Summary
Lieutenant Simon Riley, after suffering more loss than his mind can handle, has been declared a danger to himself and to others. The compromise that allows him to maintain his position in the 141 is to be under constant observation. Not just by anyone, either—by an android named John.
Ghost is beyond offended and appalled by the proposal, and he makes it very clear to everyone around him the extent of his displeasure. Why should he have a babysitter attached to his back? And worse yet, why couldn’t he at least get a human to watch his back? There was no way in hell he was going to entrust his life to a lifeless, brainless, heartless android.
As John and Ghost get to know each other better, however, Ghost’s definition of ‘human’ is challenged, and he is forced to alter his view of what makes a man.

Detroit Become Human AU! Ghost is a bit like Hank, and Soap is his ‘Connor’ equivalent. It doesn’t follow the story of the game, it just simply exists in the same universe, where androids exist and humans look down on them. There are a few references to the main plot throughout, but really, it kind of explains itself, so you don’t need to know the game.

Summary
“Partner!?” He snapped, walking over to Fowler’s desk to lean his hands down onto it, eyes glaring up at the man who stood behind it. “Since when do I need a fucking partner. You really gonna stick me with this rookie?” He grimaced.
You frowned, suddenly feeling a wave of irritation hit you as you watched him talk, your stomach twisting with an awful feeling of distaste over the negative reaction to being put on his team.
“Reed, I am absolutely done with your shit. You’re a good detective, but lately, you’ve been doing shit all and I need someone who can keep you in line.” He barked. “You know very well Detective Y/N is more than able to handle herself. You’d be good to pay attention and learn a few things from her.”

“Jesus fucking Christ, Connor! Spit that out!”
Hank’s rough bark of an order barely phased the android. He didn’t deter from the task at hand, his finger lingering on his tongue deciphering just what the liquid was that was pooled around the victim’s head. The murder had been a brutal one, most of the android victim’s synthetic casing has been melted away and burned beyond belief.
