Summary
It’s a solid hour since the final bell rang to announce the end of the school day, and yet Eddie Munson is stuck waiting under the bleachers in the empty gym, hoping to snag a ride home with Gareth since his van chose that morning to crap out on him.
Still, it’s not all bad. He finally has a moment of privacy away from judgmental stares and scathing insults; a little bit of much needed peace and quiet.
That is, until the gym doors slam open and a panicked Steve Harrington is sprinting in, throwing himself under the bleachers and slamming into him like a 5’11” freight train of wiry muscle, expensive cologne, and perfect hair.

Scoops Ahoy.
America’s favorite place to cool down, and quite possibly the lamest summer job under the blazing Indiana sun.
Especially if you were former High School royalty, brutally rejected by each and every university you’d applied to and promptly cut off by your shitty parents in an effort to teach: “some goddamned responsibility.”
Between accidentally intercepted secret Russian communications, a meddling preteen matchmaker with no collarbones, and increased proximity with Eddie ‘The Freak’ Munson, a measly $3 an hour plus tips is nowhere near enough to deal.

The 5 times Steve wrecks Eddie so thoroughly that his eyeliner stains the pillow, and the 1 time Eddie applies it to Steve to return the favour.

Summary
“There should be at least one song out there that you both like.” Robin said, chipping off her already cracking maroon nail polish and dropping the pieces onto the carpet without a second glance. Eddie and Steve made eye contact, suddenly fierce. She looked up at their silence, and eyed their matching grins with growing concern.
“That sounds like a challenge, Buckley.”

Alternatively: A journey through Steve and Eddie's relationship, as told by their hatred of the other's music taste.

Summary
After seemingly defeating Vecna, those that forged into the depths of the Upside-Down are taken into the care of the government to be quarantined. But when Robin, Dustin, and Nancy are allowed to go home and reintegrate into society, Eddie Munson and Steve Harrington must stay behind as a result of their injuries. With nothing but a few books, some tapes, and a chalkboard in their respective “cells,” and no one but each other for company, these two forced acquaintances must find a way beyond their walls (both mental and cinder block) if they hope to find anything even close to comfort with the world they once knew kept far out of their reach.
