She did not dare to struggle, for there was an arrow in her peduncle. Blood was coloring the water with red, surrounding her rapidly, smirking at her with mockery. If she moved, the arrow would cut her tail. So she arched her body and reached for the long arrow. Her fingers curled around the unbreakable metal and tried to break herself free, struggling to pull the arrow out.
She fought for her freedom.
But before she even knew, long male fingers covered with burnt skin grabbed her wrist in a subtly move and she was trapped.
