Summary:

A compilation of my Leo x reader oneshots requested on my old tumblr. Not all the iterations mentioned in the tags have been written for yet. I plan on continuing the series here.

Notes:

Leo's a bit chilly since the heating system broke in the dead of winter.

Chapter 1: Cold Cuddles (03' Leo x gn reader)

Chapter Text

-We all know this stubborn sucker has a hard time accepting help. Especially before his little journey to the Ancient One.
-And well, this is something so small to him.
-Is he cold? Yeah. But like, he'll survive. He's been cold before.
-At least that's how he's trying to play it off.
-When the thermostat broke in the middle of winter at the lair, it wasn't as much of a little problem as Leo told you it was.
-You get to the lair and it feels like one of those Costco fridge rooms, but as a freezer.
-Mikey had been quarantined to his room because he couldn't stop complaining and Raph was going to hurt him.
-Raph went to his room to be alone in his misery.
-Donny had been tasked with fixing the heater so he and April were currently topside getting the proper tools.
-Which leaves Splinter who was drinking warm tea in his room.
-Leo had also retired to his room to meditate.
-He had lit a couple of candles and was trying (like a dumb dumb) to meditate the cold away.
-Or in his terms, have complete oneness in mind and body.
-He doesn't even have any blankets. No one's forcing him to do this either. Bro is just suffering for the sake of it.
-He'll insist that he's fine but come on. We both know that's a lie.
-Because he won't actually admit that he's cold you'll just have to step in and help him out.

Walking into the lair that day, you had been daydreaming of having bundled up cuddles with your boyfriend to combat the biting winter day. Upon actually entering the lair however, that dream was quickly crushed. The place was absolutely FRIGID. Not to mention entirely empty. Unsettlingly empty.

"Hello?" You barely managed to speak out. You watched as your breath puffed out in front of you. It almost felt like anything above a whisper would shatter the dense silence of the place.

"Oh, y/n." Master Splinter said, finally breaking the illusion of foreboding stillness.

"I wasn't aware you were stopping by today." He said while adjusting the blanket around his shoulders with one hand while keeping his tea kettle stable in the other.

"Uh yeah, sorry bout that, I kinda just dropped in."

"No apologies needed, you are always welcome here. Though now might not be the best time. The heater is broken so this place isn't exactly the most comfortable right now." He told you as you walked with him in the direction of his room.

"That's why it's so cold in here!" You rubbed your arms while you spoke.

"Yes. Would you like some tea? It'll warm you up."

"Nah that's okay. Do you know where Leo is? I actually came by to hang with him."

"Ah yes of course," Splinter smiled to himself. He was truly happy that at least one of his sons got to experience romantic love.

"He is just in his room, probably battling the cold like the rest of us."

"Gotcha! Thanks!" And with that you were off.

---

You knocked on Leo's door then opened it. He had expressed the importance of waiting for and answer before coming into the room. You didn't particularly care though. It's not like he ever wore pants, so you not gonna walk in on him changing or anything. Besides, as much as he tells you about it he doesn't really mind. It just seems pointless, to him, to knock if you come in right after.

That being said as you walked in you noticed Leo meditating. He had candles all around him and was visibly shivering, yet he didn't move.

"Dang. If I had known you'd try and romance me with candle light I would have taken out the heater way sooner," you joked. This got Leo's attention.

"That was you!?" he looked at you in slight surprise and slight disappointment.

"No," you snickered. He rolled his eyes.

"What are you doing anyways? Aren't you cold?"

"No not really," he responded and immediately after a strong chill racked his body.

"I'm fine," he looked at you pointedly as a way to convince you of such. You weren't buying it. However you also knew that trying to get him to do things for the sake of his own well being didn't really work. So you were gonna try a different method.

"Well I'm not, so I'm gonna go make us some tea," you decided.

"You don't need to make me any," he told you.

"Then I guess I'm making two mugs of tea for myself," and with that you closed the door to his room and made your way to the kitchen.

On you way there you had run into a shivering Mikey who begged you to make him some coco after he knew what you were doing. You honestly felt bad for the guy. He looked like a wet cat and a kicked puppy had a turtle baby. Though your not sure how much of that was actually him being cold and how much was just typical Mikey theatrics.

When you gave him the coco he took a large swig and called you an angle. You just rolled your eyes and patted his head before grabbing yours and Leo's mug and heading off.

You had picked spicy ginger tea and it was working wonders for you, you were still cold but if felt more manageable as you drank it. You can only imagine what it would do for the guys. Them being reptiles and all. When you finally made it back to Leo's room you had finished about half your mug.

Since you couldn't knock with your hands you just said, 'knock knock' before entering.

"Why do you insist on doing that?" he said with a mixture of confusion and amusement.

"Why do you insist on me not doing that?"

He chuckled at this. Leo had always enjoyed your company. Your silly attitude never failed to make him smile.

He returned to suffering meditating while you set your mug next to his futon mattress. Walking over to him you set his mug down off to the side of him. Then, you reached your arms around his neck and rested your head on his shoulder while you cuddled slightly into his back.

"You need something dear?"

"Not really," you said, mimicking what he told you earlier.

"I am trying to meditate. You know that?" He told you while slightly leaning into your touch.

"Really?," you teased, "is this position not ideal for your spiritual focus?" you purred into his ear jokingly.

He blushed at this, but refused to yield.

"Not really no."

You let him go and pouted. Why's he gotta make it so hard. You had started to get colder so you chugged the rest of your tea before grabbing his mug and making you way in front of him. His eyes were closed as you did such, still shivering.

"Awww, did you save this seat for me?," you put your hand on you chest pretending to be touched, "You shouldn't have."

Before Leo could open his eyes and question you however, you had already made yourself comfortable in his lap.

"y/n?" he looked at you curiously.

"Leonardo." You responded, satisfied with yourself.

"I'm meditating?" he told in a gentle tone.

"I know. That's why I moved, to make it easier!" you told him sweetly while giving him your best innocent eyes you could.

Leo sighed. He really wanted to keep meditating. But at the same time he was way to friggin cold to focus. He thought it would be good endurance training but the only thing he's having to endure now is the desire to cuddle you. You were liked a hearing pad and the tea was radiating warm steam right into his face.

He looked down at you and his resolve completely crumbled. Your big eyes staring at him, mouth in a slight pout, and you hands cradling a cup close to your body. He had been meditating long enough right? Maybe a break was in order....

And with that he scooped you up and set you down on the futon with your mug. When he saw the empty mug next to it he looked at you.

"you actually made yourself two?" he said smiling to himself.

"Maybe. Maybe not," you shrugged, "I haven't drunken from this one yet though, so if someone were to take it from me...."

With that Leo sat down in front of you. He wrapped his hands around your hand that held the cup and the mug itself. As he lifted the mug to his lips your arm moved with it.

"Thank you," he said softly as he finished his sip.

"Don't thank me yet," you responded just as quietly. With that you handed him the mug and left the room. Not without telling him you'd be back though.

You gathered the biggest blankets you could and rushed back to Leo's room. When you got back Leo was sitting on the mattress sipping on his tea, still shivering but his condition had improved.

You took one blanket and wrapped it around both of your guys' shoulders and then grabbed the other and pulled it over your laps. Leo held the mug in one hand while he wrapped the other around you. You placed your legs horizontally over his and cuddled into his side while you rested you head on his collar bone. You pulled the blanket up to you chin and Leo wrapped the other blanket around you both almost entirely.

You closed your eyes and a satisfied sigh left your lips.

Leo finished his tea and leaned over slightly to place it next to your empty mug. Now that he could properly wrap both arms around you he locked you in a firm embrace of blankets. The blankets were soft, and now, warm to the touch. The orange glow of the candles gave the room a sleepy atmosphere. It was so comfortable Leo wondered why he ever wanted to meditate in the cold. He looked down at you and kissed the top of you head. You giggled and he smiled at you.

"I'm so lucky to have you." He sighed and leaned back into the wall.

"Hmmmmm. Yes you are," you lifted you head to look at him, "and I'm so lucky to have you."

With that you kissed him. It was a soft kiss on the lips and it was perfect.

So I guess 'crushed' was the wrong word to describe your cuddling daydream of the day.

Chapter 2: Unexpected Turns (Rise Leo x reader)

Summary:

After having your feelings rejected by Donnie, your long time crush, you began slipping back into some bad thoughts and habits. Leo has been nothing but supportive and having him there begins to make you feel a better little by little. That was until an untimely confession is made.

Angst, fluffish? Cat mutant but can be interpreted as any fluffy animal.

Chapter Text

"Are you okay?" Donnie asked you. He didn't want to hurt you but he wasn't going to lie to you either.

"Yeah. Yeah I'm fine," you told him.

"Are you sure? Your tone of voice and body language are more in line with behaviors exhib-"

"I'mFINE!" You say frantically. You didn't mean to raise your voice. You just couldn't stop yourself.

Donnie recoiled slightly in shock.

"Sorry... I just need to be alone right now," and with that you took your leave.

It feels like it happened forever ago, and yet it still hurt like a fresh wound.

You hadn't dropped by the lair very much since then. And you always double check that Donnie wasn't there before you headed over. He probably didn't want to see you anyways so it's really for the best. The others have reached out to you but you haven't really been in the mood. Mikey wants you to talk it out and Raph keeps offering you hugs. Heck even Splinters tried to help. But Leo texted you the most. Every morning and every night, telling you he cares and that he's always here and to sleep well. Checking in periodically to remind you to eat and take care of yourself. Honestly, he's probably the only reason you have any sort of routine right now.

It's not like you couldn't get out of bed and do stuff. Your heart was just heavy and no matter how much you slept you were always tired. You cried every time you thought about it but it never made you feel any better. Your chest felt dry and hollow. It stung like it's been starved of any sort of moisture and every breath you take just dries it out more.

Looking at yourself in the mirror doesn't exactly help either. You and Donnie got along really well so you could help but get down about your looks. You used to be confident you were at least a little pretty when you were human but after your mutation? Let's just say it's been a really difficult journey of self confidence for you. Now you just actively avoid mirrors when you can. It's better it if you try not to think about it. Except that never really works because, try as you might, you're always thinking about it. You sit down and the rolls of your tummy form. You wiggle your arms and that little flap of flesh swings. You smell funky all the time now and all the fur, it makes you feel gross. All these and more combine in any reflective surface to make you feel nothing but inadequate.

But then Leo texts you, asking if you ate. Most of the time you tell him you have. Most of the time you haven't. But today you didn't have the strength to lie. You hadn't had energy to do much of anything lately. Your friends from school were starting to worry too.

That text was all the invitation Leo needed to welcome himself into your house apparently.

As he stepped out of his portal into your apartments living room he looked for you.

"Y/nnnnnnn! I brought pizza!" He called playfully as he wandered around your home opening different doors just to make sure he doesn't miss you.

"It's your favoriteeeee," he sang as he peaked his head into your room scanning the space.

And there you were. Laying in a dejected pile of sheets. Tangled in your bed looking like you lost your soul. He frowned and let himself in. He hated seeing you like this. But he also hated that there was no one to blame. Sure he could blame Donnie, but it's not like Dee did anything wrong per say. Eventually, he was standing over you looking down at you.

"Hey," he spoke softly through a gentle smile.

"Hey," you whispered back.

"Let's sit up yeah?" He quietly suggested.

"Yeah. Okay," you agreed. You sluggishly peel your body off the surface of your mattress. Leo put his free hand out for you in case you needed the help. You didn't but the gesture was appreciated nonetheless.

"Here take this," he handed you the box and you set it on your lap. The hot underside would have burned your legs if it weren't for your sweatpants. You opened the box to reveal that he, in fact, did get your favorite.

Leo began straightening out your sheets and folded them back neatly to make room for himself to sit.

"So," he started while taking a slice out of the box in your lap, "wanna talk about it?"

"Not really," you answered, taking your own slice.

You ate in silence for a few minutes. You hated that the food made you feel better. It was good, yes, but you didn't need to look worse. You wondered if Leo knew anything. Any reason why Donnie rejected you.

You wondered what Leo thought of you.

Out of everyone, he displayed the most care towards you. He went above and beyond to help you, even before this. Did he feel bad for you because of how you looked? Was it pity?

Before you could push those ridiculous thoughts out of your head, a muttered question fell past your lips.

"Am I really that ugly?"

"What?" Leo jerked his head to you from where he was enjoying his pizza.

"Nothing! SorryforgetIsaidanything!"

"Nononono! You don't just get to back out. Say it again," Leo was getting up in your face at this, but he wasn't sporting his laid back smile anymore. You knew he wasn't gonna let this one slide so you repeated yourself. Albeit, reluctantly.

"I just wonder... sometimes... if I'm really that, um... ugly. Ya know," you said, avoiding eye contact.

"Who told you you were ever ugly?" Leo responded visibly confused and slightly offended. Suddenly he gave a large gasp.

"Was it DONNIE!? Because if it was Donnie I can and will fight him for you. Ohohoh no! Even better! I'll tell dad on him! You just say the word and I'll-"

"LEO!"

"Sorry."

You sighed, "It wasn't Donnie. I just wonder if, this," you gesture to yourself, "was part of the reason is all. I'm not exactly... how I used to be. So it wouldn't surprise me."

"Well that just flipping ridiculous, your gorgeous! You were then and you sure are now! Not to mention you have amazing fashion sense, your super funny, and your just like, crazily fun to hang out with," he began.

"you really think so?"

"I don't just think so, I KNOW so!" He jumped up in front of you, "When have I ever been wrong," he smiled with confidence.

You opened your mouth to speak but before you could say anything he spoke again.

"Don't answer that," he pointed at you.

You huffed a short laugh at this and Leo smiled. There you were.

"Honestly though, I don't think Donnies much of a looks guy anyways I mean, have you seen the guy? And besides just because he's not in love with you doesn't mean it had anything to do with your appearance. It's just that he doesn't see you that way. Which might not be better but look, I know it's cliché to say but I genuinely think any guy would be lucky to date you, heck, I want to date you!" He rambled as he paced.

"You what?"

"What?"

He looked at you like he didn't just admit to wanting to date you.

"You want to... to date me?"

"Uuuuuuuh," he stared at you like an idiot, "Well- I- it wasn't- *sigh* I didn't mean to tell you right now, or like this, but... yeeah. Kind of. A lot."

"Oh." Was all you could muster. Not bad not good. Just slightly surprised.

"Maybe I should go?" He scratched the back of his neck sweating.

"Uhm yeah. Can, we talk about this later?"

"Sure! Of course. I mean, take your time, you've got other things going on so no rush. Sorry," He fumbled nervously while trying to make a portal out of there.

"It's okay, I- I'm not upset or anything."

"Okay... good! Well, I'm, see you later then!"

"Yup, you too," you waved him off and then he was gone, just as quickly as was here.

You weren't sure how to feel about this whole situation now. Leo liked you like that? Did people know? Is the only reason you didn't because you were so focused on Donnie? Just how long had Leo liked you like that?

You were more confused then ever and while you were left with more questions then you had before, one thing stuck with you. He thought you were pretty.

Chapter 3: Love Bug 03' Leo x reader

Summary:

Your boyfriend helps you out when your sick. No one's ever done that for you before, so safe to say your feeling extra cuddly when your all better.

Chapter Text

-It was flu season and well, you had an incredibly weak immune system.
-If felt like your brain was stuffed with cotton balls and you couldn't breath through your nose.
-Breathing through your throat hurt but it was the only way to get your oxygen.
-And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
-Safe to say you haven't stopped by the lair in a while and contacting the guys was the least of your worries.
-Leo was getting worried so he decided to stop by your place and was terrified to see you so sick and BY YOURSELF.
-WHO LEAVES A SICK PERSON ALONE???
-Nononononono.
-You'll try and tell him your fine and that you can take care of it but he's attitude is basically "no shut up."
-He will get you all your meals, refill your water as many times he needs to, gets you all your medicine, and anything else you might need.
-If there is something he can do, he will.
-And well... You felt spoiled.
-It would be a lie to say you didn't enjoy it.
-This was the first time someone had ever made such a fuss about you.
-And it continued until you were all better.

"Hey Leo, can I come in?" You ask outside his bedroom.

This is the first time you'd stopped by the lair since you'd gotten over your sickness.

"Of course," he answered.

As you entered you saw him reading over some Japanese scrolls on his desk. You walked towards him and looked over his shoulder to get a better view.

"There Master Splinters," he told you, "He says it's important to know the events of the past in order to learn from them."

He continued to tell you about what he was reading and why he thought it was important but you couldn't hear him. You wished you could have listened better but the burning sensation tingling just below your skin was too distracting.

He had been with you all day everyday during your sickness and now that you were better, you really missed him. You wanted to kiss his face and wrap his arms around you. You watched the way his lips moved as he spoke to you and the way his face lit up while talking. As you sat there watching him a warm glow bloomed between you both. A soft comfortable atmosphere full of love.

As he was talking you reached out and wrapped him in a hug, unable to keep to yourself any longer.

"Y/n? Are you alright?" You weren't normally super touchy, so this was new for him.

"Yeah. Keep talking."

He eyed you curiously but then picked up where he had left off. This time though he wrapped his arm around you and leaned back on his other. You nuzzled further into the crook of his neck before pecking the bottom of his gaw. This time his pause was quite abrupt.

"Are you sure you're alright? You aren't acting like yourself," he questioned.

"I'm better than ever Leo. I just feel like cuddling my boyfriend," you looked up at him, "Is that so wrong?"

Leo flushed but then smiled softly at you.

"Not at all."

Chapter 4: Through me First 03' Leo x reader

Summary:

Some rando science jerk wants to know exactly what the turtles are. Imagine their surprise at learning they have a s/o.

Chapter Text

-You didn't know what happened.
-One minute all four turtles were on patrol and the next only three came back battered and bruised.
-You were terrified.
-Someone took Leo, and for what?
-To report him to the government?
-Turn him over to police?
-Experiment on him?
-You hated thinking of what could happen to him.
-So while the others were getting their injuries treated you took the turtle van and a couple of guns and looked for you boyfriend.
-It took a while to find them and you nearly died trying to get him out of there.
-If it weren't for Casey and April following you, you probably would have.
-It didn't matter how tired you were though, you were furious after seeing Leo strapped to a table.
-You would fight like your life depended on it, barely sane enough to keep from killing everyone in that room.
-When you got to Leo you were much to impatient to find him a sensible way out and instead opted for shooting his restraints off.

By the time you both made it out of the facility and back into the turtle van April and Casey were already chewing you out for being so reckless. You didn't care though. You tended to Leos wounds. Your gentle motions in stark contrast to the rampage you went on earlier. You were precise with the wrappings as your bloodied fingertips secured his bandages.

"You should really take care of your own injuries," Leo told you for the fifth time since getting in the van.

"I will. After I'm done here," you respond, again, for the fifth time. You didn't look at him, still much to focused on patching him up. Leo would have pushed harder for you to take care of yourself but he was so physically and mentally drained from the experience that he couldn't bring himself to. Especially since he's never seen you act this way before, and it felt like he was trending on eggshells trying to figure out how exactly you were feeling.

"Are you even listening y/n!?" April chastised. You didn't respond. You finished up your last bandage on Leo and began to inspect him. You looked him over head to toe, poking and prodding at different areas for a reaction, just to make sure he's alright.

"Y/n?!" April tried to get your attention.

"I heard you. I understand," you told her, not breaking eye contact with Leo. April huffed, not fully believing you but deciding that she's done all she could.

Once you had decided you've done all you could for Leo you wrapped your arms around his neck in a desperate hug. You held him and buried your face in his neck, eyes wide open.

"Y/n?" He asked, returning your embrace.

"I will never let them have you," you whispered in his ear.

Leo felt his throat tighten. That's the coldest tone he'd ever heard you use. He wasn't sure how he was supposed to feel.

Chapter 5: Take a Hint! 03' Leo x reader

Chapter Text

-Let's be honest, all the turtles are just really bad at flirting.
-I mean, they've lived in the sewer their whole lives and the first girl they ever met was April.
-Leo doesn't really know much about love but he is determined to romance you.
-He'll start watching a bunch of movies with Mikey.
-Mikey will be a little less than pleased that they all have to be romance or have romance in them but who is he to judge his brothers movie taste?
-He's just happy to spend more time with Leo where he isn't being the leader.
-Back to Leo though, dude tries everything to seduce you.
-He gets you flowers, makes you food, takes you out, heck he even learns to dance for you.
-And somehow. You don't get it.
-Leos not even trying to hide it at this point.
-You don't even pick up on his feelings when his brothers tease him for it IN -FRONT OF YOU.
-You're so dense.
-April tries to help you connect the dots but your brain ain't braining apparently.
-She ends up telling Leo that your not gonna get it unless he tells you straight up.
-Leo isn't to thrilled about that.
-He's not used to this romance thing and now he has to put himself in such a position of emotional vulnerability?
-It's not that he thinks you'll be mean to him, but not knowing whether you feel the same way offers too many unknowns for him to be comfortable.
-Eventually though, after a bit of back and forth with himself he'll tell you.

A moment ago you were playing games with Mikey and Donny while enjoying some pizza. Now your following Leo out of the lair and far away from the pizza you wanted to finish. You just know Mikey is gonna eat it. You try and keep your focus on the pizza you left in the lair to distract yourself from Leo. Him and his gentle touches as he tries to help you onto a building rooftop. To distract from the fact of just how alone you two were. From the butterflies that erupted in your stomach when he turned to look at you.

The sky was dark but the city lit your faces. The lights of buildings and cars glittering from far away. The wind brushed past you both as you kinda just stood there. Leo had said he wanted to talk to you yet he hasn't done a lick of talking after taking you out here.

"Leo?" You voiced. It was a bit difficult to speak since the silence seems to palpable. He blinked and adjusted like you had caught him off guard. Which you kinda did. He had made up his mind to tell you how he felt but in his spontaneous decision making he didn't actually think of how. So he had spent the time staring into space spiraling about how to say it.

"Y/n I-" he began, "I wanted to tell you..... Um."

You were starting to get really worried now. Leo never stuttered, he never acted like this.

"Is something wrong Leo?" Your voice laced with concern.

"Wha-? No! I mean... everything's fine! I promise.."

You reached out and rested your hand on his shoulder.

"Take your time," you looked him in the eye, "if nothing's wrong then there's no need to rush." You smiled at him encouragingly.

Leo sighed and tried to clear his mind. You were right, there is nothing wrong. As your hand slipped off his shoulder he looked you in the eye.

The gentle breeze brushed past you both. Your eyes met his and he felt completely entranced by you. The lights of the city highlighting your silhouette making you glow. He felt hot in the face and he couldn't help but take a shallow breath before speaking.

"Y/n, I think I'm in love with you."

Chapter 6: You're Broken?! 03' Leo x gn reader

Summary:

You got injured and haven't been able to see your boyfriend for a while. You tell them that they can come over for a visit but forget to mention a very tiny oh so important detail about your... injury.

Chapter Text

-DID YOU BREAK YOUR SPINE??!
-Oh he is so concerned, like WHAT DID YOU DO!?
-Will not let you do literally anything.
-You want water? No. Stay put I'll get it for you
-Want a book from your shelf across the room. LAY THE FRICK BACK DOWN!
-Now which one do you want?
-If you tell him that your tired of doing nothing and you want to be able to at least walk around, he will still be very hesitant.
-Of course he wants you to be happy but your still healing and he just doesn't want you to get hurt again.
-Your making him nervous.
-You'll compromise on him basically spotting you while walking around or do anything.
-Bro is literally watching you like your life depends on it because in his eyes, it kinda does.

When you said Leo could come over to see you he wasn't expecting you to have a cast around your torso with a walker in your hands. For context, you had been hanging out with your friends when you made a small 'oopsie'. Now your back feels like someone hammered a nail into each one of your vertebrae. Then to add insult to injury, the walker makes you look like an old lady.

Regardless, you've been alone for a while now and figured your boyfriend would be some good company. He entered through your bedroom window right as you were coming back from the kitchen with a snack.

"Oh, hey!"

Leo walked to you quickly as he spoke, "What happened to you?"

You were quick to respond as he looked like he wanted to continue his questioning.

"I was just reckless with some friends a little while back, nothing to worry about." You smiled up at him hoping to distract Leo from your injury.

"If your hurt that bad you shouldn't be standing up come on."

He led you back to your bed and laid you down while he placed your snack on your nightstand.

"Leo please, the doctor said I'm fine to walk as long as I'm careful and use the walker."

"Just because you can walk doesn't mean it's good for you to be walking around."

"Oh, so your a doctor now?" You snarked jokingly.

"Y/n." Leo looked at you as to say, don't push it you know I'm right. You thought it was sweet how much he cared but you've been 'resting' for weeks. Your allowed to walk to the kitchen. And you told him so.

"PUH-leeeease, I'm so tired of laying in my bed and doing nothing. I want to walk around at least a little bit."

Leo sighed, "I-I don't know y/n, your hurt-"

"Leo, how bout' you walk with me to make sure nothing goes wrong? I get to do something and you get to mother me. Everybody's happy!"

"I'm not mothering you." Leo retorted while folding his arms like a pouty toddler.

"Of course not." You smiled back at him. He looked back at you and sighed, he then went and held your hand for a little bit. Maybe you you could walk around, just a little bit, with his help.

Chapter 7: Weak in the Knees (Rise Leo x gn reader)

Summary:

How easily can you persuade them using your irresistible charm??

Chapter Text

-Remember how Donnie had a line? Yeah, no Leo doesn't have that.
-Due to this, and his already mischievous nature, you can already get him to do pretty much anything just by asking.
-However he does have a responsible mood. If he's in that mood nothing will work.
-you know what I mean. Like how he acts in the movie while their driving in the turtle tank?
-like that, just without the internal and external issues clouding his judgment.
-It's s not a bad mood, it's just not good for getting what you want.
-Lucky for you he's not usually in that mood, and if he is it's usually not so bad that you can't bring I'm out of it.
-That being said Leo, like the rest of his brothers, needs praise so badly that it's kinda sad.
-Any praise will work but if you want him to do something absolutely idiotic to the point that even he thinks so? Your gonna need to make him feel ✨special✨
-Your gonna need to pull out the my man, my champion, special man, and perfect baby.
-Names like that, that make him feel like a million bucks.
-If he's showing off to you, one compliment will butter that sucker up like you wouldn't believe.
-He would literally do anything for you, it's not even funny, bro has no standards.

"Y/n! Hey! Hey! Y/n look! Look at this sick trick!" Leo called to you from atop their indoor skating ramp. You were on the floor below talking with April while Leo skated.

"Okay sweets I'm watching!" You call back to give him the go ahead.

With that Leo was off down the ramp. As he came up the other side and was propelled in the air he flipped the skateboard from beneath him and then landed perfectly on top as gravity pulled them back to the surface. When he came back up the other side Leo jumped off the board and looked down at you with a big grin on his face.

You and April clapped and he came down to meet you.

"What did you think??"

"I think that was awesome. Your my talented man for sure," you told him sweetly as you kissed him on the cheek. Leo blushed slightly at this before puffing his chest out and holding his skateboard all cool guy like at his hip. He used his other hand to point at himself with his thumb.

"Well not everyone can be as skilled as ah-THIS!" He boasted while punctuating his sentence with a dab.

"Okay, Mr. Talented," April teased, "If your done I'd like to tell you the reason I stopped by today."

"What?" Leo said with fake shock, "You visited for a different reason other than admiring my rad skills?"

"Impossible I know," she snarked to play along with him.

"So what's up April?" You asked.

"I was working my new job as a part time graveyard day guard and I saw this totally creepy and totally abandoned house right outside my post!"

"April if you're about to tell us you saw a ghost," Leo told her.

"No! But I DID want to find out if there COULD be ghosts in there."

"Why are you telling us this?" You ask.

"Because, I'm not gonna trespass on abandoned property by myself. That's just asking to be kidnapped," she answered while folding her arms.

"I don't know April, I better stay here and keep practicing my skating skillzz, right y/n?" Leo said.

"Well I think it sounds cool April! I'd be so down to go with you!"

"Heck yeah! Girls trip!"

You two high fived and right as you hands made contact Leo popped up in-between the both of you and clasped yours and April's hands together with his own.

"Though I suppose it would be unbecoming of me to not do my chivalrous duty to you both and tag along as a safety precaution."

April looked unimpressed at Leo's forced attempt to be cool in front of you whilst also begging for your attention. As you and April let your hands down Leo's went with them and you took his empty palm in yours shooting him a soft smile.

"So what time did you have in mind?"

"Oh, I was thinking like right now if y'all aren't busy," April told you.

"Sounds good to me, come on Leon!" You said as you dragged Leo to the Lair exit.

-

upon getting to the building it was abundantly clear that it was very abandoned and very illegal to trespass. A rusted chain link fence surrounded the building with warning signs plastered all around it. Though, it was to dark to clearly read them without a flashlight.

"Uhh, guys?" Leo started, "Are you sure we should go in there? There are way too many signs around this place for them all to be just 'no trespassing' signs,"

"Do I hear someone who is scaaaaared?" Teased April. This prompted an offended gasp from Leo who put a hand to his chest.

"SCARED?! HA! I'll show you who's scared," he snarked at her before opening a portal to bypass the fence straight to the front door. He gestures for you and April to enter first. Before you followed April in you turned to Leo.

"Everything will be fine, and if something does go wrong I know you could bail us out," you smiled sweetly at him and then stepped into the portal. Leo straightened up and blushed, then sauntered confidently through the portal after you. It felt good to know you trusted him so much.

As all three of you stood at the front door you heard the sounds of the house creaking on the inside. The old wood constantly fighting to stay upright. April pushed open the door with a loud creak and shinned her light into the entry. It was dark and messy. A brownish carpet greeted you along with a broken sidebar cabinet. stairs leading up to the second floor were covered in dirt and old enough to be one big splinter. Next to the stairs was an entrance to a different room. There were also different rooms on either side of you as well. As you all shines your lights to get a better look you could see the dust particles littering the air.

"I'm gonna go investigate upstairs!" April told you before disappearing to the second floor. Leo had gravitates towards the right side entryway before turning to you and gesturing for you to follow him.

"I think this is the kitchen," he said, turning his head back. You filled him as you both inspected the room. You broke looked around and noticed some light scratching sounds coming from what you assumed to be the pantry. As you opened the door the smell of rotten food and crap hit your face and you immediately gagged. You plugged your nose with your hand and you used the other to direct the flashlight. You didn't look around for long though as you saw a small, fast moving figure rush past your foot. You let out a short yelp as you stumbled backwards and out of the pantry slamming the door shut.

In an instant Leo was by your side.

"What?! What happened?! Are you okay?!" he gave you a once over looking for any injuries you could have procured.

"Yes! Yes," you sighed out patting his shoulder, "I'm okay, just a... rat. Or something,"

"Okay. Umm, just stick close to me for now ok?" He asked you. He was clearly a little nervous, about what exactly though you couldn't say. He grabbed your hand as you both made your way out of the kitchen.

"You've been hearing those sounds too right?" He asks as he turns to you. You both stop under the archway separating the kitchen and the entryway.

"W- what sounds?" This was, admittedly, making you a little nervous yourself now.

"The scratching. Like something's in the walls," he said in a hushed voice as he squoze your hand. You didn't at first but as you sat and listened, sure enough. Scratching. Or... Scurrying? It wasn't consistent but it happened often enough.

"Yeah," you answered in the same muted tone.

"I think we should leave," Leo told you, "Whatever this houses issue is it's not gonna be ours. Let's grab April and VAMINOS."

Before you two could take more that a step up the stairs you hear a loud crash and the house starts to rumble. April begins to scream and you can hear her rushed footsteps against the floor and as you both try to find her you ended meeting her at the top of the stairs.

"RUUUUN!! GO GO GO!" she yelled at you. She pushed you both aside and grabbed Leo by his mask tails to pull him along. Before you two started running though, you see what April was running from. I giant hoard of mutant silverfish. They took up the entire hallway from floor to ceiling and they did NOT look happy.

As Leo was being tugged along by April you were tugged by Leo who still hadn't let go of your hand. In trying to position his body to run forward easier and April still holding on to his mask tails, it ended up turning his mask on backwards and obscuring his view. As all three of you exited the house Leo tripped out the door on top of April causing you to fall on top of him.

"LEO PORTAL! PORTAL NOW!" April yelled at him.

"I CAN'T FIND MY SWORD!" he told her frantically trying to fix his mask so he could see.

"HERE TAKE IT!" you said handing it to him. The silver fish where almost in top of you by the time Leo took the sword in his hands. With a swift swing of his sword the portal was opened and all three of you stumbled through it closing right as the silverfish burst out the door.

All three of you lay on the ground between where the two skate ramps met, panting and trying to gather yourselves.

"Everyone okay?" April asked out of breath.

"Yeah," you breathed out.

"All good here," Leo puffed.

"Great..." April sat up sluggishly, "I'm gonna head out then, see ya."

And with that she stood up and left the lair. You both waved her off best you could from the ground. You both just laid there for a while catching your breaths.

"Let's never do that again," Leo said after a while.

"I don't know, I kinda had fun," you told him.

"You have got to be kidding me," he looked over at you unimpressed.

"Ya know... I saw this abandoned processing plant a couple days ago," you said turning your head to look back at him.

"Y/n. We almost died."

"And now we know to be prepared for hoards of mutant silverfish," you looked at him, "Please?"

"Uuugggg. FINE. But not for a while, I need a break from whatever the heck today was," he told you.

"Sounds good to me!" You chirped and cuddled into his side.

"Yeah yeah," he playfully rolled his eyes and wrapped a lazy arm around you.
