“I can’t feel my legs,” Coil whispered, voice trembling. “Skate, I can’t—what’s happening?”
“I don’t know,” Skate admitted, one hand hovering over Coil’s chest like he was afraid to touch him. “But you’re gonna be fine, okay? I got you. Just stay awake a little longer.”
Coil blinked up at him, eyes wide, sweat streaking his brow. “It’s not working,” he mumbled. “My gear isn't working.”

Coil is strong. He's never needed anybody but himself and a bit of elbow grease.
He's built to survive. Welded together, patched up with grit, hard work, and sheer will where the cracks showed. He doesn’t stumble. He never falls, and if he does, no one sees it.
That’s the rule.
So when the ground tears itself out from under him mid-race, when his legs stutter and fail and the sky tips sideways... he’s not sure what’s worse. The loss of everything that made him who he is, or the fact that Skate watched it happen.

When he wakes up and claws his way out of the water, the sun has set, and the lights of his house are on. He is cold and wet and his lungs burn.
But most of all, Tim is alone.

Batman and Robin have been facing off against some sort of meta criminal who can control bees.
