“...What’s your name then, eastern transplant?” the young man asked when Artemy could taste smoke.
“Artemy,” he answered, earning raised eyebrows for his honesty. The young man seemed surprised by the response to his own question. Instead of pulling out his own cigarette, he reclaimed the one Artemy had chosen to take a drag himself. There were plenty in his pack before, though, weren’t there?
“Artemy… My, my… That’s your real name, isn’t it?”
“…Should it not be?” he asked.
The other young man was still smiling at him though and offering him back the cigarette still to share.
“No. I rather think it should be,” he answered. “Audentes fortuna iuvat… Just for that, you can call me Daniil.”

Somehow life never changes for Frank. Here in town, every day is the same. No one else ever seems too bothered by this, so Frank figures they shouldn’t be either.
They simply go through the motions, with a complete understanding of how little choice they have in the matter.
Either they’re going to the store, or to catch butterflies, or to pick flowers with Julie, most of the time they end up at Wally’s house talking about what to paint.
These aren’t bad ways to spend a day, Frank just sometimes wishes they could do something that really matters.
And then one day, there’s someone new.

A few blinks of her long lashes, and then Tabitha was grinning. “Shiv,” she sounded scandalized and thrilled. “Are you asking me to set you up with a woman?”
“Yes, if you know any who won’t mind the fact that I’m married and not looking for anything serious.” Shiv leaned back in her seat, chin up, game face on.
Tabitha sized her up for a moment, then rested her cheek on her hand, crossing her legs in front of her. “Well, I could give you a few names. Mine, for starters.”

"I guess I'm just concerned about our own reputations in all of this? Wouldn't this be, um, possibly more embarrassing for us than it is for them? And isn't it kind of, I don't know, morally wrong to pretend that we're gay and in love and use that as a tool of revenge?"
"Well, when you put it like that, Greg, it sounds shitty."
Cut loose from Waystar and on the precipice of divorce, Tom enlists Greg's help in order to desperately (and drunkenly) come up with a plan to save their jobs. Or enact vengeance, it could go either way.

Summary
The late Logan Roy, a person little given to poetic enthusiasm, proclaimed me safe, once. Well, he said his daughter had chosen me for that reason—that she felt I would not betray her—and that is much the same thing, I feel, no matter what came after. I do not speak in vanity, but simply record the fact: the late Logan Roy called me other things, too. The late Logan Roy called me son.
