(Archived.)This was a great story, I really liked how it was all outsider POV (until the very end): people witnessing wwx's 'ghost' puttering about and actually doing things. It makes them think about their actions, and about wei wuxian and what he did. Wwx plays Healing for Lan Wangji, tucks A-Yuan in at night, does paperwork for Jiang Cheng, looks up old friends and initiates a rescue. Indeed, wwx does all kinds of things that a ghost or spirit should not be able to do, like ignore Inquiry, use spiritual energy, learn things and interact with spiritual tools.
I don't want to give a way too much, so.... Here, have a very satisfying fix-it.
