Chapter Text

Once again. Being unproductive, black sapphire cookie lays on bed, staring up at the ceiling.

His dough nothing but a heavy clump of sadness, and his heart sinking deeper and deeper into the void every minute. Nothingness.

"SAPPHIREEEE!!! WAKEUPWAKEUPWAKEUP!!! SAPPHIEEEE!!!!!"

Candy apple cookie shouts, swinging the door open.

"Ehh? why do you look so... Weird? Tired?" Candy apple cookie tilt her head as if she was curious.

"Ha, because I am." Black sapphire blurted out, straightening his back.

Candy apple cookie huffed.

"you seem to be ALWAYS tired, especially after you started eating less."

"Hmph. Show star must be flawless, after all. Now leave me alone. Little brat." Black sapphire shooed her away.

"i was PLANNING to. Hah!" She pouts and storms out.

'That little piece of shit... Wont leave me alone...' Black sapphire decides to get up now,and at the blink of an eye, hes ready.

He stares into a mirror, seemingly... Ashamed? Of his face...?

"blacksapphire!!BLACKSAPPHIREBLACKSAPPHIREBIGBROO!!!"

Candy apple rushes to him with alot of paper.

"...what is it now..." black sapphire sighs, staring at candy apple.

"I WROTE SOMETHING OF YOU AND MASTERR!!!" she gave the paper to black sapphire, excited.

"...m-master shadow milk grabbed black sapphire and threw him towards th-..." Black sapphire froze, letter by letter, giving him flashbacks of his past.

"...dont write these anymore." black sapphire demanded, shoving the papers away.

"whaaat??? Whyyyyy... I spent alot of time on them, yknow." Candy apple was confused at why black sapphire didnt want her to write these anymore, because she wrote what she saw!

"just, just dont." Black sapphire looked out at the window, distracting himself. "FINE! Youre so SELFISH." candy apple pouts once again and sticks her tongue out.

‘selfish... Yes, selfish... Im so selfish...haah...’ black sapphire stared at the ground now, hoping not to break into tears.

No, no. Not in front of candy apple.

"Im GOING!" she runs to shadow milk's direction.

"MASTER!! MASTERRR!!!"

candy apple shouts, surprising shadow milk.

But he didnt care.

"what is it, little minion?"

He spoke in a tone thats a little softer than his original voice, just for candy apple.

Smiling.

"big bro is ANNOYING me again!" Candy apple crosses her arms and huffs.

shadow milk's eye twitches, his smile faltering slightly.

"Now, now, what did he do?"

He still spoke in a hushed voice, not wanting to scare candy apple.

"He said my writing was TRASH and I should NEVER write again!!"

Candy apple exaggerated it for shadow milk, but something in her heart wiggled.

And she didnt care.

All she cared about now was getting black sapphire into more trouble.

"oh now, did that little brat say so...?" 

he was frowning now, getting ready to punish black sapphire.

"YEAHH!! please punish himm..."

she acted her best, and it seemed like shadow milk believed it.

"okay, I will get him in trouble."

Shadow milk said as he floated towards black sapphires room.

"kya ha ha... Hell NEVER mess with me AGAIN..."

"black sapphire."

Shadow milk spoke in his usual cold voice, now that he wasnt speaking to candy apple.

Even colder than his usual tone, perhaps.

black sapphire flinched.

"Ah! My lo-lord... You scared me... haha..."

"Did. You. Say. Candy. Apple. Cookie's. Writing. Was. Bad." shadow milk said, glaring at black sapphire.

"N-No! My lord-"

But before he could finish, he was cut off by shadow milk.

"I dont wanna hear it. WHAT DID I TELL YOU LAST TIME?!"

"...never mess with candy apple cookie, ever again..."

"THERE! I TOLD YOU, STOP FIGHTING WITH HER!! I DONT WANNA HAVE TO COMFORT HER EVERY TIME YOU HURT HER FEELINGS!!!"

"I-Im sorry, my lord... Its all my fault... Please, dont-"

"SHUT UP!!" shadow milk grabbed black sapphire's mic, then-

"Hey big broo! Did ya get in troublee?~" Candy apple cookie teased, leaning towards black sapphire playfully.

"yeah..." black sapphire replied bluntly, his head still aching.

"Seems like my writings weren't trash now, were they?" Candy apple joked, giggling.

"Im sorry..." black sapphire shot up seeing shadow milk enter the room.

"Black sapphire. I warned you, okay?"

shadow milk sighs and floats away.

"yes, my lord..." black sapphire stared at the ground, looking guilty.

black sapphire shrinks at the pain at his head, still remebering the warm jam that spread across the floor from his dough when the mic hit his head.

...How could lord DO such a thing?

Candy Apple Cookie lays in her bed- staring up at the ceiling, glowing with the dim, red light of the chandelier, a strange noise coming from the other room.

It sounded like... sniffling. Crying.

For the sake of her curiousity, she decides to get up and check what the noise actually was. She quietly follows where the noise is coming from, tiptoeing in the the hallway that is dark as the night sky, and finds herself infront of-

-Black Sapphire Cookie's room?

Black Sapphire Cookie? Crying? Nonsense. He wasn't the type to wail, was he?

But, it was definitely him!

It was his voice!

She had never heard him crying... Just a few whines and annoyed grunts, cuss words, his usual "Radio Show Voice"...

Right, right. She then decided that she would look through the tiny, tiiny keyhole on Black Sapphire's door.

She leaned down and looked into the hole, where she witnessed a room that was lit with a chandelier as always, a Cookie sat in bed, tears glinting as it rolled down its cheeks.

He was crying?

but crying about what?

He had absolutely no right to cry. The one that actually deserved to cry was HER!! HER DRAWING WAS BEEN ATTACKED BY HIM, SO WHY WAS HE CRYING?? 

It didn't make sense.

The cookie deliberately revealed the interior of the room, so that the only sound that could be heard was the silent creak of the door--

Black Sapphire Cookie's breath hitched once he heard the door creak.

And for a heartbeat, the world stopped spinning.

Oh witches, did he notice?

" ...Who... "

Dammit, he did notice.

Does she stay silent? Or does she talk?

Black Sapphire Cookie just looks up with the tear stained face — seeing Candy Apple Cookie. He jumps after looking at the Cookie staring down at him. Black Sapphire Cookie instinctively covers himself.

" I-I...!! "

" Black Sapphire what. Why were you crying? "

Black Sapphire stays silent- it wasn't a good sign. He had never been silent before; He would've either vented or got angry at her.

" Black Sapphire. "

" ...Master... "

" Master what? "

The standing cookie didn't feel well about this, because why would he ever cut himself off? Was it traumatic? Was it horrifying? Mental abuse? Physical abuse? Emotional neglect?

Her mind wandered off to all sorts of negative things, from simple things like dicipline to worse things like rape. Rape was a sure no!!

No, no!

" Tell me, Black Sapphire. "

" ...Why would I? "

Those words broke her heart and left her into crumbs. He didn't trust her? Even if she despised him, weren't they family...?

" Then I'll just think of it as abuse... "

She tries to drift away into her own room, before Black Sapphire caught her by her arm- his eyes forming tears once again.

" No, please! It's not th-that!! "

He was oddly defensive about it, which made her even more suspicious? But she belived it.
