Chapter Text

Apokolips, DC Universe

Darkseid, the dark lord of the planet Apokolips, stands on the balcony of his palace, surveying his empire. Within his field of vision are his fearsome slave camps, his Para-Demon training areas, and the infamous pits of fire. For many tyrants, something on this scale would be more than enough, but it doesn't even come close to satisfying the great Darkseid.

Suddenly, Dessad, advisor and one of Darkseid's most loyal servants, appears.

Dessad: Sir, energetic emanations of transdimensional teleportation have been detected heading this way.

Darkseid: Has the Highfather finally decided to take the initiative and begin the battle that will end all others? (Darkseid pauses for a moment to consider the best course of action) Prepare the armies.

A portal opens seconds after Darkseid finishes his sentence. From it emerges a ship familiar to DC readers and those from the previous story: Brainiac's ship. The ship emerges from the portal somewhat damaged and crashes out of control on Apokolips, destroying some structures and killing some slaves.

Darkseid is surprised to be wrong, but shows no emotion.

Darkseid: Send Kalibak and a squad to investigate the ship and bring me the crew alive for questioning.

In front of Brainiac's ship

Kalibak arrives in front of the ship's damaged main gate with his squad of Parademons and orders them inside.

Kalibak: Get in, you vermin, for the glory of Darkseid.

They enter a corridor, and at some point, one of the Parademons passes through a laser beam, activating Brainiac's defense drones, which rush toward them, ready to do everything possible to destroy the invaders.

Kalibak (to the Parademon who triggered the trap): YOU IDIOT!!!!

After the scream, Kalibak, furious, grabs the trigger and hurls it toward the army. His strength is so great that several of Brainiac's soldiers are destroyed with this single blow.

Kalibak: Bring it on. (He then turns to the Parademons) FOR DARKSEID!!!!!

The Parademons, now motivated, and Kalibak charge into battle. The Parademons begin shooting at Brainiac's drones. Kalibak goes in for a physical attack, destroying them with his bare hands. Braniac's drones use a rope with a knife tip to strike the Parademons' skulls, causing losses for Darkseid's army. When they do this, Kalibak grabs the rope and pulls the drones to destroy them with his fists. The battle is fierce for both sides, but thanks to Kalibak's presence, Darkseid's side emerges victorious. On Brainiac's side, only the torso and head of a drone remain. Kalibak walks past him and crushes his head with his foot in contempt.

Kalibak advances to the central room where the drones came from and finds the Braniac cocoon lying there, bleeding inside.

Kalibak: So you're the one who caused all this.

Kalibak destroys the cocoon and takes the inert body of the World Collector to his father's palace.

Darkseid's Torture Room

Braniac lies on a torture table, with plugs plugged into his head, and beside him are Granny Goodness and Dessad.

Braniac: The Collection must be restricted. No information will be shared.

Dessad: We'll see about that.

Through the plugs, they pass an extremely powerful electrical current directly to Braniac's brain, causing enormous pain.

Granny Goodness: Honey, don't you want to tell Granny how you ended up here?

Braniac: The Collection must be restricted. No information will be shared.

Dessad electrocutes him again.

Grandma Goodness: Are you sure you don't want to tell Granny?

Brainiac's answer remains the same, but everyone has their limits, even someone who's part machine. So, after hours of being electrocuted, Brainiac finally gives in.

Brainiac (stuttering): Another universe... Mighty Warriors...Cell...Superman.

Brainiac's eyes turn black and he goes inert.

Darkseid, who is in his palace watching this entire scene through a monitor, makes a thoughtful gesture.

Darkseid (thinking): Interesting. A universe I've never invaded and that seems to have beings of interest to my army.

Darkseid rises from his throne and activates his communication channels to speak to the entire planet.

Darkseid: DESSAD, ACCESS THE COMPUTER ON HIS SHIP AND FIND THIS UNIVERSE. KALIBAK PREPARE OUR ARMIES. WE WILL CONQUER!!!!!

Darkseid's soldiers shout a salute.

Desert, DB Universe

The desert, a typically silent and calm area, but this small state is about to be changed by the four people there: Goku and Vegeta on one side and Piccolo and Gohan on the other.

Vegeta: Can you explain again why we're doing this, Kakarot?

Goku (stretching for battle): We need to learn to fight together so we can stop threats faster and with less destruction, especially after this fight against Frieza.

Vegeta: I prefer to fight alone!

Goku: Me too, but let's not forget what Whiz said and that you let the Earth be destroyed in your fight against Frieza.

Vegeta is frustrated, reminded of his great failure and that it was Goku who saved the Earth again, but he says nothing.

About a kilometer away, Piccolo and Gohan are also preparing for training.

Piccolo: Are you ready, Gohan?

Gohan: I am, Mr. Piccolo.

Goku: Ready, Vegeta?

Vegeta just stares straight ahead and doesn't respond.

Goku (shouting): We're ready, Piccolo!!!

No sooner are the words spoken than the four charge into battle. Goku charges at Piccolo first, and Vegeta goes after Gohan. The battle between Piccolo and Goku begins with punches and kicks coming from Goku, some of which are parried by Piccolo, who, at a disadvantage, can't find an opening to attack him. At one point, Piccolo manages to push Goku back. Gohan notices this and, with the instant transmission during his fight that he was also losing to Vegeta, appears behind Goku.

Vegeta: WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING? COME BACK HERE, GOHAN!

Goku's son attempts a two-handed downward attack on his father, but Goku notices him and dodges his attack. By doing so, he opened his guard for Piccolo, who delivered a powerful punch to his stomach, followed by an energy blast from the same hand that sent Goku to the ground, immobilized.

Vegeta, seeing his rival's defeat, unleashed a Big Bang attack toward Gohan, but Piccolo used his clone ability and created 10, placing one of them to intercept the attack. Piccolo sent the rest of his clones toward the Saiyan, while Gohan, unnoticed, raised his ki. Vegeta used an energy blast to destroy seven of the clones, while the remaining three rushed toward him and surrounded him. Vegeta easily dodged the attacks and landed several punches on the three. Suddenly, all three disappeared.

Gohan: KAMEHAMEHA!!!

Vegeta was startled but managed to prepare another Big Bang attack in time. The energy blasts collided, and an Energy Clash began. The Saiyan Prince smiled and looked at Goku, who was still crouched down, watching the fight.

Vegeta: See, Kakarot? I work much better alone, especially since you left the battle, the tables have turned. Now I'm about to win this fight!

Goku removes his hand from his stomach, stands up, and smiles as he looks at Vegeta. He, not understanding anything, gives his signature "hump" and returns his serious gaze to the fight. Vegeta increases the power of his blast, causing his attack to quickly head toward Gohan.

Piccolo: SPECIAL BEAM CANNON!!!

Vegeta: WHAT?!

Vegeta uses his other hand to enter an Energy Clash with Piccolo as well, and looks at him in shock. He can't believe it: he's completely forgotten about him and given him enough time to prepare his most powerful ability.

Vegeta (thinking): Gohan's Kamehameha was just a distraction so Piccolo would have even more time to increase the power of his attack! How did I not see that?!

Vegeta also remembers that he spent a good portion of his ki on the Namekian clones and, mainly, preparing his sudden attack against Gohan's powerful attack.

Piccolo and Gohan's attacks quickly head towards Vegeta, who, due to a lack of ki, couldn't withstand the attacks from both directions for long. He takes the explosive, high-powered counterattack and falls to the ground like Goku.

Goku (with that playful intonation): What's up, Vegeta? What happened? Didn't you turn the tables? Hahahahaha!

Vegeta (as Goku laughs at him): Ugh... Kakaro-

Piccolo, arms crossed (as always), interrupts the two:

Piccolo: You vastly underestimate your opponents. Note that you didn't bother to build up your ki at any point in the battle, allowing us to gradually deplete you with successive attacks. Besides, if you'd worked as a team like Whis so often suggests, you would have easily defeated us, even without raising your ki. Strategy is much more important than power, don't forget that!

Goku: Impressive... I didn't realize my ki was so low. (He turns to Vegeta) Hey, Vegeta, let's try to cooperate more this time!

Vegeta (transforms into a Super Saiyan): No! I just need to raise my ki and this time I'll beat them both!

Goku: C'mon... you've already forgotten the rules, haven't you? We have to defeat them without transforming, remember? I even deactivated my god essence for this cooperative fight!

The four warriors prepare for another round when suddenly they hear a noise and a boom tube opens. From it, dozens of Para-Demons emerge, firing lasers.

Goku (seriously): What is that?

Piccolo (with an angry look): It's not good, be careful!

As the warriors look at the Para-Demons, Vegeta flies upward and unleashes a big bang attack, killing several enemies, creating smoke.

Vegeta: Pff, they were just a few weak invaders... Nothing the Prince of Saiyans' quick movements couldn't handle. Now, let's get back to training, because as you saw, I'm much more powerful with my increased ki!

The smoke disappears, revealing that all Vegeta destroyed was 1% of Darkseid's army.

For Demons: By Darkseid.

They advance against the Z fighters. Goku and Gohan become Super Saiyans, and the three (Goku, Gohan, and Piccolo) take flight to meet Vegeta on the battlefield.

Goku practically punches and kicks the enemies and finally unleashes a massive kamehameha that kills several. Vegeta sees Goku's kamehameha and, out of jealousy, unleashes a Big Bang Attack larger and more powerful than his "partner's" attack. Goku sees Vegeta's blow.

Goku (thinking): So this is a competition?

Goku unleashes several ki blasts, flaunting his massive ki and destroying several enemies. Vegeta also begins throwing several ki blasts and performing various melee attacks, blowing up several of the aliens.

Meanwhile, Piccolo and Gohan are also dispatching the monsters, but cooperatively. They are back to back. Gohan hits one, throws another to Piccolo, who catches it and throws it at another. They work very well as a team. In the end, Piccolo and Gohan use the Masenko together, destroying several enemies.

The Parademons, realizing their opponents' skill, gather in a circle and begin shooting at the four. They put up some resistance, but soon fall (still awake).

The four heroes are on the ground with an entire army bearing down on them, when suddenly, a yellow circle forms around the monsters and squeezes them until they explode.

They look up and see Gotenks, Krillin, Yamcha, and Tien arriving.

Gotenks: Great-grandfather! Gotenks has arrived to save you all.

Most of the monsters rush towards the Warriors who have arrived.

Vegeta looks at Goku.

Vegeta: Kakarot. I have a plan to defeat these worms, but I need you to protect me for a while.

Goku looks confused, considering his anti-team attitude from a few minutes earlier, but then nods seriously.

Vegeta flies high into the air and begins preparing what appears to be the Final Flash.

The monsters see him and attack him, but Goku, Piccolo, and Gohan are faster and defend him. They fight until, at one point, they sense the Ki and get out of the way.

Vegeta transforms into a SSJGB.

Vegeta: Hahaha! Get a taste of my newest move!

The Z Fighters look at Vegeta with astonished expressions, thinking, "New move?"

Vegeta: FINAL FLASH 100 TIMES!!!

All Vegeta sees is a bright explosion, and as soon as it disappears, only Goku is standing, but badly injured, and everyone else is down. It seems he couldn't control the blow as he thought he would, and as soon as he realizes this, he passes out from the sheer amount of ki he's used up.

A boom tube opens in front of Goku, and Darkseid emerges. He looks around, satisfied with the destruction his army has caused.

Goku (thinking): His ki is on par with Beerus's!!!!

Goku, even knowing the extent of his injuries, charges at Darkseid and punches him in the face, which the lord of Apokolips doesn't even bother to dodge.

Darkseid: Pathetic.

Darkseid doesn't move and throws a punch that sends Goku flying. Goku charges at him again and punches him several times. Darkseid doesn't move. The Saiyan teleports to his back and unleashes a kamehameha. Darkseid doesn't feel it. Darkseid's eyes glow red and he unleashes Omega Beams. Goku tries to fly away, but the beams follow him in every direction. The declining speed of his flight, due to his low ki, ends up proving Darkseid's greatest advantage over Kakarot, and the Omega Beams end up hitting the hero. The pain is extreme, and he passes out almost immediately after receiving the blow.

Darkseid smiles.

Apokolips:

Darkseid passes through a corridor to the war strategy room in his palace and, in his peripheral vision, sees the Z Fighters lying on stretchers identical to the one Brainiac was on a few days earlier, being tortured/brainwashed in the same manner, but this time with the goal of making them loyal to the Lord of Apokolips.

Arriving at his destination, Darkseid finds his greatest generals (Kalibak and Steppenwolf) analyzing a three-dimensional map of Earth, until they both see him and kneel. This extreme respect, born of fear, was something Darkseid would never tire of.

Darkseid: Rise and prepare, for in a few hours I will finally have my revenge on the only planet that has ever defeated me.

METROPOLIS:

It's a quiet morning in the city of tomorrow: Children are at school, parents are at work, and grandparents are strolling in the park or sitting on a bench reading a newly purchased issue of the Daily Planet. But nothing lasts forever, especially in a city like Metropolis, and the calm is soon shattered by an armored car speeding through the city, pursued by the police and destroying everything in its path like a maddened rhinoceros. Inside the stolen vehicle are four men, all hooded and surrounded by bags of cash they've just stolen from the First Metropolitan Bank.

Bandit 1: Are they still after us?

The man next to him (Bandit 2) sticks his head out the window, looks back, and then returns to his original position, a worried expression beneath his mask.

Bandit 2: No, but... he's here!

Bandit 1: Damn! I thought he was out of town.

He opens a small window behind him, connecting the driver's cabin to the cargo area of ​​the vehicle, where the other two gang members are located.

Bandit 1: Shoot him!

The two henchmen open the back door and begin firing, but the bullets do nothing but ricochet off the skin of the gang's pursuer: Superman. Fearing the bullets might hit innocent civilians, the last Kryptonian advances to the armored truck, digs his fingers into the rear of the vehicle, and lifts it off the ground so that the front bumper points toward the street, sending Bandits 3 and 4 straight into the wall separating them from Bandits 1 and 2. Superman drives the armored truck to the police station, where several officers arrest the robbers as soon as the hero sets down his cargo. A policewoman emerges from the building, shortly after the officers enter carrying the prisoners, and runs toward Superman, who is already preparing to fly away.

Police Officer: Thanks for picking up the trash, Super.

Superman: You're welcome, officer.

Suddenly, as if by some act of God, the calm had been permanently banished from the city, a boom tube opens in the sky, and several Parademons emerge.

Superman: Have the patrol officers escort the civilians to safety.

Police Officer: You're welcome.

The police officer rushes in to explain what's happening to her colleagues and take the necessary action to contain the problem, and Superman takes flight. The Man of Steel flies close to the army and uses his heat vision extensively, knocking down several of the Parademons. The monsters begin shooting at Superman, and he shields himself with his arms, feeling somewhat cornered. He then uses his freezing breath and freezes several of those in front of him. Suddenly, another boom tube, and from this, another army of Parademons appears behind the hero of Metropolis. He turns and claps his hands, sending them away. Then, a shadow appears above him: the shadow of a gigantic Parademon, which falls on top of Superman. As he falls, the monster punches him in the face, and when he reaches the end, a large crater forms. The monster continues punching Superman in the face until he catches one of the punches and throws the monster away. He gets up and receives a telepathic message from Ajax, the Martian Manhunter.

Ajax: The Tower is detecting pandimensional readings in Metropolis. What's going on?

Superman: An invasion from Apokolips, but so far only the Parademons have appeared.

Ajax: I'll send reinforcements.

The larger Parademon rushes toward Superman and is met with a punch to the ribcage, one to the stomach, and another to the jaw, sending him flying upward. He falls unconscious.

Suddenly, a flash appears in front of Superman. From it emerge Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, and the Martian Manhunter.

Batman: Here's the plan: Flash, Wonder Woman, and I will take care of the ground troops. Superman and Green Lantern will take care of the airborne troops, and Martian Manhunter will provide psychic cover and alert us if there are any changes.

Superman, Green Lantern, Ajax, and Wonder Woman take flight. Flash runs off, and so does Batman.

The heroes split up, each heading off to their own battle. Flash runs around, hitting the Parademons with a million punches, making a few jokes that aren't understood by his adversaries.

Flash: Tough crowd.

Wonder Woman cuts off the head of one of them while using one of her bracelets to protect herself from a laser blast. Batman delivers a flying kick to the face of one of the Parademons and unleashes a batarang on another, while everything is clouded by his smoke bombs. Green Lantern creates a giant turret and fires at Darkseid's minions. Martian Manhunter sits there giving the League members advice on how to defeat their enemies. Superman throws a punch that sends one of the large Parademons flying, knocking down several others.

Finally, Darkseid's forces seem to be over, and the heroes breathe a sigh of relief, except for Batman, who, in his eternal paranoia, promptly pulls a pandimensional particle detector from his utility belt, alerting him to the imminent arrival of another Boom Tube.

Batman: It's not over yet.

As soon as the words leave Batman's mouth, another Boom Tube appears, and from it emerge Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Gohan, Gotenks, and Tien, wearing clothing different from their traditional ones, particularly darker ones with the Omega symbol on their chests.

Superman approaches.

Superman: Goku?! What are you doing here?

Goku punches Superman in the jaw, sending him flying across the city.

Goku: Choose your opponents, but the Kryptonian is mine. All hail Darkseid.

All in chorus: All hail Darkseid.

The warriors split up.

Chapter Text

Standing above the Daily Planet's famous globe, Martian Manhunter mentally coordinates his teammates in the current battle, already preparing to sever the neural link, as only a few enemies remain, the latter in the sky and held by Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern. Suddenly, he "hears" a thought from Superman:

"Goku, how is that possible?"

Before he can do anything, his thought is cut short by a punch from below, sending him flying back a few meters, but not enough for him to fall off the globe. He opens his eyes and starts searching for the owner of that hand, but he can't find it. Microseconds later, he is struck by a kick to the back of the head, knocking him off the globe and onto the Daily Planet's terrace.

He looks up and sees an alien of a race he'd never seen before. He's green, like J'onn, and has pointy ears, two antennae on his forehead, and a black suit with a red omega on his chest: his name is Piccolo. The Namekian descends from his position and tries to punch his opponent, but the Martian Manhunter becomes intangible at the last moment. Piccolo continues to strike J'onn, but instead of retaliating, he decides the best option is to telepathically erase him. However, upon entering his opponent's mind, he senses something strange.

J'onn: "Wait, you're being controlled by Darkseid, please let me help you," he pleads, trying to contact the man he knows Piccolo was.

Piccolo: Get out of my mind, Martian!

After this scream, Piccolo uses his telepathy to block access to his mind, stunning his enemy. He takes the opportunity to deliver a punch so powerful to the stomach that it drops his opponent to his knees, hands on the ground, spitting blood. J'onn ponders for a few seconds. He sees that the whole situation can be resolved peacefully by reversing the brainwashing Piccolo and his companions suffered, but first, he knows, he must take down his enemy. He then rises with exceptional speed, both fists raised, striking his opponent's chin like sledgehammers, staggering him backward. He then launches a barrage of punches. At first, the Namekian merely takes the blows, but then he manages to defend himself and even launch counterattacks, which are intercepted by the Martian Manhunter, creating a stalemate that is only broken when Piccolo releases some of his inner energy, sending J'onn back a few meters, giving him space to make his next move. He puts his fingers to his forehead and begins to gather some ki at the tips of them. Normally, he would use all his energy, but it's clear there's no time for that now. He points his index and middle fingers at his opponent.

Piccolo: Mekankosappo!

A "bar" of energy shoots from his fingers straight into J'onn's chest, sending him flying out of the building. Piccolo pauses for a few seconds to regenerate his injuries, but suddenly the Martian Manhunter emerges intangible from the ground, rising to his height. He then transforms into a half-lizard, half-gorilla creature, lifts him off the ground, and throws him across the city. J'onn reverts to his normal form and promptly flies off to where his enemy has fallen.

Chapter Text

Hal Jordan stands in the skies above Metropolis, clutching a mini-gum-shaped construct, which he uses to shoot at the few remaining Parademons. After defeating the ones in front of him, one of the larger ones appears behind him and tries to strike him, but a wall of green bricks appears, blocking the blow, and then transforms into a giant baseball bat that hits him, sending him straight to the ground.

Hal: Next?

Suddenly, he receives a powerful energy blast that sends him downward, but he manages to stop his fall and floats back up. Green Lantern looks up and sees a bald, three-eyed man wearing black clothing with an omega on his chest, making a triangle symbol with his hands: Tien.

Tien uses the Instant Transmission technique and, in the blink of an eye, is in front of the Emerald Gladiator, punching him in the jaw. He then continues using this strategy, moving at lightning speed to confuse his opponent and each time striking a different part of his enemy's body. After a few seconds, Jordan is completely injured and out of breath, as if any strong enough blow would be enough to knock him out. Tien pauses for a moment, preparing his final blow.

Tien: You're a waste of oxygen, you weren't even a match for me.

Green Lantern: Actually, I'm just using an old trick called playing dead—he smiles. "Idiot."

GL forms a giant boxing glove of emerald energy and punches Tenshihan, sending him flying.

Green Lantern: You really should have gone after Batman.

He charges toward his enemy, and the battle continues.

Chapter Text

Diana is cutting off a Parademon's head with her sword. She looks back and sees one of the big ones heading toward her. She takes flight and plunges her sword straight into the creature's chest, knocking them both to the ground. She stands up, and the Parademons are surrounding her. Gohan appears using instant transmission. The Parademons back away.

Wonder Woman sees this stranger in front of her, grabs her sword, and points it at his throat.

Wonder Woman: You're new.

Diana goes to swing at her opponent, but in a swift movement, Gohan dodges the sword and punches Diana in the face, sending her flying into the wall of a nearby building. Diana, still in the rubble of the wall, places her hand on her jaw as if it hurt.

Wonder Woman: Good punch.

Gohan moves at super speed toward her. She stands up and throws a punch, which is caught. He throws a punch, but she ducks and counters with a punch to his stomach. Disoriented, she lands a strong kick to his stomach, forcing him forward. She elbows him in the back of the neck, and he falls to the ground. He rises to his knees and screams, creating a small explosion of aura that knocks Wonder Woman back. He stands up and looks at her seriously.

Wonder Woman clashes her bracelets, generating a sonic pulse that sends Gohan flying, despite him blocking the blow, adopting a similar stance to Diana. He then responds with a powerful Kamehameha. When the blow ends, there is only smoke, but when it dissipates, Wonder Woman, with her bracelets crossed, is seen by her opponent. She uncrosses her arms.

Wonder Woman (smiling): This is going to be fun.

She charges in.

Chapter Text

Flash is running, hitting every remaining Parademon with hundreds of punches and moving on to the next, all within seconds. Suddenly, the ground explodes in front of him, forming a large hole. He manages to stop before falling in.

He then looks ahead and sees Gotenks with a psychopathic grin and his hand outstretched (still smoking).

Flash runs in the opposite direction, and Gotenks follows.

Flash: No matter how bizarre Darkseid's army seems, it always gets worse. First that monster Kalibak, then the Furies, now a psychopathic child. He really must have nothing to do all day but think of weird ways to kill us.

Gotenks keeps throwing energy balls at Flash, but this time he knows he's being attacked and dodges them all.

Flash (thinking): Okay, I can't keep running away all day. Time to put a plan into action.

Suddenly, Flash changes direction and runs toward Gotenks. The fusion of Goten and Trunks stops flying, somewhat confused, and floats. He then stops directly below his opponent. The two begin to look at each other (Gotenks looking down and Flash looking up).

Gotenks: What do you think you're doing, little redhead?

Flash smiles. He then begins to run in circles, forming a vortex of air around Gotenks. The fusion loses its breath due to the vortex and falls to the ground. He gets up and the first thing he sees is Flash running toward him (sometime between the creation of the vortex and Gotenks' fall, he stepped away to get some distance) with his hand vibrating. The scarlet speedster then punches him in the jaw with that hand. Gotenks goes flying.

Flash: That was actually easy.

He's about to leave when he suddenly sees the young Saiyan get up. His jaw is dislocated, but he fixes it with his hand and returns with his psychopath smile.

Flash: You've got to be kidding me.

Gotenks: I admit that hurt, but it's nothing compared to what I'm going to do to you.

Flash runs off in the opposite direction.

Gotenks: They always run away.

Gotenks heads off in the same direction, and the chase resumes.

Chapter Text

On the streets of Metropolis, Batman takes down two of the Parademons, who emerged from the same Boom Tube as the Z Fighters, punching them with shock gauntlets and knocking them unconscious. After the enemies are defeated, a glow appears from above and begins to grow, and Batman somersaults backward. The energy ball falls and explodes the ground near the Dark Knight. He looks up and sees Vegeta, the Prince of Saiyans, hovering in the sky. The High-Class Warrior slowly descends in front of Batman.

Vegeta: You're just a mere human (he smiles). You can't be stronger than Hercule himself.

As his opponent boasts of his strength, the Caped Crusader presses a small button on the palm of his right hand. Suddenly, two beams of light begin to illuminate Vegeta, and when he turns to see what it is, he's hit by a black car with a long hood and a turbine and fins on the back, sending him crashing into a building. Then, the Batmobile's roof lifts and moves forward, and Batman climbs into his vehicle and begins driving. Behind him, Vegeta stands up and sees the vehicle driving away.

Vegeta: I'M GOING TO KILL YOU FOR THIS, YOU DAMNED WORM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He takes off furiously and chases after the vehicle.

Inside the Batmobile, Batman clicks on a screen, and it lights up.

Computer: Bat-Computer Online.

Batman: Send the battle armor to these coordinates.

Computer: Sending.

Suddenly, the Batmobile shakes as it's hit by something.

Batman: Damage assessment.

Computer: Moderate damage to the rear.

Batman: Damn, I thought he'd stay down longer. Activate rear defenses.

Outside, a missile cannon rises and fires six missiles. Vegeta destroys some with energy blasts and dodges others. The ones he dodged return and hit him from behind, knocking him down.

Vegeta (fallen): YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS!!!!

He quickly rises and takes flight, arriving in front of the car in seconds. He climbs onto the hood and smiles. Batman, though worried, shows no emotion on his masked face. Vegeta then punches the hood, stopping the car, and then reaches through the window, pulling the bat by the neck.

Behind them, a capsule falls. Batman notices, but Vegeta is focused on slowly crushing its throat. Batman takes a flash bomb from his belt and throws it at the Saiyan Prince's face. His grip loosens slightly, and Batman delivers a double kick to the Saiyan's chin, forcing him to let go.

Batman runs to the capsule, but Vegeta walks slowly toward him, rubbing his eyes. Batman sees him and throws a smoke bomb at him.

Vegeta: These tricks of yours won't save you forever.

Suddenly, a fist pierces through the mist and punches him, sending him flying: it's Batman in his black armor with red accents: Hellbat.

Vegeta gets up from the punch and transforms into a Super Saiyan (screaming). Batman gives a "bring it on!" hand signal. The two run toward each other, and the battle resumes.

Chapter Text

Superman takes a powerful punch and steps back. In front of him stands Goku, looking somewhat serious but also a bit arrogant. Superman charges in, and the two begin fighting again.

The Man of Steel punches Goku in the face, which barely moves, and then punches him in the stomach, which Superman parries. Goku then punches him in the stomach, knocking the wind out of Superman, and then launches a series of blows at the same area, but Superman uses his super speed and manages to defend himself. Seeing the ruin of his strategy, Goku punches him in the right side of the face, sending him to his knees.

Goku looks down.

Goku: Are you holding back, Kryptonian? No, that's not how it's going to be. You're going to fight at your best, and I'm going to humiliate you.

He looks to the side and sees several civilians under a kind of bridge where the city's subway system runs.

Goku: Maybe you just need some encouragement.

He then forms two ki balls and fires them at the tracks/bridge. A piece of the bridge begins to fall.

Superman quickly gets up and lands a right hook that knocks Goku to the ground. He then takes flight and goes to hold the bridge seconds before it hits the civilians. He looks at the civilians.

Superman: Get out of here quickly. It's very dangerous.

After they leave, Superman lowers the bridge and looks back. Goku gets up and wipes some of the blood from his mouth.

Goku: It's better.

Superman: Goku, the last time I saw you, you helped me stop Brainiac, so I'm giving you a chance, but if you attack civilians, I'll be forced to stop you.

Goku: Bring it on.

Superman hesitates for a moment, but when Goku charges, he realizes there's no other way. He goes to fight.

Goku goes to throw a punch, but Superman catches it and starts throwing punches that would destroy mountains into his opponent's chest and stomach. But just as he's about to deliver another cross to the face, Goku teleports behind him and kicks him in the back of the head. Superman backs away, but when he gets up, he's met with several ki balls. Superman uses his heat vision and destroys them all in mid-air. Goku charges forward and throws a punch, which Superman blocks with his arms in a defensive position. Kakarot throws a kick to the opposite side, but Superman blocks with his other arm and responds with a punch that sends him flying. In mid-air, Goku teleports toward Superman and comes down to punch him, but the Man of Steel flies to the left, and Goku only hits the ground. Superman then lands a shot that sends his opponent flying, flies up, and hits him with a punch that sends him crashing to the ground, leaving a small crater. Superman goes down, and Goku gets up.

Goku (smiling): Hey, you're stronger than I thought you'd be, I guess I'll have to use my last transformation.

Goku strikes a ki concentration pose and starts screaming. He transforms into a new Super Saiyan form. One that doesn't change Son Goku's appearance much, but enhances his already-present evil air: Super Saiyan Omega.

Goku then flies toward Superman to attack. Superman prepares to defend, but Goku teleports behind him, grabs his cape, and throws him upward. Superman is a little confused when suddenly Goku teleports and punches him, then teleports and hits him with several blows. Superman closes his eyes and hears the sound of Goku's arrival. He grabs him by the neck, using his super speed, and throws him upward. He flies forward with both fists and hits his enemy in the stomach, sending him flying higher.

The two then stop for a moment and look at each other. Goku charges forward with a punch to the face. Superman retaliates with a punch to the side. Goku fires a small ki blast that sends the injured Superman staggering back. He uses his freezing breath, freezing his enemy. He quickly blasts the ice covering around him, screaming. In anger, he fires several energy balls at Superman, who dodges them all and approaches Goku, delivering one last uppercut that sends the Saiyan down a bit.

Goku: Enough of this.

He strikes the stance with his hands.

Goku: KAMEHAMEHA

The blue energy rushes toward Superman, who counters it with his heat vision. A battle ensues between the energies.

Goku: HAAAA

The blue energy begins to surge higher. Superman then increases his heat vision to a very high level. The red beam quickly overwhelms the blue.

Goku (with a red glow in front of him): What?

The heat vision hits him and sends him falling like a meteor into a small alley, forming a large crater. Superman descends. He gets up, but Superman holds him in a rear naked choke.

Superman: Goku, I've been through this before. Darkseid manipulated me once too and turned me against Earth. You have to fight!

Deep in his subconscious, Son Goku listens to his friend.

Chapter Text

In an empty, brown corridor stands a small boy with spiky black hair and a tail. Other than his name, Son Goku, he knows nothing about himself. He walks down this corridor and sees several paintings on the walls with blurry paintings, but whose shapes he recognizes from somewhere, or at least knows he should. He reaches the end of the corridor and finds a gigantic door that he opens.

In the next room, he finds a man very similar to himself, but with dark clothing, an Omega symbol on his chest, and an aura of evil surrounding him. He stands in front of a window showing himself fighting a man in a blue suit and a red cape. Kid Goku approaches and lightly tugs at the robe he's wearing.

Kid Goku: Hi, do you know where this is?

Super Saiyan Omega Goku turns around.

SSJO Goku: Interesting, you still exist here even after Granny Goodness's experiments.

Kid Goku is a little confused.

SSJO Goku: Now go back to the hole you came from, I don't have time to deal with you right now.

Kid Goku is a little nervous about the way his alter ego spoke to him and tries to hit him with the magic staff that was hanging on his back, but Evil Goku stops the attack by blocking it with his arm.

SSJO Goku: Insolent.

He backhands Goku, sending Kid Goku flying away. He gets up, badly injured, and then decides to return to where he came from, realizing there's no way to defeat his opponent. Suddenly, he hears Superman's voice saying, "You have to fight," and as a result, the images of the paintings return to his view, but this time clearly, and he realizes that each one is one of his greatest battles. After finishing viewing them, he returns to his adult form, remembering who he is. He gives a small smile and transforms into Super Saiyan Blue.

SSJO Goku turns and sees the real Goku. He makes a scared face. Goku charges at Goku, and the two begin to battle. First, Good Goku punches him in the face, which is met with a punch to the evil one's stomach, followed by an elbow to the good one's face. Good Goku's next punches land hard on the evil one (three in the stomach and two in a row in the face). He then gives Omega a stab in the throat, causing him to cough up blood. Enraged, the evil one punches Goku several times, but he doesn't flinch. The fight ends when Evil Goku throws a punch, which is caught by Good Goku. Good Goku smiles, and Evil Goku looks desperate and then evaporates. Goku looks at the window where Evil Goku was looking.

Metropolis:

Superman is still holding Goku when suddenly he starts screaming in pain. Superman releases him, and he falls to his knees on the ground. Suddenly, he stops screaming and stands up. He looks at his open hands, then closes them and looks at Superman.

Goku: It's good to be back. I feel stronger again! Thank you, Superman.

Superman: It's good to have you back.

Goku: Where are my friends?

Superman: Still under Darkseid's control, but I have an idea. Can you do that teleportation trick?

Goku: If I can sense someone's ki to focus...

Superman: Great. Hold on a moment.

Superman puts his hand to his ear and activates the communicator.

Superman: J'onn, are you there?

MM: Yes, but I'm a little busy.

Superman: Are you fighting one of the invaders?

MM: Yes.

Superman: Great, I have a plan to stop them, but for that I need you to tell me what he looks like.

MM: Green.

Superman: Goku, is one of your friends green?

Goku: Piccolo is very green.

Superman: Can you teleport us to where he is?

Goku: I can, just wait a moment.

Goku places his index and middle fingers on the center of his forehead and closes his eyes. Then suddenly he opens his eyes.

Goku: I found him. Hold on to me.

Superman puts his hand on Goku's shoulder and they disappear.

Elsewhere:

They reappear. The first thing they see is J'onn being thrown toward a wall by Piccolo. Superman goes to help his friend and tell him his plan, and Goku goes to fight his former enemy.

Piccolo is about to advance on the fallen Martian Manhunter. When suddenly, he gets kicked in the back of the head by Goku and falls to the ground. He gets up.

Piccolo: How dare you betray the great Darkseid?

Goku: Piccolo, calm down. As incredible as it may seem, I don't want to fight you right now.

Piccolo: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Piccolo runs toward Goku when suddenly Superman appears between them. Piccolo goes to throw a punch, but Superman catches him with one hand.

Superman: Goku, I need you to go talk to Martian Manhunter. I'll hold your friend.

Goku nods and flies toward J'onn. When he gets there, he looks down and sees Martian Manhunter looking at him. Goku jumps down.

MM: Goku, right? Superman told me his plan to return your friends to normal, but for that, I need to get inside your head.

Goku: What do you mean?!

MM: Telepathically, I mean. I'm going to create a telepathic channel between your mind and your friends'. But for this to work, I need you to remain calm.

Goku: Okay.

J'onn places his fingers on Goku's head.

Goku (communicating telepathically): Friends, this isn't you, this is Darkseid's control. You need to fight!!!!

Everyone starts to squirm and scream, and suddenly, they return to normal. The Justice League members stop, waiting for the moment to attack.

Superman (through communicator): Justice League, don't attack, they're friends. I repeat, they're friends.

We then see one of the Parademons flying and see Superman and Piccolo calm.

Parademon: The strangers are back to normal. Return to Apokolips!!!

All the Parademons enter through a boom tube.

In front of the Daily Planet:

The heroes are gathered in front of the building and Goku is telling them what happened.

Goku: ...and now we're here.

Gohan: Wait a minute, Dad, where are Yamcha and Krillin?

Batman: They must be being held captive by Darkseid on Apokolips.

Superman: Okay. Turn it on, let's go to Apokolips and rescue them.

Vegeta: We'll go with you. I have some business with Darkseid.

The Z Fighters nod: We'll save them too!

Superman: Okay, then we'll all go. (He activates his communicator) Watchtower, activate teleport to Apokolips.

Gotenks: Do you have a teleporter that takes you to other planets?

Flash: Cyborg built one before he returned to the Titans.

Gotenks: What's a Cyborg?

Unfortunately, for the fusion. There's no time to explain.

Piccolo: Before we go...

He then fires a beam at himself and the other Z Fighters, and they revert to their classic outfits.

Goku clenches his fists.

Goku: Much better.

Suddenly, the heroes begin to glow and disappear.
