Charles drunkenly flirts with Erik one night, and feels absolutely terrible. Meanwhile, Erik is dying because he thinks that Charles had noticed he is in love with him - despite Charles already having a boyfriend. Fluff and many realisations ensue.

Summary
Charles has adjusted to life with Generalized Anxiety Disorder and a Panic Disorder, and he’s got a good handle on his life. Now a Professor at his own school, life is flourishing, and he feels at home in his profession.
But when a news report brings word of a nearby shooting conducted by a mutant protest group, his anxiety spirals out of control as he grapples with a panic-ridden obsession to protect his students.
He pushes his mind and his body to the point of breaking, and all of the mental burnout builds up inside, more and more, until everyone starts to notice- even his students.
Charles’ selfless nature is his greatest strength and also his greatest weakness. But he has a hard time stopping when it comes to the protection of those he loves.
