Chapter Text
At the end of it all, Green rose.
He climbed through the knight's ranks until he stood at Dot's right hand. He put on a brave face. He didn't let anything get him down. He supported Dot as she took over more and more of her father's responsibilities. He went with her on political trips to form alliances. He watched as she put new laws in place. He helped as she started putting out search parties. He stayed right next to her as her father passed and she ascended to the throne.
At the end of it all, Green wouldn't fall.

At the end of it all, Blue fought.
She fought Vio, and couldn't stop them. She fought enemies threatening the villages. She fought the new recruits, trained them, made sure they wouldn't be the next to fall. Blue taught new guards to protect Dot, she taught them to help the innocent, she taught them how to be the best version of themselves.
Blue found herself praised as new recruits became guards became knights became captains became generals. She found herself called “the greatest teacher they could ask for”. She found herself begged by fathers to train their sons.
At the end of it all, Blue wouldn't stop.

At the end of it all, Red cried.
Red cried for those lost to Vaati's attacks. Red cried for those who survived, but were never the same. Red cried for relationships surrendered to the greater good, and Red cried for trust forever broken.
Then, Red fixed it.
Red traveled to meet with the refugees who'd lost their homes and found them a better place. Red visited Erune's village. The village he'd burnt down (although that wasn't his fault). He visited towns on the very edges of Hyrule, and he came back to castle town to work the forge.
He forged weapons, canes, and bits for prosthetics. He baked. He took control over the fire that had tried so hard to ruin him.
At the end of it all, Red could only smile.

At the end of it all, Vio ran.
They packed a bag, took a horse, and rode as far as they could go. When the horse could carry them no longer, they sent the tired mare back home and crossed the sea into a new land.
They found themself in a place where no one knew who they were. A place where the people knew nothing of Vaati, or Ganon, or Shadow, or the four heroes of Hyrule.
They found themself in land called Labrynna, ruled by King Kazoll and his daughter, Princess Eseim, and populated by the round-eared Labrynnans. They stuck out like a sore thumb with their pointed ears, but they coudln't find it in themselves to care.
At the end of it all, Vio didn't look back.
They couldn't.

At the end of it all, there were new beginnings.
At the end every journey, there was a new one.
And nearly exactly a year after the end of their adventure, a portal roared to life.
When one door closes, another opens, after all.
