Chapter Text
His ears were ringing, his heart was pounding. How could he have been so stupid. It was one night, one really..really great night, and now here he was, sitting alone at the bathroom sink at an ungodly hour of the night, praying. To who, Clark wasn’t really sure anymore all he knew was he could only really repeat one word.
“Please,” he begged “oh please please please PLEASE-“
Oh gosh 30 seconds left on the timer- he didn’t want to look.
“Please? Please, I-i promise I’ll never have sex. Ever. Again. Pleeease-“ the piercing sound of the too loud ringer of his phone went off, and the dread that was already sloshing around in his chest began to overflow. This was it. He had to look. He had to look or.. or what he wasn’t sure, there was no other option, he had to look.
Clark took a deep breath, tried to steel his nerves for the possibilities of what he might see. ‘Maybe it’ll be fine. One line. Onelineonelineoneline-‘ on the long exhale he let himself put his fingers on the test, flipped upside down so he hadn’t been tempted to peek before the timer went off, and quicker than he had intended flipped it over to read.
Oh. An array of emotions began to stir in his chest and gut. He felt light headed as he stared at the test, holding it closer to his eyes as if getting a better look would change the results now laid out in front of him. But Clark knew there was nothing he could do about it now, the answer was clear. And in the form of two lines on the positive pregnancy test.
“Aaaah.. shoot..”
How was he going to tell Lex?
