Summary
Straightening her collar a final time, Rumi walks up to the counter, opening her mouth to give a brief introduction and request for the manager to the barista manning it currently.
Her attempt is interrupted however, by the squeak of sneakers on the wooden floor below, the person wearing them coming to a stop so close to her their shoulder bumps into her. She stumbles on her feet, almost falling.
"Hey!" she yells, barely managing to catch herself on the counter. "Watch where you're going-" She's interrupted again. Only now it's because of the sheer amount of incredulity that runs through her as she registers the menace of a person that's standing next to her.
Why? Why must it be her?
