Although it is reassuring to see that Nathalie cares about Adrien's well-being more than his own father, she nevertheless remains in the image of her family name when Adrien and Gabriel are not concerned, Sancoeur = "Sans cœur" in french which means heartless

    And you're right about Nathalie still being too focused on the Agreste wellbeing, Gabriel's included, to consider that "the best path for everyone involved is be to give up on Gabe and his plans once and for all." I believe the canonical version of Nathalie in season 5 will probably be in this same state of mind, because if she really seems to have broken her alliance with Gabriel and seems to want to keep contact with the Agrestes only for Adrien's sake, nothing is really preventing her from denouncing her former boss to Ladybug or the police at this point, and thus sparing innocent lives from more torment. That's why although I like the complexity of Nathalie's character, she's really not the kind of person I would apprecite --'
