Summary
They hear about Technoblade in the news, on the new fancy radio that their neighbor owns. Phil listens close while hugging the both of them, and Wilbur frowns at the words in the air.
They say that the new avatar has been found. That he’s being kept safe and is being trained in a sacred temple so he can protect the world when he is older.
Wilbur thinks it’s bullshit. He says as such. Phil doesn’t even scold him, he just agrees. Tommy repeats him, and Phil laughs.
It’s the first time he’s laughed since Techno was taken.

Summary
“I would flip you off if you didn’t have me at knifepoint.”
Wilbur grins; Phil is starting to get the impression that he’s an unbearably friendly sort of person. This isn’t good for his whole situation (namely, the fact that he’s still not quite sure whether he sold his soul to a ghost or not).
or, the one where Phil asserts his property ownership rights, gains several unexpected roommates, and ends up stumbling headfirst into the world's oddest family.

Summary
The story does not truly start here.
No fairytales ever do– no, stories like these often begin in simpler places. Simpler stories, ones that belong to the people and not the kings. Stories that are told around campfires, told around the butter churn and whispered around hearths. Stories told to children as they’re tucked into bed, gentle warm hands soothing their brows and speaking with low tones as they relay the stories of grandeur and magic. Fairytales are often piled upon– one magic spell becomes two. A mother changes the prince’s name to her own dear son. Tommy was once told stories like these.

Summary
“Brilliant,” said Philza. “If everybody’s here, then.” He clicked a button on a small remote and a screen behind him slid out of the wall. “This is the target for the next job. Las Nevadas.” The screen behind him showed a brilliant neon-lit street backed with blocky non-descript buildings. “Gambling site, research site, and absolute fucking political powerhouse. Estimated take for this job is twelve point five million. Each.”
“So we’re hitting the casino?” Tubbo said, mouth full of cookie. “Fuck, too hot.”
“The casino isn’t where the money is,” Technoblade cut in. “The casino bankrolls the research arm, which is so valuable at this point that their security is probably better than the casino.”
“What we’re going after specifically is their latest development, a toy for the super-rich.” The display screens switched to show off a small gold figurine set with emeralds. “They market it as a ‘Totem of Undying’, and it’s the best medical assistance money can buy.”
Or: Everybody in this heist gets superpowers and competence, including (unfortunately) our antagonists.

Summary
The night Tommy disappeared, it went like this:
Tubbo screamed the words that became his goodbye. He can’t accept that Tommy is gone, because that would be accepting that the last words they exchanged were angry and intended to hurt. So he doesn’t accept it. He’ll search for years if he has to.
Techno let Tommy leave without so much as trying to stop him. He’s replayed the memory of that night and wished he’d done anything else, until he thinks the guilt might be enough to destroy him. He thinks he might already be on his way there.
And Quackity can’t help but feel like this is all just a bitter echo. This town is cursed, and Tommy is only its latest victim.

Summary
“Hey,” Wilbur says one day, midway through a stream-planning call. “I had an idea for a thing onstream.”
“Oh, really?” Tommy says, intrigued. “What is it?”
Wilbur hums. “Well,” he says. “So—there’s a lot of requests for, like, two-person games, but I wanted to make it more interesting, so I was thinking—like, I was thinking of ways we could make it more difficult, so how about this. What if you’re blindfolded”—yeah, that sounds epic—“and I’m drunk?”
Tommy stiffens.

Tommy is … not the biggest fan of alcohol. After Wilbur suggests a drunk stream, he’s forced to admit it.
