She’s bored! Rural towns have stories, though. Maybe she’ll find something?
Azalea Firefern is sick of adventures. Fifteen years ago, she got away and settled on the dilapidated farm with nothing but her cat and a prayer. Now, she’s managed to settle. Of course the law comes and messes it up, leaving her in charge of a troublesome hacker who got herself on their watchlist. She’s fought this hard for her peace though, and no cocky computer whiz, enchanting adventurer or ancient magic is going to mess that up for her.
Mateo Luis is scared. Eighteen years ago, they made a mistake, and it sent them running from the only home they’d ever known. Now, they’ve returned. But it isn’t easy to face the people you’ve wronged, so they hide, fighting the monsters hidden in the depths, to do something. Can they ever move forward?
