Accidentally sending his message to Loki instead of Laura though, definitely changes things. A lot of them actually since it doesn’t take long before he has a god in his bed moaning unbelievable things. Weird things that range from love declarations and making their babies to next level praise and fancy magic marriage proposals.

Years before he was a SHIELD Agent, Clint used to be a member of Medusa, a Black Ops Program created by the CIA. Not just any member but Delta One. Arguably the most dangerous member to come out of Medusa and never quits sane afterwards. He hid it well but there was always that fractured part of his mind that when push came to shove was there, ready to kill. Well Alexander Conklin makes a call to bring Clint back in but not in Medusa instead into the Treadstone 71st program to kill Carlos the Jackal.
In bringing Clint back into the fold Clint finds out the Jackal is hunting his brother. So it's a race against time and his team to find Barney before the Jackal does. And in failing that. Killing the Jackal. His mind already fractured from Medusa and Loki's actions this might be the final push of his sanity.
Coulson freshly out of the hospital and physical therapy now is in a race against time. Find Barton before he gets himself killed.

When the Avengers arrive at Stark tower to retrieve Loki to make him answer for what he's done, they find themselves surprised by what they find. Loki with a face wet with tears and the poor boy soiled himself from all the fear and confusion he was feeling. Something that Thor was familiar with, but something that Loki has not done in years. And this was something Thor knew that Loki was not faking, making this whole thing more of a dilemma.
Regardless, Thor believes this would last a couple days. But when they past, and Loki remains the same, and have no memory of what has happened. It was all a fog to him. But something was keeping Loki this way. His nightmares and waking everyone up each night made the Avengers think something happened before Loki arrives. And they would soon find their answer.
But Clint is not so happy. He believes that Loki is fooling everyone, and he is fuming that Loki could trick everyone so well. And he is on a mission to prove that Loki is lying, regardless of the fact that Loki could be genuine. But Clint hated that Loki brainwashed him and forced him to do things, so he wants revenge. Even when others take interest in Loki, Clint refuses to care about him.

Summary
Clint wakes up in a strange house, being taken care of by a strange man, who he quickly identifies as the infamous Winter Soldier. But the soldier doesn't seem to have any ill-intent as he looks after him, and Clint decides to make it his mission to break his walls down one by one and get to know him, even if the soldier doesn't want him to.
And maybe Clint needs someone to help break down the walls he's created around himself, too.
Or, just because the Winter Soldier brings Clint home and rescues him, doesn't mean he's the only one who gets saved.

Summary
The one in which Bucky is a WereLion and Clint is a human disaster with a heart of gold. Alternate Universe that begins a week after the battle of NY and the timeline is late Spring, early summer. Yelena is Clint’s best friend instead of Natasha. Coulson didn’t die. The writer plays fast and loose with the MCU timeline and Bucky has a mostly similar but very different background along with Natasha and Brock.
While healing from being wounded during the battle of NY, Clint gets mail that tells him he needs to go to Iowa so he uses this as an excuse to avoid having to spend months in the tower being bored. On the way to his farm, Clint stops briefly in the town motel overnight. In the morning, he is groggy on pain-killers and pretty much out of it when he encounters the Circus and Bucky the lion being tormented. He has no idea what is going on and things snowball a bit. Now his farm is hosting the Circus and he’s not sure how that happened but he's going to roll with it.
Clint gets embroiled in many things at the farm related to his brother’s shenanigans and Bucky the Lion then a guy who’s supposed to be healing from brain trauma and a broken arm should not be dealing with.

The soldier could connect this silence as one of being uncomfortable, marked by the string of tension on the archer's movements --something only skilled people like himself and Natasha could easily identify on their favorite archer, which said archer partially hated at times when he really just wanted to swallow in his own misery--.

There is a special kind of guilt that comes with being alive for Bucky.
Sometimes, he wonders if Steve had a secret conversation with his mama—another memory Bucky will never have—where Sarah asked the same thing of him. To save her boy. To not feel guilty about doing whatever he has to do in order to make sure Bucky survives.
Maybe that’s how Steve can handle the blood that has dripped onto his hands, leaking over from Bucky’s soaked ones. Because, like an all-forgiving god, Sarah has relieved him of his sins; relieved him of the guilt that comes from keeping someone alive when they don't want to live.
OR
a fear of the dark has burrowed so deep inside of bucky that even blinking is terrifying.
