Ten years have already passed since Sirius' slaying of the great dragon and World Eater Alduin. Sirius has subsequently settled in and is not as hopeful as Harry that a way exists to get back home. Thankfully for Harry, there is yet one more person who passed through the veil that fateful night.

Summary
Virelna Saren was orphaned at the age of 10 in Solstheim after her parents were killed by netch while trying to get to the city of Raven Rock. She was able to escape, and with the help of another dunmer she and a group of other refugees made it to Skyrim. The Dunmer who took her in took her from Windhelm, trying to get to a safer city. Not far out of the city, they were attacked by a group of nords. Her dunmer friend was killed, but she was taken by the bandits. They kept her for 16 years. As they trained, so did she.
