Work Text:
Christine woke up in an unfamiliar room with her head throbbing.
She was lying on a black couch with the black brick fireplace roaring with heat.
Mounted about the fireplace was a large deer skull that was mounted vertically on a piece of dark wood that resembled a coffin.
Sitting nearby were 5 boys and 1 girl all looking around 17 years old and all of them had pale skin like snow.
“Oh you are awake."an wasian boy with blond tousled hair, emerald green eyes.
He also spoke with a slight french accent and he wore a dark green edwardian collar shirt with golden,a black waistcoat with white ruffle cuffs on the sleeves and black oxford shoes with heels.
The blond boy got up from his chair and walked towards her.
“Christine Ravenhill, is your name correct?”the blonde boy asked.
He smelt of roses, not rose scented cologne but real roses fresh from the outdoors.
“Y-yes sir.”Christine replied.
“I thought so due to your id and the photo matches you perfectly,”a boy with white hair and piercing icy blue eyes said.
"I am Lloyd Garmadon, one of the soon to be Crimson Lords and my companions are also soon to be Crimson Lords and Lady."the blond boy explained.
Crimson Lords and Lady.Where I have heard that before?
"We bought you to our home,Coffin Manor after we found you unconscious and bleeding out,"Lloyd said continuing to explain.
"Since we saved you from being food for the wolves you now are in our hands,"the white haired boy said.
"W-what are you going to do me?"Christine asked.
"Calm down we aren't going to hurt you," a Japanese black haired girl with ocean blue eyes said soothingly getting up and grabbing her hand.
"We aren't barbarians, all we ask of you is to provide for the household,"the blond boy said sitting down on the coach she was stting on.
"How?"Christine asked
"With your blood of course~"a handsome Japanese brown haired boy with amber eyes said, casually holding a red rose with his waistcoat unbuttoned revealing his red shirt with frilled chest insets unlike the other boys who had their waistcoats buttoned up.
Their pale skin, the decor of the room that had coffins, skulls and the name of the manor.
Oh, she was a fool to not realize earlier!
It was clear that they were anything but human.
Y-you're vampires!"Christine cried.
"Yes I'm surprised our skin and home didn't give it away,"Lloyd said, smiling slightly showing his fangs.
"We are the young master and mistress of the household and you obey our orders unless our parents order otherwise. Is that clear?"Lloyd asked.
"Yes sir,"Christine replied nervously.
"Now, that's out of the way, I suppose introductions are in order,"Lloyd said.
"This is Kai Homura,Young Lord of Fire,"Lloyd set pointing to the brunette.
"Lovely to meet to you darling~"Kai said, kissing her hand.
"Kai! What did we say about flirting with random women?"the black haired girl said scoldingly.
"Sorry,"Kai said, clearly not sorry.
"Nya is the Young Lady of the Tides, "Lloyd said pointing to the black haired girl.
"Hajimemashite Ravenhill-san!"Nya said, with a genuine smile.
"I'm sorry?"Christine said, confused about what she said.
"Hajimemashite means nice to meet you in japanese,"a boy with reddish brown hair and lightning blue eyes explained.
"Hajimemashite!"Christine said, pronouncing it incorrectly.
"The pronunciation isn't right but good effort!"Nya said.
Christine beamed.
"I'm Jay Walker, young Lord of Lightning,"the boy with reddish brown said, sticking out his hand for her to shake.
"Nice to meet you Lord Walker or should I call you Lord Jay?"
Lord Jay and Lady Nya were certainly the most friendly out of the group besides Nya's flirty brother.
"First names are perfectly fine,"Jay said.
"I am Zane Julian,Young Lord of Ice,"the white haired boy said.
"I'm Cole Brookstone Young Lord of Earth,"the black haired boy said.
"Lovely to met you,"
"Come walk with us,"Lloyd said, getting up.
"Yes,Lord Lloyd,"Christine said getting up and following them out into the hallway.
"This manor is located near London on the mountains, and by the looks of your clothes , you're from the city, correct?"Lloyd asked.
"Right I'm from the center of london."Christine replied.
"Jay, can you gather the servants in the saloon?"Lloyd asked.
"Right!"Jay said.
And with that he ran off into one of the rooms.
"I recommend you learn Japanese since most of the household are Japanese and we speak it quite often,"Lloyd explained to they walked quickly down the halls.
"The house steward Ed or his wife the house stewardess Edna would be more than happy to teach you,"Nya said, kindly.
"You will need to be taught navigate the manor so you don't get lost, since we have a lot of rooms and corridors,"Zane said.
"May I ask I question?"Christine timidly.
"You may,"Lloyd said.
"I'm sorry this if is offensive but are vampires supposed to have red eyes?"Christine asked.
"Yes, but only when we've been deprived of blood which you won't see from anyone here. We are civilized and far from the savages our ancestors were."Lloyd replied.
"Here we are,"Lloyd said opening a wooden double door leading to the saloon.
Inside were other vampires with the youngest looking 15 and the oldest looking like they were in their seventies.
Tending to the bar was a 40 year man with his brown hair in pompadour talking to a Japanese man in his forty with orange hair.
Sitting at the bar with Jay was elderly couple who by the looks of it was talking very casually Jay, which was odd since she never heard of a master being so casual with their servants.
Sitting at a table near the door was 3 fifteen years old one with a girl with red hair, one girl with pink hair and one boy with black hair.
Sitting at the next table over was a girl who looked like she was in her early twenties with short, dark red hair with black streaks talking to a 14 year old boy with light brown combed hair.
When they walked in everyone became quiet and Kai went to go sit with the fifteen year olds
"Everyone I would like you to meet our blood provider Christine Ravenhill."Cole said.
"Welcome!"
"Look at her skin,it's so tanned!"
"She's a bit small, will she really have enough blood for all of us?"
"They don't mean any offense with their comments, since most of them have never seen a human before since we get our blood from somewhere else and they're worried about the blood shortage"Nya whispered to her.
"What blood shortage?"Christine asked whispering back.
But Nya didn't hear her.
"Dareth is our bartender and his boyfriend Ronin is his assistance,"Lloyd said, pointing to the two forty year olds at the bar.
"Nice to meet you,"Dareth said waiting so much he that fell nearly breaking the glass he was cleaning if it weren't for Ronin grobbing it.
"Nice to meet ya."Ronin said pulling his boyfriend back up.
"Ed and Edna as I mentioned before are the house steward and stewardess and are senior staff here,"Nya explained.
"Now let me get a better look at you!"Edna said kindly.
Christine walked over to her nervously.
"Aw isn't she cute Ed?"Edna cooed.
"She sure is!"
Edna and Ed were certainly as kind as they looked.
"Sora is the general caretaker of the animals here and Wyldfyre is our stablehand,"Kai said
"Pleasure to meet you!"Sora said.
"Your skin is different,"Wyldfyre pointed out.
"That's because she's a human."Kai pointed out patiently like a teacher correcting their student.
"I'm Arin the head chef!"the black haired boy introduce himself happily.
"I'm sorry aren't you bit young for that role?"Christine asked politely.
"Arin is a real cooking prodigy especially baking,"Lloyd said looking at Arin with pride.
"His pies are really good!"Sora added.
"Lastly Antonia and Nelson are our housekeepers,"Cole said.
"Welcome to the manor,"Antonia said.
"Thank you Miss Antonia,"
"Now that introductions are finished we must be getting back to work. The servants can answer any question you have and give you the tour."Lloyd said.
And with that their lords and lady took their leave leaving her with the servants.
"Look kid, I know you're scared of us because we're vampires and you're human but we aren't gonna hurt you because we don't have a reason to and we would get in trouble if we harmed you,"Ronin said, pouring himself a drink.
"And they won't hurt you either since you're our source of food,"Antonia added.
"If you have any questions you can ask since I'm sure you have loads of things,"Antonia said.
"Is it true vampires can turn into bats?"Christine asked.
"I think humans might have gotten vampires confused for werewolves. We can't turn into bat but we have bat wings,"Sora said, showing off her bat wings.
"Usually we don't have our wings out in daily life since they make everything harder,"Arin explained as Sora made her wings disappear.
"Lord Lloyd mentioned his and the others parents what are they like?"
"Like their kids they can be a bit intimidating like when Lord Garmadon found me stealing from the house and I would have been dead if it weren't for his brother instead of working here,"Ronin said.
"Yeah, they all might be intimidating towards you to make sure you don't escape and to make sure you obey orders but once they won't up to you they'll be a lot nicer and a lot less cold,"Nelson added.
"Especially Lord Garmadon and Wu and Wu’s son Morro, that kid is slightly terrifying,"Dareth said shivering.
"Me and Edna have known the families who live here for years heck Edna even helped raise Jay, once they get used to you they aren't so bad."
