“Just - run into the backroom, quick as you can!” insists Aziraphale.
Crowley rolls his eyes. “Right, because Gabriel will never find me in there!”

There was a wing over him suddenly, feather coating thinner than it should be, but beautiful and strong and a shelter from the rain all the same. Crowley’s eyes found the demon’s, and Aziraphale offered him the smallest of smiles before casting his eyes back towards the humans. Crowley let his attention stay on them, too, if only because he didn’t know what this feeling was, in that squishy organ his corporation decided to grow. He rather thought that maybe this was one of those questions Aziraphale would dodge, and might be all the safer for it.

One misstep and poor Crowley could be permanently discorporated. Erased. Gone forever. It just isn’t worth the risk despite their growing longing for each other over the years. Of course, they find creative ways to get around it.
