    Did Mafuyu's mother not already mention that she'd met Kanade? (Gen Q)

      I just rewatched the scene, but it looks like Mafuyu asks if her mother has met Kanade, and Mafuyu's mom doesn't confirm nor deny it (she just bulldozes her way into trying to get Mafuyu to hand over her phone).
      Thanks for pointing it out though! I will maybe have to make some minor adjustments to this chapter.

        Okay that's more or less what I recalled happening I just wanted to raise that point since this whole chapter kinda hinges on it.

        Name-dropping Kanade without saying literally else was such a dick move. "I know who your friends are" just waving around the leverage she has over her own daughter.

          Yup, I made a slight adjustment to the previous chapter that hopefully patches this issue up!

          But yeah, ever since Mafuyu's mom got a voice actor, it makes everything she says and does so much more slimey and disgusting. I really hope that Colorful Palette/SEGA don't go the route of trying to make Mafuyu's mom seem sympathetic after the latest event cause we did see a brief inner thought of "Oh, if this keeps up, Mafuyu will fail and then not be able to attain her dreams and I can't let that happen." Which, I interpret that as projecting her wants onto Mafuyu, but who knows.

            The fact that they were bold enough to give us KanaMafu cohabitation gives me a lot of faith that they won't go down a route of cheap redemption. Mafuyu and her mother may come to a compromise, maybe, but I don't think at this stage in the game that they're going to hug and make up (at least not so long as her mother won't admit to hurting her).
