Summary
Thomas is being wooed. There was no other way to put it. Were he a maiden, these gifts would be enticement to wed. But he was a squire about to be knighted, and he was being hunted down by all the lords with coin in their pockets and ranks to spare to join with them. He could have told them that he'd already made up his mind, but he didn't think it would help.
Leon is struck by the sudden realisation that his nephew and heir is an adult and he is not coping well, but he is so proud of everything Thomas has achieved.

Leon woke to the news that the crops had failed overnight, then the next day that the livestock were all perished. He wasn't expecting for word to filter back that the boy he'd raised from squire to knight had cursed the land. He wasn't expecting to turn to another king for aid to feed his people.
Morgana felt like she was going mad - watching as her people suffered for lack of food. Arthur had disappeared and the next day, Leon arrived, and she'd never been more grateful to see anyone in her life.

France, 1916.
The Great War rages on. It is a dark time for humanity, and a young British soldier by the name of Arthur Pendragon does what he can to keep himself and his comrades alive amidst the blood and carnage of the Western Front. Hardened by his time in the trenches, Arthur cannot believe that his situation could get any worse.
However, dark forces that had been dormant for millennia have suddenly returned, bringing power that had been the stuff of fantasy and nightmares into a world that was woefully unprepared to meet it.
With the emergence of these dark forces, Arthur soon finds himself thrust headfirst into a new war he never knew existed, a destiny he never realized was his, and a legend that would change the world forever.

Merlin knew Arthur was a great hunter. Arthur had proven it time and time again, despite how often Merlin tried to give the poor creatures a chance to run. Arthur had confessed to him once that his senses had been heightened ever since he had been bit, especially so when he was in view of the moon.
And Merlin trusted Arthur, trusted him like no other. So when they were out hunting, and Arthur told him to run, he ran.
