If he had had the choice, Impulse would have wanted to stay away from it all. He wanted to do what was best for his store and the people he cared about. Bdubs knew he was doing what it took to survive.

Trapped in the middle of nowhere, Grian is stuck in a glorified prison with seventeen other people—each with powers ranging from mildly inconvenient to actively catastrophic.

Etho could have sworn that he had been at his base only a few seconds ago, not standing ankle-deep in the churning sea ready to follow the siren song and sink into the sea’s unforgiving maw.
It was still trying to grab at him, trying to drag him into a riptide and pull him out into the depths where something old slept. Telling him that it was sorry, that it didn’t mean to bite, that it didn’t mean to hurt him. That it wouldn’t do it again if he only let go.
He could taste salt water in his mouth even though he hadn’t gone any farther into the water.

Summary
In this atmospheric physiological mystery fiction, Grian and Scar are in a long term— 3 year—loving relationship. One late night, all of it suddenly begins to turn.. wrong. Slowly, Grian begins to feel like it’s his fault that Scar is pushing away, claiming that he’s the problem so he starts to push away. One morning, while Grian is making breakfast for scar, he overhears a phone call and descends into insanity. He overthinks and pushes farther and farther away, until eventually, they have a fight.
The fight leads to more serious problems. Unbeknownst to them both, the world outside is beginning to shift. Small things, barely noticeable at first have started to fray at the edges of normalcy: neighbours who start to look distorted. Something is unraveling beneath the surface. The apocalypse, when it comes, will not arrive with fire or flood, but with silence, and memory loss—something ancient and watching, worming its way into the familiar, loving relationship he’s built. Once humans turn into tall beings with no human features.. no face. Voids and shadows of who they once were.

Summary
Long ago, the Watchers gave Grian one chance to be a player again. One full life on Hermitcraft, and once he inevitably died, his old life would resume. No peaceful end, no new beginning, just a continuation of being a Watcher puppet. Grian thought he had plenty of time left, but when a strange accident makes him lose that precious opportunity, he pleaded with the Watchers relentlessly. Surprisingly, they agreed, but with a particular addendum: he must tell the Hermits about the Watchers, and who exactly he is. Things don't go as planned. Faced with this, Grian has to learn what it means to truly be seen.
