Summary
Jason stood in front of the manor, arms wrapped around his torso, still shaking. Would they let him in if he just rung the bell? Did they even want him here?
He hurt them, tried to make Bruce kill the Joker, shot at Bruce.
Maybe they did. Maybe not. He couldn’t risk just asking, because if they sent him away, he couldn’t go anywhere else. He had nothing.
-
After the events of Under the Red Hood, Jason just disappears. But there is nowhere he feels safe. Maybe he could... in the manor...?Bruce is desperately searching his boy. He finds him in the most unlikely place.

Summary
Batman's first thought when Red Hood killed Penguin was that he needed to teach him a lesson. Red Hood would no longer be allowed to stay in Gotham. But then he witnessed the ship implode in on itself. Then he witnessed Red Hood get thrown from said ship before it could vanish. Then he heard his son's cry of pure agony.
Batman did not like killing. Would never allow it. But Batman was being trumped by Bruce Wayne in that moment, because the moment he turned around, all he could see was Jason. His son.
And Bruce was going to bring his son home.

Summary
Bruce was starting to understand the jokes about him and adopting strays. But it’s not like he ever went looking for kids to adopt. They just sort of… appeared.
Besides, the neighbor boy clearly had no one, and Bruce could not in good conscience let that assassin girl go back to parents who had treated her so badly.
If that meant Bruce adopted two more kids, so be it. It’s not like he didn’t have the room.

Summary
"Vampires need a coven!" Bruce said confidently.
Dick agreed. Vampires, especially when so young, needed a coven to protect them.
However, old age - or excessive exposure to Ivy's pollens - must have made Bruce's nose and eyes go haywire.
Because the little boy there was definitely not a vampire.
