Summary
Izuku arrives at school dazed, beaten up and broken. Aizawa takes him to Recovery Girl, then the hospital, then home.
Said home becomes Izuku's too, of course, because what's one more kid when you've already got two? And his Problem Child needs someone, anyone, who cares, who will accept him and love him.And so, over the course of several days Izuku is shown, again and again, that he is loved. That he is safe to love who he wants, to be nerdy and vulnerable and kind and simply himself in any measure he should choose. Now he has a family to show him that.

Putting a gentle hand on Izuku's shoulder, Eraser made sure to do it slowly and openly, giving plenty of opportunity for Midoriya to show any sign of refusal.

{Izuku’s phone rings in class. And again. A third time. Then a series of texts come through, the screen lighting up and bathing Aizawa-sensei’s annoyed glare in high contrast as he stalks down the aisle to pick up the device with a curl of capture weapon.
“Midoriya, tell them to wait,” he chides. But then Izuku takes the phone back and, even as he starts to type, another text comes through.
He throws his phone reflexively, shoulders hitching and expression oddly blank.
"Problem child, what the fuck."}
{Izuku has lived and loved and learnt the bite of flames. He knows that clutching on to the love of your most precious people has your fingertips blackening, numb, red and pink twisting freckles until they melt, and he knows that letting go isn’t an option.}
Izuku hasn't heard from his so-called father in years, and it's certainly for the better given that he was awful even when he was around. So getting incessantly called and texted by the man one day a few months after the Sports Festival? Well, it's certainly not something for him to celebrate.Quite the opposite, really.

Izuku twitches, resisting the urge to pick at skin and bones and the heart beneath. It's dark, and his Quirk is bright beneath his skin for all that he can't see it right now (he can feel it, like lightning arcing through his bones, a supernova between his marrow and flesh-), and he stares up at his ceiling, fighting for every breath.It hurts.

"Welcome home, Shou," he murmurs, glad when his husband is already shedding his boots and stepping up to his hands, slipping between the reaching arms."Mm. What's wrong?" Trust his Shouta to immediately pick up on Hizashi still being slightly unsettled. It's enough for the blond to be able to tighten his arms around his husband's waist, squeezing him close against the back of the sofa.
"Had a bad feeling. Thought it was you, but you're here now."
"Hn." Shouta pauses for a long second, leaning down to press a kiss to Hizashi's brow, unbearably tender despite the lingering scent of iron and sweat,
"Want to check on the kid?" Hizashi smiles again, oh-so soft,"Please."
