Sixty had been shiny hunting for well over days now. Full odds and everything (since he couldn’t get the shiny charm for a completed pokedex).
The shiny he was going after? A shiny axew. Purely because he wanted to have bragging rights of having a shiny haxorus.
His friends wouldn’t get it, but it was cool enough to brag about.
He was currently hanging out with Dragon at his place, they were watching something but he wasn’t really paying attention. His eyes flicking between the tv in front of him and the DS he brought with him to continue his hunt.
Dragon leaned onto his shoulder, gazing at his screen. “Still no shiny?” he inquired.
Sixty nodded sadly.
“I’ve been hunting this thing for weeks and still nothing! I knew this stuff took time but..”
The boy against him gently took the DS from his hands, to which Sixty didn’t protest but watched curiously. Dragon thought about what he was going to say for a moment. “Do you think if I tried this I’d have better luck?”
“Probably.” Sixty smiled. “It’d be insane luck if you got it on your first- WHAT THE HELL”
Dragon looked back at Sixty, slowly handing the dumbfounded boy his DS back. “...dude. how. you dont even play pokemon.”
“...Beginners luck?” He smiled awkwardly.
It took Sixty a few minutes to get over his initial shock of the situation before he went to catch the sparkly pokemon on his screen.
Once he caught it he took a needed sigh of relief.
“Well…thanks I guess?” He awkwardly thanked his friend before promptly saving his game then closing the DS and setting it aside. It felt good not to have to worry about that anymore.
“I don’t think you’d have to thank me dude, I don't even play the game!”
“Well you should if you have that kind of luck...”
