After the ink machine was made the angels, calix animi, and the surface dwellers leaders made a deal to hide the machine and pieces and to hide the demons to protect them and the demons from themselves.
But a man Joey Drew took the power of the machine for himself to make a living bendy but when he got what he wanted his life was taken by the first ever living creation he made. Luckily he never got his corrupted hands on the pieces.
