Starlight Hills was a town that never seemed to change. It was a small cluster of buildings tucked away between fields and freeways; A simple place that never tried to be more than what it was. It was surrounded by winding roads, open fields, and had sparse law enforcement that were willing to turn a blind eye in exchange for a few dollars. All in all, it was the perfect place for a race.

“Porter's got…history here,” Lumber said. “You'll have to ask him, if he hasn't told you.” Porter was Electra's…well, Lumber wasn't sure what to call what went on between Porter and the electric engine. Partner or even boyfriend seemed too serious, hook-up too casual. They were something, and Porter seemed happy with whatever it was. Or alright with it, at least. His brother was less forthcoming with Lumber about whatever he had going on with Electra than he was about most things. But Electra didn't seem to be doing him any harm, so ultimately he didn't need to know; it wasn't his place to judge whose bed Porter was in or why. Just like it wasn't his place to divulge what he knew, if Porter hadn't told Electra about his past.
