Ahhh!!! This is such an extremely cool and interesting concept. And who doesn’t love the story of the Nutcracker? It’s one of those timeless Christmas classics. I think what you’ve written so far is absolutely brilliant. Terry as the toy maker… Johnny as his godson (which I think is adorable, btw). I really like how you wrote about how much Terry hates Dynatox which is a job he’s essentially been forced into by his father. Even though this is an AU, you’ve done an amazing job at capturing all the characters and touching on key aspects of their lives according to canon. I can’t wait to read more!! It is a classic isn't it? It threw me when I was researching for it and learned it was initially considered a flop. I'm so glad you're enjoying it! While watching the ballets, the first one I watched had a long haired man and I was like TERRY SILVER!!! And it just seemed perfect, a guy who had according to the original story was both beloved and a little feared, rich but also a little eccentric and I just felt like it was very fitting. I thought it'd also be a good chance to dig a little at his missed opportunities. He got forced into a life he didn't really want but for financial stability he didn't have a choice. Plus I thought it'd be fun to put Johnny and Terry in the same circles and so making Johnny the godchild felt very fitting.
