepping into the shower stall with her.
The shower stall isn’t very big but they showered together in Jinu’s apartment before so you know exactly how to fit
He slots himself behind her, sighing as the warm water hits his sore muscles
“Ah, that feels good,” Jinu says, rolling his shoulders under the spray
Rumi turned around to face him, and for as long as she'll live she'll never get over how beautiful he looks with water cascading down his body
“Can I help?” Rumi asked, and he nods, so she massaged his shoulders
Jinu closes his eyes and groans in pleasure as her hands work out the knots in his muscles, moving down his body
The sounds he’s making, and the way his firm muscles feel under her fingertips is turning her on, and by the looks of it, it’s having the same effect on him.
Jinu’s eyes shoot open when Rumi wrapped one hand around his erection, rubbing the pad of her thumb over the tip
He bites his lip, eyes dark as he looks at Rumi, before looking down to watch how she pumps him.
“Feels good,” he says, but Rumi doesn’t want him to come like this so she grabbed his face and kissed him deeply.
Jinu moans into her mouth, pressing her wet bodies together, his hands sliding down Rumi’s back to cup her ass.
Rumi’s feeling hot, the bathroom steaming up, panting as Jinu’s licks a trail down her neck.
“I know you’re wet, but are you wet for me, baby,” Jinu growls in Rumi’s ear, one hand coming down to part her legs open.
Rumi’s breath catches when his fingers enter her, and he pumps her to orgasm as the shower spray hits her back.
Jinu turns Rumi as her breathing regulates, the shower now hitting his back, sucks on her bottom lip before he lifts one of her legs.
“Are you ready for me,” Jinu asks, eyes hooded, and Rumi nodded.
When his cock enters her, Rumi let out a cry, the sensation of the water running over her, the warmth of both their bodies adding to the pleasure of it all.
Jinu holds Rumi tight as he fucks her, pressing Rumi against the cold tile of the shower.
“Fuck, baby, you’re so hot, you feel so good,” his voice is low in her ear, showering Rumi with praises as she takes everything he gives her.
Rumi gripe onto his shoulders, her body heating up, the knot in her stomach forming.
“Are you close, baby,” Jinu asks, squeezing her ass cheeks and then sucking on her neck.
“Ah, oh fuck, yes!” Rumi screamed, “Harder, baby, I need you”
Jinu loses control then, pressing her body against his so hard Rumi can barely breathe, but the feeling of his cock hitting her sweet spot is everything.
“You like it like this, don’t you,” Jinu grits his teeth, almost breathless, his hips ramming into her at a relentless pace.
“Yes, god, yes!” Rumi cried out as she came, her entire body shaking from the intensity of her orgasm.
Jinu comes soon after with a loud growl, pumping into Rumi, her pussy clenching around his cock.
They stay locked together for a moment as the water washes over their bodies, before he releases Rumi’s leg and pulls out of her.
Jinu places soft kisses down Rumi’s neck and along her shoulder, while she rubbed his back as the warm spray of the shower starts to cool.
“Let’s continue this in bed,” Jinu says, picking her up, and she wrap her legs around him as he carried Rumi out of the shower.

Chapter Text
Rumi checked herself out for what felt like the 20th time. She and the girls had been preparing for this moment for two and a half months at this point and now the Idol Awards are here she was completely nervous. Rumi took a deep breath to calm her nerves, her outfit was very put together, her makeup looked great as always, and her voice was as powerful as it could ever been.
"Everything will be fine," Rumi muttered quietly to herself. And she was confident about it. She truly believed for once that everything was going her way. She made sure of it.
Her thoughts were interrupted by a light knock on her dressing room door. She immediately got up to open it assuming that Zoey or Mira would drop by to see her. But she was in for a complete surprise when she found Jinu on the other side of the door holding a bouquet of her favorite flower. She couldn't hide her smile even if she tried.
"Jinu, What are you doing here," Rumi laughed nervously. She didn't care if her face was red like a tomato she wanted him to know that she was really happy to see him. She pulled him inside her dressing room and quickly closed the door behind them before anyone could see them.
"We're on in two minutes," He replied, handing her the flowers. "I wanted to see you."
"I'm really glad you stopped by," Rumi admitted. "Seeing you here makes me less nervous than I already am."
"Once this night is over everything might change." Jinu whispered softly for her to hear.
"I know, " Rumi replied. Her heart pounded in her chest when he stepped closer. "But I don't regret everything that we fought for just to be together."
Jinu laughed. "I hope Huntrix and the Saja Boys could understand that even though neither can stand each other."
Before Rumi can respond, Bobby opened the door talking about being hydrated before going on stage. But then he noticed Jinu was in the room while Rumi was holding a bouquet of flowers. It wasn’t hard for him to put the pieces together.
"Well, I should get going now." Jinu muttered quietly as he leaned forward to kiss Rumi on her forehead.
Bobby’s jaw fell to the floor.
"Break a leg out there." Rumi replied as Jinu started heading towards the door.
Once he was out of sight, Rumi set her bouquet of flowers in an empty vase. She sat down on her chair and let out a breath that she was holding.
"How long has this been going on?" Bobby asked cautiously. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable to the point she might run away.
"Almost a month," Rumi replied. "It just happened."
"I completely understand." Bobby responded.
"It's like the more I got to know him, the harder I fallen for him." Rumi laughed nervously. "I've never thought being in love along with someone else loving me would make me feel amazing about myself."
Bobby nodded. "Rumi you're a grown adult, you can make your own decisions."
Rumi smiled. "Making my own decision is a lot of work."
"It looks like you already did." Bobby replied.
"And I'm really happy with my own decision." Rumi laughed as Bobby attempted to hug her but the chair was in the way.
They embraced in a hug that Rumi melted into. She felt completely happy to know that Bobby was always there when she needed advice.
Their hug was interrupted by Mira knocking on the door.
" Rumi were on in five minutes!" Mira announced on the other side. "Let’s get rid of the rodents and win this thing!" Mira growled.
Rumi couldn’t help but laugh at Mira’s competitiveness but at the same time she was going to kill her.
Bobby and Rumi walked out of the room together meeting Zoey and Mira who were dressed up and ready to go on stage.
"You girls will knock...it....right....out... of.... the.... park?" Bobby raised a brow from confusion. "Am I say that phrase right?"
"I don't know any baseball terms." Zoey shrugged.
"Thanks for the encouragement," Mira added.
The girls parted ways with Bobby as he wanted to get a head start to watch their performance. They could hear the audience go wild after an amazing performance the Saja Boys had done just now.
"Alright ladies, let's go out there and make history." Rumi smiled slightly.
"Let’s do something." Zoey giggled. "My encouragement is lacking!"
"Let's get rid of the demon's for good!" Mira replied excitedly pumping her hand in the air. She completely missed Zoey and Rumi’s nervous expression.
And so, Huntrix gripped their microphones and walked onto the stage ready to do a show stopping performance as the crowd screamed their name with excitement and anticipation.
Meanwhile The Saja Boys were backstage in the lounge are full of snacks.
Jinu was standing up, his eyes focused on the television watching Huntrix perform Golden. He admired how confident Rumi looked. He admired how well the girls performed together.
His thoughts were interrupted when Romance came up to him and gave him a pat on the back.
"I think you two are completely insane for how things have gone down in the past month." Romance admitted. "But you two did the impossible and set us free from Gwi-ma's imprisonment."
Baby, who was playing a game on his tablet, looked up. "Yeah, but now we have to survive the hunter's disappointment when they find out we're stuck here forever thanks to you and your girlfriend."
Jinu cleared his throat. "I don't regret anything but the truth will come out sooner or later." His eye went back to watching the screen.
"He's definitely fallen so hard for her." Romance quietly whispered in Abby's ear.
Jinu completely ignored them.
"We did it girls!" Rumi laughed as Mira and Zoey tackled her into a hug.
"I'm so happy I could jump off a cliff into water!" Zoey sang sweetly.
"You wouldn't have the guts to jump off a cliff into water." Mira muttered.
The girls ended up in the lounge area where The Saja Boys were waiting.
Jinu and Rumi looked at each other from across the room.
"You did amazing." Rumi smiled as she read his lips.
"Thank you baby." Rumi replied.
"And why are you losers still here?" Mira growled. Her eyes narrowed.
Zoey and Rumi glanced at each other knowing this wasn't going to end well.
"Congrats on a outstanding performance!" Abby clapped his hands ignoring her question.
Mira immediately summoned her weapon and pointed to towards Abby.
"The Honmoon is stable, Gwi-ma is gone, so why haven't you vanished off the face of the earth yet?" Mira growled.
"What’s wrong hotshot?" Romance jumped in on the teasing. "Are we to hot for you to handle?"
Zoey laughed.
Mira glared at her causing Zoey to grab Rumi’s arm as if she could protect her.
"This girl is clueless." Baby whispered into Mystery's ear but just enough for Mira to hear him.
Mystery nodded in agreement that Zoey swore that she saw a glimpse of his eyelashes.
"What makes me so clueless?" Mira threatened.
"He's going to out us." Rumi whispered softly in Zoey’s ear and easy enough for Jinu to read her lips.
Zoey just squeezed her arm protectively.
"Why don't you ask our star cross lovers who are the reason we're here right now." Baby said.
Mira turned to Zoey, her eyebrows knitted together.
"Zoey, we literally told you that Mystery is a lost cause."
Zoey gasped dramatically.
"Mira, I'm the reason they're still here!" Rumi announced.
Mira’s eyes widened with shock. "Are you covering for Zoey?"
"No I'm not!" Rumi replied. She couldn't look Mira in the eyes.
"I don't get it?" Mira scoffed. "What was the reason for keeping the Saja Boys around?"
Rumi’s shoulders tensed. "Jinu and I fell in love." Rumi swallowed. She still wasn't looking at Mira but was now lost in Jinu’s eyes.
Mira looked at the two of them and gasped in shock. "Rumi you didn't."
"But I did," Rumi muttered quietly. "I really love him."
"And I can confirm that I really love her." Jinu replied.
Mira watched as her best friend and demon enemy gravitate towards each other to embrace in a hug.
She looked around at the other demon's in the room. "How are you guys not rioting about them?"
"We know everything." The boys said in unison.
"I walked in on them making out." Abby shrugged innocently.
"And I walked in on them kissing." Zoey replied nervously.
Mira turned to Zoey. "And why didn't you tell me?"
"It's not my story to tell." She replied. "Rumi can make her own decisions."
"And her being in love with one is the worst decision she can ever make!" Mira snapped.
"Mira I know you're mad at me but I don't regret anything." Rumi stared at Mira with a sympathetic expression.
"He has you brainwashed Rumi!" Mira shot Jinu a sharp look in his direction. "He was trying to trick you."
"Mira," Zoey whispered. "I can confirm they're in love."
Abby spoke up as well. "I can see it too."
"And it's really obvious." Baby replied.
Mira looked at Rumi with uncertainty. "How long?"
"A whole month." She murmured.
Mira’s jaw dropped. She wanted to yell at her. "I-I can't be around you right now." Her face completely disturbed by the bombshell that just dropped on her.
Rumi nodded wordlessly. "I understand that you want space."
Mira rolled her eyes. "Yeah, I'll text you when I'm ready to talk to you."
"That sounds like a great idea." Rumi frowned slightly. The only thing that was keeping her from bawling her eyes out was Jinu’s presence. And that she didn't want to cry in front of the Saja Boys.
And just like that, Mira left the room."
The room was quiet for a moment.
"That was a productive meeting." Romance announced with satisfaction in his voice.
Zoey walked up to Rumi with concern.
"Where are you going to stay for a while?" Zoey asked.
Rumi shrugged. "I'll be staying with Jinu in his apartment until Mira’s ready to talk with me."
Zoey nodded and gave Rumi a hug. "I support you."
Rumi smiled slightly as Zoey pulled away from the hug.
She went over to give Jinu a hug which surprised him but he enjoyed it. "Take care of her."
"I will," Jinu replied.
Rumi and Zoey said their quick goodbyes before Zoey ran out the door to catch up to Mira.
Jinu turned to the rest of the Saja Boys.
"I'm going to take her home now." Jinu furrowed his brow.
"We understand," Abby replied.
"Take care of your princess." Baby groaned in annoyance as he lost his game.
Jinu rolled his eyes before quickly taking Rumi’s hand and leading her out of the room. She quickly said her goodbyes to Bobby before turning the corner and disappearing and teleporting into Jinu’s bedroom.
Jinu looked at Rumi with a soft expression. "I'm sorry things went down like that."
Rumi shook her head and smiled at him. "It was bound to happen sooner or later." She replied.
He pulled her into a comforting hug. "No other way around it."
Rumi giggled as her fingers slowly unbuttoned Jinu’s shirt.
"Just know that everything will work out in the end." He trailed off as Rumi took off her jacket.
"I really appreciate your support." Rumi replied. She slowly removed her crop top. Her pink nipples hard from the coolness of the air.
Jinu raised an eyebrow and grinned. "I'm getting mixed signals here."
Rumi raised an eyebrow, she took off her skirt and was completely naked. She walked over to his king size bed and flopped on her back subtlety spreading her legs for him to get a full view.
"Make love to me all over again." Rumi blushed nervously.
Jinu slowly crawled on top of her and their eyes met. He searched for any signs of hesitation but there wasn't any. It was enough for him to know that she was okay.
And even If she wasn't, Jinu spent the whole night worshipping every inch of her body until the moans of his name got louder and scratches were visible on his back. In her own mind she was celebrating everything that she's been through with Jinu but at the same time anticipating Mira’s call in the future. So much was on her mind and the only way she could forget was through Jinu’s touch.
Chapter 14: Coming Clean
Summary:
Rumi and Jinu visit Celine and tell her everything.
Chapter Text
"So what would you like to tell me?"
Rumi watched nervously from the kitchen table as Celine poured her a cup of tea. Earlier when Jinu woke her up with breakfast in bed, she had wondered if she should tell Celine the truth. Keeping this secret already blew up in her face so she might as well get the whole thing out of her mind as soon as she can.
Jinu agreed that she needed to tell her everything. So after they ate breakfast and got dressed, they teleported to her front door while Jinu stayed close by. So now Rumi was about to tell her mentor everything that happened.
Rumi took a deep breath.
"I'm the reason Gwi-ma was trapped in a magical box."
Celine blinked
"What do you mean?" Celine asked narrowing her eyes.
Rumi laughed nervously.
"I thought in order to defeat the Saja Boys I should go after their leader."
"Jinu?" Celine asked.
Rumi nodded.
"He discovered that I'm half demon and he asked to meet up and so I did."
Celine’s eyes widened.
"Rumi!"
"Let me get this out!"
Rumi tried her best to ignore Celine’s glare but she powered through it.
"We talked about everything, about how much we wanted to get rid of Gwi-ma for good, about our patterns..."
"You told a demon about your personal life?" Celine asked.
Rumi nodded.
"We kept secretly meeting each other until Mira got suspicious so we communicated through a phone.
Celine kept quiet.
"I fell in love with Jinu." Rumi muttered quietly.
Celine’s eyes widened with shock. She wanted to speak but didn't.
"We went out on a date to the aquarium, then we went to this antique shop which is where we bought the box, and we went to the park after that. We talked for a while when Gwi-ma appeared because he was upset Jinu was failing his plan so he tried to attack us.
"Excuse me?" Celine yelped
"Oddly enough he tripped and magically was trapped in the box causing the Honmoon to turn golden." Rumi laughed just thinking about how Gwi-ma tripped. That will never not be a funny inside joke between her and Jinu.
"And that's everything you need to know." Rumi swallowed.
Celine sat quietly in her seat trying to process the new information they young adult spilled to her. She didn't expect Rumi to be the cause of this entire situation.
"Is that why you were able to get thing done so quickly?" Celine asked.
Rumi nodded.
"Jinu and I were in on this together so it was easy."
"I see." Celine replied.
"Do you have any questions, comments, concerns about all of this?" Rumi asked nervously.
"How long have you been with him?" She questioned.
"Almost a month." Rumi replied.
"Are the Saja Boys around?"
"Yes," Rumi muttered.
"Why would you do this?" Celine asked as she took a sip of her tea.
Rumi sighed. "Risking everything to be with Jinu is worth it to me. He understood me in a way no one else could. No matter how many people I hurt in the process, Being with Jinu without anything trying to keep us apart will never make me regret my decision."
Celine nodded in silence.
"I don't want you to end up like your mother," Celine said softly.
Rumi reached over to hold Celine’s hand.
"I understand but I know what I want," Rumi whispered.
"Are you in anyway pregnant?" Celine asked cautiously.
Rumi laughed nervously. "No! He said not until we're married." Her face turned red.
"I'm glad he never touched you." Celine replied.
Rumi nodded. She didn't want Celine to know that her and Jinu were intimate otherwise she'll kill him.
"Do the girls know about him?"
"Yes," Rumi responded. "But Mira is upset and Zoey has been supportive."
"When can I meet him?" Celine asked.
"That depends, what if you hurt him?" Rumi stared down at her mentor.
Celine rolled her eyes. "Obviously, you've grown attached to him so I can't kill him even if I want to."
"Promised me that you won't hurt him?" Rumi stared cautiously. She was already texting Jinu to come inside.
"I promise," Celine said softly.
It took five minutes and then Jinu teleported right next to Rumi. Rumi got up from her chair to hug him.
"I missed you," Rumi whispered.
Jinu raised a brow. "I was waiting outside."
Rumi laughed. "I want you to meet someone."
The couple pulled away from the hug and looked over a Celine.
"Celine this is my boyfriend Jinu." Jinu nodded nervously as Celine glared at him.
"I know you don't trust me because I'm a demon and were on different sides and you have every right to not like me. But I really love Rumi and I don't regret anything that happened in the past few weeks." Jinu said confidently with a serious expression in his eyes.
Celine had a blank expression on her face which made Rumi nervous.
"I don't like this one bit," Celine said sharply.
"I can tell." Rumi replied.
"But I can't stop you because you already made your own decisions." Celine shook her head.
Rumi smiled. "Thank you for handling this so graciously."
"I'm planning his funeral in my head," Celine blurted out.
"That’s sounds fair," Jinu replied.
"Go before I change my mind." Celine responded. The couple quickly went out the front door.
Jinu assumed they were going to go home but Rumi immediately pulled him towards the garden.
"Where are you taking me?" He asked his girlfriend who was dragging him by the arm.
"There’s someone else I'd like you to meet." Rumi laughed.
Jinu was now in front of a tombstone.
"This is my mother." Rumi whispered softly. She sat down on the dirt floor and Jinu followed suit.
"Wow, I can see where you got your looks from." Jinu replied. He laughed as Rumi pushed him.
"I feel like we're this close to not hiding our relationship anymore." Rumi whispered as her fingers briefly touched the tombstone. "I don't want us to be a secret anymore."
Jinu chuckled softly. "The fans will go insane with the news."
Rumi laughed. "Yeah, but all I want is to start a life with you without hiding how I feel."
Jinu leaned forward to kiss Rumi’s forehead. "Well get there together."
"I love you Jinu."
"I love you too Rumi."
Chapter 15: Conflicting Feelings
Summary:
Mira is having trouble wrapping her head around Rumi’s big secret and that Zoey knew everything.
Chapter Text
The next morning was completely awkward for Zoey. Mira had been glaring at her the moment they sat down for breakfast and Rumi wasn't there to stop her. She knew that Mira was genuinely upset about Rumi falling in love with a demon and their whole purpose of becoming a hunter was to protect people from them. Mira felt completely betrayed by Rumi’s actions and wanted some space.
Zoey’s phone buzzed. She knew it was Rumi.
Rumi: Jinu and I spoke to Celine yesterday and told her everything.
Rumi: She took it well in her own way.
Zoey smiled at the news.
Zoey: I'm really proud of you 🥰
Zoey: Mira looks like she wants to use the force on me but we're OK 👌.
Rumi: I'm genuinely sorry for everything
Zoey: Don’t apologize
Zoey: You and Jinu did most of the hard work while Mira and I didn't get to lift a finger.
Rumi: I guess you got the break you deserve.
Zoey: We did
Zoey: So, have you seen Jinu naked?
Rumi: Why would you say that? 😳
Zoey: Maybe because he's a boy, you're a girl, alone in his apartment together. I assume he would be bending you over.
Rumi: No!!
Zoey: So you haven't made it past the kissing stage?
Rumi: Zoey, this is my first relationship and it's our decision to go with the flow and get to know each other better.
Zoey: I completely understand
All relationships work differently
Rumi: Exactly
Zoey: Can you ask Jinu to give me Mystery's number?
Rumi: I'll see what I can do.😂
Zoey: Great! Where is Jinu? How's he doing?
Rumi: He's taking a shower right now.
He's taking me out on a picnic date that the Saja Boys helped plan.
Zoey: Aww, how romantic
So he's naked right now?
Rumi: This conversation is over.🙄
Zoey: Love you too.😘
Zoey chuckled softly as she put her phone back on the counter. Teasing Rumi now that she has a really attractive boyfriend will never not be funny to her. Mira caught her attention as she placed her bowl of cereal in the sink when she was done eating.
"Who was that," Mira questioned Zoey with a raised eyebrow.
"Rumi texted me." Zoey replied casually.
"About what?" She asked.
Zoey shook her head.
"She told Celine everything. She said she took the news very well."
"Oh," Mira mumbled.
"Yeah," Zoey laughed.
"So why did she tell you everything?" Mira growled with visible hurt in her voice. "Why didn't you tell me?" She whispered.
Zoey spun around to look at Mira.
"It's not my story to tell." She replied.
"Yes it is!" Mira snapped. "She was seeing a demon and for all we know he could have been using her!"
"I know that but She’s the one that needs to tell you, I can't because I shouldn't air out her own business." Zoey explained.
Mira’s shoulders tensed. "Did she not trust us?" Mira said with sadness.
Zoey shook her head. "She does trust us but she just has her own way of showing it."
"And I forced her to stay over at Jinu’s apartment?" Mira growled.
Zoey laughed. "Don’t worry, their going on a picnic date that he planned."
Mira rolled her eyes. "She has a lot more explaining to do when I'm done brooding in my feelings."
Zoey nodded. "Yeah, hopefully she'll give us all the juicy details about her relationship."
"What makes you think she will?" Mira asked.
"I read her dream journal all about Jinu and let me tell you she want six kids with him." Zoey giggled.
Mira’s eyes widened with shock. "But she always wanted three kids!"
"I know right!"
"Does she like the idea of starting a family with him?"
Zoey smiled.
"I think she just likes the idea of having his babies and wouldn't mind the process of getting pregnant."
Mira gasped. "Does she even know that she has a breeding kink!?"
Zoey shook her head.
"I'm not sure if she's aware that she has one."
Chapter 16: Some Hope
Summary:
Romance and Mystery have a light hearted conversation with Rumi that leads them both realizing Demons are misunderstood. Jinu is pushing Rumi away due to his fear that his demon side will hurt her. Rumi proves she wants every part of him no matter what.
Chapter Text
It was around noon when the Saja Boys dropped by Jinu’s apartment giving them a call that the boys were coming over soon. It gave Rumi and Jinu enough time to put their clothes back on and clean the apartment just in time for their arrival.
Even though Jinu made his relationship with Rumi official, she insisted it would be polite to hang out in the office/Derpy and Sussie’s playroom while Jinu could chat with his boys.
They were discussing new music that were in the works so she couldn't disrupt their business. She understands because being in a group has its limits.
"Come Derpy, time to brush your fur." Rumi laughed.
Derpy who was laying on the carpet, slowly turned to look at her like a dog hearing his owner asking if they wanted a treat. Derpy purred and made himself comfortable. Sussie was asleep on the dressers. All Rumi could focus on was brushing Derpy’s fur, it was something she found calming whenever she was stressed out and needed to keep herself busy. With the situation with Gwi-ma and doing rehearsals she hadn't had any time with Derpy.
"I'm sorry we haven't done this in awhile," Rumi muttered quietly. "A lot has happened and Your dad and I can't keep our hands off each other."
Derpy purred.
She started brushing his tail. She could hear laughter in the next room.
"Hopefully I can work things out with Mira," Rumi sighed. "I don't want to hide from anyone anymore."
The door to the office room slowly creaked open causing Rumi to stop brushing Derpy’s fur and have her full attention to discover Romance and Mystery.
"I think the coast is clear." Mystery said as he and Romance walked into the room and quietly closed the door.
Romance turned to Mystery with determination. "Let’s find where he's hiding the chocolate.
"Yum," Mystery replied.
The boys took a step forward until something caught their attention. They realized they weren't alone when they discovered Rumi on the couch, Derpy staring at them, and Sussie glaring because her nap time was interrupted.
Mystery and Romance stared at Rumi and then back at each other.
"I forgot the huntress lives here temporarily." Romance whispered.
Rumi raised her eyebrow.
"Good evening," Mystery waves quietly.
"Good evening to you both." Rumi smiled slightly.
Rumi wanted to scream at how awkward the silence has become.
"I'm not going to hurt you if that's what you're thinking."
She noticed how tense they looked and wanted to tell them she's sparing them.
"We won't hurt you as well," Romance replied as he and Mystery sat down on the floor. "Jinu would kill us if we did anything to you."
"Yeah, I bet he would." Rumi laughed.
Mystery stared. "So the rumors are true?"
Rumi eyes widened. "What rumor?"
"That you're half demon." Romance replied.
Rumi was quiet for a moment before shaking her head.
"Yeah, My father was a demon and he and my mother fell in love and had me." Rumi laughed nervously. She didn't know much about her father but she always wondered what he was like.
"I guess history repeats itself." Romance chuckled.
How is it repeating?" Rumi stared at Romance with curiosity.
"You fell in love with a demon but you and Jinu survived." Mystery replied.
"Wow," Rumi muttered quietly.
The room fell silent again but it was way more comfortable for the three of them.
"I'm sorry Jinu and I lied to you guys about everything. We knew falling in love wouldn't sit right for any of you guys but we kept going back even though we shouldn't."
Mystery and Romance looked at each other and nodded.
"We understand," Mystery replied.
Rumi looked at them with eyes widened with shock.
"You do?"
Romance laughed at Rumi’s cluelessness.
"Of course, we were stuck under Gwi-ma's control and we knew that it wasn't worth rebelling against him otherwise we would be in danger ourselves."
"You and Jinu falling in love was something you guys couldn't control but in a way it set us all free." Mystery added.
"Now we all were a little on edge about you but we all realized that In ways, we're a lot alike." Romance leaned back slowly against the wall.
Rumi nodded. "Yeah, Jinu made me realize that. No matter how much I wanted to disagree he proved me wrong."
"I just wish I could help Mira understand what I see."
Mystery and Romance stared at Rumi with sympathy.
"She was taught to not trust demons. She can't unlearn her what she was taught overnight, it takes time." Mystery smiled.
"I guess that makes since." Rumi replied.
Rumi got off of the couch and passed the demon's on the floor making her way towards the computer. Romance and Mystery watched curiously. They gasped in shock when Rumi pulled out a bag of chocolate kisses and gave it to Romance.
"Are you serious?" Mystery said softly.
"What about Jinu?" Romance asked.
Rumi giggled at their reaction but insisted.
"Jinu wouldn't mind at all. Rumi lied. Jinu would be upset but she knows how to take care of him.
"Is there anything we can do for you?" Romance asked.
Rumi nodded. "My friend Zoey really wants your phone number."
Even though his hair was covering his face Mystery was blushing.
Romance laughed while Mystery wrote down Zoey’s number on his phone with Rumi’s help.
Thanks to Rumi, they were able to sneak back outside with the others without anyone noticed he was missing. Rumi in the meantime continued Brushing Derpy’s fur until the Saja Boys parted ways.
Jinu found out Mystery and Zoey stole his chocolate but he knew Rumi was occupied so he assumed they used their powers to sneak in and successfully take the chocolate. Rumi decided it was best to go alone with it.
He was supposed to be helping her make dinner but he was determined to buy a more chocolate kisses. Rumi couldn't believe she got him into that. He quietly kissed her on the cheek and went out the door.
Rumi let out a sigh. Lately Jinu has been holding himself back whenever they got intimate. She couldn't understand why until she realized that his demon side was trying to take over. He was afraid that demon side of himself would hurt her. And she had a plan to tell him that she wanted every side of him.
It takes effort to convince Jinu to do things. But when it comes to sex, he's pretty easy. Rumi grins to herself as she puts in her favorite purple stud earrings.
Usually Jinu is a considerate, gentle lover. Not that she minds at all! Just sometimes she wants something a little rougher. Zoey sent her some lingerie in hopes that maybe that could start of their intimate relationship. She'll never tell her anything other than she's waiting until Marriage.
Who would've thought, she muses as she digs through for just the right outfit, that the demon would get so worked up over a little silk and lace. Shes seen the way he looks at her when she wears specific clothes. He's kinkier than he looks.
The thought makes her smirk and she settles on a matching dark purple with black lace bra and panties set. Hopefully Jinu really likes this one. He mumbled something against her neck about the contrast of her pale skin with the dark colors.
She puts it on, along with black stockings and a garter belt. A sheer "cover up" that covers actually nothing goes on over the outfit to complete the look.
Then Rumi attends to her hair. She curls it into soft waves and leaves it down, tossed over one shoulder. After applying a bit of makeup, she goes to the kitchen, intending to casually prepare food while she waits for her boyfriend to come back.
She hears the creak of the door just as she finishes chopping the salad. She bends down pick up a stray carrot from the floor, and smirks at the sharp intake of breath from behind her. She straightens up slowly and widens her stance, resting her elbows on the counter and pushing her ass out.
"Hey, Jinu." Rumi winks over her shoulder. "I've been waiting for you to come home."
She wiggles her ass a little and that's all it takes to make Jinu snap out of his shock. In a flash, he's behind her, pushing up the thin cover up and squeezing her ass.
"Naughty girl." He rumbles, smacking the round cheeks. "Walking around half naked."
Rumi moans softly. "Just for you, Jinu. Now cmon. Don't keep me waiting."
Jinu growls softly and shoves the panties down her thighs, kneeling down behind her to lick at her rapidly wetting pussy. She gasps and parts her legs even further, grinding down against his mouth.
She looks down at him and gasped slightly, she did it. His demon side was out ready to take charge of her.
After a few minutes of licking and nibbling, Jinu stands up and unbuckles his belt. Once his cock is free, he slams into her.
They both gasp, the unexpectedly sweet friction feels so good, every time. It doesn't last long, both of them too worked up for anything less than hard and fast.
Rumi comes first, crying out as Jinu works her clit roughly. He follows, his sharp teeth biting her shoulder with a low moan as he comes inside her.
Rumi slumps down against the counter, head on her arms. "Fuck yeah, that's how you do it." She mumbles.
"You don't have to protect me from you. To me, every side of you is welcomed." Rumi whispered seductively in Jinu’s ear
Jinu kisses her shoulder and pulls out carefully, cleaning them both up with a touch. He settles her panties back in place and then picks her up, carrying her to their bedroom.
Man, Rumi thinks blurrily to herself, he's too perfect. Fucks her out of her head and then takes care of her after.
He really appreciated how much she wasn't afraid of him. She new he needed a push in the right direction.
Yeah he's easy to love. But she wouldn't have it any other way.
Chapter 17: Reconciliation
Summary:
After a week of silence. Rumi and Jinu meet up with Zoey and Mira and tell them everything.
Chapter Text
"I can't believe this is finally happening."
Rumi paced around nervously in the elevator that was taking them to the top floor of the penthouse. Jinu watched in amusement. He reassured her plenty of times that everything will be fine.
"Do I look good?" Rumi gestured at her outfit. She was wearing one of Jinu’s sweatshirt that she stole from his closet and regular jeans.
"You look beautiful as always," He replied.
"Thanks Jinu," Rumi whispered softly.
He leaned forward to kiss her forehead. Rumi began to relax, Jinu’s support means a lot to her. A part of Rumi was worried that her love for Jinu wouldn't be accepted by Mira like Zoey had easily done. She was worried about how Mira would react to her being part demon as well. But Rumi knew that she needed to get this over with and pray that the outcome was good enough.
"I'm glad you came with me," Rumi muttered. She knew bringing Jinu was a bad idea but he was part of her story that needed to be told. She fought hard to be with him just like he did with her.
"I'll go wherever you go Rumi," Jinu replied. He reached for her hand, admiring the promise ring that fit perfectly on her finger. He kissed her hand in response. It was a promise to stand by her side no matter what happened.
Once they finally reached the floor, Rumi turned to him.
"Are you ready for this?" Rumi stared at him with uncertainty.
"Of course," Jinu replied.
Rumi nodded and they walked together out of the elevator. Zoey was on her phone and relaxing on the couch looked up. Once she saw them she had a huge smile crawl on her face.
"Ooh Rumi I miss you so much" Zoey said tackling Rumi with a crushing hug.
Rumi couldn’t breathe.
"Ahh not too tight!" Rumi groaned.
Zoey immediately pulled away allowing Rumi to catch her breath.
"Oops, I guess I got a bit carried away."
She finally turned towards Jinu and gave her a hug.
"Did you take her virginity yet?" Zoey asked. She whispered in his ear.
Jinu looked at Rumi and smiled.
"It's traditional to wait until Marriage." Jinu replied pulling away from Zoey grasps.
"I guess chilvary is hot in some ways." Zoey shrugged.
Rumi and Jinu laughed. Obviously Zoey is invested in their private bedroom activities but it was something personal that connected them together and didn't want anyone who didn't understand how their love functions differently.
"Is Rumi here yet!" Mira yelled from down the hallway. They could hear her footsteps coming closer and closer.
Rumi grabbed Jinu’s hand for full support. She looked at Jinu for support and he whispered in her ear that everything will be alright. Her heart fluttered.
Mira arrived in the living room and scanned the room. Zoey was in the middle of telling Mira that she was catching up with Rumi, but she spotted Jinu and Rumi together.
"What is he doing here?" Mira growled.
Zoey eyes widened. "Because Rumi invited him."
Mira’s eyes turned towards Rumi who look like she wanted the ground to sink and swallow her away.
"Mira," Zoey started. "Rumi has a right to bring whoever she wants."
"Really Zoey!" Mira snapped.
"He's probably here to take our souls in the process like all demons do."
Jinu felt Rumi’s shoulders tensed.
"I don't trust him at all." Mira looked at Rumi.
"But I do," Rumi said finding the courage in her voice.
"You can't be serious." Mira muttered under her breath.
"Mira, I gave you some space for you to process everything, so right now Jinu and I are hear to explain our reasoning." Rumi snapped.
Mira rolled her eyes and gestured for them to sit on the couch.
Rumi pulled Jinu with her but Mira stopped them.
"He could sit over there," Mira said pointing towards the kitchen table.
Rumi pulled Jinu down sitting closer to her.
Zoey snorted and Mira glared at her.
"Explain from the beginning."
"Start with your patterns." Jinu whispered softly in her ear for only Rumi to hear.
Rumi took a deep breath.
"It all started with our first fight with the Saja Boys at the bathhouse. Jinu discovered a secret of mine that I've been hiding from both of you."
Mira stared at her suspiciously. "What have you been hiding from us?"
"I'm half demon," Rumi muttered. She lifted up the sweatshirt showing off her stomach that was currently glowing.
Mira’s eyes widened with shock.
"This whole entire time you were keeping this from us?" She asked in disbelief.
"This is what I told you that it wasn't my story to tell when you got mad at me for knowing about Jinu." Zoey shrugged.
"Anyways," Rumi disrupted before they get off topic. "Jinu asked me to meet him and we kept on seeing each other."
"We really need to put a tracker on your phone." Mira noted.
"And then we went on our first date and found an antique shop where we purchased the box and went off to the park."
"And that's when Gwi-ma showed himself." Jinu spoke for the first time.
Rumi nodded. "He didn't like that Gwi-ma turned against him and he tried to attack us."
"And then what happened!?" Zoey asked.
Rumi raised a brow. "You already know what happened."
Zoey shrugged and started laughing. "But it's so funny picturing Gwi-ma's defeat."
"Just finished the story!" Mira groaned in annoyance.
"He ran after us but our clueless spirit baby accidentally made him fall." Rumi smirked.
Zoey cackled. "I wish I was there!" She replied wiping a tear.
"And that's how Rumi and I unexpectedly defeated Gwi-ma with a magical box and securing the Honmoon." Jinu looked at Rumi.
She looked back at him and giggled.
"Ugh, I want to share this story with our future grandchildren."
Jinu shook his head. "I don't think they'll believe us."
"I can't believe this." Mira muttered under her breath.
"I know right," Zoey laughed. "If your future kids wouldn't believe this then I would back you guys up!"
"Can we get back on track!" Mira snapped cause the rest of the group to focus.
"Jinu took the box back to his apartment and when Celine ordered me to go under_"
"_ You let him seduce you to get information?" Mira growled.
Rumi gasped. "We were coming up with a plan to help Celine out."
"And I told the Saja Boys everything." Jinu added.
"Was it the time Abby revealed he walked in on you guys kissing?" Mira shot back.
Jinu shook his head. "That was the same day Celine told Rumi about her suspensions. I told them a day later."
Mira shrugged.
"I told Celine about the box, she ordered me to get it, I gave it to her, she figured out a way to set it free, Jinu and I finally got rid of him, and now the rest is history." Rumi said recounting everything that happened for the third time.
The room fell silent for a while. Rumi finally felt all that heavy weight lifting off her chest. Jinu leaned in to kiss her cheek and she smiled. It was his way of telling her that he was proud of her.
Mira finally cleared her throat. All eyes were on her as they patiently waited for her to process everything she was told.
"Was all of it worth it in the end?" Mira asked.
Rumi thought about it. She felt bad about keeping secrets from her friends but she gets to be with Jinu, she gets to show her true self, and Gwi-ma is gone forever. She doesn't regret anything no matter how much her friends don't feel the same.
"I mean, I got everything I wanted," Rumi laughed. "So it's not a complete loss."
Rumi was finally done hiding.
"I'm so glad Rumi and Jinu did all of the hard work for us and we didn't lift a finger." Zoey sat on Jinu’s lap and pulled the couple into a group hug.
Rumi laughed mockingly. "Zoey only I can sit on his lap."
Zoey quickly jumped up and walked back towards Mira.
"She really is half demon."
Mira crossed her arms.
"And you did this to be with a demon?" Mira asked sharply.
Rumi turned to look at Jinu. He wasn't just a demon, he was someone who went through a traumatic life and wanted out of it. He was someone who loves every part of her when she never truly loved herself. He was someone she wanted spend the rest of her life having petty arguments that leads to mind-blowing make up sex. Jinu was someone she was in love with and she was not afraid to announce it to the whole entire world and wouldn't care about the consequences.
"People do crazy things when they're in love." Rumi replied.
"And we're one of them." Jinu whispered.
Mira turned to look at Zoey for help.
Zoey shrugged. "We can't keep them apart now, she was sleeping in his bed for a week because you didn't want to see her."
Mira groaned. "I still don't trust him."
"We know!" The group replied.
"Are you sure your not brainwashed?" Mira asked desperately.
Rumi scoffed.
"If anything we brainwashed each other."
"She’s pretty endearing." Jinu replied.
"And he's someone I think about that just makes my day even better." She breathed.
Mira looked at the couple unamused.
"Alright I forgive you, Rumi can move back in, and you and Jinu can keep seeing each." Mira threw her arms up in the air in defeat.
"You do realize we were going to keep seeing each other regardless?" Rumi smiled slightly as Mira rolled her eyes.
"Yay! Were getting the band back together!" Zoey sang.
Zoey pulled Mira and Rumi into a group hug. They relaxed instantly.
"I'm so glad everything worked out." Zoey said pulling away.
"Yeah, but I wanted to punch you know who in the face." Muttered Mira.
"Only I could look at his face!" Rumi gasped slightly offended.
Mira looked at Rumi with amusement.
"You really are thirsty for him."
Rumi blushed while everyone laughed. But at least from here on out they were on the same page.
Back at Jinu’s apartment, Jinu sat on the bed while Rumi paced around trying to find something. She was packing her bag full of clothes and everything she needed while staying with him.
"What are you looking for princess?" Jinu asked. He smiled at Rumi’s face turning red from his pet name. Princess was definitely one of them. He made a mental note for later.
Rumi looked at him shyly and muttered quietly.
"I can't find any of my underwear." Rumi said, avoiding his eyes.
Jinu got up from the bed and walked closer to her. His hands resting on her waist and she automatically wrapped her arms around him and resting her head on his shoulder.
"Say that again for me," Jinu replied.
Rumi groaned in annoyance.
"My underwear is missing."
"That doesn't sound like a bad thing." He whispered in her ear.
Rumi laughed.
"Yeah, but I'm moving back to my apartment so I can't be walking around naked the entire time."
Jinu sighed dreamily. "Your legs and butt turn me on."
"Good to know." She winked.
"It's going to be hard not waking up next to you."
"I know, personally I really enjoyed waking up with you between my legs."
"Didn’t Romance walk in on us?"
"Did he? I didn't notice?"
Rumi looked at Jinu with shock.
"Have we've been doing nothing screwing around the entire week?"
Jinu smirked.
"Well considering we were drunk from going to a party that one time and you begged me to record all of our fun so we could show our future selves when we get married."
Rumi’s eyes widened. She didn't expect that request to come out of her mouth.
"Don’t worry it's hidden in the safe."
Rumi relaxed.
"Would you like to go shopping for more underwear?" Jinu asked.
Rumi shook her head. "I'll be alright."
"Good," he replied. He gave her a quick peck on her lips. "I'll help you pack."
He pulled away from her but Rumi stopped him.
"What’s wrong?" He asked.
"Nothing," She replied. "Thanks for being by my side."
Jinu blinked.
"I know that voice." Jinu frowned.
"What do you mean?" Rumi asked.
"That’s your 'If I'm nice enough Jinu would let me ride him' voice."
Rumi scoffed at his accusation. "So what, You don't even stop me." She sat on the bed and pouted stubbornly.
"You promised Mira said Zoey you'll be back soon." Jinu crossed his arms like a disappointed dad.
Rumi rolled her eyes and started taking off her sweatshirt."I don't have a curfew." She stared at him knowing that she was as stubborn as he was and there was no winning for him.
"You're insane," Jinu muttered quietly. He watched as Rumi was seductively taking off her pants.
"But Jinu," Rumi started. Her bra dropped exposing her breasts. Jinu took note of how confident Rumi had become when showing off her body for him. He was honestly proud.
Rumi laid down on the bed one every piece of clothing wasn't in sight. Jinu took in how beautiful she is. Her patterns glowing from head to toe. Her legs, especially when she opened up for him. She was truly delicious he just wanted her as a full corse meal. Although that was his demon side talking.
"We might not have any privacy once I go back to my normal routine. So just take off your clothes and love me." Rumi pouted.
Jinu thought about it for a moment and shrugged.
"I guess a few hours of fun won't hurt." He smirked. But he didn't expect how fast Rumi moved quickly taking off his clothes.
She pulled him back towards the bed. “I think I’d look more beautiful with your face between my legs.”
He laughs deeply, the sound bouncing off the walls and floating through the air like music. Rumi couldn’t help but laugh along with him.
Jinu leans down the remnants of laughter still on his tongue as lips trail from her neck down her chest till he's at the waist. Jinu looks up at Rumi, his hands gripping her thighs to push them further apart with a cheeky smile. “I think you might be right.”
Jinu starts by kissing along her hips, moving further down and placing kisses along the fabric to tease her. It has Rumi huffing in response only for him to chuckle and murmur for her to be patient. Next, he’s kissing along the inside of her thighs, sucking marks into the flesh there. Marks that were for Rumi and his eyes only. A gentle reminder that they were each others.
Jinu was completely wrong about having a few hours of fun. Rumi didn’t come home until 3:30 the next day. Luckily she made an excuse about visiting Celine so her friends wouldn't get suspicious.
